Converting Queires created in BI 7.0 to BIW 3.x

Hi,
I have a problem wherein i have created the Queries in BI 7.0 and now, after some decisions it is being decided that the Queries has to be created in 3.x version instead of BI 7.0.
Since there would be wastage of lots of efforts, i would like to know if there is a way convert my Queires created in 7.0 to 3.x.
Quick response would be appreciable.

The latest Premier Pro CC 2014 update forced me to convert and create version of my project while guaranteeing that the project would not be altered; however, the timelines/sequences are not the up to date versions I had. I saved different version of this project for various purposes, but they were all named differently(i.e joe and mary wedding, joe and mary wedding 2, joe and mary wedding 3, joe and mary wedding 3.1). I do not know if they just pulled the timelines from the earliest version, eradicated the data entirely, or something else.
Since the program prompts me to create and save a new version for the updated premier, I still have the previous projects, but cannot open them. I imagine they are unchanged, but cannot be sure.
Thoughts? Is it possible to uninstall an update re-install it later?
Please advise.

Add to right click menu of timelines an entry for "go to next keyframe" and "go to last keyframe" a la After Effects, we should also be able to assign a kb shortcut to this.
There are buttons on either side of the create keyframe button to advance forward or backward in the effects control panel or timeline.
You can also advance forward or backward in the effects control window by holding shift while dragging the playhead.
Allow copy/paste of selection of audio/video effects, not just one at a time. Sure we can copy/paste attributes but since we can also copy/paste effects it would only make sense to allow to copy/paste a selection of effects.
I guess I don't get this one. If I have 5 effects on a clip, I can simply command-click on the ones I want to copy over to the other clip.

Hyperlinks not converting when creating a pdf from Word 2010 to Adobe Acrobat 11.0.6

First off, let me say that these are not table of contents hyperlinks. I have created a document in Word 2010 (not a MAC) with hyperlinks to files residing on our company's intranet. In Word the hyperlinks work great but when I create the pdf, the links do not work. I have converted using both PDFMaker from Word and Create a pdf from within Acrobat. Yes, I have all the boxes checked regarding saving links. The links appear to work partially. Meaning that when I hover the cursor over the link, the pointy finger appears but when I click I get a pop-up message telling me the file could not be opened. Also, when I hover over the hyperlink, the address appears. So, I think it knows there's a link and it tries to open but can't. When I create the file within Adobe the link works - once. When I click on the link I get a pop-up window asking me if I want to save my file before closing. After my response the file closes and the linked file opens. However, when I go back into the file and try the hyperlink again, I get the pop-up telling me the file cannot be opened. HELP! I am at my wits end. After spending hours yesterday trying to research (I think I read every thread related to hyperlinks but I am not using a Mac, table of contents or Adobe 7 around which it seems all the prior questions revolve) and futily creating and recreating the pdf (as if doing the same thing repeatedly would somehow magically work) I am about to give up. This is a document that will be published to our intranet for use by employees which cross-references other documents to which they can refer for additional information. I would prefer to publish a pdf and not a Word document. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for your input Bill. I've checked the preferences and "view large images" is turned on. It's not all of the images which are missing, only certain ones do not transfer over to PDF.

Trouble converting files created with 9.2 using 5.0 version.

I have multiple pcs using 5.0.1 version of acrobat without any problem. Recently bought new pc with 9.2 installed. Problem is when I create with new version, older versions can't open. Error message says file corrupted. I tried downloading all upgrades for older version. Is there a solution without upgrading all other pc's with newer version?

I'm using Acrobat distiller from my 9.2 version normally converting a word document into PDF. I haven't really changed any settings from original installation, but I'm afraid I must have some settings that are preventing those with the 5.0 version from opening.

Convert shape created from masks into it's own shape or mask?

Hi everyone.
I've created a shape layer (an ellipse) and used a couple different masks to create a more unique shape. Now, I'd like to extrude that shape into 3D, but as you may know, the ray-tracer doesn't support masks.
So I'm wondering, how would you convert this new shape into an actual shape that uses no masks? I'd like it to be it's own shape or at least have a path that resembles he new shape I created from the shape layer and those masks.
Any idea how to do this? Thanks.

Now I know these are made from solids, but the original is an ellipse mask with some other masks drawn over it.
I was able to make these same half rings with a shape layer and some masks. I'd ultimately like to make that shape a shape layer of its own with no masks so that I can extrude it in 3D.
I wish there was some sort of magic wand tool that would let me select the shape, save the selection as a path, then use that... man I really have to go into a whole nother program to do this? Geeze.

During Convert, it created new names, new folders!

I just converted a large number of files and iTunes reorganzed them all.
In my prefs I had nothing checked off. Advanced.General: unchecked keep folder organized, etc. Importing: unchecked create file names, etc. But it seems to have done these things anyway.
After letting it run all night, when I got up this morning to see progress I found it had stalled on one file and then when I clicked cancel, it just ended, and I don’t know if it completed converting all my files. (I want to trash the older ones).
What it did: The reason I can’t tell what exactly it did is that it changed the titles and reorganized the folders, creating new folders where I had none. I know it “did the right thing” as far as correctly identifying what it could and correctly finding out what album a song came from - but that’s not how I had them organized.
Exactly what it did: Case in point: I had a folder named “African Rhythm.” In it I had a song file named “03 Amaliza.” iTunes created a new folder named “TWA” (which is the name of the actual band but I had it in a compilation folder) and in it created another new folder named “African Rhythms,” and in that retitled my song file as “Amaliza.” (Correct name but it dropped the “03” before it.)
How can I get iT to leave my file and folder names as they were before converting?

