Cool Down Mode

Hi everyone! I have an HP Laserjet Color 100 MFP M175a...I bought it two months ago and until now I've printed many documents of excellent quality ...I changed the toner and it has continued to print fine, until today ...after printing 100 page b/w and color,  the display sign Printing Cool Down Mode...One page every 10 minutes...it's impossible to continue..Please, someone can help me...
Thank You!

Hi Notorius,
This is normal when you are printing this many pages at one seating. The fuser which bonds the toner to the paper needs to have a chance to cool down so that it doesn't over heat and cause damage to the paper or printer.
Printing... Cool-down mode - The product is too hot to continue printing at normal speed. The product will pause longer between printed pages until it cools down.
Overheating occurs when the product lacks air ventilation or when it prints continuously for a long period of time. To prevent overheating, place the product in a well-ventilated area, and divide very large print jobs into smaller print jobs.

i recently bought HP Laserjet pro 100 color MFP M175a but it prints like 40 pages and goes to cool down mode and it takes like 10 minutes to cool and again it prints 40 pages  so i donot the problem

    Hi @teko2014,
I see by your post that the printer keeps going into a Cool-Down mode. I can help you with this. I can help you with this.
I have provided a document with Resolving Control Panel Messages.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Update the printer's firmware. HP LaserJet Pro 100 color MFP M175a Drivers.
Select your operating system, click next, click the link for firmware.
Where is the printer located? (enclosed cabinet, desk)
If the printer is in a enclosed area, temporarily move it to another open location and try printing again.
What is the paper's weight and what kind of paper are you using?
What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)
    Have a nice day!

  • ALWAYS Display Printing.... Cool-Down mode

I need that private-message solution, too.  My printer is on a table, set well away (8 inches) from the wall, and is plugged directly to the AC outlet.  The paper is Office Max Laser Paper, 96 bright, 24 lb., 8 1/2 X 11.  One page prints, then the printer stops and the "Printing. . . Cool-down mode" message appears on the panel; that message stays on the screen for about 3-5 minutes, then another page prints, and the cycle continues.  "HP Update" reports "No new updates available."  This just started today, right in the midst of my printing some needed material.  Please help!

Thanks so much for taking the time and trouble to reply to my plea.
A confession:  I found that I did not need to perform the NVRAM Programming Reset on my printer.  Since, with the "Printing . . . Cool-down mode" pauses, the printer was taking so long to print each page, I left it working to go off and do some other chores.  While I was away, the paper ran out, and naturally the printer stopped printing.  By the time I got back and loaded more paper, quite a bit of time had passed.  When I resumed the printing process, the printer worked fine.
My guess:  between the time the paper ran out and my starting it again, the printer had cooled enough that it no longer had to go into "cool-down mode" after each page.  I used the printer again this morning, and it worked perfectly.
So my suggestion to others who have this problem:  try shutting down the printer for 15-20 minutes.  When you turn it back on, it just may work correctly again.

  • Stuck in cool down mode

Phone stuck in cool down mode for 24 hrs and will not charge tried the reboot and got to the first menu and seleceted reboot and then the screen goes black and I cannot get the menu back so I cannot do the data reboot or the factory reset what can I do next

This will clear the cache partition on your phone and give you a clean reset to stop the cool down mode. This will not delete any information from your device.
Do  the steps below listed below if you have not already tried this
    1. Power up the phone by pressing the VOL UP + VOL DOWN KEY together + POWER KEY .
    2. The device will enumerate with different BOOT OPTIONS
    3. Use the VOL DOWN Key to SCROLL and VOL UP Key to SELECT
    4. Select Recovery
    5. The device will start up with Motorola logo and power up to a little Android man logo with Exclamation mark
    6. Press the VOL UP and VOL DOWN Key together at this screen
    7. The device will display BLUE Text on a Black background .
    8. Use the VOL DOWN Key to scroll DOWN and the POWER Key to SELECT the option desired .
    9. In this case , press the VOL DOWN key till the cache partition wipe is selected and press the POWER key to confirm the selection .
    10. Use the VOL DOWN key again to select YES - delete all user data and press the POWER key to CONFIRM .
    11. The device will then start performing the partition wipe
    12. Once the Formatting is complete , press the POWER key to confirm a REBOOT
    13. The message rebooting is displayed on the phone.
    14. The device will reboot and start the normal power up sequence .
If you're still having the issue after this the next troubleshooting I can suggest is to perform factory reset. You can follow the instructions on how to reset your phone here https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp....

  • HP Color Laserjet Pro MFP M177fw going cool down mood after printing every pages.

I have bought Color Laserjet Pro MFP M177fw before only 3days. From the very begining It says printing.... cooldown mood, and take a long paus. This issue occures after printing each page. I am using HP Toners. And my directly connected with wall socket(Electric).  Please help me. It is urgent for me. Thanks in advance.

Afternoon , I found some information about the cool-down mode on your Laserjet Pro MFP M177fw. The product is too hot to continue printing at normal speed.
The product will pause longer between printed pages until it cools down.
Overheating occurs when the product lacks air ventilation or when it prints continuously for a long period of time. To prevent overheating, place the product in a well-ventilated area, and divide very large print jobs into smaller print jobs.Other than using it in a well ventilated room, you could see if there are any firmware updates available. You can click on this link to Getting Printer Updates for HP LaserJet Pro. If the issue continues, I would Contact HP Support for further assistance. Fill in the model number and the form to receive a case number. You can view all other ways of contacting HP from their list of Support Options.  Thanks,

  • Mac gets hot then screen go to sleep and will not restart until cools down

Ever since I downloaded Lion on my mac I have noticed when I leave my mac while not using it it gets really warm.Next it goes into sleep mode and will not wake up with a tap of any button so I have to wait for it to cool down to restart.I have read other peoples problems with Lion could this be another glitch with the new operating system download?

I have been getting the black screen after waking. My screen is not set to sleep, so I don't know if it's related. Some discussion of the problem here:

  • My iPod said "Can not use iPod until cools down". I let it sit over night and now it wont charge.

So last night My ipod brought up a "Can not use ipod til it cools down" message. Than I turned it off for the night and It wont charge. Is there something wromg with my iPod?

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

However, I suspect a hardware problem and the Apple store will likely be necessary.

I'm not certain but my new MBA 13...when in sleep mode comes back on from a black screen when I simply click on the left mouse button. Also, one time I did a SECURE EMPTY TRASH on files that totalled more than 1GB and it took so long that the fan kept increasing in speed so I pressed on the POWER button and the MBA shut...I was able to boot up with no problem. As a rule, I now only do secured erases for trash bin data totalling 500mb or less...anything above that gets a regular erase (dump).
