Copy a cd to a blank cd

Is there an easy way to do this with the regular mac software or is it easier to buy a product that does this? Recommendations? I found the disk utility confusing at best.

As Ned said, you can use the Disk Utility. Select your CD from the Disk Utility after you've put it into the Mac, from there, hit the "+New Image" button. You'll be asked where to save it. The Mac will read from the CD and create a new disk image from the CD. It is not necessary to change the default settings for a disk copying procedure.
Afterward, the disk image will be selectable from the Disk Utility. Eject your original CD and place in a CD-R or CD-RW. Select your new disk image and choose "Burn CD." It will burn a copy of your CD. You can do this with about any disc.

How did you open the new document? What Image mode is the document in and what exactly did you copy to the clipboard? What was the current Photoshop target when you did the copy? Was it a straight copy or a copy merge etc...

Missing images and not able to use copy and paste anymore - just blank rect

I've a problem that really scares me.
I use severall png and pdf images. But at one point keynote looses the media and just displays these grey rectangles instead of some images. I tried to figure out if it just happens with pdf images and replaced the missing pdf images through png24 images with transparency. It first worked fine (they showed up) and then it tells images can not be saved. If I open the presentation again, the images are missing. And it seems that the more images and slides i put in the presentation, the more images are missing…
But there is more: I even can't copy and paste these images anymore. If I try to copy one of the images I just have replaced (because they have been lost by saving), it just pastes the blank grey rectangle instead of the image.
This really is a problem because I now have to repetitive tasks (like same animation for the same image in the same size) over and over again. And when I save the doc – they are al gone again…
It really scares me and I don't have an idea how to solve this.
It also happens, if I repleace an pdf image with an png image and than try to copy this new png image. However I am able to drag the image from the Finder again.
I am working on a PB G4, 1.5 GHz, 1 GB RAM.
My Keynote Version is 3.0.2.
The Keynote Dokument is saved and opened from a G4 X-Serve wich is only used by Macs (so no Windows Filesystem anywhere). I still have anough space on both, my local and the server volume. I don't transfer the Keynote document. So it should not be a problem with the names on the files… And the files are just exported from Adobe Illustrator (png 24 files with "save for web" and the pdf files are saved as Illustrator pdf) – so they should really be fine and not corrupted…
At this time the Keynote document has a size of 179 MB (because of a video) and only 16 slides. And the theme was built from scratch – so no import from Powerpoint or so…
I looked through the Keynote preferences and found a thing like (sorry self-translated from german version to english) "scale placed images to slide-size". I wondered if keynote saves a copy of the sacaled image after that and corrupts the image itself? But I don't think so.
I've had these problems with earlier versions of Keynote, but it occured just sporadically and I could solve it through pasting it again. But this time I can not solfe it anymore.
Does anybody encounter same problem? Or has a hint?
I really would appreciate, because I have to finish the presentation very soon and are not able to work properly with that. Furthermore, I am scared of saving and opinging the presentation again, because the lost files can not be replaced…

I now have a hint:
As a colleague said, he encountered some problems with usagerights on our fileserver (XServe). He said he wasn't able to read files he put on the server himself again…
If this is true, the same could have happened to Keynote for placed images, as Keynote writes these images as separate files in the doc package…
I will try to work on my local volume and see if it solfes the problem.
But sooner or later I will have to place the whole thing on the server again…
Do you think this is the reason?

Apologies for the empty download page. Something is wrong with the website.
Fortunately, there is an easier way to install the evaluation copy of JHeadstart:
* Open JDeveloper
* Go to Help - Check for Updates
* Select all available Update Centers
* When you see the results list, go to the search box on top and type JHeadstart
* Select the JHeadstart extension and install it
Information about (among other things) the limitations of the evaluation copy can be found at http://blogs.oracle.com/jheadstart/2010/04/jheadstart_11g_evaluation_vers.html
Unfortunately, that website is experiencing problems right now, but we hope it is back online soon.

Adobe Reader X copy image to word display blank

When select and copy to word some time not working.

