Converting graph in publisher 2007 to PDF

Help!!!!!!!!! I always got problem in converting graph (in a
publisher file) to PDF :(
After printing the publisher file to PDF then I open my newly
created PDF file the graph is missing. It's replaced with a black
retangle box.
Remark:
The graph in the publisher file is created in Microsfot Excel
2007 then the graph is copy and paste into the publisher
file.

I suspect it is a shrinking issue in Publisher (check the print properties). A lot of packages reduce the margin so it will print all of the information on printers, many printers add margin space. At least worth a check.

I am trying to convert a Microsoft Publisher Document to PDF but it fails every time although the reason is not clear. Anyone else had problems like this and how do I solve it? Thanks. Ray

    Hi raythree,
I'm sorry that your PDF conversion is working. Can you please tell me if you're getting a specific error message? Knowing that can help pinpoint the cause of the conversion failure. However, here are a couple of things that you could try:
Clear your browser cache (steps to do this vary by browser).
If you're using a work computer, check with your IT team to confirm if you have firewall/proxy settings that restrict the ability to upload files to the Internet.
Try another web browser.  A list of supported browsers for accessing the ExportPDF service is available here: http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/.
Also, note that there is a 100MB file size limit, so if your publisher file is larger than that, it won't upload to ExportPDF.
I hope this helps. But let us know if you need further assistance.
    Best,
    Sara

  • ADOBE PDF - print driver problem converting Publisher 2007 to PDF

I cannot find an answer to my problem anywhere online. Our company does not have InDesign yet, so I have to use Publisher 2007 (Vista operating system) to create ads. The problem is that when I go to print and choose ADOBE PDF to convert the Publisher document, the PDF output is 1/4-1/2" smaller all the way around. It is perfectly sized in Publisher, but the PDF output keeps reducing. Is there a fix for this? Thank you.

I suspect it is a shrinking issue in Publisher (check the print properties). A lot of packages reduce the margin so it will print all of the information on printers, many printers add margin space. At least worth a check.

  • How do I keep my original text colours when converting from Publisher 2007 to PDF format?

Recently I am finding that when I convert my Publisher 2007 documents to PDF, the text colours do not remain the same, but revert to black or grey?  Clip art retains its colours.  What am I doing wrong?

    They won't show up unless
you have click on each text box
    Go  Format  > Shape
    click on lines
chose desired line color for the borders.
once the Borders a colored they will show up in the created PDFs.

  • How can I convert a Microsoft Publisher doc to PDF when the file size is LARGE?

I have a Microsoft Publisher document that I need converted to PDF. Typically I have no issues converting from Publisher to PDF (and usually can just do it through the "save as" feature in Publisher.) However, this particular file is laden with graphics and therefore very large. I was able to convert it once, but it made some of the graphics as blank boxes. When I try again to convert, it gives me an error message.
Is there a way to conver a LARGE Publisher file to PDF without losing any of the images contained within the document? Please help!

Try emptying the Temp folder. Are you using PDF Maker (not sure that is available for Publisher) or the MS plugin? If PDF Maker, try turning off the tags and reducing the amount of bookmarks needed to a minimum. As an alternative, simply print to the Adobe PDF printer -- will typically give a smaller file and not run into these creation problems for large document, but you will not get bookmarks or such in the conversion process.

  • Problems converting from MS Word 2007 to PDF using LiveCycle Designer 8

    Hi all,
Hope anybody out there could assist me. have a Word document (we are using
Office 2007) and I'm trying to use Adobe Live Cycle Designer 8.0 to convert
a form from word to pdf. However, I get an error message (as shown in the
    image below)
Is this a compatibility problem with Office 07?
    Appreciate all the assistance.
    Thanks and regards.

