COPA issue

Hi Gurus,
Two condition type are assigned to one value field.One condition type can have either + or negative values.The value field should do summation correctly in either of cases.
If I activate check box transfer +/- indicator , those with positive value are subracted in COPA , but with negative values remain unaffected
If i do not activate the check box 'transfer +/- indicator', those with =ve values are added correctly in COPA, but still negative values remains unaffected.They sum up the values for both condition types
If u change both, then it passes -ve values in COPA.
In this then shud i create a new value field or what could be solution?

If you transfer the +/- indicator, then in the COPA report you should not add or deduct the values in your report, if you dont put the +/- indicator then in the COPA report you have to explicitly mention in the report how the plus or minus has to happen,
Ideally if for a conditipon if you have the signs changing ofen, then you have to use the +/- indicator, else you can handle it in the report definition

InDesign CS6 print number of copies issue

Hello!
I have a document that I needed 25 copies of, so I set the # of copies to 25 and off it went. No issue. However, now when I go to a different doc and I print, the # of copies stayed at 25 when I only needed 1. I have to remember to change the # of copies every time I go to print. I was wondering, if there is a preference or setting within the print options for InDesign to return each doc back to 1 copy instead of keeping the previous # of copies?

Adobe form -- multiple copies issue

Hi experts,
using VF03, when i print adobe form with multiple copies automaitically spool is generated with 2 copies.
but my problem is in the first copy price value at the bottom of the page is displayed, but the same price value in the second spool is displayed as ZERO.
my adobe form has a custom driver program.
how to go ahead with this issue.

sounds like the custom driver program is processing the form twice with data clear values occurring between the two executions. Are you sure the program sends once with a copy counter set to 2?

Adobe Reader X cannot respond to printer properties number of copies issue

Hi to all!
I have an issue using Adobe Reader X 10.0.1, 10.1.0, 10.1.2, when select File > Print > Page Handling: Copies = 1, click Printer Properties > Page Setup, specify eg. Copies : 5, it print 1 copy only instead of 5 on Windows platform.
Happen to a number of printers, eg. HP, Epson, Xerox, Canon, Brother printer, etc.
For some reason, Adobe Reader X cannot respond to the No. of copies specified in the printer properties.
Anyone have any solutions or workarounds to solve this issue besides specifying Adobe Reader X : File>Print>Page Handling: 5 copies?
Is there any website, forum, supporting documents, with regards to above scenario?

Sorry for the late response!
The users had a habit of going into the printer properties to specify other printer options eg. 2-sided printing, manual feed printing, heavy paper, etc... besides the number of copies inside the printer properties as well. Therefore, they prefer to do all the various changes in the printer properties instead of changing it at the Adobe Reader dialog.
The same method were applied by all the users in Adobe Reader 9.4.7 and there were perfectly no issue at all! All the network printers (23 different brands and models in the network) responded to the printer properties "number of copies" accordingly.
It seems that Adobe Reader X dialog Page Handling: No of copies, cannot synchronise and recognise the "No of copies" specified in the printer properties. This symptom was tested and found to be the same behaviour for different printer manufacturers. Wonder if there is a bug with Adobe Reader X as this issue did not occur for Adobe Reader 8 and 9 versions. The users were using Reader 8 and 9 versions before and there were no complaints until it was eventually all upgraded to Reader X, starting from 10.0.1, 10.1.0 and now 10.1.2.
What do you think could be the cause?

Account based COPA issue

Hey Brahamaih,
I have been working on the issue but haven't been able to acheive the required results. The issue at hand is that ...
1) We are implementing Account-Based COPA
2) The data is being entered in Planning Framework onto planning levels using the Tcode kepm
3) The line items display using the Tcode ke25 shows the enetered data ( ... i.e. it is coming in the report )
4) The data however cannot be seen in the Table from which the report in Step 3 is being generated. The Table is COEP.
Am I looking at the right table ??? & if I am, then why the data report in ke25 (step2 ) ... not showing in the table from which it is obtaing it from, which as I think should be Table COEP ( which corresponds to table CE2xxxx for Costing Based COPA )

Does anyone know what is missing where ??

