Copied TEXT MODULES or SMARTFORMS is required to translated into other lang

Hi all,
Actually I copied standard form HRRCF_CS_IT_EXA_QUESTIONNAIRE and Text Module HRRCF_CS_MT_QUESTIONNAIRE
into Z FORM and Z TEXTMODULE.
Standard ones have already converted into other languages like GERMAN.CHINES.etc, SO Do I NEED TO CONVERT  MY Z FORM and Z TEXT module into convert into other languages explictly or std functionality is applicable to my Z* ones.  please confirm on this.
I logged into DE , I gave my Z text moudele name in SMARTFORMS, I am able to see GERMAN TEXT.

The translation would be applicable to your 'Z' version as well.
Hope this answers your question.
Thanks,
Abhishek

    Hi guys,
How can we create text module in smartforms? and I need this to be translated into other languages...
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,
In the smartforms initial screen you can find Test module radio button.
Provide the name and create the text there.
In the following screen you find Management tab, where  bydefault translate to all language radio button is selected.
    Thanks,

  • Text Module in SMARTFORMS

    Hi ,
I am trying to append a text at the end of main window at any page ..when ever main window ends.for this I created a text module in transaction SMARTFORMS.and tried to add it into the form when I am doing it ..How should I select the options in the TASK KEY..there are 4 things to be filled
    TEXT NAME  :
    TEXT  OBJECT : ???
TEXT ID :???  (I am doing a print doc for deliveries)
    LANGUAGE
Anyone help me out of this ASAP

If you created a <b>text module</b> that you want to include in your form, you don't refer to it like that.
Once you selected the area / window your text should be in, right-click on the window name, select Create -> Text. Then, in the 'General Attributes' tab, you have to change the type to 'M' (Text module). On the next screen, you just specify the name of your text module that you want to include and the language key. You can specify under 'Conditions' that your text should only be displayed before or after the end of the main window (or whatever your requirement may be).
Now if you want to include an already existing text (that you created via SO10, for instance), then you have to select the type 'I' instead. For SO10 texts, the text object will be TEXT, and you should know the other three parameters if you were the one creating the text. Obviously, the text object will change to another value if you want to include an application-dependent text - then, as it was mentioned, SE75 will help you find the proper object name.
I'm not sure where do you see the "options in the TASK KEY"... hope this helps a bit though.

    KK

    hi kk,
    text modules:
these r like global texts, which we created once can be used in any smartform.
u can create this in t-code: smartforms
select the radio button text modules, in the editor give the text which u want.
to use this in our form:
select the window -> create text
in genaral attributes -> text type -> select text module
give the name, language(generally en) which u created. then it gets the text which u gave in text module.
note: when using existing text modules, as we r not aware of text size, it is better to use them in main window. so that we wont lose any data.
hope it helps u. reward if helpful.

  • How do I copy text and objects from pages to and paste into Email, objects don't show in Email

Anyone know how I copy text and objects from pages and paste into Email, objects don't show in Email, thanks

You can't expect Mail to support all the objects of Pages which can include anything up to charts generated from spreadsheet tables.
Even if Mail was a superset of Pages, what would the recipients who don't have either Mail or Pages, make of it?

  • Problem related to language translation in Smartforms using Text Module.

I have done translation of text module from English (enUS) to Spanish (esSP) using SE63. In text node I have used this translated text module. Language of the node is selected as sy-langu. So when I logged into System in English language I should be able to see the output in English but it giving output in Spnaish. While debugging sy-langu value is 'E'.

    hi,
You have a text in english and you have maintained the translation in Spanish, mention the original text in the SmartForm. in this way when your login lang is EN you will see that text in Eng and if the lang is Spanish you will see the translation in the output.
    Thanks.

  • Text module

    Hi friends,
Could any one tell me what is "Text module" in Smartforms.
How we use them in Standard Smarforms .
    With Regards,
    Ramesh.

    Hi ramesh,
In smartform  there are three text types:
<b>Text element</b> : to enter new text in the PC editor
      <b>Text module</b> : to include a text module
<b>Include text</b> : to include an existing SAPscript text
The texts are displayed in the form using text nodes. The only exceptions are addresses. This uses its own node. The predecessor node of the text node determines its use:
    <b>Predecessor node Used to</b>
Sub window               Position text on one or more pages
Main window              Display text in relation to other nodes in the main window,
                                     it may cover several pages
Template                    Displays texts for table cells of a static table
    Table                         Display table contents
Header and footer        Display column headings and grand totals in tables
Event node                 Display subtotals in a table
    <b>Including text modules:</b>
<b>Text module</b> of the text node is used to refer to an existing text module in the system. The text modules can be used in two ways:
    <u><i><b>STEPS :</b></i></u>
    1)   Refer to the text module. The text then appears read-only in the PC editor and
is included when the form is printed.
    2)  Copy the text module. The system then copies the text of the module and
automatically converts the text node into an editable text element.
    3)   To create a text node , call the context menu for that node in the tree
structure that shall contain  the text and choose create->text
    4)      Enter a unique name for the node and a description
    5)     On the general attributes tab select the text type text module
    6)      Enter the name of the text module in the text name field
    reward points if useful....
    thanks ,
    Ginni...

  • How can I edit a Text Module in Landscape

    Hi to all,
I would like to create a new Text Module in Smartforms and I would like to know if the graphic editor, similar to MS-Word, can be setup to display the page in Landscape?
My text is always edited in Portrait format and I would like to avoid calculating my characters to fit in a larger landscape presentation format.
Thank you in advance for your answers.
    Best regards,
    Sylvain

    Hi,
Thank you all for your answers but I still have the same issue.
    @ Hari,
I tried your procedure and found that I was using DINA4 as a default page format. In SPAD this format was defined for Portrait and Landscape. I created a new page format ZDINA4 with a larger width but the text module presentation remains the same. I only defined the landscape record and I have the same result by clicking Print Layout or Draft. Do you know if this page format has an influence on the Text Module presentation? I would like to put the ruler much wider that it is locked at 21. Any suggestion on how to enlarge the ruler?
    @ Adrian,
Yes I know how to set up the page format in the Smartforms itself but I am talking about the text module. My key user will create the Text Module and I would like to have the same width as my landscape page in the form. If will make things easier for the user to make the data entry since it looks like MS-Word except for the Portrait/Landscape issue. Any idea?
Thank you in advance for your suggestion.
    BR,
    Sylvain
