Converting master pages into master spreads

Master pages/spreads are driving me nuts!
Am working over an old document - (but I think the original was converted from qxd) Although document set up is facing pages - the master pages are master pages rather than spreads. This means if I want to insert a page and reflow the document - it just adds a page - so that I will have 3 pages in a row amongst a document of spreads.
I think this is because the masters are a right hand page and a left hand page rather than a spread. There is no reason why it shouldn't be a spread!
Also the first page isn't as a facing pages document should be - a right hand page - in this doc, it is a left - Arrrggghhhh!
I have tried everything I know - can anyone help - hopefully this makes sense? Is it possible to turn master pages into master spreads? I feel that this should be easy - but I can't bloomin well find it and none of my peers know either.
BTW - if I try to create a new master it only allows me to do a page master not a spread. I did create a spread master by dragging up a spread from the main doc - I then applied that to the doc - but I still had the left hand first page and 3 pages in a row problem.
I am sure this is easy - but it's got me!

Doh! Pages into spreads - How many times have I looked at that?? Knew it was easy! Looking but not seeing! Cheers Bob (I am very embarrassed!)
However - turning pages into spreads did not solve the problem - still have a left hand first page, still have extra pages in a row when I add an extra page and all text is now completley off the page, beacause I chnaged master to spread - Hooorah!
I think creating brand new doc is going to be lot quicker and easier - I always think there's going to be a quick, easy and logical solution!

Convert jsp page into xml or dom for search

Hello everyone,
I have to build an application that searches for message beans in all jsp page. I did it the traditional way, using scanner and string methods. Its working but its not perfect. So i want to convert all my jsp page into xml format and then process them. My jsp pages are quite complicated. I used some jars that convert them into jspx . But its not working. Please help

Well its like this.I need to develop a program that reads all the message bean keys.. We have lots of struts webapps. All messages in the jsp pages have been externalised and internationalised. Now i have to build a program that given a webapp path prints out all the message bean keys used in the webapp. I have developed the program using the Plexus Directory scanner to filter all the jsp pages and java util Scanner to read line by line and used String functions to search for keys.
Now thats not the best soultion. The best way, imo, is to cinvert the jsp into xml pages and then we can parse the xml pages easily. The' problem is to find a way to convert the jsp pages(jstl +javascript) into xml.
Can you help me out?

Convert XML page into Internal Table

Hi,
I'm not sure if this post belongs here or not, but here goes.
I have a requirement to read in data from a xml page and save the contents into a ABAP internal table.
At the moment, I have extracted the contents of the XML page into a string using the IF_HTTP_CLIENT->RESPONSE->GET_CDATA method.
Now I underatand that SAP has XSLT documents that can be used to transform XML documents into ABAP Data Structures.
Can someone explain to me how this works? I have looked in SAP Help about the XSLT Editor, but it still looks like double dutch to me (no offence to the dutch people out there!).

Converting HTML page into powerpoint file

Hello Java Gurus,
I have Java web application which generates reports in various formats (.rtf, .pdf, .xls and .html files) using JasperReports, but now the client needs the powerpoint (.ppt) format that is not supported by JasperReports. As the JasperReports are generating the .html format, I thought if .html page can be converted to .ppt it would be great. Please, I need guidance in this regard; Can anyone help in this direction?

Converting Pdf page into word without distortion

I am trying to copy a single page from a pdf file into a word document. How do I do this without getting a lot of distortion. The small numbers are hard to read when I do this. If I just print the page I can see the numbers clearly.

PDF = Portable Document Format
This is a special END RESULT format that is designed to be read/viewed on any computer that has Acrobat or Reader
Think of a PDF as a cake... it contains flavoring + flour + water + eggs
Once mixed/baked, you are not able to go back to the original components... you have a cake
A PDF is "somewhat" easier to go back to components... but not always by very much
Going from PDF to any editable format is a bit of a "hit and miss" proposition... and does not always work very well

Splitting multiple single 11x17 pages into double 8.5x11 page spreads

I have a large multipage 11x17 (landscape) InDesign document. I'd like to turn each landscape 11x17 page into a spread of (2) 8.5x11 portrait pages. What is the most efficient way to do this on a large document? Is there a command or a script that can automate this for me?

How many pages is "large"? The only way I know of to fix this is to create a new document with the correct setup, and they copy each spread, and Paste in Place onto each left-hand page in the new document. (making sure that the origin on both documents is Page).
Someone else may come in with a better solution, or even a script, but this is the only solution that I have.

How to make Adobe acrobat feature to convert SAP Pages to PDF available for multiple users connected to the same server

We have installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro- English,Francais,Deutsch version 10.1.9 in our test environment and tried testing it for converting SAP pages into PDF with a few pilot users. In doing so we faced a challenge, where only one user at a time can use Adobe Acrobat PRO to convert SAP pages in to PDF.As long as the first user who is connected to Adobe Acrobat Pro via SAP isn’t logged off, other users connected to the same server are not being able to get the “Save As” dialog box to save the PDF in their preferred location.
This is a business requirement and we need an urgent solution for the same. Can anyone help us in telling us if this is possible and if yes the how to go about?

Convert multiple page pdf to multiple jpg

Hi, is there anyway of converting a multiple page pdf file in preview to multiple jpgs in one go? I've tried selecting all, but it still only converts one page into a jpg, when using the "save as" function. I'm currently having to convert each page in the file individually, which is rather time-consuming. If preview can't do it, is there any other software (preferably not too expensive) that can?

Ok Here is the best way I could find to take a PDF and make each page its own jepg image.
1. Open (Automator) on the window that opens it asks for a starting point I would Select (Files & Folders) the big Finder image. For the settings on it I would select (my mac) and (Ask For Files & Folders when my workflow runs) from the drop down menus, that way you can save it and reuse it latter.
2. I would drag the (PDF to images) automation under the (Ask for Finder Items) automation. To find said (PDF to images) you can either search for it or it can be found in the PDF section on the left.
3. After which I would drag the (Change Type of Images) automation under the (PDF to images) automation, I would say Don't add to the (This action will change the image type ...... ect ect.....), and I would select (To Type (jpeg)) from the drop down menu. To find said (Change Type of Images) once again you can search in the search box or you can find it in the Photos section on the left.
4. Run Automation, the button is located in the top right. Select the PDF you want to turn into jpeg pages and there you go.

Preventing page breaks in PDF on converted web pages

I've been happy with the speed and linking that is available when I convert web pages into pdf's. However, the pdf versions often break the pages at inappropriate places or even will break an image so that part appears on one page and the rest appears on the following page. How can I can control where the pages will break in the pdf version of the web page?

Mike is correct in the breaking stakes but you can change the
destination paper size, orientation and scaling inside the 'Create PDF
from Web Site' settings ...

Using Two asp Page into Master-Page

Hi All,
I Have Master-Page and I want tow assign two Different Asp Page into the "div" tag in master Page , however
I have different "div" tag in my master-Page , and I focus Assign in one "Div" the Home-page by suing "ContentplaceHolder",
and i Assign to another "div" different asp page using "Contentplaceholder" , but when i assign the second asp page to the "div" it give me
nothing on that "div", while the "div" which i assign the Home-page it works fine.
I just think that the Master-page already know the Home-page by setting it as "Home-Page" while the other page is do nothing.
So could you please help to assign different asp page to different "div" in master Page.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to insert two asp pages to mater page in SharePoint 2010.
You can use <!– #include file=”[filename].aspx” –> to include the pages in the master page.
