COPA Report - Characteristics in PA

Hi,
We have maintained the Sales Group in the Customer Masters that get picked up in the COPA Report, generated by using the T Code KE24. The users while creating the Sales Order, changed the Sales Group in the SO, but the COPA Report is picking up the same Sales Group as is maintained in the Customer Master, even though the Sales Group had been changed in one of the Sales Orders. Could any one advise as to how can we check the flow of Sales Group in the Standard KE24 Report and how to check the same.
Thanks in advance.
Regards

Hi
Check up whether any derivation rule is set up (KEDR) for the sales group, wherein you derive Sales group value from Customer master instead of from Sales Order.

  • COPA Report - Characteristics

    Hi.
A report has been created via KE30 in our test system. Rather than transporting it i'd like to create it in our prod system.  The listing of characteristics are different tho. For example, Posting Date is available in test but not prod. Is there a setting that provides a subset of characteristics that should be unchecked in prod?  any suggestions are appreciated.
    thanks!

    hi,
Yes, you can create report in Production, but there is no sync between systems(Development,Quality and Production).
    Thanks,

  • Material regrouping in MM02 not reflecting in COPA report

    Hi,
In my project during data conversion material was grouped wrongly. We realised it later once we started designing COPA reports. The material is used by seven company codes. The basic material group defined in basic data is used by all company codes while Material group 1,2,3 4 and 5 are used by company specific defined in sales orgs 2 View in MM master(MM01).
I am designing report for three companies by using material group 1,2,3,4 and 5.
We tried changing the material group 1,2,3,4 and 5 for wrongly grouped materials in MM02. But in COPA report these changes are not reflecting. The grouping in report is still as per the data conversion grouping.
Please suggest on how should we rectify our material grouping to reflect in COPA report.
    Regds

    Hi,
in COPA reports characteristics are read from the COPA tables, they are not dynamically derived at the time of executing the report. In the COPA tables oyu will find the characteristic as derived at the moment of posting the line item.
If the characeristic that you want to rectify is in the definition of your your COPA segments - which you can check through TC KEQ3 - then there is possibility to carry changed master data over to past COPA data.
TC KEND allows you change the existing COPA segments according to current master data. However, it will not make changes to table CE1XXXX, where COPA line items are stored, but changes happen on the segment level (CE4XXXX).
This means that you always see the changes in COPA reports that read from segments, but not in line item based reports.
To change your output from line item based reports I see no other possibilty but to make correcting entries in CE1XXXX using KE21N or KEFC.
If you should consider using KEND please read the documentation for "realignment". It can create problems, for example if you have a SAP BW that is delta-updated from CE11XXX. Also your summarization levels for COPA have to be rebuilt after KEND.

  • Change COPA Report - need to add Variable and Characteristics

    Hello,
I need to change the existing COPA report, Need to add WBS element as a selection criteria and also a characteristics so it can be drilled down.  Create WBS as a global variable in KE3E and it is not showing up in when i change the report in KE30 in the available list of characteristics. And also it is not showing up in KE35 when i change the general selection to add as a Variable.

Go to KE91 and create the report.
In KE91, the Characteristic Cost element (KSTAR) is available.  Add it as below.
Cost Element      ....   Check the box Hierarchy node ......   check the box Variable on/off   ......          KSTAR......     Cost element.
After this, just check in Variable, the Cost element shuold appear
Line item based reports are defined in KE91 (segment level reports in KE31).
Both types of reports can be started in KE30 and changed in KE32
Let us know if you still have any queries
    Thanks

  • COPA report & G/L balance misatched

    Dear Experts,
Will u pls explain me when i see G/L balance of Domestic Sales(G/l number 500000) it come  200050.If i check it through COPA report in same period/year,distribution channel of Domestic sale it shows  me different figure. In the COPA repot in top list item when i check FI documents one by one some documents are missing.Pls suggest me how i got correct data in the COPA report and why the  documents not seen in COPA reprt.Pls suggest.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Debashis

