Converting pictures to screensavers

Thank you for replying. I have a folder with pictures in it. However when I got to properties-screen saver, it has a category that says my "pictures slideshow". When I click on that, it's just a message floating on the screen saying, "There were no pictures to be found in C:\Documents and settings\Compaq_owner\My documents\My albums. (I previously had Compaq photo program and deleted it because I didn't like but this particular setting still says on my screensaver program). I would like to delete that choice from my screensaver menu but don't know how. I actually do not have a folder named \My albums anymore.
However maybe I can circumvent all that anyway, except I do not know what you mean by "point your screensaver" at the file. And for some reason since I just bought this Compaq, I no longer seem to have a "windows help" screen. If I click on help, it goes directly to the HP website.
Sorry this is so long. But if you can tell me where to find the "point your screensaver", I will be happy to try that.
Thank you,
Angela

You could use an app like Photoshop touch. Save the photos to your camera roll, open the photo in Photoshop Touch > click the 'save button' the arrow/rectangle icon > select your project/photos > choose .jpeg format > save.

  • Converter pictures and videos files to jpg and mpeg

    Do you know a safety software o freeware to convert pictures and videos files to jpg and mpeg? to use in my desktop with windows?

    A backup stores the data in the location shown in the following link: Create and delete iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch backups in iTunes
    Note, however that backup files are stored in a format that is meant for use only in restoring to an iOS device. They are not a way for you to view the photos on the computer.
    If you want to save the photos to the computer and be able to view them there, the following has instructions: Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC
    You can also use PhotoStream My Photo Stream FAQ or 3rd party apps such as http://www.photosync-app.com

  • Converting pictures into PDF files

    How do I convert pictures into PDF files, is this possible?

    If you want to use acrobat reader, you have to pay for it.
    So, I use other free or cheap apps to do so =>
    * powerpdf
    * dragonprinter (draakprinter in dutch)
    * writepdf
    * scanapp (to convert parts of a picture)
    I even think that almost every scan-app can convert pictures into pdf's.

  • Hi After being created a new session by our IT department on network Adobe Bridge seem to have lost its link to photoshop in the tool menu. We can't keep on with our usual process to convert picture in Grey ... Could you help us on this ? thanks in advanc

    Hi All,
    I've just been hired in a new editing company where we are producing pictures in black and white to illustrate our book.
    The previous person that was occupying this position could manage the pictures workflow through bridge using a script that was in the Tools menu and use to select several picture and send them to photoshop to apply and converting script (black and white convesion).
    The problem I encounter on my session is that I can't send picture to this photoshop script using Bridge ... Can someone help me on this ?

    If you used Sync to do that "import", disable Sync for at least one of those Profiles.
    </blockquote>
    Thank you for your suggestion. I have Sync enabled for all the profiles. To my surprise, however, Sync was of no use in getting Default's extension collection into Shopping. For that I had to resort to the article http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox.
    I will try disabling Sync on Shopping.

  • Convert picture imported to Word document with VBA

    I've Word documents that contain acronyms and a macro that searches the document for them so that they can be identified for an acronym table. So far, I can search a document's text and tables but not the pictures with the macro. I've found that if
    I manually select the picture, right click and select group->ungroup, I get a MsgBox with the message "This is an imported picture, not a group. Do you want to convert it to a Microsoft Office drawing object?" Selecting the yes button converts
    it into many Shapes objects that are then searchable.
    I've determined that the picture (object) type prior to conversion is msoPicture and that it gets converted to an msoCanvas object with many Shape objects on it.
    I've built a macro that can loop through various Canvas objects and then the Shape objects to find the acronyms. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a way to convert the image/object from msoPicture to msoCanvas in VBA. Does anyone know how to do
    this? Thanks.

    Hi,
    As far as I know, we can’t convert a picture to canvas through VBA.
    For that process through the UI, I think it add the canvas first, then add the picture to that canvas.
    For your requirement, you could add the canvas first, then add the picture to tat canvas.
    Sub NewCanvasPicture()
    Dim shpCanvas As Shape
    'Add a drawing canvas to the active document
    Set shpCanvas = ActiveDocument.Shapes _
    .AddCanvas(Left:=100, Top:=75, _
    Width:=200, Height:=300)
    'Add a graphic to the drawing canvas
    shpCanvas.CanvasItems.AddPicture _
    FileName:="C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\" & _
    "Office\Bitmaps\Styles\stone.bmp", _
    LinkToFile:=False, SaveWithDocument:=True
    End Sub

  • Multimedia Factory converted picture to not viewab...

    While I was constructing an MMS message to be sent out with my N95, 2 things happened:
    - firstly, I took a picture with N95 and while I was editing the MMS message in PC, I could not attach the picture from my N95 phone memory image folder to the message (so I moved first the picture to PC desktop and then attached it to the message)
    - secondly, when the picture was attached, it became all "blurr", so I guess it got converted to much more smaller size (to fit to the MMS message), but the end result was that the receiver could not figure out at all what was in the picture.
    This has not happened before, I have been sending MMS messages from PC many many times.
    I have the latest PC Suit 6.85.14.1 and the latest MMF for N95 from Nokia web pages (cannot figure out the version though because MMF about box states PC Suite version, weird...
    Any thoughts ?