Converting Frames Created Using Frontpage?

I recently moved several pages (copied from one root folder
to another) from a now defunct site to the new site I am building.
These pages were created using frames via Frontpage. Is there a way
within Dreamweaver to 'convert' these pages to something not
frame-based?

Not without doing it manually. You'd be looking at less
hassle and work
just to build the page, and copy content from the desired
frame page.

Converting files created using JVC GYHM 100U to file for iMovie/FC Express

I have a JVC GYHM 100U which creates files only for Final Cut Pro. Is there a way to convert the files to be used in FC Express or iMovie?

There is no "default codec" in FCP. FCP works with many formats/codecs natively.

Converting Aperture created .MOV files to play on DVD

When exporting digital video clips from Aperture, they're exported in .MOV format which, if burned to a DVD, will not play. Is there a way to export video files from Aperture so that they will play on a DVD player, or is there a way to convert those .MOV files to a format that can play on a DVD?
I'm using a 21.5" iMac running OS10.6.8 and Aperture 3.2.4.

How do you burn your DVD? The Finder's "Burn" will create a data DVD, not a video DVD. You need a burn program like iDVD or Burn to burn your video onto a video DVD.

Converting documents creating on Appleworks 6.0.4 to 6.2.9

I have been trying to find my answer from questions already asked and answered but am confused. I have copied from my wife's PowerMac G3 (OS 9.1) Appleworks documents created on 6.0.4 onto a Zip disk, then tried to open them on my iMac G4 (OS 10.2.8) with Appleworks 6.2.9 and they will not open or convert. I bought her a new iMac G5 with OS 10 so how will her files convert to the new one if they will not on my G4?

I was reading thru the problems with Appleworks &
noted many people like us seem to have a common
problem with losing files etc. when upgrading to
Tiger OSX 10.4.
People aren't losing AppleWorks files when upgrading to 10.4.
Two things are happening:
1) They erase their Mac and install 10.4. It's then that they realise that AppleWorks isn't on their Mac. That's because AppleWorks isn't part of 10.4, but was bundled with the particular Mac they purchased along with iLife and other software.
2) They try and transfer AppleWorks files using PC formatted storage like a Zip drive, USB drive, etc (as in Plumber's case). The problem here (if I recall correctly) is that the resource fork of the AppleWorks file gets stripped when copied onto PC formatted media.
I wonder if there is a bigger problem
that Apple needs to address.
It's not a bigger problem. And I don't expect Apple to address any AppleWorks issue now that it's being replaced by iWork and hasn't even had an update in years.

Just a word of caution. I talked to Apple Support
today about our ongoing problems with AppleWorks
6.0.4 not running properly in Classic 9.2 and in
10.4.4 and apparent non compatibility transferring
files between systems, spell check. Macpaint, etc.
AppleWorks 6.0.4 was quite buggy. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't work well in Classic. Updating should fix most of these problems unless there are other problems with your Mac.
AppleWorks 6.0.4 just won't work in any version of Mac OS X after 10.1. You'll have all sorts of problems. Upgrading to version 6.2.1 or newer is the only fix.

Hi! Trying to convert from Create PDF to Adobe Acrobat.

A couple of hours ago I purchased Adobe Reader's Create PDF instead of Acrobat, which was what I was really needed. After trying to see if Create PDF would work for my needs, I still need Acrobat. How can I fix this? Hving trouble getting ahold of anyone on phone support...

Adobe PDF Converter stops creating PDFs after several successful prints.

We have an application that create reports that we want to print to PDF and save on our server. We have been doing this for years. Have 50 employees doing this. One computer is having an issue were they will print to the "PDF Printer" and the pdf output file is save to their desktop, but after multiple successful prints, the print will get hung up in the PDF Printer Queue.
This is on a Win7 Machine, with current windows updates, using Acrobat X Standard version 10.1.10 so I think I am up to date.
Does anyone have suggestions about what to look at or where the problem may be coming from.
To fix the problem the user can shut down (restart) the computer and printing to pdf works again.

I don't get any messages in the queue or any place that I know of. I looked in the system log and application log for hints and nothing occurs at the time of the error . Do you have suggestions of where to look for errors that I may have missed?
The print just stay their. We usually set the output to also display when completed but Acrobat never displays the report. So somewhere the program hangs or fails.

How do I convert a .mov created in iMovie to an .mpeg?

I am trying to post a slide show/movie I created on a website's Media Gallery. They need the file to be .mpg or .mpeg. or .wmv. (The web master said the coding isn't as important than the file type when I asked if mpeg 2, or mpeg 4 was ok. I don't understand the difference between coding & file type) I exported it to my desktop from imovie and it's a .mov. I've tried ffmpegX converter to create a .wmv but only the first 30 seconds gets converted. I have QT pro, but that's about it.

I wanted to come back and update this thread in regards to CreateJS and 'root' It seems that as well as using this.parent.play(); exportRoot.play(); also works.
I am however struggling to check variables on the main time line from inside a movieClip.

I have tried this.parent.animVar = 1 exportRoot.animVar = 1 but neither can check the variable on the main timeline from inside a movieClip. Any help would be appreciated.