Shadow copies issues with Windows Server 2012 R2, deduplication and defragmentation

Hello,
I have a virtual Windows Server 2012 R2 with a data volume with deduplication and shadow copies enabled.
During this weekend some Windows process deleted all the shadow copies and I don't know what process has caused this issue.
After taking a look at Internet forums it seems that could be related to defragmentation process and cluster size but if I review the logs it seems that shadow copies deletion is during some deduplication optimization process (Background Optimization, WeeklyGarbageCollection
and WeeklyScrubbing) and 1 hour after defragmentation.
The related events are a lot of volsnap 33 and finishing with volsnap 36.
Any help would be appreciated.

As it mentioned, it could be caused by disk I/O. When you have high input/output traffic on the original volume, the shadow copy storage area cannot grow fast enough to hold all the copy-on-write changes. This causes deletion of all the shadow copies on the
original volume.
Deduplication will cause a high disk I/O for sure so it could be the cause of this issue.
Here are some suggestions for this issue:
a. Put the shadow copy storage on another volume, even if the volume is located on the same hard disk.
b. Make sure that the volume that causes the issue is not the same volume that contains the paging file. If it contains paging file, consider putting the paging file on another volume.
c. Make sure that the volume is not used as the shadow copy storage for any other volume.

Post implementation COPA Issue - Variances not setteled for process orders

Hi Experts,
The client implemented COPA in the FY 2011. There were many process orders existing in the system prior to implementation of COPA. Now the client trying to archive the old process order and trying to set deletion flag and system throwing error message u2018variances were not calculated fullyu2019.
But client saying orders were settled and no variances existing prior to COPA implementation.
My queries are:
1. The orders are created prior to COPA Implementation and they were settled as well long back. After COPA implementation why system calculating variances once again.
2. How can I check whether the variances got settled for the process order? Please give me the report or transaction code?
3. Can I settle the variances to COPA Transfer structure now for the orders which were created before COPA Implementation and what will be the impact?

Hi Sri,
It should be settle the process orders before COPA implementations and find below my answers point by point.
1.System will not calculate again variance, once you settle the process orders, you can close the orders, so it will improve the system efficiency and system will those orders in future to calculate the variances.
2.are u try to close the order, if it is settle the order, system will allow to close the order or vice-versa.(T.code-ask PP consultants).
3.i have mentioned clearly, previous reply,it should not be open orders.
please let me know any further information is required.

FI-COPA issue

Hi,
"FI-COPA are not aligned for the 01 2011 difference". How can i investigate the reason for this difference. How should i proceed on this? I have got all the document numbers which have not got posted in COPA.

Its a very difficult question to answer.... Answer to this mainly depends on how your business wants to see COPA
If you have forogt to create some GL accounts as cost elements OR Catg 11/12 cost elemnents did not post in COPA - You can pass a correction entry in COPA from KE21N
If you dont want to create these GLs as cost elements, then you need to live with this difference....

COPA ISSUE for Cost Splitting of material

Hi ALL,
My client is having some new requirement in COPA for the Promotional items. As they always create new material code for Promotional item which will be combination of more than 1 material sometimes it will be created with the combination of 3/4/5---10 materials.
Now they create seperate Material code for the same. Clients wants to flow the values for the Promotional item to COPA reporting at the parent level i.e. Promotional item and at the Child level also i.e. used material componants for promotional item.
They wants Both level Revenue/Qty/Cost everything to be flowed to COPA. Now they will create sales order for the promotional material and it will have the all values related to promotional material.
Is there any solution for the same to be displayed in COPA reporting in SAP.

COPA issue - segment characterristics

Hi Experts,
We have observed COPA tables contains more data. Our client is using SAP since 2010 but COPA tables data growing with millions of records. We started analyzing solutions to reduce data flow. One of our consultant suggested to make changes in configuration -Define Profitability Segment Characteristics (Segment-Lvl Characteristics) T.code KEQ3.
In transaction KEQ3 there are 42 segment characteristics maintained, in that some characteristics are checked with radio button NOT USED.
Some characteristics are checked with radio button Costing based profitability analysis. Some are checked for Costing+Account based
Can somebody explain us the impact if we select some segment characteristics to NOT USED (Purpose: to reduce COPA line items update in tables). is it really a feasible solution to reduce COPA items.
What are the precautions needs to be taken if it really helps to reduce line items.
We are using only Costing based profitability. Some segment characteristics are checked for CostingAccount based COPA are those characteristics also applicable for Costing based PA or those are only used for AccountCosting PA.