    The two main possibilities I can think of are either a problem with the initial controller discovery, or a certificate problem.
    If it's controller discovery: Watching it boot up is the easiest way to figure out exactly where the problem is. What messages show up on the console during the boot/join process? If it's successfully resolving the DNS request, you'll see messages to that effect as it boots.
    If the AP is successfully finding a controller but its join requests are being rejected, it may be a certificate issue. Older APs do not have a certificate preinstalled. If you used the conversion tool or WCS to convert it, a certificate would be generated as part of that process, but if you just download the LWAPP image right to the AP, it would not.
    Also, even if it did get a generated certificate during the upgrade, you have to tell the controllers to permit APs with self-signed certificates (SSC) to join; by default, only the preinstalled certificates (MIC) are allowed.

  • How do i convert pictures that i have taking with ...

    im having trouble converting my picz.
    i do not have a camera so my phone is the only thing i got, to take pictures.
    the problem is i wanna be able to load picz on to my face book and myspace page but i cant because in the nokia pc suite there arent any options to change the format of the picz, so i cant picture manager....
    the ques. is how do i convert my picz to be able to view them in a different program

    Why should you need to convert them? They are already in JPEG format.
    Anyway, if you wish to convert the files on a PC, use, e.g., IrfanView: http://www.irfanview.com/

  • Convert picture from word document to .jpg

    I'd like to know how to copy a picture from a word document and convert it to a .jpg format so I can use iphoto or other image software to edit and print it.  I tried a work-around that's not very satisfactory, that is to print the picture on photo paper, then scan it and save it as a .jpg, but as you would expect, I lose quality.

    Why don't you just use a Word converter to render and convert  Word document and the images cotained in Word file into jpeg image directly? Saving the Word file cotaining pictures as pdf and save as jpeg is more complicate converting the word file into jpeg image directly.

  • Converting picture books

    Would I be able to easily convert existing self published picture books using iBooks to make app versions? I have a client that I illustrate and design for and have been trying to find a way to convert her books into apps to offer them electronically. This sounds like it might be a perfect solution... IF I can easily import full page artwork. I saw someone post about there not being a 'blank' template so thougt that might be an issue.

    Hi wzoe,
    You could convert directly to EPUB format from InDesign.
    A quick overview of this process: http://robcubbon.com/create-epub-ebook-indesign/
    A complete online course: http://www.lynda.com/InDesign-CS5-tutorials/to-EPUB-Kindle-and-iPad/75445-2.html
    Remember that the iBooks that IBA produces will only "play" on an iPad.  If your goal is multi-platform then EPUB or PDF is probably the preferred format.
    PDF is inherrently fixed layout, but there's a new fixed layout option in EPUB that you should use given these are illustrated books where a fixed page layout is probably important.
    Cheers,
    Geoff

  • Converting Picture to *.bmp file

    Hi,
    With the excellent pictures/ graphs that LabVIEW is able to produce, I
    haven't been able to convert a picture (blue squiggly line datatype!) to a
    pixmap or flattened pixmap for the purpose of saving as a JPEG/BMP file.
    Can this be done? If so please let me know.

    I've come across the same problem you have, and the only (altough not very nice solution) is to write a subvi with the picture as input (and only the picture visable on the front panel!), set the picture draw area to show the entire picture and next use the invoke node "Get panel image" with only visable area set to "False". This creates a flattened pixmap wich you can use as input for the write to *.jpg, *.png or *.bmp vi's.
    There is however one catch. The front panel has to be activated (shown) for a brief period of time, since otherwise the picture won't redraw the data. The size of the front panel is however not important, so I briefly open the front panel in a very tiny format somewhere at the bottom of the screen, so the user never notices that the screen was brie
    fly active.
    I know this method is not very nice, but since there seems to be no other way to convert the picture to flattened data it is (for now) the only solution I can think of.
    I hope I've helped you with this information,
    Marcel Kalf.

  • I want to convert pictures to 1 bit image

    dir sir;
    i want to make a programe by it i want to upload image real image and then it converted it for 1 bit image ;
    can i use java to do that?
    and if soo what method and package and function helps me to do that .
    if you can provide me with simple code i will be thankfull.
    beast regards.

    Hi,
    if you have vision, you could use the functin IMAQ Image to Array to have a 2D array of the pixel values.
    You can then compare pixel by pixel; if your images come from a camera, I would recommend to set a treshold of acceptance.
    This is a time consuming solution anyway.
    Alternative methods:
    1) Make a subtraction of the two images, the resulting image will be the difference of them
    2 ) Use IMAQ LogDiff function (operators palette)
    3) Calculate the histogram of both image and compare the histogram reports
    Good luck,
    Alberto

  • Can't convert pictures

    I need help converting .bit's and .gif's and even .jpeg's to
    the .fla format. I have tried over and over but it never works for
    me. I need help please!

    not sure what you mean - you cant convert bitmaps to fla -
    FLA is the native source format for Flash
    - you can import bitmaps into flash and then publish/export
    to SWF. But a bitmap is a bitmap and a
    fla is a fla. You can't make an apple into an orange but you
    can make fruit salad (not sure that
    made any sense).
