Converting PDF formats to MS word 2010?

hi,I've got a problem. I'm really sorry if someone have already discussed that problem before.
I am trying to convert 1000's of pdf files to word 2010 that has not been labeled correctly so using the built in feature that acrobat has does not allow the tables and colums to convert without going all over the place. Is there anyway to do this?
Hope to get answers as soon as possible.

You'll want to ask this question in the Acrobat Windows forum.

Not stupid you! To, from PDF--it gets confusing!
To edit a PDF file, you need to use Acrobat. Depending on how much work needs to be done to the PDF, it may make sure sense to edit in Word, and then reconvert to PDF. Acrobat doesn't function as a word processor, so while limited changes to the text should be fine, extensive updates may not yield the results you're looking for.
That said, if you don't have Acrobat, you are welcome to try it for free for 30 days. For more information, see www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

  • How to open my file in Gmail after download free trial for converting PDF file to Microsoft Words.

after download the Free Trial for Converting PDF file to Microsoft Words, I can't open my file in gmail

One solution would be to generate the report via an servlet which you then call with an af:golink with an target frame set to blank.

  • Adobe PDF tab Disappeared in Word 2010

Hi---I had the Adobe PDF tab in my Word 2010 for years---it's now disappeared!
I re-added/enabled it in the Add-Ons (File-Options-Add-Ins) and it shows it as Enabled, but still won't re-display in my menu bar.
I really need this to create bookmarked PDFs, and going into "Options" just allows me to click something like "Bookmarks by Headings," but won't allow me to choose the headings (some clients change their heading names, e.g., Heading 1 may be H1 in another doc), and I need to be able to open that window that I used to use when the Adobe PDF tab appeared, so I can check/un-check the heading names---help! Thanks!

    Could you try the following:
Launch Acrobat, ensure you're fully updated (Help > Check for Updates) to version 9.5.1
Close all applications and restart the computer.
Repair Microsoft Office from Control Panel > Programs
Launch Acrobat and repair via Help > Repair Acrobat Installation
    Restart the computer.
    Launch Word.
I'm wondering if a recent update to Office may have caused the problem.
Let us know how it goes.

  • Any way to help me convert PDF format to word(.doc) on Mac

Hi,guys. Is there any one tell me how to convert PDF to word on Mac?
I am a middle school teacher.Recently I have a download some PDF file need to transfer to word as material for my working. As I use Mac OS has been doubly difficult for me,beacuse I am not familiar with mac system.
So any idea helpfully would be appreciated.

There is a very simple method and doesn't require new software.
    Open a new Word document
Open the PDF in Preview (i.e., double click or right click and open with ... Preview)
Using the TEXT tool (button labeled "A') highlight the text you want to copy, then copy (i.e. Edit ... Copy, or right click .... Copy, or Command+C)
Paste the text into a Word document, and it will be editable.
If you want to copy the entire contents, you can use Command+A to select all contents, then copy and paste to Word document.
Preview actually works much better than Acrobat Professional in this respect because you don't carry over junk code from PDF.

  • Converting pdf file to a word document

I'm trying to convert a pdf file to a word doc during the trial period but I'm having trouble. Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

Windows does not really tell us the OS. There are many variations, including 32 and 64-bit systems.
Anyway, assuming you are using Acrobat XI, you to to File>Save As and select to export to WORD. You should find 2 choices, retain format and retain flow or somthing like that. You should probably try both.

  • Converting PDF files to Microsoft Word

I downloaded a PDF file to Microsoft word, but I can't edit it.  Why?

That suggests that the PDF was not created with PDF Maker that retains the format information. As a result, there is not much you can do with Acrobat if it is not converting properly. You can try to save as HTML or RTF and import those into WORD. Sometimes those conversions will do better, but not real sure.
You can also use a copy and paste from the PDF with the alt key held down to force the column mode of copy. Unfortunately, with Acrobat there is not much more you can do. There are some 3rd party products that focus on the conversion to WORD and I understand do a much better job for the type of untagged document you likely have. Check with PDF Zone or Planet PDF for the 3rd party solutions. Be aware, they are not cheap either.

  • I have subscribed to convert PDF to Excel and Word, I have followed your instructions and I get an error message all the time.

I have subscribed to convert PDF file to an Excel or Word . I have followed your instructions to do so but I always get an error message. I have chated with one representative who suggested that I wait 24h before I try it again implying that my subscription is in process. the time span has elapsed and when i try it, I still get the error message. HELP ME or REFUND me the money

"an error message" really doesn't tell us much.

  • Missing data in Acrobat Pro XI PDF created from Microsoft Word (2010) doc

When I create an "Adobe PDF" from a Microsoft 2010 Word doc that contains mainly images and text boxes, about 50% of the text boxes do not appear in the PDF.  Also, some of the images (layered on top of each other) appear in a different order - the one on the bottom moves to the top.
How can I address this problem so that the PDF accurately reflects the Word document?
(I am using Acrobat Pro XI and Microsoft Office 2010)

Finally figured it out -- if I view the form directly in Adobe Reader (over our network), I see the confusing message about "Click 'Sign' to fill out..."
BUT, if I open the form within a web browser (IE, Firefox, etc.), I see the usual message: "Please fill out the following form. You cannot save data typed into this form. Please print..."
It is doing what I expected; I just wasn't viewing it in the usual manner.  Users will be seeing this form via a web browser, so problem solved.

    Hi Dave,
Maurice's thread was locked because he is using Office 2010 Beta, and his post is in the forum for Office Beta, since the Beta is past due, the whole forum is locked.
Let's go back to your question.
Have you installed the Office 2010 Service Pack 1? The service pack fixes many issues, you should try if you haven't.
    Download
the Microsoft Office 2010 Service Pack 1 64-bit package now.
I may to metion is that all I know the Office 2010 64-bit will work smoothly with Windows 7 64-bit, cause I'm using it for my daily work.
So, the problem you met with mostly caused by the 3rd-party add-ins/services.
Have you tried to open the document by holding the Ctrl key? This will open the document in safe mode, if you are able to do so, this will help us to narrow down the root cause.
If it will crash even when you start it in safe mode, let's try to run a clean boot to check this issue. In a clean boot, lots of service will be disabled, if we wouldn't get problem in a clean boot, then we can enable the service little by little, then
we can find out which service might cause this issue.
For a detail instruction, you can refer to this kb:

Let me know the result, any questions, feel free to let me know.

  • I've just subscribed to Acrobat PDF Export in order to convert pdf files back to Word.  Where is the icon for my desktop.  I don't seem to have the program to do so?

Where on my PC do I access the PDF Export to convert pdf to Word?

    A very good morning John,
As far as I have understood, there is no problem with ExportPDF. You might need to check whether the fonts in your PDF are embedded or not.
For this, open the PDF in Reader/Acrobat and go into File>Properties and click on Fonts tab to check for the same.
If the fonts used in the PDF are not present in the system, then MS Word may not be able to retain the layout of the file.
    Please check.
    Regards,
    Anubha