Characteristics [Extern] are the criteria in Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) according to which you
can analyze your operating results and perform differentiated sales and profit planning.
If u deselect the Characteristics then the profitablity report wont chow the report for that Characteristics along with value

COPA issue : Error in Value field data

Hi Experts,
I have created a new value field an assign it to the SD condition type in KE4I. But when I am creating a new billing document with this condition type, values are not flowing to this newly created value field.

Hi Ankit,
please go to transaction code VA03 and provide Sales order number and choose line item and click on item conditions. If you required more detailed click on analysis.
Please check whether the new condition type is getting updated with price (value) or not.
If the amount is zero, values will not be updated while posting the billing document against new value filed.

Multiple copies of music on iPad, and some songs play as a different song

Hi,
I've been having this weird problem that I have been looking into for many times and never have found a straight answer.
I've been finding that I have multiple copies of the same song on my Music (built-in) app on the iPad 2. I don't know why it's been doing this. Yesterday, I finally got a chance to restore my iPad 2. After the restore, the same problem consisted. Not only has that been happening, but I also have been having another weird problem with the music app too. I have a song that I want to play , but it ends up playing a different song. For example, choose the song "we are the champions" or some song, and then it plays a different song like "We will rock you" or some other song. (it's not these songs, I don't have them in my library. They are just examples) but it keeps the name. So when the iPad "says" it's playing "we are the champions" it is actually playing "we will rock you" or any other song.
Sorry if I haven't made this clear enough. I tried the best I could. I have never had this problem until I updated to iOS 5. I am currently running iOS 5.0.1
Is there any way I can fix this problem I have been having? I already tried the restore. I don't know what else to do.

I'm not sure about the playing a different song when you choose a nother, but I Just figured out the multiple copies issue.I had been having the same problem and realize that some of the songs in that album were marked as "part of a compilation." SO i went to each individual song in that album and unchecked the box (when you go to th e"get info" screen) Hope that helps.

CS5 printer issues with Epson R2400

Upgraded (????) to CS5
Win7-64, Photoshop CS5 - 64 & 32, Epson R2400 (Epson Easy Photo Print v1.51 Drivers)
CS5 will not print multiple copies. Can change it in printer settings, makes no difference.
CS5 will not allow me to change orientation to landscape. Have to go to printer settings. Will not stick. have to change it everytime I want to print the same file.
CS5 will lose the printer. Have to change the printer then change it back. "because the printer does not exist" is the error message. (Not even a complete sentence!)
Printer profile will not stick.
These issues did not occur with CS4.

The copies issue is a known problem. Sorry about that. But the other problems are not things we saw when testing with those drivers.

Margin issues with Epson R2400

I user LR 3 on a Mac, and print on an Epson R2400.
My problem is that my print outs are off-centered, even though everything is all right on the screen (and the margins I define on LR are even).
This probably has something to do with Epson's driver (v 6.57), but I do not know what to do.

Error in Derivation and Profitability Segment

Hello Gurus,
I am two issues, which isnt allowing me to create a sales order in IDES.
I am referencing a quotation when i want to create the sales order. But i got a warning message 'error in derivation rule' and the log text has

Diagnosis
Step 0006 Country Ship-to   > Intern.Reg
No entry in a derivation rule was found for the specified source field
                                                                                The derivation rule was set up so that an error message appears when
     this happens.
The required derivation rule entry would need the following source
     fields:
Country Ship-to
I proceeded and the sales order couldnt save. An incompletion log pointing towards the profitability segment was generated. I have put the profit center, yet i have this issue.

This issue is realted to the COPA Issue.
Please Try by giving the Profit Center at sales order Header by giving the Derivation rule and most important thing here is we have to mention the country of ship to here.
