Cookbook for IC webclient 2007 or 2006, please

Hello guys,
I am working on IC webclient 2007, have searched for cookbook for the version or CRM 2006, couldn't find it. Can anyone kindly post a link where I can download? (seems like sending by email is not permitted here)

You can do it simultaneously.
Things you need to consider while doing this (Init).
You will need to fill the set up tables in 'no postings period'. In other words when no trasnactions are posted for that area in R/3 otherwise those records will not come to BW. Discuss this with end user and decide. Weekends are a general choice for this activity.
You can run them after business hours so that there wont be any transactions, or in the night times or you can do it on week ends so that there is no need to take down time.
Fill the setup tables with already closed values and then fill up again with open values.This will reduce the down time.
Initialize closed periods first in which users wont enter data ( for example in 2007 or 2006), this initializations can be done while users are working. Then the initialize last period at night/weekends.holidays etc.
If you know documents that are in closed periods, and you are sure that these documents can no longer be changed, you can only fill the SetUp tables for these documents or only for these periods, by continuing to post in open periods. You then initialize only for these intervals, delete the setup table, and only then do you fill the setup table with the rest of the documents this procedure can drastically reduce the downtimes of your system.
However, there is a risk that user exits (and in LIS, formulas and conditions) can be used to retrieve documents that are in periods that are already "closed periods".
One more thing what you need to bear in mind is, to check if there are any Scheduled jobs which are updating the transaction tables, which would definitely cause Data Reconciliation Issues.

Consultant's Cookbook for WebIC relevant to CRM 2007?

We will be installing CRM 2007. I'm looking for a good IC Webclient cookbook, but the only document I found on SAP's site is Consultant's Cookbook For IC for CRM 5.0 SP03. This appears to have alot of good information. Can anyone tell me if this information is still relevant for CRM 2007? I couldn't find any similar type cookbook for CRM 2007.

The cookbook will give you a "sneak peak" of the underlying technologies, however you will need to get the cookbook for the new release. The best way to do this is purchase the 2006s OKP material from SAP. Most of the material in the 2006s cookbook will apply for 2007 with some differences between the releases.
The good part of the 50 cookbook is you will see how some of the underlying components of the new UI were built. When you compare how the 40/50 release works with the new one, you will be asking why didn't they make this easy soon.
The best part of the new 52 compared to the older technology, is that you don't have to edit HTML to configure the screen layouts like in 40. You still have all the concepts of the context with nodes and the whole GENIL/BOL layers.

John, please refrain from posting your personal email in these threads. It is not necesary and all communication to you can be done directly in these forums. Posting your email address can open up you to tons of unwanted spam, among other things. Really all you can do is search the internet for them. My suggestion would be to google "case for late 2007 macbook pro".
One will probably be very hard to find for a 6 year old model as it is on the borderline of being considered "vintage". Ebay may be a good place to try too.

On <a href="http://service.sap.com/instguides">SAP Service Marketplace</a>, under mySAP Business Suite Solutions --> mySAP CRM --> mySAP CRM 2005 --> CRM Core and Standalone Components, you will find the cookbook.
Also take note of the guide on ERMS. This will probably part of your IC WebClient project.

Searching for products via Product Hierarchy ID in CRM Webclient 2007

Hello,
When creating a sales order in CRM Webclient 2007 I would like to be able to search for products by using the Product Hierarchy ID. When clicking the search help for product in the order entry screen in the webclient UI, I get a pop-up with the available search criteria. I select Product Hierarchy ID and click on Input Help. A new pop-up is displayed with the three Hierarchy ID:s:
R3MATCLASS Material Group
R3PRODSTYP Product Subtype
R3PRODHIER Product Hierarchy
I select R3PRODHIER. When hitting the search button, I get all materials which have Hierarchy ID R3PRODHIER assigned as a product category in the material master data. I can however not search for materials which belong to a certain hierarchy node in the product hierarchy.
In transaction VA01 in ECC it is possible to drill down through the three levels of the product hierarchy to find the desired material. Is the same type of searching possible in CRM?
Any help much appreciated.

