Copy alphabetically sorted items from Finder yet pastes them UNSORTED!!!

This is weird, but if I copy some items from the Finder in list or column view (they show alphabetically sorted), they paste UNSORTED on Eudora or Word 2004, for instance. How to fix it, so that they are pasted also alphabetically sorted (A to Z)? Thanks.

Can you access in on icloud.com and delete the event? If not, and force-quitting didn't help, try going to System Preferences>iCloud, uncheck Calendars, choose Delete from Mac when prompted (they will still be in iCloud), then restart your Mac and go back and check Calendars again.

Can't copy text or images from webpages and paste into word documents or notepad

Today suddenly I cannot copy text or images from webpages (I tried many different ones) and paste into my word 2010 document or notepad. What can I do to get this ability back. Yesterday it worked fine. It does not appear to be a problem with word or notepad so I have to assume it is a problem with Firefox

Copying of Service items from contract into Purchase order

Dear Friends,
We have upgraded from 4.6B to ECC6.
Previously when we create Purchase Order with reference to Contract(i.e.Release order),we select service line items by selecting service selection button from PO and select the service line items from Contract,then whatever the line item whether line item 30,or line item 60 copied from Contract is copied into line item 10 of Purchase order in 4.6B version.
But in ECC6 ,it is copied into other line item but not copied into line item 10 of purchase order.
Please suggest ,what needs to be done, what went wrong.

Pl. elaborate whether the quantity 1 is appearing at Item Overview level or at Item Details level. At the item overview level the quantity will aleays be 1 with unit of measure as AU. At item details, you will be able to view the actual quantity of services copied from contract.

How do I remove an item from the Finder Menu? I have the clock, airport-thingy, and power info. There is also a character palette item. displayed as an american flag. How do I remove the character palette item from the menu?

Lost unknown item from Finder sidebar

Hi,
I just accidentally deleted an item from the Finder sidebar, under the "Devices" section. I don't know what it was but I think it may be important. Is there any way to find out?

Hi.
Don't fret too much about it. The Finder Sidebar is just one way to access items on your Mac. Items can be added and removed from the sidebar all day, but they still reside on your hard drive.
To see how it works in 10.8 (not sure about 10.6) select an item, a file on your desktop for example and press ⌘T. The item should now display on the sidebar.
To remove a sidebar item, press ⌘ while you drag the item from the sidebar and it will disappear in a puff of smoke.

Problem sorting items in finder window

I've searched other posts and seen that others are having similar issues however, I can't a solution to my problem.
In a finder window in list view, in the upper part of the window, I have Name, Date Modified, Size and Kind. Before I upgraded to Mavericks, I could click any of those options and the window would sort accordingly. Now, if I want to sort a window, I have to open the view options and do it that way. The weird thing is, I have a RAID connected via esata and it works like it should on any window I open from that drive. Any suggestions?

Might be corrupted Finder preferences.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following:
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
Click Go then move the com.apple.finder.plist file to the Trash.
Restart your Mac then try the Finder.

Can't copy files to iDisk from Finder

Good Day,
I am trying to copy a file from my desktop to my iDisk. I have shown my iDisk in the Finder Prefs. I have also done Go->iDisk->My iDisk. The iDisk folder shows in the finder with several folders inside it (none of which I created).
I DO NOT have iDisk sync on.
When I drag a file from the desktop to the iDisk (10k png file) it takes about 40 seconds to complete the copy. Then the file shows up as a Zero KB file on the iDisk. I have tried several file types and sizes, nothing will copy.
The Zero Byte files show up in the Mobile Me web interface and are Zero Bytes there as well.

Yes, you should be able to, just stay out of the special folders.
It will take a while to copy things, of course, but you should be able to just drag things into, say, the Desktop folder there, as you would any other file.
It does sometimes take a few seconds for the copy to complete, and the actual size to show up.
Try a small test document, say one made with Text Edit.

Removing items from Finder sidebar

I have folders and documents in finder sidebar, which I cannot remove. They do not disappear in a puff of smoke. They just zap back to where they were. This includes a now empty folder. Any thoughts?

