Converting Microsoft Publisher document

I am having real difficulty in converting a Microsoft Publisher newsletter to .pdf file.  Can anybody give me any advice?  Every time I try, after thinking about it for a few minutes, the screen simply says "Conversion failure"

Are you using a Custom Page Size for your Publisher file? If so, see if this suggestion helps Re: Help creating custom size pdf.

    Hi raythree,
I'm sorry that your PDF conversion is working. Can you please tell me if you're getting a specific error message? Knowing that can help pinpoint the cause of the conversion failure. However, here are a couple of things that you could try:
Clear your browser cache (steps to do this vary by browser).
If you're using a work computer, check with your IT team to confirm if you have firewall/proxy settings that restrict the ability to upload files to the Internet.
Try another web browser.  A list of supported browsers for accessing the ExportPDF service is available here: http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/.
Also, note that there is a 100MB file size limit, so if your publisher file is larger than that, it won't upload to ExportPDF.
I hope this helps. But let us know if you need further assistance.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Converting a publisher document to pdf

I have been trying to convert a publisher document to pdf.  I keeping getting a message stating cannot save file.

    David K's questions are key.
Your Publisher version must be compatible with your installed Acrobat's PDFMaker.
    See:

convert a publisher document to pdf

    Hi downgor750,
If you have have Publisher 2010 (and possibly 2007), you can use the Save As command in that application to save to PDF format. If you don't, you can use either Adobe PDF Pack or Acrobat to do the job.
Have you tried to save as PDF and run into a particular problem? If so, please let us know.

  • How to convert Microsoft Publisher publication to PDF?

How to convert Microsoft Publisher 2003 publication to a PDF?

Moved to Creating, Editing & Exporting PDFs.
That depends upon the version of Acrobat you have. With any version you can always print to PDF. Some versions of Acrobat will support special conversion options for Publisher.

  • Distortion of excel charts when converting microsoft publisher file to pdf

I am using the print "Adobe PDF" function in publisher to convert a publisher file to pdf.  Some exel pie charts that were pasted into the publisher file become distorted at the edges in the pdf file.  I have tried playing with various settings and using the "print quality" settings but nothing has helped.  See the attached files for an example of the excel chart, publisher file, and results I am getting when converting to pdf.
    Thanks all.

I'm sorry I didn't make it clear.  What I'm trying to say is that the graphic looks just fine in publisher.  But when it is converted to a pdf, the graphic has distorted edges, if you look at the publisher and pdf files I attached I think you might see what I'm talking about.
Please let me know if it's still not clear.

  • How can I convert a Microsoft Publisher doc to PDF when the file size is LARGE?

I have a Microsoft Publisher document that I need converted to PDF. Typically I have no issues converting from Publisher to PDF (and usually can just do it through the "save as" feature in Publisher.) However, this particular file is laden with graphics and therefore very large. I was able to convert it once, but it made some of the graphics as blank boxes. When I try again to convert, it gives me an error message.
Is there a way to conver a LARGE Publisher file to PDF without losing any of the images contained within the document? Please help!

Try emptying the Temp folder. Are you using PDF Maker (not sure that is available for Publisher) or the MS plugin? If PDF Maker, try turning off the tags and reducing the amount of bookmarks needed to a minimum. As an alternative, simply print to the Adobe PDF printer -- will typically give a smaller file and not run into these creation problems for large document, but you will not get bookmarks or such in the conversion process.

  • Conversion failure when using PDF Pack to convert a publisher file

Up until the last few months, I used acrobat 8 to convert my church's newsletter from Publisher to PDF for posting on our church website.  When we switched to Windows 8 in January my Acrobat 8 couldn't be installed.  We just registered for the PDF pack with the yearly subscription fee and I have tried twice to convert our most recent newsletter.  Both time the conversion failed with the second time sending the message that the file was too complex or too large to convert.
What do I need to do to make Acrobat XI as least as capable as Acrobat 8 in converting publisher files?

    Hi eec hampton,
Adobe PDF Pack and Acrobat XI are two different things. PDF Pack is an online service, whereas Acrobat XI is a much more current version of the Acrobat that you had on your computer until recently.
There is a file size limit to the files that you convert with PDF Pack (100MB), but even when a file falls below that file size, the complexity of the file (how much text and graphics, and so on) can cause conversion failure. (You could be dealing with bandwidth issues, for example, as the file is uploaded to the Internet for conversion.)
One option it to convert smaller portions of the newsletter. You can also download a free 30-day trial of Acrobat XI from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html, and convert your publisher document using that.
Please let us know how it goes.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Microsoft Publisher to Photoshop?

