Converting from a shuffle to a nano

Hi
Just got a Nano the other day and already have the latest version of itunes on my notebook < running windows xp> and I have been able to load songs onto the shuffle for the last yr. Now I want to load them onto the Nano and I'm not getting anywhere. Shouldn't it just be the same? Shouldn't I be able to just go to the itunes store and buy and load? What about the songs I already have? Shouldn't I be able to put them on the Nano? Or is there something else I need to do to transfer from using a Shuffle to using a Nano? Getting verrrrrrrry frustrated.

Changing from a shuffle to a Nano

Yesterday I switched from a Shuffle to a Nano. I removed Itunes and all related info from the shuffle and downloaded new software that was included with the Nano, basically I started from scratch. For some reason when I buy a song from iTunes, it won't let me download to my Nano (my Nano was already connected to my computer). What gives?

Thanks for your input. I am fairly new at this iPod stuff, but I like to think I am pretty computer literate. When I "re-downloaded" the software, the songs I previously purchased did download into my nano. Amazingly, Apple still recognized my profile, etc. After I let the nano sync, I purchased a song and I could not "drag" it from my library or puchased area into the nano. Should I do the same thing you mentioned about deautorizing?

The songs on your Shuffle should still be in your iTunes library. That means you should just be able to connect your Nano to the same iTunes library and sync it just as you would with your Shuffle. There is no limit to the number of iPods, iPads, or iPhones you can sync to one computer, iTunes library, or account.
As for preparing the Shuffle for your husband, just restore it via iTunes and then let him sync it to his own iTunes library or if its the same iTunes library, let him configure it to sync only his content.

It sounds like you want to transfer music from your older iPod shuffle to iTunes and then sync it to the new iPod nano. I have a shuffle and want to get a Nano. Do I have to un-install Itunes and then re-install it i make the Nano work?

No you don't, just connect your new Nano and follow the on screen instructions, it will connect to your existing iTunes. Converting from IPOD Shuffle to New Ipod

I previously had an IPOD Shuffle and received a new Ipod for Xmas. I have 42 songs on my shuffle and would like to convert them to my new Ipod. I have a Gateway Computer with Windows. I would like to give my son my Shuffle as it is not even a year old. We do not have the same taste in music so he wants his old songs.

2. Can two Ipods use the same computer.
How do i do all this without losing my music and getting it on to the new IPOd. How do I accomplish all this?

I pay to get music from Kazaa which uses a WMA format, when I try to add it to my Itunes it says that the songs is from a WMA format and Itunes uses AAC format, how can I get this music to my Itunes to put on my I-pod 16gb

How can I transfer my music from my iPod shuffle to new "Nano"

My iPod Shuffle has music I downloaded from my daughter's computer. I now have a new iPod Nano which I have set up on my laptop and to which I would like to transfer the music on the Shuffle. When I connect the Shuffle to my laptop, however, iTunes only gives me the option to update the Shuffle, nothing regarding the transfer from the Shuffle to iTunes.
ANY HELP OUT THERE???

I've just bought a 8GB nano to replace my 'mini' and was wondering how I transfer the music from itunes to my new nano - any ideas???
Also, how much d'ya reckon I could sell my 'mini' for??

Turn the iPod on and choose a language from the list. Now you should see the "main menu" where you can configure your iPod.
When you first connect the iPod, you see the set up assistant/licensing agreement and of course you must click "agree" in order to proceed.
Then you'll be prompted to name the iPod and choose a method of auto syncing your iPod. If you want to manually mange the content of your iPod, remove the check mark from the auto sync option. Click "done" and that takes you to the registration screen. Then your done, and you can begin transferring music from your iTunes library.

Using "shuffle" on a Nano

Is it possible to exclude some tracks from the "shuffle" feature on a Nano please? I was told this was possible in the Apple store but when I was unable to do it I phoned Apple support and they told me it was not possible. Any assistance would be gratefully received.

sort of. you can try shufling within specific playlists on the ipod.
create a playlist containing only the songs you want to hear during a shuffle.
then, on the iPod, go into the "Settings" menu, and switch the Shuffle control within there to "Songs".
now head into the playlist with just the songs the want to shuffle, and start playing. the nano will now shuffle within that playlist.
(that's how i do this on green eyes.)

Your files should be located on your computer, in which case you can connect your new nano and drag the songs onto the nano icon.

Unable to edit my songs in my shuffle, such as deleting songs from my shuffle and adding new songs into it.

When i first bought my shuffle a few years back, i would use the itunes in my old laptop to add/delete songs from it. However, recently i realised im unable to do so on my new laptop (using itunes). Today, im unable to add/delete songs from my shuffle, using my old laptop or new laptop. Need help on this, as im unable to change my songs in my shuffle. Appreciate any help or suggestions.

CRMToolBox gives you an option to work on webresources. Alternatly, You can export the webresource, work in Visual Studio and use the browse button on the webresource editor to upload the updated file.

there will be an area where it will be mentioned write your piece of code below this line.
paste the below code:
Concatenate source_fields-0calmonth2 source_fields-0calyear into result.

save the routine and execute the package.

The bullet list, numbered list and the normal text is not converting when I am converting from RH 9 to MS Word 2010

I am created a new CSS in Robohelp 9. I have also created a new template in Word 2010. The style sets for different information elements like (Heading, bullets, body text, ) are more or less same between the CSS and the new templates. I am also able to map the .css styles to Word template when I am converting from RH to Word as I am getting the necessary option in the drop-down list.
However, when the output is generated, the bullet, the numbered list and the body text is not converting at all. The body text works sometimes. However, the numbered list and bullet list is coming out as images.
If anybody knows the solution, I can share the .css and Word template.

How do I convert from pdf to word? I see an option to do so, however, when I click on it, Ia box opens...

when I try to convert from pdf to word, a box opens and suggests I am to click on (select) the file I want to convert. It sounds all well but it does not work. I really really just want my files back in word, all of them, no matter, because after having to reinstall windows 7 (done by techs) and me having to re-download all my HP drivers, and tools, and other software, which I imagine included adobe reader, now I see some pdf files won't open. It says, "access denied" and boy that really makes me wantt o scream. I am the ONLY user, it is my notebook, I am the administrator so I can't figure out why some files open and some don't. I can't ascertain any difference.
I would be grateful for any help. This has become just too exhausting. After reinstalling sooooooooo much, then to have to go through this with what is a free application? I say I think not.
This should NEVER happen with any free application and boy there is NO help to be found. They blow you off the phone fast telling you it's a free application. Then why are you putting in this kind of stuff that it won't open? This is NOT a shared notebook, it's mine. I am the only user, personal use.

Gee, Pat, this is a real big help.
Nobody could possibly think anyone would ask for help without first trying to fix the issue oneself. Or maybe you do. I have opened the file and looked under security. I have changed it to owner-notebook (which is what the techs called me) and clicked accept but geepers it didn't work.
Maybe someone else has an idea.

I ended up being able to open some pdf files after transferring them from one partition category to another. I wish it was that easy as you seem to think.