i am learning SAP PP and i hv ides 4.7,
now WHEN SAVING ORDER i.e DURING COST CALCULATION I GET A MESSAGE THAT VERSION 0 IS NOT DEFINED FOR FISACL YEAR 2007,
ON ANALYSING IT LEADS TO T.CODE OKEV BUT HERE SYSTEM DOES NOT PERMIT TO CHANGE THE VERSION, BUT IN ECC 5.0 IT ALLOWS ,
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM, CAN ANY ONE PL. HELP ME,
analysis of error gives following message:
Activation of the indicator is not permitted
Message no. KT253
Diagnosis
You activated an indicator (Plan, Actual, WIP/results analysis or Variance calculation ) in the basic settings for version 1 in controlling area 1000. However, a higher order of settings (general version definition) prevents you from setting this indicator in version 1.
Note
The following should be taken into account when maintaining a version:
In general version definition you decide whether a version is allowed for
     Panning (with the Plan indicator)
     Actual data update (with the Actual indicator)
Note: In Overhead Cost Controlling, actual data is updated in operational version 0.
Actual versions different from 0 are found at present only for delta versions in Activity Based Costing (CO-ABC), and when you work with parallel assesment ( additional versions):
     A data version from results and WIP determination manages (indicator WIP)
     Another version from variance determination manages (indicator Variance)
     A version for exclusive use (field exclusive application)
You must maintain the version basic settings for each controlling area in which you want to update transaction data. General version definition restricts the settings possible for the controlling area:
     If general version definition does not allow plan and/or actual data update for version, this applies to the version in all controlling areas. If plan and/or actual data updating is allowed for a version in general definition, this can be reset for each controlling area separately (unmark the plan or actual indicator).
     Delta versions in ABC may not be used for parallel valuations in the actual; the same goes for versions with exclusive applications. In both cases, the valuation fields may not be maintained.
To set indicators WIP/Results- or Variance-determination the following conditions apply:
     Both indicators may be set only during setup for the controlling area, when they are already established in the higher level general version definition
     If either indicator is already active in the data bank, then the actual indicator may not be subsequently activated
     If the actual indicator is inactive and either of these indicators is active, then the valuations in the corresponding versions and in version "000" must agree
     If the actual indicator is active, then both indicators must be activated
Versions 0 and 1 are used regularly for various purposes by the system, which sets the following limitations/restrictions:
     Version 0 must always be available. It cannot be used exclusively. The plan and actual indicators must always be active.
     The actual indicator may not be activated in version 1.
If these conditions are violated during version maintenance, error messages are issued. There are three types of error message:
1. While maintaining the general version definition, you can only make changes if they do not violate the conditions outlined above.
2. While maintaining the basic settings in the controlling area, the entries must remain consistent with the higher level entries.
3. You want to maintain version 0 or 1. The restrictions outlined above apply.
Use the "Extras" menu option to display the structure of the entries in the complex data object version:
     Select a version and choose Extras -> Version use.
The SAP System shows which controlling areas use this version.
     Select Extras -> Versions in CO area
This displays all versions used in the current controlling area.
The subordinate entries in the hierarchy (settings for each fiscal year, strategic Activity-Based Costing: transactions for a delta versions) will also be shown for both cases.
Procedure
Do not activate the indicator, or change the higher order of settings in the general version definition.

What are you trying to change?
To me you are not suppose to make any changes, you need to select the version "0" and then hit "Settings for each Fiscal year" subfolder.... here you copy the settings of 2006 and change the year to 2007. This should resolve the problem.

HT1237 Where can I get firmware updates for a Mid 2007 Mac mini (Macmini2,1)?

The model for some reason is taken off of the firmware update support page. I found an archive of the page from 2011 and there seems to have been an update. My current SMC Version is 1.19f2 and the update was 1.3f4 but the strange thing is that when I follow the link to download it forwards me to the late 2009 model page. Any help would be appreciated. I'd look across the internet but I'm not comfortable download firmware upgrades from a 3rd party site.

Edit: I found that the mid 2007, late 2006 and early 2006 use the same SMC firmware and realized that both the link from the archived page and the link for the late 2006 model on apple's page all linked to the early 2006 firmware update. I'm going to try it. If you want me to update with results reply, otherwise consider this dead...

Action in Interactive Script for IC Webclient

Does anybody have experience with creating an Interactive Script action for IC Webclient in CRM 4.0 with SIE?
According to the cookbook (see thread IC WebClient Consultant's Cookbook) for the Service Industry Extension you can create an action without using Java. In the action definition you can directly enter the name of the ABAP class that contains the method to be executed.
However, when the script is executed the action does not seem to work. In fact there is no error or dump that shows it has done anything.
I have followed the instructions as described in chapter 2.2.2. of the document.

We are not using EP interface for IC Webclient, then where can I find broadcast messaging URL in SAP CRM system.
I have checked for the relevant BSP application, but could not find.

Go to easy access u2013 go to favourites u2013 select add other objects - select BSP Applications- then select CRM_BM Application.