We are new to Photoshop and need to transfer our materials. Is it possible to copy a microsoft publisher document into a new photoshop document?

  • Converting Microsoft Word to .pdf with FlashPaper2

When I try the simple task of converting Microsoft Word
documents to .pdf using FlashPaper2, the Word Document reads NOT
RESPONDING in Windows Task Manager, the taskbar reads "Word is
preparing to background print the document," the FlashPaper
horizontal working bar sticks at less than halfway - and stays
there. I suspect this might have something to do with the printer
driver problem discussed earlier on this forum. FYI: I installed
FlashPaper 2 as Part of Contribute 3 - all part of Studio 8. If
anybody can tell me what this is and how to fix it, I'd appreciate
    it!: I...confused;

BreJan is right - that was the solution I used before! I also
found another solution which I did before reading the last posting
    - I cut and pasted it. I did uninstall my HP printer but I just
unplugged it from the usb port and back it - it recognized the
printer and it works. FlashPaper 2 also works. BreJan's is the
    simplist of the 2.
    dhogue94 provided this link -
    http://www.adobe.com/go/d3551268
    - in his help for "FlashPaper completely freezes during print"
below. The link describes, I believe, how to reinstall an old
FlashPaper printer driver instead of the one provided by
installation of Contribute 3 in Studio 8. I followed the
instructions on the link, and they worked for my Word to .pdf
freeze. So once again, problem solved - and I thank you!

  • Acrobat XI does not support conversion of MS Office Publisher documents?

I recently obtained a new computer and loaded it with MS Office 2013 and Acrobat Pro XI.
I tried to convert a publisher document to a pdf, and Pro XI apparently does not support .pub files, only .doc, .xls, and .ppt.
When I had Office 2010 and Acrobat X, I could convert publisher documents.  What happened?

I just got done and went through every file and opened them to check the Document properties, then security tab, then security method and all of them say no security. Have any other ideas?

  • Convert a Microsoft Word document to a publishing wikipage

I have added a site collection of type Publishing site using the Enterprise Wiki template. now i have many word documents that contains the following contents; table of content, numbering, images, etc. Currently i want to copy a whole word document inside
the wiki page's rich content editor, but if i simply open the word document, copy its content, past the content inside the rich text i will loose the following:-
    1. images.
    2. numbering sequence.
    3. table of content will not refer to the correct section.
so my question is whether there is a way to convert a word document to a wiki page , without loosing any of the word document contents?
    Thanks

There is no easy way to convert word documents directly to a wiki page in SharePoint.  SharePoint 2013 is better at handling cut and paste from a word document to a Wiki page while maintaining formatting.  But images will need to be uploaded and
re-inserted separately and links from things like a TOC will also need to be rebuilt.  Here's a BLog post that discusses some of the problems and suggests an alternate solution.
    http://sharepoint-revolution.blogspot.com/2013/07/copy-word-documents-including-images.html
There are also third party tools that automate the process.  For example this one:
    http://www.kaboodlekonnect.com/Pages/Word-to-Wiki.aspx
    Paul Stork SharePoint Server MVP
Principal Architect: Blue Chip Consulting Group
    Blog: http://dontpapanic.com/blog
    Twitter: Follow @pstork
Please remember to mark your question as "answered" if this solves your problem.
the first option requires many steps ,, but the third party tool seems promising. but I have some questions about the tool (if you used the tool before):-
    1. i have some mandatory managed metadata fields such as wiki category, etc. so will i be able to convert a word document to a wiki page , even if i need to fill some mandatory fields?
    2. will this tool automatically build a table of content that reference the correct section within the wiki pages?
    3. can i download a trial version of this tool ?

  • A Microsoft Publisher converter

hi need a converter for publisher from PC to my mac a freind of mine cant changer her format for it to be reabable on non microsoft publisher users. HELPPP!

Do you need to just view and or print the file on your mac? If so just tell your friend to print the publisher document to a file. There should be a check box in the print dialogue to do this. It will prompt you for a file name so just type c:\yourfilename.ps
Transfer this over to your mac then you can 'probably' just double click it to open in preview as it should convert it to a pdf. if that doesnt work try opening preview then dropping the .ps file onto its icon.
This should work as i deal with postscripts all the time often have to convert nasty publisher files into something i can print from indesign on a mac. I normally use acrobat distiller to convert the postscript file but preview should do it.
It is possible to then edit the PDF file you have created but you will need the full acrobat professional, illustrator and or photoshop depending on what you want to edit.
