Copies of old receipts

Got a new iphone this weekend, and one of the games I play (football manager) needs a copy of the original receipt for the game forwarded to them so they can (apparently) associate it with the new phone.
I, of course, don't have a copy of that receipt, and can't see how to find old information in support.... help?

If you didn't keep the email receipt that Apple sends you to the email address associated with your Apple ID, you can view your purchase history in the Account page in iTunes on your computer.

  • Can I get an old receipt?

I bought my iMac on 2008, It is in Venezuela right now and I want to bring it back to Canada. To do that, I have to present the receipt to the Venezuelan customs. How can I get that old receipt?
    Thank you.

Physically go to the offline AS & ask to speak w/the manager.  Explain your predicament.  It may also be helpful, if you also have the iMac's model & serial # handy.  You can get this info from System Profile.

Found the Itunes receipt but it is so old, there are no avenues to re-download the album.
Have updated all my Itunes and other software.

  • Slow computer after logicboard replacement/ any way to retrieve 18 month old receipts

I purchased a Macbook Pro in August of 2008 and have been generally pleased with it. About a month ago it stopped turning on so I brought it in to the Apple store. They claimed that the video card was fried and that they would need to replace the entire logic board. The computer has been out of warranty for a little while now so I was seriously debating shelling out the $330 to replace the logic board. The genius guy assured me that it would run like new once it was replaced so I went ahead and did it. When I got it back, I soon noticed that everything was running slower. Over the last month, the computer has gotten so slow its almost unusable, so I started snooping into the computer a little bit. I noticed that I had 2 gb of memory. I think I originally installed 4 gb of memory but I cant be sure. I checked for the receipt but its nowhere to be found. Not too surprising considering how long its been sicne I originally bought the computer. I looked up the standard specs on everymac.com and found that 2 gb was the baseline. I am pretty sure Ive upgraded the memory on every computer I've ever gotten which further deepens my suspicion.  Now, I dont know for sure if I actually had 4 gb of memory and I dont want to start ranting and raving at the apple store about how the evil repairmen stole 2 gb of memory from me if I am not sure. Does anyone know of a way to check what was originally in my computer? If it turns out im simply forgetful, does anyone have any ideas about the slow computer following logicboard replacement? A quick google search let me know that I am not the only one with this problem but didnt turn up much in the way of help. Thanks so much.

I have a lot of old photographs. I want to be able to scan them, touch them up and digitise them. I am a total novice at photo editing. What photoshop product is best suited to help me do this?
I am looking for something simple that has some functionality for re-sizing, improving etc. Does not have to be overly complicated of professional.

Photoshop Elements is a good program for this purpose.

  • Copy of old receipt

I made a purchase through BestBuy.com in 2009 and cannot find my receipt. I'd like to print a copy. I went to the Orders page on bestbuy.com and entered my order number, phone number and last name, but I got the message "Order Is Invalid". The process is further complicated by the fact that I no longer have the email address I used at the time. So I can't sign in and try from there.
I've called 888-bestbuy, they can see my order, but because it was a web purchase they cannot print a receipt for me.
Please help! Like I said, I do have the order number, phone number and last name used for the purchase.

    Hello derakus,
Welcome to the Best Buy forum, and thank you for posting.
The purchase history available on BestBuy.com only goes back two years, so you would not be able to find the order in-question even if you still had the older email address.  I would be more than happy to see if I can find the order you placed back in 2009 and provide you with a copy of the receipt, but I am going to need some additional information from you first.  To gather the information I need, I will be sending you a private message.  You can check your private messages by logging into the forum and clicking on the little envelope at the top of the page.
I hope you have a fantastic day!

  • How to request an old receipt

How do I request a receipt from 09/2008 (with MacBook serial #)

Is it for warranty purposes?  If so a reciept is not necessary, the age of the mac can be determined by the serial number.  If you need it for other reasons, I am unaware of how to get one for an Apple product past 18 months of age but I am not sure if you can or can not get one for a product that is older..  Did you purchase your MacBook from an Apple store or through their website?  If you bought it from an Apple store, I would try calling the store is was purchased from and ask.