Sorry for the late response!
The users had a habit of going into the printer properties to specify other printer options eg. 2-sided printing, manual feed printing, heavy paper, etc... besides the number of copies inside the printer properties as well. Therefore, they prefer to do all the various changes in the printer properties instead of changing it at the Adobe Reader dialog.
The same method were applied by all the users in Adobe Reader 9.4.7 and there were perfectly no issue at all! All the network printers (23 different brands and models in the network) responded to the printer properties "number of copies" accordingly.
It seems that Adobe Reader X dialog Page Handling: No of copies, cannot synchronise and recognise the "No of copies" specified in the printer properties. This symptom was tested and found to be the same behaviour for different printer manufacturers. Wonder if there is a bug with Adobe Reader X as this issue did not occur for Adobe Reader 8 and 9 versions. The users were using Reader 8 and 9 versions before and there were no complaints until it was eventually all upgraded to Reader X, starting from 10.0.1, 10.1.0 and now 10.1.2.
What do you think could be the cause?

Copying data from a web page into Numbers

I frequently use a Keyword Density Analysis Tool on the web that displays three columns and perhaps 50 to 100 rows of data. There is no export or save to csv, so I just highlight the three columns, copy and paste into a blank Excel spreadsheet - and hey presto, I get three columns of data. that I can sort and analyse. When I do the same with Numbers I get three columns but all the data ends up in three rows - please see attached. Is there a simple way around this because I am trying to stop using Excel? The only way I was able to reproduce what you described is to run the script after copying a picture.
Here is a refined version.
It make two attempts to grab text items from the clipboard.
If both failed, it send an error message.

New hp envy all in one printer shows a blank page after scanning

I just went through this problem with my old printer and hp sent me a refurbished (new) one. I go to scan something into my computer and it won't scan. It shows a blank page on preview. I checked the settings and they all seem to be right. I am not wanting to spend 3 hours with support and another 3 weeks to get a new printer. Can you help me?

Please check the copying function. Is that blank.
If the printer is copying blank there could be something else wrong with the Envy 120
We have had reports of pages being placed upside down.
The Envy 120 scans with the original facing up.

Why do objects get bigger when I copy and paste from one Keynote document to another?

I have 2 keynote presentation files open. I select some objects on one slide, apple-C to copy, go over to a blank slide in another file, and apple-V to paste. The item(s) get pasted but are much bigger - they take up way more of the new slide than they did for the old one. What am I missing? Why can't I copy it with the same relative size it used to have?

Chances are that small file used to be a PowerPoint file - PowerPoint deals in inches instead of pixels (which blows my mind).
I would first convert the smaller file to a larger resolution - that should keep most of the scaling intact - and then copy and paste. In my opinion you'll probably have to re-polish your presentation once you've changed the resolution as some things will probably be a bit wonky.

Download and install the free software ImgBurn.
The easiest way to then copy a Disc to a blank Disc is as follows.
1. Create a Disc Image file of the CD/DVD you wish to copy on your PC - a guide to doing this is Here.
2. Write this Disc Image to your blank CD/DVD - a guide to this is Here.

Moving and copying selections - taking out a back drop

I want to take out a photo of lady in Chapter Moving and copying selections.....in a family photo - please

Try this in order to transfer a person from one picture to another
In Editor, go to the expert tab.
Open picture B, the one you wish to select something from to add to another picture.
Use one of the selection tools, e.g. selection brush, lasso tool, to select the object. You will see an outline ("marching ants") once the selection is complete
Go to Edit menu>copy to copy the selection to the clipboard
Open picture A, then go to Edit>paste
Use the move tool to position object from picture B.
In the layers palette you should see picture A as the background layer, and object B on a separate layer.
If you want to "remove" someone from a group shot, select something else from an adjacent area on the picture or from another picture, then copy/paste it on a blank layer at the top and position it with the move tool to cover over
For additional guidance, it would help if you post the picture and tell us precisely what you wish accomplish.

