Converting MS word files to ebook format

I am converting my MS word files which have transparency layered graphics to pdf.
Once in pdf my ebook vendors are unable to get it up into ebook format because of issues with the transparency layers originating from the source file.
We have used a total of eight international document conversion companies to try and solve the issue and not one of them so far has been able to convert our MS word source files containing the transparencies to ebook format correctly.
What I am seeking from you is some strategies to solve the problem.
The two software programs I am using are 2007 MS word and Acrobat X Pro

Unfortunately the table lines often change when converting a word file in a PDF, e.g. dotted/broken lines into straight lines or different kinds of broken lines. How can I maintain the original lines when converting the documents?

Ok, this is the background.
I’m a publisher. Any document to end user will go as pdf. And off course it preserves the word appearance. We ship our manuals only in pdf. At this point my end users have to copy the “CODES” into his editor to run the product. So when doing it, the “Codes” copied from pdf to his editor loses its format. Editor need not be the actual one; you can also test in a notepad.
P.S: You can find the difference by copying the code from word to notepad and pdf to notepad

It would be helpful to know what version of Acrobat, WORD, and operating system.
Without that info, I would suggest at this point to open your WORD file and then go to the print menu and print to file using the Adobe PDF printer. Open the created file in Distiller and see if you get a PDF. If so, check to see if AcroTray is running in the background.
You say you tried many ways. It would help to know what you tried and what worked or did not work, and at what point the failure occurs.

There is a 100 MB file-size limit for uploading to the Adobe PDF Pack online service. Since no such limitation exists for Acrobat, you could use that to convert the file to PDF. I've checked your account, and all is well there. Please make sure that you're logging in with the same Adobe ID/password that you used when you signed up.
Then, clear the browser cache, and try logging in directly to https://cloud.acrobat.com.

In my BPEL application I have to use cXML dtd files by converting them into xsd format.
I have used 'Microsoft Visual Studio' for converting cXML.dtd file into xsd format, for this 1 dtd file I am getting three xsd files (cXML.xsd, cXML1.xsd and cXML2.xsd).
Please check this once and let me know
1. why I am getting three xsd files for one dtd file,
2. how can I use cXML.xsd file in my application, do I ll have to use all the three files in my BPEL app and
3. what should I include in main xsd file (cXML.xsd) to import other two xsd files.

While downloading the cXML dtd there will be example xml files. Using this xml's we can generate xsd.

I'm sorry that you're having trouble converting your Word file to PDF. Does it happen with just one particular Word file, or are you running into the same issue with any Word file?
For starters, please try the following:
Clear your browser cache (steps to do this vary by browser)
If you're using a work computer, check with your IT team to confirm if you have firewall/proxy settings that restrict the ability to upload files to the internet.
Lastly, if the issue persists after the steps above, please try another web browser. A list of supported browsers for accessing the ExportPDF service is available here: http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/

Your Quicken files should already be in the correct format. Can't remember details because I converted some time ago and no longer have my old files.
Can't understand your comment about being left "high and dry." It's been common knowledge for six months that Lion won't support PPC applications and it's been common knowledge for several years that Intuit is abandoning the Mac.
I will warn you that, even if you are able to convert now, the conversion does produce errors.

When you convert a PDF file to Word, the PDF file remains on your system. So, files should not be automatically converted to a different format because you've signed on to ExportPDF. What may be happening is that the filename association has changed on your system, and your operating system has associated different file types with the .doc or .docx filename extension. Are you on Mac OS or Windows?
