Coocox provide components and example for IC

I found a very good website: www.coocox.org.
They provide components for temperatrue sensor and Flash devices which connect to this MCU with SPI/I2C or other communication port.
I recommand the site here in case that you may need the sources.

Hi - Please take a look at the Workspace application developers guides for Web Services and Java. http://www.oracle.com/pls/cs101/portal.portal_cs?selected=5
    That will get you started.
You will have to use WSDL2Java to generate the stubs but it works fairly well.

  • Why Do People Make and Provide Software and Support for Free?

Hey all, I discovered Linux and open source software a little over 4 years ago now. It transformed the way I thought about software and using the computer. So now in my senior year of college I have chosen for open source software to be the subject of my thesis.
The topic of this thread is the research question of my thesis. But it is also question that I have been thinking about for the last couple years or so. Why do people decide to write software and then give it out for free for all to modify? The second has to do with forums like these. I have always wondered why people do help support on these forums for free when they can be making money doing the exact same thing. Below I will write 13 research questions that you guys can give me your answers or philosophy too.
    1. How long have you been using Linux?
    2. How did you learn/find out about Linux?
    3. Why have you chosen Linux over other operating systems available?
    4. Why did you choose to use your current distribution?
    5. Do you still use any closed source programs that are not available for Linux?
    6. Tell me the reasons that you contribute to the community?
    7. What do you think motivates others to contribute to the community?
    8. In your opinion, what reasons do you think others provide software to everyone for free?
    9. In what ways do you feel contributing to the community could benefit someone's future/career?
    10. What is it about contributing or programming that you enjoy most? Is there any aspects you dislike?
    11. Are you a member of other non-software communities? Such as a church, voluntary organizations or charities?
    12. Does your open source work spillover with any other areas of your life?
    13. If you provide support on forums such as these, why do it for free?
You DO NOT have to answer all 13 of the questions above. Please just pick out the ones that you feel are most important or interesting to answer. If someone else says something that you think is interesting feel free to respond to them if you agree or disagree.
If anyone wants to take this discussion further with me than the forum, I will absolutely love too! Just please send me a private message on here and we can figure out further ways of contacting each other.
I plan on using your user names on this forum to identify people in my paper. If any of you are uncomfortable with me using your username in my paper, please let me know! I will be monitoring this thread on a day by day basis for the next two months or so, until my thesis is complete. If you guys have any other questions that pop up, please do not hesitate to ask! Thank you all in advance for responding!

