Copy an existing condition record

Hi experts!
Kindly let me know the steps to copy an existing condition type to a new one and assigning the new one to a pricing scheme.
Thanks
Vineeta

Hi,
transaction vofm.
menu...conditions/pricing.
If you overwrite an existing number, the system will automaticly copy it to the new one. You need an object key for this.
Don´t forget to run report RV80HGEN, after you set it into customizing and want to use it.

    Hi,

You can create with reference with Tcode : VK14 (or VK34)
Or in VK12, you can copy condition records with copy rules.

  • Coprying rule-Pricing Condition records

    Hi,
When copying the condition records, it gave the message "*Copying is incomplete because no rules have been defined."Can anybody pls. guide as to how to define copying rule for pricing condition.
    Regards

    Prerequisites for Copying
The following general prerequisites apply to copying condition records:
If the condition tables differ between the source and target condition records, then:
Only one field may differ between the two condition tables
The condition tables must contain the same number of fields
If the condition types differ between the source and target condition records, then each condition type must have the same calculation rule, scale type, condition class, and plus/minus indicator.
    Copying Rules
Copying rules determine which condition types and condition tables you can use for copying between source and target condition records. The rules are defined in Customizing for Sales and must meet the prerequisites listed above. The standard R/3 System contains standard copying rules. If required, your system administrator can modify the standard copying rules or add new ones to meet your requirements. During processing, you can select from alternative copying rules, depending on what you are trying to copy.
    Examples of Different Copying Scenarios
The following three scenarios describe how you can copy condition records.
Scenario 1: Same condition types/same condition tables
You offer a special discount to a particular price group (a group of customers defined in the customer master record). You want to make this discount available to other price groups by copying pricing details from the existing record. In this type of copying, the condition types (K020) and the condition tables (table 20) are identical for both source and target condition records. The only thing that varies in this case is the value of one of the key fields (the Price group field).
Scenario 2: Same condition types/different condition tables
The access sequences for a particular condition type can be defined in Customizing for Sales so that it accesses more than one condition table. This means condition records with the same condition type can have different keys. You can also copy condition records where the condition type is the same but the condition tables are different. Say you offer a material-specific discount to a particular price group (condition type K032, condition table 32). You can copy this material discount and create a new condition record for a specific customer (condition type K032, condition table 5).
Scenario 3: Different condition types/different condition tables
You can also copy condition records even when both condition types and condition tables are different. Say you offer a special discount to a particular price group (condition type K020, condition table 20) as you did in the first scenario. Here, however, you want to copy this condition record not to another price group but to a new customer-specific discount (condition type K007, condition table 7). In this case, both condition types and condition tables are different.
    Copying Process
You can call up the copy function from the Edit menu in any of the following condition record screens:
    Creating
    Creating with reference
    Changing
    Overview
There are several typical scenarios for using the copying function. You may want to copy an existing condition record into a number of new condition records. In this case, you use the change condition record function. Alternatively, you may want to create a new condition record and copy it to other records all in one step. In this case, you use the create condition record function. In both cases, you can change the copied data before you save the new condition records.
    Note:
If the existing rules not suited to ur requirment , u have to contact Abapers to write the routines for ur requirement.
    Hope it is useful

  • Client copy & condition records: Printing from QA system to production

    Hi,
We have the following problem: When production system is copied to quality assurance system (full system copy / client copy), also the condition records are copied. This means that when e.g. a sales order is printed in QA system, this printout goes to a business printer by default. This is a matter which is definitively annoying to the business.
Is it possible to find an easy way to fix this problem? For example, can the condition records be cleared after the full system copy? Or, is it possible to add word "TEST" on top of the printout if it is printed in QA system? We are looking an easy and simple solution to this.
I tried to find a solution in SAP Printing Guide, but couldn't find any help in there. Do you have any ideas or suggestions where can I find more help? Do you know if there is an SAP Note for this? Is the Message Control (CA-GTF-BS) http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/c8/19878343b111d1896f0000e8322d00/frameset.htm right place to start the investigating?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Jarmo Tuominen

After the system copy we go in and lock all printers then clear all the queues.  Simpler ways we've not found.
We wrote ABAP programs that lock the printers then deletes the queues thus giving us the chance to clear things up as soon as the copy is done.
Be nice to hear if anyone has a better way.

    hi,
you can use common disrtibution channel and common division
    img>sales and distribution>master data-->common distribution channel,common division
    Reference distribution channel for conditions
Specifies a distribution channel that you want to use as a reference for
condition data for other distribution channels.
    Example
         Distrib.channel                Ref.distrib.channel
         01                             01
         02                             01
         03                             01
         04                             04
    Reference division for conditions
Specifies a division where you can define conditions and share them with
         other divisions.
    Example
                   Division       Condition-division
                      01                  01
                      02                  01

  • Ccopying the condition records

    Hi friends,
I had some 4000 records with combination of sales org 1000 and customer QWER1. Now I want to copy all these records to new combination as sales org 1000 and customer as QWER12. For this I tried with VK11 and F7(Create with reference to) and selected the combination of 1000 and QWER1 and enter. Then all the records are copied but with same old combination as 1000 and QWER1 in grey mode. But I want to change the header customer from QWER1 to QWER12. For this there is an icon ' new header combination' just right to the header sales org 1000. When I clicked that header combination is opened for edit but all the condition records are deleted from the screen.
So can anyone help me to copy all the conditon records to the new header combination.
    Regards
    Rama

