Converting swf/fla

I have a problem with Flash converting. I have a one swf file that will not open in Adobe Flash. The problem , however, is the following . I want to edit swf file and to access the fla file , I use Sothink decompiler where I convert the same Swf file to fla . When I convert the file in decompiler 7.0 , I get to choose which flash format , from 6.0 to 12.0, I want to use. what I choose for version does not seem to matter ( except that the converter nobody seems gone well ) , the result is a failure when I then made my changes in the fla file in adobe flash and want to save it to the swf in the same program. following text is displayed several times :

Hi,
You can decompile the SWFs you are working on using any SWF
decompiler, search for one on Google, but the result sometimes is
not as good as the source files.

You are not likely to get help decompiling someone else's files.

Converting SWF/FLA to Quicktime movie help

Hey,
I'm having issues converting a semi-old flash file into a quicktime video. I've been moving a lot of work to .mov files lately and off of a flash based file, the conversion actually worked perfectly on a previous video but I can't seem to get it to work on this file. During the conversion it just gets hung up on recording the flash file and I'm forced to cancel. Creating a AVI yields the same result (no that I want a AVI, just saying).
I thought of a few things that may have been making it act like this, so I deleted things like the play/replay button and what not, but no good. Can Flash not export to a Quicktime if there are Actionscripts present? I'm pretty much at a loss. I've uploaded the full file, untouched from my tampering here. http://www.iamgrafik.com/grafik_flash_002.fla Any insight or help is appreciated. Or if you can convert it out, that'd be great too (bad for me still though, since it's a problem on my end....)

Help! I accidentally deleted my fla file, but still have the
SWF? Is there any way to convert swf to a layered fla file?
Or any other way to quickly re-create the layered file. Being

Can I use/convert Flash *.fla sources to Flex sources?

I have an older project with a *.fla source file.
Can I use this old Flash source in Flex SDK resp. Flex
builder too?
Do I have to convert this *.fla source in advance?

I did some further Investigation on my own. Actually YES YOU CAN EXPORT VIDEO DIRECTLY from flash to AVI - MOV
just select export/export movie/avi
From there you can select the output resolution and have full HD 1920x1080.

I think they mean to convert flash content into a type of
file to use for dvd authoring/burning. "Efficient" is a relative
term when it comes to what you want to do. The best answer
sometimes depends on what is actually in your flash file. If it's
all vector, you have less to worry about when it comes to
generation loss. There are several "swf 2 avi" converters out
there. Flash itself lets you export to avi, but the quality has
never been good. I use GeoVid's Flash to Video Encoder

We are trying to convert SWF file to PDF in Adobe LiveCycle Workflo using PDF Generator, but i believe it requires Acrobat 9.0 or higher. We have Adobe Reader 9.3.1.
Is there a way to convert SWF file to PDF? Please help.

There is a solution after all: bundle all swf's in an .orb file using the app of the first link and then convert the .orb file to .pdf using the second app. Both apps are from the same developer.
BTW .orb files can be viewed on iPad/iPhone.

Captivate is e-learning development software not a dedicated video convertor, you are better off trying something like Adobe Media Encoder or Super.

Converting swf to exe

I have an application developed in flash with XML database .
I couldn't that the user had access my tables in the
instalation. The tables must be inside exe and without files

This problem occurs in Win7 sp1, especially IE has been upgraded to v10.
Our SWF to EXE Converter must need the FlashPlayer plugin for IE, it 's not a atandalone program.
So it only 880KB.
Our online converter is the adobe flash player exe, it can be embed the swf into, and standalone, so its size > 4MB.

Hi, I used bullrushsoft SWF to EXE converter, but the created EXE file showing only white screen, i think i need to add flash player also but i don't know how to add flash player duriing swf to exe conversion.
Because when i converted swf into exe from my pc, it showing size 880 KB where swf file size is 413 KB, onthe other hand, I convert the same online which is playing correctly but the converted file size is 4.57 MB.
Am i right?