  • I have a Vin, iMac 20 inch early 2008 . Can anyone tell me the now equivalent of this model? We had a housefire and I need to replace it new for old. I have a serial no. but cant find out which one would be the same model to replace it now.

I am trying to find out how to find the specs because the machine is my daughters and it is no longer useable but if I know where I can find its details from the serial no I can get it replaced new for old on the house insurance. Where can I find these details?

I lost equipment due to lightening strike several years ago, which also had old equipment and was not available. I gave insurance images and provided original receipts (my purchases were made on Apple.com), and Apple provided electronic copies of the receipts. You may want to contact Apple and check, if they can provide a copy. Insurance may depreciate the original value. I was offered residual value which i used to buy newer replacements, and provided the receipts for replacements back to insurance.

  • Query regarding "Library/Receipts" Folder

Is it me, or is this just copies of installed .pkg files? How neccessary is it to keep these?
    Just wondering...
    Thanks in advance,

I understand the need to retain some receipt packages
and the comment about disk space. But I just would
like to ask why it is considered necessary [if indeed
it is] to retain all the earlier receipts for an
update. For example, I have in my Receipts folder the
Update packages for the Combo Updates for OS X 10.4.2
thru 10.4.10. Why would I need all of these? Would it
not be necessary to retain just the last one so that
the next combo update [in this hypothetical example,
don't get into any argument about whether there will
be a next one] has the current package to which to
    refer?
Latter updates do not necessarily replace all files installed by previous updates. The 10.4.2 receipt probably has information for files that are not in the 10.4.10 receipt. If you do updates via Software Update, you need previous receipts. If you use the combos, it depends on how the combo updater works. If it just installs all its files without looking to see what updates have already been done, then the older receipts would not be needed. If it only installs what is needed, you would have to keep the old receipts. Of course, different combo updaters could use different methods, so it is safer to just keep them all.

  • /Library/Receipts does not contain *any* Apple app receipts?

Has Snow Leopard changed the way Apple Installers and Software Update handles receipts? Used to be if you installed an app like iLife (or any other app), there'd be one or more .pkg files in /Library/Receipts.
I've got a fresh install of Snow Leopard that does not show any .pkg receipts from any Apple-installed software, including iLife, iWork or Logic Studio. And I just updated the OS to 10.6.1 via Software Update along with iTunes 9, and still not a single .pkg file in Receipts. There's over 20 of them in there from Microsoft Office, though...
Has Apple changed the receipts procedure under Snow Leopard, or do I have a problem here?
Can anyone with a fresh, clean install (not an update or a migrate) of Snow Leopard take a look in their /Library/Receipts folder and tell me if there's anything in there from an Apple install? Any Apple install...?
Clean Snow Leopard installs only, please; update installs might have old receipts left over from 10.5 installs and old Software Updates.
    Thanks.

    baltwo wrote:
Those are blown away, starting with Leopard, vers 10.5.6, IIRC. They're initially downloaded into Updates, used, and then deleted. If you want to save them, don't install until you make copies. The pkgs that previously resided in Receipts were just markers and weren't the full installers. Alternatively, manually download and run them.
    Interesting, and thanks.
Get this: the new Software Update has done away with the menu option that allowed "Download Only". I guess they're trying to limit the distribution of their installers.

  • Changing G/L account assignment causes reposting of receipt

    Hi,
I had the requirement to change a G/L account to an new account as of this year.  I delimited the symbolic account assignment and created a new record.  Problem is, if I have to re-post an older trip, the old receipts repost to the new G/L account.  We do not want retro-postings due to this change.
I changed table view V_T706K - Symbolic account assignment with a new begin date and new symbolic account assignment.  Why does the Posting Run ignore the dates?