If you have installed Developer Tools on your Mac then you can delete individual aliases in the Finder sidebar, using Property List Editor, which you'll find in Developer > Applications > Utilities.
In your Home folder go to User > Library > Preferences > com.apple.sidebarlists.plist
Control-right click and choose Open With > Property List Editor.
Scroll down to "useritems" and click the grey arrow next to it to reveal contents.
Click the arrow next to CustomListItems and you'll see a list of entries marked "Item" with a numeric suffix.
Click the grey arrow next to the Item whose number corresponds to the sidebar alias that you want to get rid of and you'll see the info associated with that entry, including its name, as seen in the sidebar.
If it's the right one, click again on the Item header (i.e. "Item x") and hit delete.
Quit Property List Editor and Save changes.
Quit and relaunch Finder and the Item you've just deleted will be gone from the sidebar list.
(Note: if you haven't already installed Developer Tools then you'll find it in the Optional Installs folder on your MacOS X installer DVD.)

Copy huge list items from one list to another sharepoint 2013

I have a huge list ( about 10,000 items with Attachments). i want to create a copy of the list programatically. i have tried by taking a save as template the list & then create a list with that template. however this took a huge time. i have also tried
same in PowerShell this also take same time.

Removing item from Finder Toolbar?

I inadvertently dragged a file to my finder toolbar where it is now stuck? I cannot drag it off or use and command or option key to drag it off? What am I missing here, it did it get corrupted in some manner?

1. Right Click on the toolbar and click Customize Toolbar.
2. Drag that folder icon out of toolbar out as like you remove any icon app from dock with puff sound
3. Done!

How to remove MULTIPLE sidebar items from finder?

I accidentally dragged about 1,000 folders into my finder sidbar. Crap. I'd really like to get rid of them quickly and not have to drag them out one at a time. Any ideas? I tried trashing the com.apple.sidebarlists.plist but it didn't do the trick.

I have Path Finder installed and it turns out that the Path Finder plist was also storing the sidebar items. If I just trashed the finder and sidebar plists, the Path Finder plist would automatically repopulate the items. Trashing all three plists at the same time with Path Finder closed then relaunching Finder solved the issue!

Removing items from desktop without deleting them from computer?

is there a way that i can remove things from my desktop without having to move them to the trash? i just don't like how they look on the desktop (they're covering my background) and i just want them out of there, but do not want to delete them entirely.

What are these THINGS? Best way to stop THINGS from being placed on the desktop is to stop putting THINGS there.
Files you create should go in folders in either your Documents folder or the respective folders under your username folder, Music, Pictures and the like. There are already folders in your Username folder for those THINGS.
If these THINGS are icons for drives then you can't move them but you can turn off showing them on the desktop.

How can I copy cookies about some web site and paste them into a program's header?

You may know the programme called Teleport Ultra which allows us to download an entire web site and browse offline. There is a forum I want to download but it doesn't allow to see the pages without logging in. So I want to take the cookies after I log in to site, and put them to the programme. How can I do?

How to copy line items from one expense report to the next

I travel to the same project/destination every week so in PR05, I was able to just copy the previous expense report for the new week and edit the expense values. Now, when I book travel, the air line booking starts a new expense report entry.
Is there a way to copy the employee-paid expenses to the GetThere-generated trip entry expense report, i.e. just copy the line items from one expense report to another that already exists. I guess that would be a merge function.

Here are two alternative solutions:
Alternative 1:
If you copy the expense report before you book the services (flight, hotel …)
in GetThere, then the airline or hotel bookings will not start a new expense
report but will be assigned to the copied expense report.
Alternative 2:
This alternative is a bit laborious.
Shift the start date and end date of the expense
report that was automatically created by
your flight booking for next week (e.g. Calendar Week (CW) 47) to the week after next week (e.g. CW 48).
Copy the expense report of the previous week (e.g.
46)
Afterwards open the expense report that you
moved to CW 48 and click on the tab strip itinerary
Now assign the bookings (flight, hotel …) to the
expense report of CW 47 by clicking on the button assign to existing trip
Later delete the expense report in CW 48
Get back to me if you have any questions concerning the alternatives outlined
above.
Note:
These solution alternatives are only available for customes using HTML5 UIs.
