Converting RAW-file to jpg in Photoshop Elements 13?

In Photoshop Elements 13, I can't convert my RAW-file to jpg? The only format to choose from is dng? Why is so. Why I cannot find jpg file format anywhere?

Open the camera raw file (press the Open button in the camera raw dialog) into the editor and then Go to File>Save As>Jpeg

Am I able to convert RAW files to jpegs on Photoshop Elements?

    Hi,
Sorry, but with the information you have given, the only answer I can give is "possibly".
Each camera model produces a slightly different raw format - even different models by the same manufacturer and even if they have the same extension (file type). The latest cameras will not be supported by older versions of Photoshop Elements although there is a converter which can help.
To give you a better answer, we need to know
    1) The camera make and model
    2) The version of Photoshop Elements that you are using
    3) The operating system that you are running on.

Windows download click here DNG Converter 7.2
Mac download click here DNG Converter 7.2
You can convert a whole folder of ARW images in one click. See this quick video tutorial:

  • How convert raw files to jpgs in batches quickly

I have hundreds of photos I need to use in Indesign. I can't place RAW files and all the jogs my photographer gave me are way too small. I need to process out loads of big high res files so I can use them. Is there a way to convert them all to jpgs at once? I've tried batching and I'm not doing it right since its' not working.

See if File>Scripts>Image Processor does what you want.

  • Converting Raw files to jpgs

When I open Bridge and open a folder of RAW files and then go to Tools- Photoshop-Image Processor, I get a message saying Image Processor.jsx could not be found. What am I doing wrong?

Are Bridge and Photoshop of the same suite (CS4 or CS3 or …), are both of them installed on the system-drive and is »Image Processor.jsx« in its proper place (Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS4/Presets/Scripts)?

  • Is the Sony ARW raw files supported in Adobe Photoshop Elements 10?

I downloaded and installed CameraRaw_8_8 and installed it, restarted my Adobe Elements 10, but nothing seemed to change.  My Adobe Elements 10 still does not allow me to select a ARW raw file photo.  Am I missing something?

  • Why does Camera Raw 6.7.1 w/ Photoshop CS5 not convert raw files from a Nikon D610 camera?

I just upgraded  my Nikon D90 camera to a D610.  I've been using Adobe Bridge to manage my photos made with the D90, and Camera Raw 6.3 to convert the raw files for use in Photoshop CS5.  The new D610 writes different raw files, so I upgraded Camera Raw to the latest version (6.7.1) which is said to be compatable with the latest Nikon cameras.
The D90 files still convert fine with Camera Raw 6.7.1, but the raw files from the D610 cannot be read.  Does anyone have any insight into why not?
    Thanks,
    JoelP

There will not be another update for Camera Raw 6.x which is the version that is compatible with Photoshop CS5. So you will not have a way to natively open your NEF files from the Nikon D610.  But you can download the DNG converter (version 8.3 RC) from Adobe Labs and use it to create digital negative copies of your NEF files. And then you can use those with the Camera Raw that you already have. Other alternatives would be to upgrade to Photoshop CC, or Photoshop Elements 12, or add Lightroom to your workflow. If you choose Lightroom you would have to use the 5.3 release candidate at this point to have support for your camera. It will, of course, be supported in the final version of Lightroom 5.3 as well as all subsequent versions of Lightroom.

I just purchased the new Canon SX60 camera. Despite downloading and installing the latest version of Adobe DNG converter, I receive an error message saying that Photoshop CS4 can't open up/convert raw files (.CR2). This is the same file format as used by the SX50, with which I never had any problem. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras  I do not see that SX60 as supported. Just how new is the SX60 when was it announces. Its support is not even listed in ACR 8.7 RC

  • Photoshop cc is turning my raw files into jpg after editing

photoshop is turning my raw files into jpg after editing with out flatten the layers instead of psd files. when I go to save they are jpg. This started 2 days ago - no problems before that

How are you doing the save?  Just choosing File - Save?
Photoshop remembers the last "master file" format you saved something in.  If the current document is capable of being saved in that format, it will default to that format for the next save.
What happens if you do the following:
    1.  Open your raw file, and edit it.
    2.  File - Save As, and in the Save as type field choose Photoshop (*.PSD;*.PDD).
    3.  Complete the save operation.
I'm betting that will result in your having saved a PSD format file.
In summary, change your habit to use File - Save As to save your master document and you can't go wrong.

  • Cannot open nikon raw files from my 3200 in elements 8

i cannot open nikon raw files from my 3200 in elements 8

You would need PSE11 since the 3200 requires ACR version 7.1
Only PSE11 can have 7.1, so to be able to use your raw files with PSE9 you should download the free Adobe DNGconverter which can batch convert a whole folder of raw files into the Adobe raw DNG format which your PSE8 can open.