    Hi
FI - COPA reconciliation is always a tedious task and time consuming.
Download COPA line item data from KE24 and FI balance from FBL3n and compare the balances by record type.
    1. Make sure cost element category for your sales GL 500000 is either set to 11 or 12.
    2. Check the record type of COPA documents posted in KE24.
    3. If the record type is F which comes thru SD/Billing module, check and make sure the FI Balance matches with COPA for this record type. You need to get the FI balance for this record type either by user/Job name or by different doc type.
    4. Check if there is any direct FI-PA transfer structure is activated for this GL and if any user posted FI entry with manual entry of characteristics, where by some of the characteristics are not input correct/blank. This is higly prone transaction for FI - COPA reconciliation issue.
    5. Check if there is any direct COPA entry posting made thru transaction KE21N. This will result in more/less balance in COPA than in FI.
    6. Check if any copa entries are transferred thru external system, and few important characteristics not derived properly.
    7. Check KEDR derivations are set properly
    8. Check if any other cost element area are allocated to this cost element in Controlling Allocations/distributions/assesments.
    9. Last but not the least, check if the COPA report you are checking is able to identify the correct characteristics. If not amend the report based on the data poste.

  • Showing the UoM in COPA Reports

    Hi experts,
Our clients sell many kinds of products, in which each of them can have a different UoM.
    Example:
    - Product A: 100 pc
    - Product B: 10kg
That is why, we need to be able to show the UoM in the COPA Report.
Well, as far as i know, there is a fixed characteristic "Unit Sales Qty", but that is not what we want since it shows in the same way as the other characteristic in the drilldown report.
How can we set this UoM in the same column as the value field? (maybe beside it?)
    Is this possible?
Thank you very much in advance
    BR, Erwin Hartono

    Hi Adi,
We have maintained that in KE4M.
In line item, it is shown though, but not in KE30...
The qty and the UoM is correctly transferred, however, my issue is that, they can't be shown in drilldown reporting side by side with the value field of sales qty. Normally, that UoM will be populated in the characteristics which is at the left side of the graphical output COPA report, which is not something we want, because it will need an extra effort from the user side to drilldown to that characteristics.
So, the main goal here is to be able to show the UoM side by side with the qty field in COPA graphical report.
Thank you very much for your help
    BR, Erwin

  • COPA Report export error

    Hello Experts,
I get the following error while I try to export a COPA report by using the function "Copy report to XXL" and selecting all the characteristics:
You cannot execute the function EXCR
        Message no. KH 124
    Diagnosis
The sequence of the characteristics was changed after the data was
selected. Therefore the internal data table must be completely
reorganized. This could not be done, either because there is not enough
storage space, or because more than ten characteristics are affected.
    Procedure
You can save the changed report structure in this form and select the
data again. Then you can execute the function EXCR.
Please let me know how I would be able to resolve this.
    Thank you

    Hi Munair,
This issue can be solved by regenrating the report through transaction KEMO. However if you have done any changes to the operating concern then it is suggested that you regenerate the operating concern through KEA0 before executing KEMO transaction. Also please check if note 1034599 is available in your system. If not kindly apply the same.

  • Exclude a customr from COPA report

We have a COPA report where we have two row in the form (KE35). It's a cost based report
First row - Total sales - the characteristics are by sales document type
Second row - Rebate sales - by Material groups
In the rport (KE33) - they are slecting all customers for all above..
Now I have a requirement to delete one single customer out of the report and I dont's see any option to delete one customer.
    Is it possible?

    Hi,
I guess, you cna exclude it from the selection variant when you run a report. Of course, if the customer is a part of selection parameters.

    Eli

    Dear Friends:
In T.code KEA5, Characteristics fields KMKDGR (customer group) is already present. I want to remove the Characteristics fields which are not necessary for my report.
In field Catalog (menu path-Characteristics-change selection), I selected authorization group, sales group.
I get the following warning messages
Field KMVKGR has the same name as field VKGRP
I saved the Characteristics fields for sales group and authorization group despite the warnings and activated them.
But when i go to t.code KEA5 again (Change Characteristic overview), the fields of authorization group, sales group are not saved.
The sales group (ex:Z01) has to be defaulted when the user login. Is it possible?
How to overcome the problem? Please advise.