hockeyfighter09 wrote:1. How long have you been using Linux?
Roughly 3 years, with about 2 of those full-time. Tried out for 6 months a couple of years before that, but didn't stick.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:2. How did you learn/find out about Linux?
Older relatives/friends mentioned it in passing due to my interest in computers, was pointed to the (then-new) Ubuntu and actually given a CD (which I never used). Did read up a bit about it at the time, though.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:3. Why have you chosen Linux over other operating systems available?
Frustration with fixing Windows. Most of that came from my tinkering with it with a bunch of patches/hacks/cracks etc, necessitating a reformat every few months. Oh, and viruses would pop-up once in a while. Mac was always out of my budget (was a student, am still not done with my post-grad).
hockeyfighter09 wrote:4. Why did you choose to use your current distribution?
Ubuntu got quite frustrating from two aspects:-
    1. 'Freeze' policy kept creating lousy bugs. I would have maybe 12 external ppas enabled and of course they wouldn't always play nice with each other, simply because the repos I had been so in awe of when first starting out didn't actually contain all that many useful programs. Used Mint for a while, same problem (now I understand it was the same base).
    2. SNR of forums - When I first joined ubuntuforums it was like heaven-on-earth, so HELPFUL, so many replies almost instantly. It took me roughly 1 and a half months to notice that probably only 2 regular posters were worth listening to, the rest were trying to help with no knowledge to back them up.
So I tried Sidux, OpenSuse, Fedora, and finally read about Arch. Installed it side-by-side, and viola, it was fun! I like tinkering, basically, and Arch allows me to do it far more than Ubuntu/Windows (I class Ubuntu as similar to Windows by now) ever did.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:5. Do you still use any closed source programs that are not available for Linux?
Yes, some games through wine (not sure if that counts as 'available for Linux'. I do not boot into Windows at all, anymore (though its on my laptop).
hockeyfighter09 wrote:6. Tell me the reasons that you contribute to the community?
One of the best things I like about open-source is how most active projects have a community around them. So its not just software, but people working together (of course with heirarchies etc.), fits my Utopian view of how things 'should be(tm)'. I'm a sucker for Utopia, so I try to feed the community as far as possible.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:7. What do you think motivates others to contribute to the community?
A combination of 6. and substituting social deficiencies. Some come across as not actually having much of a social life (probably lack of those sharing nerdy interests in their area) and substituting that in online communities. This isn't really Linux specific, more internet-community specific.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:8. In your opinion, what reasons do you think others provide software to everyone for free?
Perspective of personal developer (one-man projects), I think its a mix of altruism (probably 20-30%), pride (50%) and commercial sensibility (the rest). Most of it is pride, the knowledge that many use my software.
For companies, as mentioned above, its very financially viable, especially in already-saturated markets.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:9. In what ways do you feel contributing to the community could benefit someone's future/career?
Not much, honestly. My career-line is education/engineering, so not much scope there. For someone in the computer sciences, of course there'd be more benefit, but not more than investing the same amount of time into part-time work to expand your portfolio. So for the INDIVIDUAL I believe participating in the community does not bring future/career benefits, we do it because we enjoy the community and want to see it succeed.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:10. What is it about contributing or programming that you enjoy most? Is there any aspects you dislike?
The sense of achievement, that what you do is useful to someone. The BIG dislike is when other members of the community don't feel the same way. There will always be members who are demanding (customer mentality) or abrasive (big tough guy mentality). Both are 'big city' mentalities with no place in the 'homely-little-town' community of Linux (that's how I see it anyway).
Oh, and noobs answering questions with no knowledge (something I've done before as well) are more annoying than noobs asking questions, personal opinion
hockeyfighter09 wrote:11. Are you a member of other non-software communities? Such as a church, voluntary organizations or charities?
I'm very active in my church (various leadership roles), and regularly help out at my fiance's NGO (mostly video work, ffmpeg and cinelerra stuff). A child sponsor and blood donor, etc. etc.
hockeyfighter09 wrote:12. Does your open source work spillover with any other areas of your life?
I don't 'work' on open-source, so a bit of a N/A here. What small patches I provide, or the moderating I do here, is just small contributions. Doesn't spill over to any other areas of my life, because computers are like that, compartmentalized away from the 'real world' (cue Matrix theme tune).
hockeyfighter09 wrote:13. If you provide support on forums such as these, why do it for free?
Like I said, in a small village community setting, people help and are helped for free. I do tech support for friends/relatives in RL for free, so on the forums, for very little time invested, why not?
In answer to litemotiv - yes control is MUCH more important than freedom. I've never really been taken by all of RMS' screaming and ranting. I'm an engineer by training, I want to know what's going on (to a reasonable degree) and control it. Philosophical discussions are interesting but ultimately a waste of time.

  • Good resources and examples for making beautiful things

    Hello ,
I am new in flash and I know how to work with tools and create some shapes but my problem is that I cannot create beautiful things with good filters and such like and it is because I have not seen good examples .is there any website or anything else as resource and example which I can learn how to create beautiful items(like using filters or making 3D objects and beautiful shapes and  using color to give effect)?

    Hi Immigrantbird,
I'm not sure if you're after a more design oriented resources rather than a flash specific one.
It might be worth doing a wider search on graphis / design principals rather than just specifically flash.