    Hi Peggy,
I found a solution in a tech note from the adobe site:
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=329044&sliceId=2
2007 is a little tricky, since the instructions it gives are for Office 2003.
In 2007 I went into "Word Options" from that funky button at the top of the Word window.
From there, go into "Add Ins".
At the bottom where it says "Manage" select "Com Add Ins" then click "Go".
You should have a list that includes the Acrobat PDFMaker Office Add In. My Add In file is located at: \\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\PDFMaker\Office\PDFMOfficeAddin.dll
The document finally converted, but it couldn't autodetect any of the form fields I'd placed on the original Word Document (.docx). Still looking for an answer on that one.
    Good luck.

  • What do I need to convert a Microsoft Publisher file to PDF?

I have Microsoft XL Professional and I am doing newsletters for an organization I belong to. I am doing them in Microsoft Publisher, but want to email them to the members using PDF. What Arcrobat product do I need and how do I do it?

    Hi Barb,
Acrobat.com, a free online collection of services, does not support the conversion of Microsoft Publisher files to PDF. Here is the list of supported file types:
text (TXT, PS, RTF), Microsoft Office (DOC, XLS, PPT, PRJ), Open Office (ODT, ODP, ODS, ODG, ODF), Star Office (SWX, SXI, SXC, SXD, STW), Word Perfect (WPD), and image files (BMP, GIF, JPEG, TIFF, PNG)
The full version of Adobe Acrobat, the most current being Acrobat 9, supports a much longer list of file types. For more information, see: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/
I'm guessing that you're using some version of the desktop product at Church?
    Best,
    Michelle

  • Links do not work on Macs in document converted to PDF from Publisher 2007

Not sure whether to post this under Acrobat Windows or Mac as the PDFs are generated on a Windows PC but the problem involves Macs.  I have come up against a very strange problem.  I have converted an MS Publisher document to PDF using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on Windows 7.  The converted hyperlinks in this document work well on three separate Windows PCs (2 running XP, 1 running Windows 7) but when a Mac user views the PDF, the hyperlinks are not active.
What could be the possible cause of this?  Any help appreciated.

More than likely it's because they are not using Adobe Reader or Acrobat to view the file. Ask them to be sure they are not using Mac Preview or another third party PDF viewer.

  • Hyperlinks Transfer to PDF From Publisher 2007??

My hyperlinks in Publisher 2007 are not transferring to PDF.  I  have done a video to better explain it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lsB0Pv_XCs.
Thank  you for any help you can give.

Acrobat 9's PDFMaker supports creating links when you convert Publisher 2007 to PDF.
However, the "create link" option must be selected in PDFMaker's Configuration settings.
n.b,. For any Office 2007 application, Acrobat 8.1 or better is required.
Earlier releases do not support Office 2007.
Check you CS4 install. If needed, do the step updates of dot releases to get to the current dot release.
More specifically, for links "on"/"over" an image.
You need to assure that when you use Hyperlink in an Office application the link fully spans the image.
You'd want it to start somewhat to the left of the image and end somewhat to the right of the image.
(if that makes any sense  )
Else, in the PDF page content, the link can be "under" the image and not usable.
    Be well...

  • Converting ms publisher 2007 files to pdf in acrobat x pro

I really could use help with my project.  I have a publisher 2007 file which I converted to pdf in Acrobat x pro.  The links won't work.  There are 4 links.  2 to external web sites and 2 are email links.  I tried setting the links in publisher then converting.  That didn't workl.  I tried removing the links then converting and adding the links in Acrobat.  They don't work either after I publish them to my web site.  Please tell me what I am doing wrong.
    Thanks.

Could you post the link you mention? How did you create the PDF from Publisher -- there are several ways and some save the links and some don't. Also, some are MS methods and others are Adobe methods.

