Did you ever get an answer to this?  I'm having the same issue.

  • I want to switch FROM iCloud to Google Calendar

So, I've discovered that I'm not terribly fond of the iCloud calendar.  I used the MobileMe calendar for forever, but with the switch to iCloud, I'm just done.  My work uses Google calendar, so I want to switch to that, but I don't want to have to re-input all of my appointments/meetings.  Is there a way to sync my iCloud calendar with Google-- even just on a one time basis?  I see lots of posts regarding going the other way, but not leaving iCloud.  I will continue to use iCloud for email-- I just want to switch the calendar.  Also, I don't want to use iCal, but Google's GooCal instead.
Oh, BTW, I don't know if it matters, but I have an iMac, an iPhone, and iPad at home and a PowerBook at work (complete with 5 million firewalls and filters-- I work in the public schools).  I access my calendar from all of my devices-- and I need to be able to share my "home" calendar with my husband...
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!!

  • ICloud and Google calendars not showing up on my 4s

I have an iCloud calendar that shows up when I am logged in online, but not on my iphone 4s. I have the same problem with a Google Calendar. Both are shared and I am not an admin. How can I get them to show up?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
If it isn't showing up at all, it means that Find My Phone hasn't been activated.
If it's just the location that isn't showing up, it may well mean it isn't connected to a network at this time.

  • How can I move my Google calendar to iCloud calendar???

On the iPhone I sync the calendar and mail (without contacts) with google. I want to move the current Google calendar to iCloud and start syncing with it from now on.
I could export google calendar to an ical file but iCloud calendar doesn't have an import option. I don't have an Apple computer.
So, how can I back up all my google calendar entries into iCloud???
    Thanks!

So I solved this today.......I really wanted to switch everything over to iCloud calendar from Google Calendar (and had entries since 2008).....The easiest way to do this is using iCal on a Mac. The problem was I don't have a Mac. So I went down to my local Apple store (I guess you could use a friend's or work Mac as well). I asked them if I could use a Mac for a bit to get my iCloud calendar to work and was allowed to do so. Here's what I did....
I opened my google calendar on the store Mac's safari (or maybe it was firefox, I don't remember now)
I went into settings and found the export section. Then I exported all my calendars onto the desktop in a Zip file(I have 13 of them!)
Next I opened iCal on the Mac. I added 13 different calendar titles (I used the same titles from my Google calendar) under the add calendar setting (this would be so much easier if I didn't have so many different calendars)
Next I imported each calendar from the Zip file into their respective calendar titles(again this would be easy with fewer calendars but even with 13 of them it only took 10 minutes)
Finally I went to network settings, opened up iCloud setting and put in my user name and password. All my calendars uploaded to my iCloud calendar.
I opened iCloud calendar on safari and logged in. All my calendars were there. They weren't in the same colors as the one's on my google calendar but all of it was there (More on this later).
To finish up I deleted my iCloud account settings under network settings, deleted all the iCal entries, and logged off of the the iCloud and Google calendars (don't want anyone in my stuff)
When I got home I logged in to iCloud and changed the calendar colors to suit my preferences.
Sorry this was a bit long winded....all in all it took about 20-25 minutes and was really easy

  • Google calendar won't show up in icloud

Google calendar shows up on my Macbook Pro's iCal and iPhone 4 calendar. They sync with each other and Google Calendar. But the calendars do not show up in icloud.com despite having iCloud turned on. How do I get Google calendars to show up in icloud.com?
    I followed this:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/17118685#17118685
    http://take-a-tech-tip.blogspot.com/2011/10/icloud-moving-google-calendars-to.ht ml
No luck. They show up everywhere EXCEPT icloud.com.

I think what is going on is that icloud.com shows only what is stored in the cloud.  The apps on iPhone, Mac and IPad show cloud data plus other integrated data such as google calendar, contacts etc.  Check mail on iCloud, same thing, no gmail, just me.com mail.

  • Moving/merging a Google calendar to iCloud

I have a client with a proliferation of iCloud and Google Calendars,so that some of them overlap in function. For example, he's got both a "Work" calendar set up in iCloud and a "Work" calendar set up in Google Calendars. These have mostly different events. We want to simplify this by merging all overlapping calendars into single iCloud calendars, and also moving any unigue Google Calendars completely to iCloud. When we're finished we simply want a set of five or six iCloud calendars and no Google calendars.
I"ve tried to do this by exporting the particular Google calendar to a file via iCal's "Export" function, and then using iCal's "Import" function to load the events into the appropiate iCloud calendar. When I do this, I get the following error message pop up almost immediately:
Clicking on either of the choices does not seem to fix the issue, the message continues to pop up every few minutes.
Can anyone suggest a way to completely move and/or merge all the events in a Google calendar into an iCloud calendar?
    Thanks!
    BTW, we're running Mac OS10.8.2

  • Why won't work google calendar work with iweb?

I have done everything that I have done in the past to embed Google calendar into iweb but it no longer works. I have made it public and copied in the exact HTML but does not work. Any suggestions?

I am running a Macbook pro and created the website on it. I have copied the HTML info from Google calendar into Iweb. The calendar is there and I can view all of the months from my computer. People looking at my website (all on PC's I am assuming) only see some of the booked information. As a result we keep getting requests for times that are already booked. There must be something in Google Calendar that I have done wrong.
What I meant by the previous statement is that I went on to a PC, opened my google calendar and copied the HTML from there. I put it into Iweb but It made no difference from when I did it from my Mac.
This is what I got when I used a PC and internet explorer. All my other pages are normal
    More information
This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
    Internet connectivity has been lost.
    The website is temporarily unavailable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
There might be a typing error in the address.
If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.

