COPA Testing

Hi All,
Our company is on a tight schedule before going live.They are in the final phases of testing (UAT) and are in a bit of problem testing or planning to test Assessment Cycles in COPA. They have about 1600 assessment cycles. I have no idea how these Assessment Cycles work. Is there any way to determine and test just a few assessment cycles that are very very important/show stoppers? Any suggestions are appreciated.

Values can flow into COPA from the following sources
1. Sales Order (Record Type A)
2. Billing (Record Type F)
3. Settlements (Record Type C)
4. Allocations (Record Type D)
5. Manual FI postings (Record Type B)
For (1) - in case you are updating sales orders to COPA (KEKF) - Create a SO and check in KE24 if a record is updated for Record Type A
For (2) -
a. Do PGI and Billing and check if Revenue and COGS is updated to COPA
b. Also, test a scenario of Dr Memo / Cr Memo /. Returns
For (3) - Do some prod order settlements and check if COPA doc is created with variance figures
For (4) - Create an assessment cycle in KEU1 and allocate your marketing expenses- incase you want to allocate it
For (5) -
a. Do some Manual FI Postings from F-02
b. You can also update PRD during MIRO to COPA

Don´t create the transport copies when the change goes to test

just bought iphone 4 today from verizon and had the same problem. this is my 1st smartphone ever. apps all synced when i plugged it in to my computer except the music. this is what i did and it worked. plugged in phone to computer. then under the devices tab i clicked on the music tab. if you look to the bottom right of the itunes page there will be two tabs you can click on. one says settings and the other one says autofill. i clicked on the autofill and then it just started syncing. that was it. i'm not a tech guy by any means. just kinda of got lucky. i hope this helps you out. good luck!

HP Photosmart C4585 - can't print test pages + copies are all reduced in size

I have 2 problems with an HP Photosmart C4585 All-in-one printer.
Firstly, I cannot print test prints ie 'Network Configuration Page' and the 'Run Wireless Network Test' page. It sounds as though it's printing but it produces blank sheets.
Secondly, trying to Copy A4 originals to A4 paper the printout is always reduced in size to about a quarter of the sheet (more like photo size) - no matter which setting I select. It's also printed blue.
The printer is not connected to a computer but I successfully print A4 documents in black, from an iPad using the HP ePrint app. So it is just the copy facility which is malfunctioning.

VALUE FIELDS : Defines the Structure of your Costs & Revenues. (Op. Concern 120 Value Fields)
1)     The client requires three new value fields to be created. Value fields for :
-     Other Airport Charges - International
-     Cargo Commission Cost
-     Personal Cost (Direct)
2)     What are the Steps involved in creation of new value fields? The steps are :
1)     Before creating new value field we need to check whether we can use already existing UNUSED value fields (There are 62 value fields created for the op concern 1000, in production the value fields TBUL1-L7 i.e. to be used (I assume) screen shot1 provided. My predecessor has used value field VV291, VV292, VV380 original description being TBUL3, TBUL4, and TBUL1. I believe he has changed the description in development client and created a transport request ref screen shot 2)
2)     You can create new value field thru T-Code KEA6 (4-5 characters beginning with VV) u2013 My predecessor has reused the value fields originally created he has not created new one I believe. please provide give your comments)
3)     Specify whether this field is for Currency or Quantity (currency defined in attribute of op concern and quantity defined by its own field u2013 unit of measure) u2013 My predecessor has configured the three value fields as Currency.
4)     Describe how the values in this field are aggregated over characteristics. (SUM, LAS, AVG) u2013 My predecessor has aggregated all the three value fields as SUM and they are in Active status.
5)     After the value field is created you have to add the value field (active status only) to the operating concern by Editing the Data Structure. (I guess this is done in the next step)
6)     Assign newly created Value fields to the Operating Concern u2013 T-Code KEA0 (In development client the value fields are assigned to the op concern 1000 refer screen shot 3. In the production client also those three value fields exist (does it mean they are assigned? your comments please.) As they have the original description TBUL3, TBUL4, and TBUL1 refer screen shot 4.
7)     After the Data Structure is defined you need to activate them. (creates plan vs actual database) u2013 Go to the data structure tab and Choose Activate. The status in dev client is Active with correct description but in the production client it is Active with the OLD description. After addition of the value field you need to regenerate the operating concern. T-Code KEA0 u2013 right?
8)     Condition Types are assigned to Value Fields? Donu2019t know u2013 T-Code KE45 (I think this is NOT required in our case u2013 Please give your comments)
9)     Define and Assign Valuation Strategy u2013 Cost assigned to Value fields u2013 T-Code KE4U (I think this is also NOT required in our case)
10)     Define PA Transfer Structure for Settlement u2013 T-Code KEI1 (This step is crucial u2013 I think I have to to include newly created value fields, but am not aware how to do it and what is the connectivity or what happens after this is done)
Note: My predecessor has created a Transport Request No# KEDK902167 for the value fields created by him.
3)     Whether my predecessor has performed all the steps for value field creation? How to test it and check that?
4)     If yes then, Do I need to perform additional configuration or can I proceed to transport it to Production?
5)     What is COPA Allocation Structure & PA Transfer Structure? Where and Why It is used?
6)     What are the different methods of cost and revenue allocations in SAP?