  • Updated Camera list for converting Raw files in PSE7

I am looking to instal an updated CameraRaw.8bi file to accomodate recent cameras.
Camera updated needed for Canon powershot G15.
    Regards Daz.

Photoshop Elements 7 supports Adobe Camera Raw from version 4.5 to 5.6 only.
Please refer following document for you reference:
    Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html
Canon Powershot G15 starts supported from Adobe Camera Raw version 7.3.
Hereby, raw files from particular camera is not supported in Photoshop Elements 7.0.
However, you can use DNG converter to convert Raw files into DNG and import in CS4 aaplication.
The Digital Negative (DNG) format is Adobe’s proposed standard format for camera raw files. DNG files are useful for archiving camera raw images because they contain the raw camera sensor data and data specifying how the image should look. Camera raw image settings can be stored in DNG files instead of in sidecar XMP files or the camera raw database.
You can download the latest DNG convert from following place:

    Mac:

  • Need a plugin to convert Raw files with CS 6 standalone version. 8.7.1 version of ACR is not compatible with CS 6 in non-cloud form.

We have a site license for CS6 for our company and for the past year have not been able to convert RAW files from our newer cameras using Adobe Camera Raw. We do not want to use the Cloud version as we work off laptops in the field and overseas and even our offices have only dial-up for internet access where we are located in Monterey.
Can anyone recommend a plugin raw converter so we can continue to batch process our files with CS 6?

The camera raw 8.7.1 plugin should work fine in the photoshop cs6 non cloud license version.
The only exceptions being if you have mac os x 10.6.8 or windows xp/vista, then 8.3 is the newest camera raw plugin that works.
Which operating system(s) do you have?
Have you tried Help>Updates from within photoshop cs6 to get the 8.7.1 camera raw plugin.
Here's an 8.7.1 camera raw plugin installer for photoshop cs6

  • Recently upgraded to a Canon Mark 3 and now having issues with my RAW files in Bridge and Photoshop. I am operating with CS4. Photoshop produces an error " Could not complete your request because photoshop does not recognize this type of file"

Recently upgraded to a Canon Mark 3 and now having issues with my RAW files in Bridge and Photoshop. I have operating with CS4. Photoshop produces and error " Could not complete your request because photoshop does not recognize this type of file"

Assuming you mean 5D Mark III, Photoshop CS4 cannot directly open raw files from your camera.
Generally speaking, Adobe stopped updating older versions to be able to read raw files from newer cameras when they released a new major version of Photoshop. Photoshop CS4 is no longer receiving Camera Raw updates.
You can double check this yourself:
First you need to determine whether Adobe has released support for your new camera in your version of Photoshop. To do that, look at these two pages. You'll want to find out the earliest version of Camera Raw that can support your camera, then what version of Photoshop can run that version of Camera Raw.
Camera Raw plug-in | Supported cameras
    Camera Raw-compatible Adobe applications
If you find your camera is supported by your version of Photoshop, you need to download the latest update for Camera Raw. There's more information on how to do that here:
    Keeping Photoshop Up-To-Date
If your version of Photoshop cannot support your camera, you can download and install the latest version of the free Adobe DNG Converter, which can take your raw files as input and put out DNG format files, which your version of Photoshop can open.
Photoshop Help | Digital Negative (DNG)
The DNG converter DOES work, but if you want maximal quality from your raw files (not to mention the convenience and ease of use of directly opening your raw files) you'll want the latest version of Photoshop. Adobe has made substantial improvements in raw conversion quality in recent years.

  • Converting raw files into tiffs and preserving the orig. date created

How do I get the original date created to show up in folders when converting raw files into tiffs?  Once converted the original date created is in the "file info" window but does not show up as the original date created in the designated folder.  It is displayed as the same date as date modified.

    Thanks Mylenium
As Mylenium has said, this information can be added later by various means. It will also depend on the software you are using on what date it is reading!
    As an example there are:
    The files date created
    Photoshop schema DateCreated
    EXIF schema DateTimeOriginal
    XMP schema CreateDate
For an external tool you can use ExifTool http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/
or you could try to get a script written in the Photoshop or Bridge scripting forums.

  • How can I save a file as eps in Photoshop Elements 11?

I would like to save a jpg file as EPS using Photoshop Elements 11 but EPS does not appear as an option in the drop down list of available file formats.  Looking through the Elements 11 help pages it clearly lists EPS as an available file format and explains that it can be selected from the drop down list when using 'save as'.  Why does it not appear to be an option?

If  you have acrobat in a newer version you could file >> reduce file size
Otherwise you coudl print to .ps file and upload that to an Online service to makes PDFs