Can't copy background for grayscale manipulation

I have several grayscale scans of old black-and-white photographs in tif format. I want to improve the image quality, and the tutorial I found involves creating duplicate layers containing the original image, placing them on top of the original image, and making some changes in the added layers. I assumed I could simply copy the original and paste to create a new layer. Photoshop lets me select all but copy is grayed out. I suspect the problem is that when I started this project, I opened Photoshop, the opened the scan and saved the result as a psd. Photoshop now regards the image as a background, and apparently forbids copying a background? I tried creating a new blank psd with the same dimensions as the scanned photo, thinking I could copy the scan into the blank psd and thus create a new layer. But once again when I opened the tif, the copy option was grayed out. Seems like such a simple problem but I haven't found an answer anywhere I looked.

Under Image > Mode, Grayscale is checked.
If I right click on the Background layer, all the options that come up are grayed out. If I use the small arrow at top right of the Layers palette, everything is grayed out except Dock To Palette Wall and Palette Options. If I go to Layer in the menu bar, all options are grayed out. The image appears to be locked. I Googled how to unlock a Photoshop image, and the advice was to rename the image. Photoshop won't let me do that either.
This is really, really odd. I'm not a heavy Photoshop user, but I seem to remember doing this often in the past without any problem.

Help. put new cartridge in 309g printer no i just get blank sheets

hi this is driving me nuts. my printing became very pale and patchy. new cartridge needed.
off i trooped to pc world and got new cartridges. (took out a mortgage first ..what a price!!!) so far i have been all through troubleshooting used loads of coloured ink and paer..yeah thanks hp!!!! make a lot of money on cartridges do ya??
end result is i send doc to printer. it all goes ok. printer chunters away out comes paper ..nothing printed.
if i do a print head check i get all the colours bar black.
yes the cartridge is in and located.
so why wont it print???

Try to make a copy first? copy is a standalone feature of your printer that doesn't need a driver from your pc to work.
when you say nothing printer, do you mean the paper goes into the printer and comes out blank? or no paper that is fed at all?
if you're still unable to make a copy as it comes out blank, then try to perform CLEAN CARTRIDGE and ALIGN PRINTER from the printer itself or you can do it from the solution center installed on your computer. Solution center >> Settings>> printer toolbox

How to Copy a DVD on HP TouchSmart 300 desktop

I have a HP TouchSmart300 desktop. Is there a program that comes with the computer that will copy a DVD. Not trying to copy a protected DVD. I am use to using Roxio and Nero on my old laptop, but have not had success trying to do this on this new computer. Would appreciate help. cm

Copy control fields

When we configure copy controls we have a field "COPY QUANTITY" this is left blank when copying from sales order to another sales order, from QT to OR we make +ve and from contract to Return we make it -ve. Can anybody explain me the logic behind this. How is this field useful?
Also in copy controls there is a field called "Copy product selection"can body explain me the functionality of this field.

Positive/Negative quantity: 
Quantity is calculated positively or negatively.
It indicates during copying the quantity or value in the target documents has a negative or positive or no effect at all. The quantity still to be completed in the source document.
Use: System uses this indicator to determines how the quantity in the source document is effected
Ex: If you create pieces and raised the sales order for 80 items, then quotation has a positive effect, that means 80 pieces of the quotation treated as completed and 20 pieces of the quota ion rated as remained to be completed.
In sales document:
Quotation          Sales order     : positive
Contract          Returns             : Negative
Sales order          Sales order        : No effect
In billing document:
Delivery               Invoice          : positive
Delivery               Cancellation     : Negative
Delivery               Pro- forma invoice: No effect
Copying quantity:
It determines the quantity that is copied to the target document. If you leave this field then system tries to copy the best possible quantity depending on situation.
Ex: System copies open quantity if it is from quotation to order
System copies completed quantity if it is billing to credit memo
Copy product selection:
It specifies whether system automatically copies the result of the product selection from the source document to target document. If you want to copy the results of product selection from source document to target document mark this field.
If you want to re-run product selection in the target document leave this field