Receiving multiple copies of text messages

i have an iPhone 6 plus and have been receiving multiple copies of the same text message (up to 4x) from various contacts across various carriers. This has been an issue throughout having an iPhone 5s and 6 plus, and only occurs with regular messages, not iMessage. It also does not occur for automated text messages sent to me (e.g. Redbox). While I have unlimited messages it is frustrating because they are sent to me multiple times, and not necessarily in the same order each time. It is also inconsistent. I might get a single copy of one text and four of another. I have reset the phone, changed phones, and every other thing possible. This seems to be an issue not on my end. Assistance would be much appreciate. Thanks.

I can't print many copies!!!

I am having an issue with printing under Leopard. This may need to be under Apple's Pages Discussion, but I don't know.
Here's my problem. I cannot print more than 12 copies of my 24MB pages document at a time. I print anywhere from 100 - 400 copies at any one sitting, and so I end up having to send multiples of 10 to 12 copies every time, just to make it work. My printer company is not will to give me anymore support because they can't figure it out and, "It's a mac problem, ask Apple", and to be honest our PC running the fiery Postscript drivers has no issues at all.
I have changed my cups error log to debug, so I have a lot of stuff available to post if needed.
I am using an imagistics cm3520, which uses the fiery X3e 22c-km PS Color Server v2.0 driver. I have downloaded and installed their latest driver, as well as tried Leopard's (It's exactly the same), but neither can get it done.
The copier has 128MB of RAM and 8GB of HDD space, so I don't think it is a storage problem. I mean, I think it should send one job and do copies of it, not send hundreds of documents right?
I think it's a driver issue, plain and simple. What do you think. I can post excerpts of the logs (I have two. one that worked for a single copy, and one that didn't for 50 copies). The originals are extremely large, but the mass is communication to and from the computer and copier. I didn't see anything being lost in the mass of information, just at the ends when the failure occurs.
I know this doesn't give a lot of information, but ask me questions and I'll try my best to answer them.

We are using a couple of EFI (Fiery) controllers with our Canon copiers and I have been told by Canon support that we need to be using the MacTel (Universal Binary) versions of drivers for Leopard. Luckily for us we have mostly new models of RIPs and the UB drivers exist for these models, but I know that they are not available for all models, which I believe includes your X3e.
To determine if you have a driver or RIP issue, you could save the file as either PS or PDF and then use the EFI utilities, such as Command Workstation, to import the file to the RIP (select Process and Hold) and then see if you can print your multiple copies that way. If that works then you know that the RIP is probably okay.
The next test would be to create a generic PS queue to the X3e and print using this queue. If this works then you can narrow your issue down to the driver.

Print multiple copies in Crystal Report

I have created layouts with Crystal 2008 . I need to print first copy as original , second as duplicate and the third as triplicate . I know it is possible using PLD but i need it in CR. Is there any work-around for this problem ? I am using SAP Business One 8.8 PL 10 , Crystal Reports Basic 2008 and SQL Server 2008.

Create a view which has a record for each copy and the docentry. I tested using the view below but it could easily be extended to include the object type and be useful for all documents.

Add this view to your layout and inner join to docentry of the OINV table
Add the copy number as the main group level, before the document etc.
You will then need to fiddle around setting the current page header details into the group 1 header and sort the paging out but you will get 3 copies.

