COPA without COPC

Hello,
I am customizing an account based profitability analysis.
I don't want to implement COPC module and I don't have costing data in the material master.
Is it neccessary to do any customizing in:
Controlling --> Profitability analysis --> Master data --> Valuation

This transaction is not supported in account-based Profitability Analysis.
The costs of sales posted in FI at the point of goods issue are transferred to account-based Profitability Analysis as the costs of goods manufactured. Sales deductions (not statistical) are taken directly from the billing document.
You cannot carry out the activities required for valuation in costing-based CO-PA when you customize account-based CO-PA. In addition, it is not possible to create actual line items manually in account-based CO-PA, since these line items would have no reference to an FI document.
Whereas costing-based Profitability Analysis stores all values in "value fields", which generally represent a summary of different accounts, account-based CO-PA stores the values at the account level.
Consequently, when you set up account-based CO-PA, you do not need to perform any activities in which you would assign accounts to value fields. This means that you do not have to maintain a PA settlement structure for postings from FI to CO-PA or for order settlement.

Capturing COGS in COPA without VPRS and Costing Keys

Hi all,
We have 20 branches selling across india and corporate office is controlling all
the branches.
So when billing is done thru a particular branch, Corp. Off does not want branch people to view the cost of goods which is captured thru VPRS in condition screen of billing document. So VPRS has been removed from pricing procedure.
In the above scenario we can transfer COGS using costing key and transfer the standard cost to COPA.
But for the materials for which there is no standard cost (like trading goods) how the cost of traded goods will flow to COPA without using VPRS condition.
Please help me out.

Good morning and greetings,
For trading goods, normally a purchase order should be prevailing for procuring the same and selling it to the customer with a markup...When you do the goods receipt using MT101, using a substitution rule you can transfer the cost to the profitability segment which is product hierarchy and you can capture the cost of the material without a VPRS pricing condition and a standard price in the material master.

COPA without sales org?

Hi SAP Gurus,
My (retail) client is implementing SAP (FICO) without MM & SD in the first phase. All sales / accounts receivable/ accounts payable data will flow in SAP through an interface. I have the following query:
If we want COPA, can we capture sales data without having a sales organisation?
Please advice.

COPA: Is Management tools where one can do complete marginal analysis of the data for decision making. In COPA the data flows from different modules like SD,MM,FI and CO etc. and stores in the form of Characteristics (Co.code,Sales.org,plat,division,customer hierarchy,product hierarchy,product etc) and value fields (Sales qty,sales revenue,cost of goods sold,expenses etc). Once the data flows into COPA tables here we can do the complete data analysis with respect to different prof. segments (the combination of more than two characteristics) and drill down analysis for management decision.
Here only the P&L accounts are flown to COPA.
Ex: the revenue for product xyz+division (Retail) is 100,000.
Segments: This is the feature in New G/L accounting, while posting in G/L the system derives the Segment based on configuration, for Segment financial reporting purpose, here both P&L, BS items are posted to Segments.

What are the limitations if I implement a COPA modelisation in BW without COPA module in ECC. I have these modules implemented in ECC :
- FI-GL
- FI-AR
- FI-AP
- FI-AA
- CO-PCA
- CO-PC
Is it possible to make allocation cycles in BW in this case ?

How to work digital copies without wifi?

I downloaded a couple digital copy movies to my iPad and they won't work without wifi. How can I make them work without wifi?

If you've downloaded them from iTunes directly on your iPad and they've finished downloading (or synced them from your computer's iTunes) then you should be able to watch them in the iPad's Videos app without needing to be online - is that where you are trying to watch them ? If it is, then can you watch any of your films in the Videos app without needing wifi ?

I have left some very angry feedback! I hope it makes a difference. I just cannot use itunes in the same way that I have been for YEARS.
I'm really angry. I've invested a lot of time (and money) in itunes and hate what they've done to it.
Some of the changes are great but why remove features that everybody seems (looking at other threads) to be missing.
Doesn't make sense to me.
It must have been designed by the same team that decided to remove Google Maps from iOS 6 !!!!! Apple really know how to respect their (paying) customers!!

Select/highlight more than one at a time followed by selecting Delete.

I I have accidentally lost the "book" in iPhoto. Can I still get copies from the book without having to resend the actual photos. Other photobook companies keep your book on file?

I have done a photobook in iphoto and have had them produced and sent out to me.
I have accidentally lost the "book" in iPhoto so can't reorder more via the usual way.
Does anyone know if the Photo company producing the books keep them on file, that way allowing you to buy more copies without actually resending
in the book and photos.
I usually use MyPublisher and they actually have your book on file and then you can just print them as you wish.

I keep getting exact duplicate songs in playlists and libraries, how can you filter this out when upgrading these lists, or sync to the same device again? And how to do it without going through each and every P'list or Library ?

I have Windows XP-Pro SP3, the latest upgrades of Three media players, iTunes being the default player. I keep getting duplicates in playlists, libraries etc., of the same version of song. Everytime i make a change or renew my media to device or SYNC it wants to add duplicates to the computer disk, lists etc. Can you filter out same copies without having to edit each and every song, which in my case is quite large. For instance if you want to convert all mpeg, or mp4-a files to AAC you will end up with duplicates of each file type. Or you sync to an ipod, the library adds to itself---- including copies of songs already in it, if in a different file version.

This will always duplicate files within iTunes. I need to ask why you're doing this conversion - all formats are compatible with iTunes, and conversion between mp3 and AAC will always involve some loss of quality.

Is there a way to purchase multiple copies of an App via one account?