  • Number of sales orders in a copa report

    Hi All
I am designing a revenue report from COPA.In the report,By changing the chrecteristics(sales org), the revenue in the report changes and underneath the revenue the number of sales orders will change. Now my question is, Is there any way to display number of orders that make up the $ amount in Copa report?

    Hi Williams,
In order to regenerate this program call function module 'RKE_GENERATE_INTERFACE_ACT' in the test environment and start it for the respective operating concern.
Example: if the name of the operating concern is 'S001', program 'RK2SS001' has to be regenerated.
Proceed as follows to generate program 'RK2SS001':
    Call Transaction SE37 (Function Builder).
    Enter function module: 'RKE_GENERATE_INTERFACE_ACT'.
    Choose 'Single test' (F8).
Enter import parameter ERKRS = 'S001'.
    Choose 'Execute' (F8).
You would drive the steps for the generation of the program 'RK2SXXXX' for ALLE your operating concerns through.
By the program changes described in this note it is avoided to call the CO-PA cross-company-code derivation type in the so-called 'overwrite mode'. Usually characteristic values of the derivation type which are already filled, that means directly copied from the sales order, are not overwritten anymore.
If characteristic values during the processing of cross-company-code orders are supposed to be copied from the profitability segment of the supplying company code into the CO-PA line item of transaction type 'A', the possibility is provided with the attached correction. Technically the implementation of the desired transfer logic is not executed within the framework of a standard SAP enhancement, but rather by means of the help of a CO-PA-specific user exit of category 'RKE_EXIT'.
In order to use the 'RKE_EXIT', proceed as follows:
    1. Call Transaction 'SE16' and create an entry in table 'TKEEXITS' with following field contents:
                        EXITID - 'KEI1_INTERC'
                        APPL - 'KE'
                        SEQNO - '001'
                        ISACTIVE - 'X'
REPORT - Name of a program in the customer namespace 'Z*'
MODEL - Name of a FORM routine in program REPORT.
    2. Then you can implement the 'RKE_EXIT' in FORM routine 'FORM' of program 'REPORT'. If you want to deactivate it, you have to set the flag 'ISACTIVE' to initial or remove the entry from table TKEEXITS.
    3. FORM routine 'FORM' must be declared with following chaning parameters:
                        I_EXIT_ACTIVE TYPE C
                        I_ERKRS LIKE TKEBB-ERKRS
                        IS_CE1 TYPE ANY
                        IS_CE1_INTERC TYPE ANY
    4. To activate the 'RKE_EXIT' in the program, first set flag 'I_EXIT_ACTIVE' to 'X', since otherwise you can not branch to the exit within the same transaction during the next access.
    5. In the parameter 'I_ERKRS' the operating concern 'XXXX' of the selling company code is passed. The parameter 'IS_CE1' contains that one current line items for the record type 'A'. The parameter 'IS_CE1' contains the current line item for the transaction type 'A'. The characteristic values of the profitability segment stored in the sales order from the supplying view are passed in parameter 'IS_CE1_INTERC'. Are the selling and assigned the supplying company code different operating concerns, values of characteristics only are available in the parameter 'IS_CE1_INTERC', that exist in both operating concerns with the same technical indicator.
    6. The parameters 'IS_CE1' and 'IS_CE1_INTERC' are passed in non-record structured form and must be assigned in the FORM routine to corresponding program variables which both of the type 'CE1XXXX' with which 'XXXX' designates the operating concern of the selling company code are. On these program variables the characteristic value transformations can be executed. Finally the program variable 'IS_CE1' must be assigned to the parameter again, so that the changed characteristic values are returned correctly.
The source code of the 'RKE_EXIT', if the implementation is done in program 'ZZCOPA_CHANGES_INTERCOMPANY', FORM routine 'CHANGES_INTERCOMPANY' and operating concern 'S001' and from the profitability segment of the returning view characteristic 'WWXYZ' is supposed to be copied

    Dear Jayaram
While creating the Derivation Rules I checked the derivation is working fine or not by giving the inputs and it is working and no error in deriving the characteristcis.