Multiple copies of display on Tecra A7 (Intel 945GM)

I am having problems with my Tecra A7 display, using a Mobile Intel 945GM chip. At one point I started getting multiple copies of my desktop on my screen -- two down, two across, with the very top of the fifth and sixth copy coming in on the bottom.
Initially this was just for the Toshiba and ??Resuming Windows?? screen, but eventually it stayed this way all the time. Windows works normally, just with four really small copies of the desktop. An attached external monitor works fine. I tried checking the Full screen (no borders) box in the Intel graphics manager, as well as all the hotkeys I saw listed there -- nothing helped.

Sounds like the display of your notebook has some connection problems or don't know, maybe there is something wrong in general with the display.
Because, as you already tested an external monitor with your machine, I doubt a driver update or reinstallation would help here.
Nevertheless you could try it, but to get to know what the exact problem is, go to an ASP and let them check your notebook.

Need to run multiple copies of portal on one machine

This is a little involved to explain so I'll try to be clear.
Right now we have multiple developers working on our single copy of our portal
running on one machine at another location. No good can come of this and much
bad has already happened.
What we need is to be able to run different copies of our portal on different
ports on that same machine. Making a copy of the domain, changing the port and
java.io.tmpdir just confuses the first server started when the second one goes
RUNNING. Changing the Web Application name doesn't help either.
It looks like it's only our stuff that gets cornfused when I set up multiple servers
(user_projects/someDomain, user_projects/someDomain2) or multiple Web Apps (someDomain/beaApps/portalApp/webApp1,
someDomain/beaApps/portalApp/webApp2) since I can log into the console just fine.
The Big Idea is that we need each developer to have their own sandbox to play
in along with a demo/test copy of our software.
I've dug through the BEA docs and these news groups and have not found anything
that directly pertains to our situation. The BEA docs are particularly thin on
information pertaining to dealing with more than one developer or deploying to
remote machines.
Here are some of the particulars and constraints of our setup.
We are running WebLogic Platform 7.0.0.0 on a Solaris box at another physical
location. All access is via network. We have no root access for a variety of
reasons.
Oracle is used for our JDBC. No Pointbase.
Our WebApp has a servlet as the starting point.
We deploy an exploded version of our servlet and JSPs for convenience.
We edit and compile our java source on Windows boxes and FTP the .class and .jsp
files up to their proper places on the server.
Naturally, the ideal solution would be to have more than one machine for a server.
Right now we don't have that option.

We tried something very similar to that. We're using WebLogic Platform 7.0.
We only have one login on this Solaris box.
I copied our domain (${HOME}/bea/user_projects/somePortal) to another directory
(${HOME}/bea/user_projects/somePortal-devel) and changed the relevant XML files
with regards to ports and installation directories.
Maybe the UID that each server runs as is the difference........
Maybe an earlier version of the products are more tolerant of this and what we're
experiencing is a "feature".
At least I know that my initial approach wasn't such a bad idea :)

Running multiple copies of an App on one NetWeaver server

Hi there, (V12 with ERP/ECC transactions)
We are setting up our landscapes/environments for development, beta testing, final QA and production. I am wondering if we can combine development and beta testing on the same system.
The obvious concern is that they will have copies of the "same" transactions. If we don't do anything special, the data source name is hard coded in the transaction and as we are on the same MII server, they can't point to different data sources unless we edit the transactions. Is there a way to have a transaction use a configuration of some sort to dynamically specify the actual data source?
Are there any other issues attempting to do this?

Our server is not capable of another instance. It is not easy to get our SAP Basis people to install and configure a new system and we are not allowed to do it ourselves. I was trying to find a way to use our existing instance of NetWeaver/MII to run multiple copies of the application. In J2EE apps I have worked on, it is as simple as copying the software, changing the URL, changing the application config files for the data source and deploying the new duplicate app under a different name.
Seems that in MII the transaction "hard" links the data source name to the data source definition and that link is not dynamically configurable. Would that be a fair statement?

I currently have multiple copies of the same database running on a 2 node Rac system. I am looking for a way to combine them into 1 large database but keeping the data separate.
The databases are copies of production for testing, development and a yearly "historical" databases .
All the databases are created from production, and generally have the same schema's , tables, procedures, etc however may be different versions and need to be.
Is There a way to use one large database and logically split all the different versions of the same objects into their own space in one database ? The structure cannot change as the database is for a 3rd party's Forms application the relies on the objects not changing names etc.
Ideally I am looking for a solution that will allow the forms application to connect to "test" and "historical" copies of our production database separately in the same database container.
