Coping the existing scenario in IR and ID

Hello every one,
thnak you every one, at last we have tested scenario(RFC, SOAP) in XI-Dev, message process is successful, 98% credit goes to SDN users,basically i don't know any thing about XI, I'm an abaper now i think i know some thing about XI, waw i have never seen such a super active forum, i thank every individual in XI forum, last but not least, i want to copy the existing scenario in XI Dev and back up existing scenario in PRD, if some thing happens i want to go back to old scenario in PRD, while coping the scenario, do i need to change all the interface names, could any one tell me how to copy the scenario in IR and ID.

Hi,
It is always prefer to take backup by exporting the Repository objects and the directory objects..
If you observe, you can see these imported objects in the imported folder-->import files directory..i.e after successful import, all files will be stored in that directory..
Anyway you can take up the back again with export functionality..
If you want to copy Repository objects , then you need to copy one-by-one.. Need to copy all individual objects for the different SWC/Namespace.. Lots of conflicts may occur, like message type will refer old namespace etc,,

You can absolutely change the member names.
Are you concerned about the impact on data loads, formulas, calcs, etc?
An easy way to have your cake and eat it too is to assign an alias to the member so that Budget now becomes Budget with an alias of Fcst_Budget. Whatever artifacts refer to the old name continue to do so and from a reporting perspective you reference the alias.
Or you can reverse it so that the member name now becomes Fcst_Budget and the alias is Budget.
Your choice, but I think the former is what you want.

Get "Creation Script" of the existing table ( in SQL database) using C# and without using SMO dlls

I need to get the "Creation Script" of the existing table using c# and without using SMO dlls (is it possible? I don't know).
I.e. In SQL Management Studio -> right click on any table -> Script table as -> Create To - > open in the new query editor window. This will give you the schema of the table with the constraints of the table.
For E.g. In Northwind database, for the table "Categories", I would like to get it as show below

SMO is the easiest way to get this. This is what Management Studio uses. If you can't use SMO, get a Profiler trace of the queries that SMO executes when generating the script and execute the same using ADO.NET.

Using existing UOM (of itab) and the UOM in MARA

Hello Everybody,
I am using CALL FUNCTION 'MD_CONVERT_MATERIAL_UNIT' for conversion.
Factor may or may not have been maintained for the values we have.
I do not have an Alternate UOM. To calculate the conversion factor do I require AUOM or can I use the existing UOM in records and the UOM in MARA?

Every material has base unit of measure.It may or may not have alternate unit of measure depending upon the requirement.And if any alternate unit is defined for that material, it is mandatory to have the conversion factor.
For ex. Base unit - EA (Each)
Sales/Alternate unit - BOX
Conversion factor = 1 BOX = 10 EA
If no alternate unit is mentioned, the sales unit is considered same as base unit.In this case where no alternate unit is maintained for the material, we dont need the conversion.
The FM will give following error message 'There is no conversion factor for material'.

Export scenarios from XI and import them into PI

Dear experts
We are planning to upgrade our exitsting XI 3.0 to PI7.0.
Due to system requeriments, we need to install PI on new hardware and migrate all the existing scenario's from XI 3.0 PI7.'0
How to migrate the existing ABAP developements from XI to PI ?
It's possible to export scenarios from XI and import them into PI?

Hi,
you should go to PI 7.1 and not PI 7.0 otherwise it makes not so much sense.
And yes it's possible to migrate your scenarios. If you have UDFs you have to check them because the java version has changed.

SRM to MDM Scenario -- Unable to Edit the Integration Scenario

Hi Experts,
I'm doing a scenario in XI/PI from SRM to MDM.
I had downloaded all the related content from service market place and also established SLD connections as well.
When I'm trying to import the Integration Scenario from Integration Repository to Integration Directory I'm getting the follwing error.
Software component version with GUID 77891250-7da4-11d8-b240-e6890a114c15
does not exist (SWC_NOT_EXIST)
I'm unable to edit the integration scenario in IR even with PISUPER credentials which have all the access.
I'm also unable to edit any of the other objects as well (e.g.,Message Interface,Interface Mapping etc.,)

I have created a copy and now able to edit the Integration Scenario.
But again a new problem came up.
Now after editing the predefined scenario which has only SRM 5.0 and SRM 7.0
I need to add SRM 7.0 application component here in this Integration scenario and this was done successfully.
Now i need to add one send action and this send action is present in the SWC SRM SERVER IC 7.0.
I had downloaded the SRM SERVER IC 7.0 content already and I'm able to see in Integration Repository also.
But this SWC is not present in the application component SAP SRM (WITH SAP EBP) 7.0.
Please let me know what to do now inorder to add this send action in that application component.

Check the FM being used for inbound posting for your message type. See if there is a user exit available for you to update data contained in the IDoc.
If there isn't any, then you might have make a copy of the existing inbound processing FM and modify code to address your requirements. This will involve setting up your Z* FM for inbound posting (rather than system's standard FM) through configuration. Pushing out msi to clients doesnt upgrade existing version in "Programs and Features" win7 64

I have created a Firefox msi and when I push it out to my network clients it doesn't seem to upgrade the existing version in "Programs and Features". Is there a switch I can add to manually remove a previous version or upgrade? If i remove the previous version in "Programs and Features" there is still the latest version in "Programs and Features", the previous version uninstalls the executable but leaves the Mozilla folder with some files until I also remove the latest version with "Programs and Features". Basically if I install Firefox 29 on the client, then install Firefox 30 via MSI, "Programs and Features" shows both versions installed, but both versions share the same folder location and executable?

There is no msi generated by Mozilla. This will have to to do with the installation configuration. Does it overwrite? Does it not? Overwritting will remove all existing profiles. However updating may not, but this is not something that I am an expert in. You can also try the enterprise mailing list that works with 24esr.

How to delete the existing webservice?

I have created a RFC function module and made it as webservice. Later I made few changes to the function module and exposed as new webservice. Now I want to delete the old webservice or deactivate the old webservice. How can I do it ? or is there any way that if I do any changes to the RFC function module it will also reflect the changes to the webservice?

Make sure you are updating your phone the correct way, by connecting to iTunes and clicking Check for Updates on the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings. Do not try to download the firmware file from the internet first. Also be sure iTunes is up to date before updating.

If I go through the setup that you suggested, won't I screw up the existing software on my system?
No. The iTunes installer will first uninstall the existing version of iTunes and then put in the new one. (That's actually also what happens when you use Apple Software Update to install a new version ... it just doesn't show the uninstall phase like the iTunes64Setup.exe or iTunesSetup.exe does.)

JDBC Scenario: Delete all the existing records and Insert

Scenario: IDoc to JDBC
PI need to delete all the existing records in the SQL table then need to insert the records.I have created a two statements in the target structure.
Statement1
   -> TableName
       -> action : DELETE
       -> Table : TableName
Statement2
   -> TableName
       -> action : INSERT
       -> Table : TableName
       ->Access
           -> Elements
I am getting below error while try to delete the records in the table.
JDBC message processing failed; reason Error processing request in sax parser: Error when executing statement for table/stored proc. 'Tablename' (structure 'Statement1'): java.sql.SQLException: FATAL ERROR document format: structure 'Statement1', no key element found
Note: we use above structure in the another interface without specifying any Key for Delete operation(Server is same but different database for this two interface) and it works fine. Although the Primary keys has been set in the SQL table i am getting the above error.
let me know what are the setting need to make in PI and SQL DB to achieve this.

The straucture what you have deined for Delete is not correct, you should have key field in statement structure then only you can perform Delete operation.