    Hi Kenneth,
As per my understanding if the tripu2019s dates are between the change dates then this problem can occur.
As per the configuration done (which you can see in expert view), system fetches the data depends on three basis.
    a.     As per trip first date
    b.     As per trip last date
    c.     As per receipt exact date
So in case if you create a trip of start date 15.01.2010 and  end date 16.01.2010 and insert a receipt of 21.01.2010, it can fetch the config data of new GL account as per config.
I believe you have delimited the settings. Do let me know for any query.
    Hope it helps you.
    Thanks,
    Vaibhav

  • How can I apply a new style with a snippet and make DW remove artifacts of the old style?

    Hello,
I am using Dreamweaver CS5 on Windows XP SP3. My problem seems simple but the resolution remains elusive.
Let's say I am editing pasted-in text from MS Word that DW has auto-formatted. I highlight some text and use a snippet to enclose the text in h2.
Instead of deleting the former style and replacing it with h2, DW applies the h2, but copies the old style, enclosing nothing, and bumps it to the next line. If the old style included a paragraph tag, that throws in extra white space. For nothing at all.
Now, this seems like a minor thing, but it's not so minor when you are trying to quickly prepare a large document with various header styles. Having to make dozens of edits that I think should be completely unnecessary becomes a real burden.
Is there a way to enclose a bit of text in a new style with a snippet without having the old style stick around?
Thanks for any and all replies!
    Michael Salmons

Maybe auto-format is not the correct terminology, but DW does interpret MS Word formatting in some way,and in a way I cannot control (well, I can to a limited degree). The term that popped into my head describing this process was automatic formatting.
I don't really want to paste in as text, then I have to touch everything. I mean, I do frequently end up touching everything in a document anyway, but if any decisions can be "automated," I like to at least give it a try.
DW makes mostly good guesses* about Word formatting (*or whatever mechanism translates word formatting to html in DW). Even if it is just a little wrong, it saves me a lot of time. <p><strong> can be converted to <h2> faster than text that only has a CRLF to distinguish it from surrounding text.
I'm not mixing any styles. I control the style absolutely. I would just like to know how to use snippets in a way that truly replaces the Word-suggested tags rather than preserving them for no good reason. Perhaps there is no way to do that, or I so fundamentally misunderstand snippets I am fooling myself.

  • How do you copy and paste track changes material in Pages from one point in a document to another and keep both the old text along with the track changed thus far in the new pasted location?

Depending on whether track changes is on/paused, Pages thinks the pasted material is either all new and thus highlights it as a big track change or just copies the old material along with the edits as plain text so that I cannot see my track changes. I need to be able to copy and paste in the same document and still be able to see the older text along with the changes to certain sections thus far. Is this possible? I need a step-by-step "talk to me like I'm five" instructional if what I would like can be done.
    Thanks for any help!

Are you sure you have the Table selected and not a cell or just contents?

  • Duplicate copies of apps in iTunes

When I connect my iPhone 3GS to my mini, the Apps tab displays the list of apps on the phone - but many of the apps are duplicated, i.e. there are two copies listed. Although in the past I've found that some of these duplicates are older versions of software that have not been deleted, now they seem to be all identical versions. On the iphone, only one version of all apps shows. So my question is - how did they end up there, how do I get rid of them, and how do I stop them reoccurring?

They may be apps for another platform, like an iPad app you downloaded. iTunes used to keep copies of old apps, but the latest iTunes will update your app and move the old version to the trash automatically.
The best place to check for duplicates is to select your Apps library in the iTunes source list (left sidebar). If you don't see your Apps library, go to iTunes > Preferences and put a checkmark next to "Show - Applications".
Select "View as List" in the View menu. Make sure a Version column is displayed. If you don't see a Version column, turn it on under View > View Options. You can also turn on the Kind column to see what kind of App it is.
Select the Name column to list your Apps by name and you should easily see what you have. If you find out of date duplicates, you can delete them, but verify what you deleted before you empty your trash.