  • AppleScript resources and examples for Numbers 3

As Woggledog points out in this thread Numbers 3 now has AppleScript support (as of version 3.1). The linked article in turn has a link to some helpful resources, including working examples, at Mac OS X Automation.
It appears that the AppleScript support in Numbers 3 is now on a par with Numbers 2, perhaps already slightly better, and that many old scripts will work after minor adjustments.
Does anyone have other examples or links to sites showing useful things that can be done with AppleScript and Numbers?
    SG

    Hello SG,
Sorry i used this link to get in touch with you since i don't know  how to get in touch directly with participants.
I had a reply on my concern by Quinn who told me you could perhaps help.
This is all about nested popup menu.
I triad to apply the process according to this thread, but honestly I came quickly to a wall.
I took snap shots of my table to make you understand what I wish to do (certainly quite common but my skills are poor).
I wrote some comments on the pictures to help. I hope it will...
In reference to the thread, Invoice would be the "Order Form" of the thread, and 2nd picture down below would be the "Products".
The 3rd picture is a table with prices of the rooms.
There are of course tables for each type of products.
I hope it is not too confusing.
    This is my invoice:
In the first column PRESTATION i want the operator to choose in a popup list what has been sold (night, lunch, diner, bar, spa, transport, …) and then in the DESCRIPTION column i want another popup list appearing with products in accordance with what the operator chose in PRESTATION.
For example the operator chooses in 1st column the NIGHT (Nuitée  in french), then DESCRIPTION column same row should come up with a popup list of the rooms (A, B, C, D, E, F, G) so the operator can choose what has been purchased.
Cherry on the cake: an automated unit price of the room should also appear in the PRIX A L'UNITE TTC column (Unit Price) depending on this choice of the room, and also status of the guest (low season rental, high season, friend-family, staff, tour operator customer, ...). The status of the customer is defined in a popup list in another sheet.
And of course, I would like this process to apply to all purchased made (this is what i tried to show with this table with colored arrows):
If in column 1 you provide Night, column 2 opens on a list of rooms, if it is transport then it opens on transport providers, if bBar then it opens on list of beverages, etc ...
As I said, if the price can be displayed automatically in the desired column Unit Price ... that would be perfect.
If i want to use the process of nested popup menus proposed in the thread, with that kind of complications, it becomes quite tough.
So I had been told the things can be automatized through an Applescript process. But this I don't one thing about this language, or even Automator.
Therefore, I guess it makes it rather difficult to find a "soft solution" to my problem.
What is unclear to me is why Apple does not develop expressively this feature since it is most useful.
Anyway, thank you for your time and professionalism on this one.
    Lionnel.

  • Hi All,Can any provide an example for SAP MEMORY AND ABAP memory

    Hi All,
Can any provide me an example for SAP MEMORY AND ABAP memory.
    thanks&regards.
    Bharat.

    HI Bharat
A simple example of ABAP memory is using the EXPORT/IMPORT statements.
Here in this program, I get the data, export it to memory,
clear out the internal table in my progam, then reimport the data into it and write out the data.
You probably wounldn't do this in a normal program,
but this is how you can pass data from program a to program b when A Submits program B.
    report zxy_0002 .
data: it001 type table of t001 with header line.
    select * into table it001 from t001.
    export it001 = it001 to memory id 'ZXY_TEST'.
    clear it001. refresh it001.
    import it001 = it001 from memory id 'ZXY_TEST'.
    loop at it001.
    write:/ it001-bukrs, it001-butxt.
    endloop.
    SAP Memory
SAP memory is a memory area to which all main sessions within a SAPgui have access.
You can use SAP memory either to pass data from one program to another within a session,
or to pass data from one session to another.
Application programs that use SAP memory must do so using SPA/GPA parameters (also known as SET/GET parameters).
These parameters can be set either for a particular user
or for a particular program using the SET PARAMETER statement.
Other ABAP programs can then retrieve the set parameters using the GET PARAMETER statement.
The most frequent use of SPA/GPA parameters is to fill input fields on screens
    ABAP/4 Memory
ABAP memory is a memory area that all ABAP programs within the same internal session can access
using the EXPORT and IMPORT statements.
Data within this area remains intact during a whole sequence of program calls. To pass data
to a program which you are calling,
the data needs to be placed in ABAP memory before the call is made.
The internal session of the called program then replaces that of the calling program.
The program called can then read from the ABAP memory.
If control is then returned to the program which made the initial call, the same process operates in reverse.
    SAP memory
The SAP memory, otherwise known as the global memory,
is available to a user during the entire duration of a terminal session.
Its contents are retained across transaction boundaries as well as external and internal sessions.
The SET PARAMETER and GET PARAMETER statements allow you to write to, or read from, the SAP memory.
    ABAP/4 memory
The contents of the ABAP/4 memory are retained only during the lifetime of an external session
(see also Organization of Modularization Units).
You can retain or pass data across internal sessions.
The EXPORT TO MEMORY and IMPORT FROM MEMORY statements allow you to write data to, or read data from, the ABAP memory.