  • How to sync ipad calendar with google calendar?

    Hi,
I want to know how to sync my ipad calendar with google account. I have already add account on the settings "mail, contacts, calendar, with gmail.
So, I want sync icloud with google calendar or with blackberry (that's connected with google calendar).
    Thank you

There is no suich thing as a Google iPad.  iPads are made by Apple not Google. What device do you have exactly? If its made by Google its not an iPad.  It may be a Tablet though.

  • Setting google calendar alert for 1 week on ipad

Is there any way to set alerts on Google Calendar for more than 2 days?  On a Mac you can specify minutes, hours, days and weeks but on the iPad the longest alert setting available is days....

In the native Calendar app, no. At least not at the moment. Don't know if that will change in iOS 7, but it is possible. In the meantime, you might investigate some third party calendar apps. I'm using Calendars+, which does give you more flexibility on setting alert times spans. Integrates well with icloud and Google calendars.

  • I appear to have two google calendars

On my i phone I show three calendars 1) icloud 2) my google and 3) my outllook calendar
the icloud and google calendar appear to have the same settings (email address, sync calendar, contacts and mail) yet tem is not syncing with my google they show up in different color on the device and one of them is not syncing with google account (sync is on)
I would like to know how to clean this up but can't ID the account to delete.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

On the icloud account setting it also shows contacts being synced. I suspect that if I entered a contact on the phone it is one account and if I entered online (Google) it may be in another. I want to make sure i don't lose important contacts.
    Thank you

  • TS3999 How do I export iCloud calendar to Google Calendar?

My personal agenda is saved on Google Calendar and my office agenda in saved on iCloud Calendar.
So I have to open to pages at the same time every day to manage my commitments: www.icloud.com and calendar.google.com
I cant stand this situation anymore. It is making my day improductive.
I just want to merge the agendad into Google Calendar, so I could see all my events in just one calendar.
So, how do I export iCloud calendar to Google Calendar?

You can back up your iCloud calendar as an ICS file if Google can import this format.  To do so follow these directions:
    iCloud.com Calendar
This method of backing up starts with publishing a calendar that you can then download to your computer. If your calendar is already on your computer, skip to the OS X or Windows instructions.
Go to iCloud Calendar at icloud.com/calendar and sign in using your iCloud Apple ID and password.
    Publicly share a calendar.
Select and copy the URL (web address) from that shared calendar, and paste it to the address field in your browser; do not press Enter or Return yet.
Change "webcal" to "http", and then press Enter.
An ICS file will download to your default downloads location. The calendar can be added to a calendar client like iCal on Mac or Outlook on a Windows PC.
Once the download completes, unpublish the shared calendar.

  • How do I get iCloud calendars to show up on my Google calendar?

I didn't notice until today, but my iCloud calendars (which I can view fine in my iPhone 4S and iPad 2) won't show up in my Google calendar (which I open from my PC laptop). I've researched and researched, but it seems impossible. Is there a way to view my iCloud calendars in Google?

What TV are you using? How is it connected? Are you on the right input? Have you tried a different cable or port?

  • Share iCloud calendar with Google Calendar

Ok, so I'v moved all my contacts, email and calendars to iCloud and everything is wonderfull.
I share a few calendars with my girlfriend and she is sharing her study calendar with me.
We have a shared calendar set up, where we enter when our son is in daycare and we have another shared calendar with things we do together.
    Now comes the tricky question:
How do we share our icloud calendar showing our sons day in the daycare, with our parents who don't have any Apple devices and only uses google calendar?
Reason for this is, we live in the same city, and sometimes they want to go and pick up our son. With a shared calendar like that, they would just be able to write a note in their synced google calendar saying that they are going to pick up our son, and we would see it in our synced icloud calendar.
Also, my girlfriend only have an old-school cellphone. She is now finnaly getting a smartphone through her work.
Only problem I see comming with this, is that her phone is not going to be an iPhone.
So how do we keep sharing all our icloud calendars with her on a windows phone 7.5?
Is the Apple ecosystem finaly getting so clamped up, that it won't allow users who happen to have frinds or family without i-products, to share their life with them?
As everything stands now, I'm getting the feeling that Apple demands me to buy Apple products to all my family and frinds, just so that we can still interact and plan our different lives through shared calendars on icloud.
    Can this really be right?
I hope I'm just missing something. Cause I really thought, that icloud would be this outstanding product which would make my cloud-life the easiest thing in the world. Instead, it really seems to be a step back, in the cloud evolution.

    Thanks for your answer..
it dosn't really solve my problem, since I'm not interested in only sharing a calender on the web.
My wish is to sync my calendar with friends and family that are not using icloud, and not using apple product at all.
For example: My girlfriend, how finaly is getting a smartphone, needs some way to add and edit our shared calendar, so that we can both enter and edit appointments.
Same goes for my parrents, that whants to be able to set appointments of when they want to pick up our son at the daycare.
All this is possible, and has been possible for ages with other online calendar systems, so why does apple take a step down the evolutionstaires by disabling such a great feature?
Though MobileMe was not perfect, it did infact make this possible as I remember, so why can't this be done in iCloud?
You can subscribe to CalDav on your i-device, but you can't share one with friends, in what world is that logic?