    Dear Rama rao,
    Try with this
Go to VK12 with the existing condition records then you select all conditions which you want copy then click on COPY CONDITION tab (AT bottom of the screen) system will take you the Copying:Customer to Customer screen there you enter the target customer number then execute agin system will take you to the CHANGE PRICE screen there you can save the conditions for the new customer (If you want you can enter new price also).
I hope it will help you

  • How to update purchase order when creating a new condition records

    Hi,
We have the system configured so that whenever we update a condition record, a change pointer is generated. Then we the use of standard reports RMEBEIN4 and RMEBEIN, all open purchase order having that condition type is updated. However this only works when we update existing condition record. When we create a new condition record, this does not work even though the change pointer is created. Do the reports mentionned above works for the this case or another standard report that should be trigger.
    Thank you for your help

    hi,
May be this is working for the conditions already existing in the info record for the PO's.  so when you have new condition record it updates only after you amend the PO with that condition and save it.

  • How to add new condition record to sales order items

    Hello All,
I have requirement to add to new condition record to get more discount on the item during sales order processing based on some conditions. In user exit SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE , I am populating an internal with items for which additional discounts are required. So want to add condition record to those items to get additional discount.
I know that in VOFM routines we can modify the existing condition record value but not sure what is the best place to append new condtion record to conditions table.
    Thanks,
    Suman

    Hi suman,
As which conditions you want or whatever logic you want for to write for applying the conditions you need to make changes at two includes and one FM by using Implicit Enhancement
    1) MV45AFZZ
    2)RV61AFZB
    3) FM name i am not remembering you can debug and find out.

  • Billing Output condition record deleted by user

    Hi,
User had removed the existing condition record and created new condition record for billing output condition. I had checked in B011 and B904 table and couldn't identified the user who had deleted the exisitng record. I could see the new condition record details in this table.
Do we have any table which will hold the deleted condition record details or is there any way i can find the details of this conditon record.
    Thanks

    Hi,
You can test the CHANGE LOGS in the Transaction code SCU3
Goto the Transaction code and enter the Table B011 and choose the option as TABLE and execute, it will give the entries of change logs done during a certain period of time
You can aslo find the Details using the Program  RSVTPROT
Here if you didnt find the CHANGE LOGS then need to activate the Table in order to display the change logs.
    Hope it will work.

  • Copy control for conditions

    Hi Guys,
    i am having one requirement.
My client is using one condition from so long time,  they defined so many condition records for that condition type.
Now the case is,  if i am using the other condition type with the resemblence of that condition type(exactly same with key combination) in another pricing procedure(because of some constraints we are not using  same condition type).  I want all condition records to be copied of that old condition type to this new condition type.
So, in this process i came to know, there is a configuration for copy control of condition.  Plz share some config points in this regards.
    Regards,
    Rajesh.

    Hi Raj In,
Jacqueline's solution is good for your requirement. The field RefConType is on Master data Box. Bear in mind, if you'll use this solution you should continue loading condition records for the old condition not by the new. If you don't want that, so you need to define condition copy rule for those condition in:
Sales and distribution --> Basic Functions --> Pricing --> Copy control for conditions
Then, to make the copy of the condition records use trx VK32.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mariano.

  • Duplicate record in Condition record table

    Dear Experts,
when we create a record in the same access and in same validity period with same processing status. System give a popup of overlapping the dates and short close the existing record.
But we are facing issue if existing record status is released and when we create record with the same validity period  with block status, system not splitting the condtion and save with the same validity period and after that system give a error massage in VK12 for duplicate insertion.
I want that system will split the condition record even if existing condition record with different release status.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Lucky verma

    Dear Lucky,
I understand your scenario, when you create Condition Record at the first time in Vk11 by block status "A" lets say 01.01.2014 till 31.01.2014. Afterward you change the processing status as "C" release. at the middle of the month you come up with new price so you maintain with processing status "A" from 15.01.2014 till 31.01.2014, system will not stop you at that time because processing status is with blocked. when you release this status into "C" . system will not allow you to do so why because this is standard behavior that when you have an existing record with same Access Sequence, Condition, processing status and Validity. system will not overwrite it until or unless you change the from date as same as you have already maintain.
If you want to propose your date while creating condition record, you have to change your settings in V/06 Valid From and Valid to as "No proposal" so that you can maintain your own validates but when ever you have to create new condition record at the same time (in middle of the month) you have to manually change the first one as 14.01.2014. this is because as i have mentioned system cannot allow two condition record as the same time with your same characteristics. Furthermore you can ask freely if you have any query.
Please go through this information too. hope this will clear your understanding.

  • Condition record's not getting copied in local client copy !!!

    Hi ALL,
I have a one question/doubt regarding local client copy.
Our functional team creates condition type (for e.g.: thru FV11 for MM) in one client (golden), when I take client copy of that client with SAP_All profile, but condition type is not getting copied in the new client.
I found for Sap notes, in one note it was suggested that change documents are not copied with any profiles.
I found in FV11, there is one option, Send Condition, thru which we can send by Logical systems, but its giving error msg u201CNo relevant partner system DEVCLNT300 exists for output category COND_A
    Message no. VJ000u201D
Can u pls suggest proper way to copy/transport condition record in new client created?