I am the IT-support for a high school in New Zealand. They have asked to buy three copies of Final Cut Pro X for student use. FCPX can only be purchased through the App Store. I have created an account and purchased a copy, but it doesn't look like I can purchase additional copies without creating additional accounts.
We are unable to purchase anything through the Business or Education stores because they are US-only.
Is there any other way around this, or is Apple just blowing it big time in NZ?

The MAS is a complete mess for non-individual purchases. I handle most of the Apple purchase orders at my college and for digital distribution via the MAS the key is number is a quantity of 20 or more.
First of all, you should have some kind of contact within Apple's NZ Education Sales department. If not, you should find out who that is.
For FCPX, if you need three copies, you need to create three individual Apple IDs and make three separate purchases. This is absolutely asinine, but that's how it's setup. Even better, in America, there's no way to become tax exempt, so they charge us tax and then we have to request a refund, where they then mail us a paper check.
If you want 20 or more copies of anything, I contact my Edu sales rep and get a quote for it, then we pay via purchase order. Then we receive an E-Mail with individual MAS redemption codes for the number of licenses we ordered. Then you just redeem one code, download the app, and deploy it out, either through ARD (Apple Remote Desktop), or however else you want to.
So in summary, try to order 20 or more of anything. Once you hit 20 there's a price break of roughly 50% and your Apple NZ Edu sales rep should have a PDF of their Edu product matrix pricing. If you order less than 20 of a product, it's a huge pain in the ***. Establish one centralized MAS Apple ID, or at least one per dept. For example: [email protected] (music dept's redemption account). Redeem one code for whatever App you've purchased, deploy the rest out however you prefer and just keep track of the amount of licenses you've used vs. the amount you've ordered.

How can I delete multiple copies (600 ) of the same contact that ended up on my iPhone after backing it up on iTunes?

In syncing my iPhone 3GS on iTunes, I now have many copies of the same contact -over 1,000 in one case-on my iPhone. How can I delete these multiple copies without doing it one by one on my iPhone and how can I prevent it from happening again? I have Outlook Contacts and MSN contacts -- iTunes is supposed to be syncing to my Outlook contacts, but I don't have multiple copies of any of my contacts there. HELP! Thanks!

The cause was probably a USB glitch during a sync or when copying. The music resides on the phone in separate files. A master file contains a database with an index to the music, an entry for each track and a "pointer" to the file containing the track. Somehow the index got corrupted with duplicate entries. It's likely that the music itself wasn't duplicated, but some tracks had more than one entry in the database. I've seen this happen when syncing (rather than manually managing) also. In my case deleting the track from the Music tab in iTunes, syncing, then adding it back fixed it.
A related problem I've seen is an album may be split, with some tracks in each of 2 or more album entries in the listing. Fixed the same way.

No warning when deleting a Master image that is linked to Virtual Copies?!

Scenario: I am trying to clear out old images to free up storage space, so I go back though thousands of images looking for weak . unrequired shots.
Problem; when dealing with "mass deletions" it is near impossible to detect which images are "Master copies" from which I have any number of Virtual Copies. And when you hit delete you might well be ruining Virtual Copies without knowing it.
Surely there is a way to warn you that pics, X, Y & Z are linked to Xcopy1, YCopy1 & Zcopy1 etc, and give you an IMAGE SPECIFIC option to see those copies and make a choice of delete the master or not? I can't beleive Adobe think its user-freindly to have people trawl through each image to check before a deletion?
I know others have expressed similar concerns, and it seems a REALLY glaring omission in an otherwise decent ptoduct.
Comments from Adobe staff more than welcome.

your responce to the observation from the above forum member is a little inelegant and harsh. It is a very good way of telling you where there are VC's of images, but as you said, your methods are your own. Doing things your way and then asking for help and then biting like that is, well up to you how you reply to those offering help and positive suggestions

Account based copa does not tie with GL

Hello All,
I have created a report in acccount based copa that shows me the balance of a GL account (XYZ). However, the balance only pertains to postings that have associated profitability segments entered (table CE4XXXX). However, the purpose of account based COPA is to tie FI GL accounts to COPA. Postings that do not have associated profitability segments do not appear in the profitability report, hence the balance of account in FBL3N and the copa report do not match up..this defeats the purpose of employing account based copa that permanently reconciles FI with COPA.
Ofcourse, there are instances where a profitability segment is not required or cannot be generated but it should show up on the report in order for a user to see FI and COPA balances matching (COEP table is getting updated with the currency value even if a profitability segment is not generated).
I need to see the total balance of the GL account in COPA divided in the following way:
Sales                                                                                YYYY
Cost of Good Sold (Cost element XYZ-assigned to Psg)                   YYYY
Cost of Good Sold (Cost element XYZ-not assigned to Psg)              YYYY

You should change your field status in FI to require the proper COPA segment when posting an FI document. In account based no postings should be made to COPA without it.

Duplicating multiple copies of DVD

I'm on a backpacker list, and for the last few years, people have compiled a DVD of highlights of the people hiking the PCT that year.
The program is public domain and copies are made without charge to the recipients.
I'm duplicating some of the DVDs as my contribution. Is there a way to have disk utility burn multiple copies without starting over each time and doing the whole verification and compiling before actually burning the disk?

Insert the original DVD, quit DVD Player if it starts, and run Disk Utility. Select the DVD drive in the left column (the drive, all the way to the left, not the volume indented below it). Select :New" from the "File" menu, and choose "Disk Image from disk...". Set "Image Format" to "DVD/CD master", choose a file location (such as "Desktop"), and click "Save". When it finishes, eject the DVD, select the disk image file in the left column, and click the "Burn" button (or use Command-B). If necessary, click the triangle at the right to see the burn options. You can use the disk image file to burn as many discs as you want.
