Copy all incoming and outgoing mail to an additional mailbox

Is there a means to copy all incoming and outgoing email through the Apple Mail server to one inbox? As an example, Bob sends and email to Jeff and receives a reply. I want a copy of each of those emails to, say, [email protected] Is there a means within the server config or some other method to accomplish this?

Help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

  • How to save all incoming and outgoing mail

I run a Leopard server with 10 email clients that I want to be able to save the incoming and outgoing messages from. I could have sworn that under Tiger, I had the catchall working to include both incoming and outgoing mail to [email protected]
However, under Leopard the catchall seems to grab only the incoming emails? Is there a way to do this? or - is there a better way I SHOULD be doing this. Basically I need both a record of emails for liability issues and the ability to access them easily (this was made convenient by using webamil to login and read as needed).
    Thanks!

  • No sound for incoming and outgoing mail

I have a Macbook Pro Retina with the latest OS.  I can't get sounds to work for incoming and outgoing mail.  Can anyone tell me how to correct this?  On my old computer I used to get a ting sound for incoming mail and a whoosh sound for outgoing mail.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
    Kathy Nelson

I noticed I actually was not getting all of my mail sounds either, I recently wiped my HD and reimported my account and found my mail was all messed up, so I backed up all my mail, deleted all of the accounts and then set them back up and all sounds are back.
Try creating a second account on your device and see if the sounds work in mail there?

  • HT201320 What is incoming and outgoing mail server and server port number

What is incoming and outgoing mail server and server port number

    See applenerd504 previous reply:
These specifications that allow you to send and receive messages on your iPhone. If you are using iCloud Mail, Gmail, or another service listed in the selector in settings, they should be automatically configured. If not, you may need to look up certain numbers for your email service.
Putting it in slightly different terms:
If you are using a web-mail system like gmail (with a gmail email address) all the mail sending, receiving and management is done on Google servers. In these cases you will only need to have a working internet connection to be able to log in to the service to access its data.
Supplying mail sever names and port numbers should only be needed if you are using a traditional (non-web) email account where you are accessing the mail servers directly. This would be typical for a email account set up by someone like your ISP (Internet Service Provider), in these cases you will have to ask them for the appropriate settings.

  • Hotmail and Yahoo Incoming and Outgoing Mail Servers

Does anyone know what the incoming and outgoing mail servers are for hotmail and yahoo? I'm trying to put them into my mail account, and can't seem to figure out which one (pop or imap) to use.
    Thank you!
    -Kat

If you are not using the paid (plus) accounts for Yahoo and Hotmail, they do not support access through email client applications like Mail, etc.
For Hotmail, you may have success with the HttpMail Plugin if your account is old enough.
For Yahoo-and Hotmail if it doesn't work with the plugin-you can use MacFreePOPs.

What is incoming and outgoing mail server on adding a new emial account???

The servers your email provider uses to route incoming and outgoing messages to and from email accounts.  If you are trying to set up and email account on your phone you need to get the required information for these settings from your email provider.

  • How to change my password and my incoming and outgoing mail servers

Hi I have used Outlook Express for years and I know how to configure "everything" I need within the settings pages because their settings pages are all "logical" with everything out in the open.
However, Thunderbird "hides" their settings behind buttons and confusing screens.
There are many tutorials that explain how to set up Thunderbird from the beginning, and show how to set up a new email account. But I have not been able to find a tutorial on how to change my email account password "after" I have been using Thunderbird for awhile.
I also see no way to change the incoming and outgoing servers. For example, I have changed from one hosting company to another hosting company and I need to use the new mail servers from the new hosting company and I do not see any tutorials anyplace that cover ongoing or day-to-day activities with Thunderbird.
Can you please change your settings screens to make Thunderbird easier for new people to find these normal and necessary items?
Also can you please point me to a tutorial that shows me how to change my email account password and change my incoming and outgoing servers?
    Thanks so much!
    Edward

If you wan to create an account, you must the delete the existing account.
So take backup of your emails if your using POP3
Two ways you can do it
*Copy all the emails to Local folder
*Back up your Mail folder from your profile

  • Help with Rules to Copy all Sent and Received Mail

    Friends:
    1. I have created a rule to copy all sent mail to a folder as follows:
mail>prefs>rules>add rule>description:All Sent Mail>To Contains @>Coppy Message to All Sent Mail folder
Is there a better way to do this?
    2. Similarly I tried the above for a folder "All Received Mail" replacing "To" to "From" but it doesn't work. What is a good way to copy all sent mail?
    Thanks amigos,
    Migs

    I have been using
If Any Account is <Account in question> then Copy message to <local archive folder>
It has its quirks (I have it as the last rule in the list) but for the most part is sort of working to make copies of incoming mails.
It does not copy outgoing mails.
It would be nice if Mail offered some sort of "copy on send, copy on receive" functionality in the preferences for those of us who don't trust the "cloud" to not reach into our computers and delete our mail (as happened when our IMAP server ran out of disk space once).

  • Need help: Using Axis, how to log all incoming and outgoing soap messages??

    Hi all,
I have a big problem which probably got a simple solution:
I need to log all incoming messages, and all outgoing messages (request - response).
I do not want any other information than this. I have tested the log4j and all I get is a LOT of debug information but not the messages as the arrive/leave the system.
Please help me with this since it is a big problem for me that I cant debug my applications in the way I want...

I would preffer not to use the tcpmonitor on my server, dont want to change ports, etc.. I want a better solution which I can choose myself when to use, and that can directly log to my log-database...
Sorry but tcpmonitor is not a solution here, even though it is a good monitor program

  • Problems with incoming and outgoing mail

I've read a number of posts on this topic, yet none completely matches the problems I'm having.
    Incoming Mail:
My incoming e-mail is a pop account hosted by Earthlink. I am able to enter my data and get mail using a non wi-fi network.
    Outgoing Mail:
When I use the generic AT&T outgoing server, it works, but then I am unable to get mail, and vice-versa. (I tried sending mail through the general web hosting server that Earthlink recommended (and works on my laptop when traveling away from home network, but it just spins.)
    Conflict:
I am either able to send mail or receive mail, not both at once, thank-you-very-much.
The settings and ports are unchanged. And, I can't figure out why one would affect the other considering they are two completely different settings.
We're currently trying to set up a smtp.com or Google mail account, which is okay, but I would much rather solve this without any more links in the chain.
Any suggestions? Will re-setting my iPhone completely help?

Yes, thanks, was my first stop and very handy.
Unfortunately, because my pop account is hosted/relayed at Earthlink, it did not identify the account as it would a stand-alone service. I tried using the basic Earthlink account info, but of course, my basic account does not have anything to do with my current business pop account. So after using the set-up assistant, I was back at square one.
I was able to set up smtp.com successfully and am up and running.
I just can't figure out why one setting would mess up another.

  • Mail - Incoming and Outgoing Mail Activity

Hi all, I have a peculiar issue, when sending and receiving mail the status bar often indicates more mail coming and going than I'm actually sending or receiving. For example I sent a single email this morning, on sending the status bar indicated I was sending 6 emails ! any ideas ?

this is very common and is nothing to worry about. it's just mail syncing between your computer and Mail server.