  • Examples for using function modules and BApis.

    My Dear FRNDS,
I am very new to ABAP. And I have read the documentation for  function modules but i am not that clear to practice them.So I would be very happy if u people share a little bit of ur experience with me.
Please provide me some examples of all the use cases in function modules and specially exception handling.
Frnds, i am going to work with bapis so i feel practicing function module will give me a edge.

    Go thru this link
    http://www.planetsap.com/LIST_ALL_BAPIs.htm
    BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT
Execute external Commit when using BAPIs
This method executes a COMMIT WORK command. It is required for
transactions developed externally to the R/3 System that change data in
the R/3 System via BAPI calls.
When you call BAPIs in your program that change data in the R/3 System,
afterwards you must call this method to write the changes to the
    database.
    COMMIT WORK
The statement COMMIT WORK completes the current SAP LUW and opens a new one, storing all change requests for the currenta SAP LUW in the process
there are some FM that we use for creating trasaction . for example FM : that use for creating production order . if you execut the FM , the system will not create any data in the system so you need to excute the FM : BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT to commit that creating the production order .
in case of commit work, that is a syntax in abap program . if you use this syntax after you insert ,update or delete table in the sap ,system will do it immediately otherwise the system will do it after execution is complete.
    ROLLBACK WORK.
for confirming or undoing database updates. COMMIT WORK always concludes a database LUW and starts a new one. ROLLBACK WORK always undoes all changes back to the start of the database LUW.

    Raj.

May be I'm too foolish to follow those links, I got issues of each links.
What I really want is an example from step0
    Swarup:
Refer the Lookup document - Easy Lookup in Process Integration 7.1
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/20befc9a-aa72-2b10-ae9b-b0988791d457
The first step is "Create an RFC Enabled Function Module for look up", but where can I create the function module? Should I use ESB, IB? or use transaction 'SE11' ?
    Kulkarni:
Very good links for RFC lookup with 7.0/3.0
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/70d90a91-3cf4-2a10-d189-bfd37d9c3231&overridelayout=true
At page6 "PI Development/Configuration", it saies "You are on the design maintenance screen in the Integration Builder.Expand the subnodes for the software component version for which you want to import interfaces".
What is "design maintenance screen" ? My IB version is: Service Pack:08 Release:NW07_08_REL.
When I open IB, it display a screen titled with "Configuration: Intergation Builder", I did not find "software component version" node on the left tree.

    The Prerequisites state:
The JDBC channel to be used for the lookup must be configured and activated in the Integration Directory.
The definition of the table used for the lookup must already be imported into the ES Repository as an external definition
But I don't know how to create a JDBC channel and define the table.

If so, consider using <h2> <h3> <h4> tags for headings and use <p> only for paragraphs.
    Something like this:

                <p>
NextGen staff have worked on watershed assessments and management

recommendations, as watermaster staff in adjudicated basins (San

Your markup has lot of redundant spaces in form of   tags. Clean your markup first. Then style the page with CSS.
Define your CSS properly and call them as classes or IDs within your html constructs. Do not ever use inline styling.