  • Problems converting MS Publisher 2007 documents to PDF

Hi I have MS Publisher 2007 and create documents using MS Publisher then convert them to PDF without ANY problems - until about 2 months ago. Nothing changed other than the usual updates from Adobe and Microsoft and now I cannot convert ANY files from MS Publisher to PDF - neither through the MS Publisher utility or the Adobe utility. Crazy thing is it is ONLY a problem for MS Publisher - every other Office product prints to PDF fine. I cannot even save to PDF with Publisher - I get the MS error message "Publisher cannot save the file". When I try to create a PDF using Adobe it progresses through the conversion process and acts like it has created the file - but I cannot find it in the location specified and it's nowhere on my PC. There's no error message created by Adobe Acrobat either. We've tried to understand what the problem is and for some reason when I reduce file size UNDER 1MB MS Publisher and Adobe behave and create the PDF! Over 1MB and nothing doing.
It's driving me crazy as we choose to use MS Publisher for all our creative stuff - not because it's cheap but because the interface is more user friendly and I guess we're used to MS products.
    Details:
    MS Publisher - 2007 (12.0.6535.5002) SP2 MSO (12.0.6535.5002)
Part of Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007
    Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro - Version 9.3.4
    Part of Design Suite CS5
I would REALLY appreciate it if someone could PLEASE advise how we can fix this problem.

***** Actually, girls and guys I think I have found the problem!!!!!
It's not just pictures that can cause the "Cannot Save File" message it's also fonts.
We were using Myriad Pro in all our Case Studies and up until a certain date 2 months ago it was great all could be printed and there were no problems. Then for some reason - and I have since discovered the font Myriad Pro has a licensing issue on our PC's - all our Case Study templates were unable to be converted and we were having issues all over the place.
I went through the advice contained in these posts (and also onb the Adobe website) and removed images one by one to see what was actually causing the problem. Nothing, no result the issues still existed. Then I hit upon the idea of changing the font to Arial and BINGO!!! it worked!!!! So, my advice is to ensure that your images are free from errors (whatever that means!) and you're using fonts that have no licensing issues and Publisher will be able to convert them no problems.
Now, as for the advice Microsoft gave us...well I am as frustrated as everyone else is that we had to find the answers ourselves and MS couldn't have developed a tool that would pick up these issues for us in the document itself. C'mon Microsoft you make this great product - make it even better and give us better diagnostic tools please.
Oh and by the way, when I did the same document in InDesign (which was a pain in the a...) it handled the font issue no problems - explain that one Microsoft.

  • Converting Publisher 2007 File to PDF

    Hello!
When I attempt to convert a Publisher 2007 file that contains transparent text boxes with shading, it does not convert the boxes properly.  It converts the box transparent color with horizontal\vertical lines instead of a solid shading color.
I want the PDF to look exactly like my Publisher file.
Can you advise me on what I need to do?  I have already adjusted by dpi...and that does not help.
Thank you for any help you can provide.

I tried both Press Quality and High Resolution Print and I searched the dialog box for transparency options.  I found an option to create smooth gradients, but nothing related to transparency.  Can't help the OP out just yet.

  • Problem converting Publisher 2007 files with PDFMaker

    Hi all
I hope someone can help me.
I am a technician at a large company and we recently upgraded a users PC to Vista Business (32 bit) from XP Pro.
Since this was done, the user has a problem with Publisher files on Office 2007.
When trying to convert the files using Adobe Acrobat Standard 9 with the PDFMaker plug-in on Publisher, it spools the file to the AdobePDF printer and the job then disappears from the printer but the converting bit just hangs at 60% and Publisher 2007 freezes up and Acrobat is not launched showing the converted publisher file.
This is only happening when converting Publisher files. Word Excel etc are working fine.
When logged in as administrator, it works perfectly. The converted publisher file spools to the AdobePDF printer, disappears from the queue and Acrobat Standard 9 is launched showing the publisher document as a PDF file. Giving the user administrator rights is not an option. This apparently worked perfectly for the user when his machine OS was XP Pro using Office 2007 and Acrobat Standard 9.
I have tried a repair of Office, a repair and then a complete uninstall and reinstall of Abobe Standard 9. Also given the user full control of the Adobe folders but the same thing happens with the Publisher conversions.
    Any ideas?
    James
