Copy and paste facility in nokia reading?

Hi all,
Is this a way of copying and pasting text in Nokia reading app?
Also is there a way to download PDF and open I straight into Nokia reading?
At the moment the browser doesn't recognize that I have Nokia reading so I had to install adobe reader.
But neither apps allow me to copy text as far as I can find.

I had some difficulty locating this 3 line icon myself.
Turns out that if you close the screen down and tap the input box on the web page you want to paste the text into, up pops an application (text entry I suppose, anyway it has a load of stuff, green tick top left, and then this magical 3 line icon, followed by what I assume is the predictive text input status, a keyboard icon, left/right arrow keys, backspace, and then your usual phone pad entry). Tap the 3 line icon and the text you copied earlier is pasted into the text display area of this app. Then hit the green tick and it gets pasted into the field you first double clicked on in the web page.

BTW, doesn't matter what orientation the screen is in using this method, just that the screen is folded flat back on the phone to hide the qwerty keyboard.

how can i use the copy and paste thing in Nokia E71?

Taken from page 28 of the E71 user guide:
"To copy text, press and hold the shift key, and scroll to highlight the word, phrase, or line of text you want to copy. Press the function key + chr + c. To insert the text into a document, move to the correct place and press the function key + chr + v."
Not all text can be highlighted for copying, for example the text from web pages.

Copy and paste doesn't work

I have attempted to copy values using copy/paste. When I apply the paste nothing is put in the designated cell. I have attempted to copy titles as well and they were not pasted.
I opened a new spreadsheet as a test and found that the copy/paste technique works on it. Why does this work on one spreadsheet and not the other? Have I turned something off or on which prevents this from working on the spreadsheet? Is there a preference that is involved?
I am running Snow Leopard on an iMac.

I had the same problem with a Numbers '09 SS that I got as an email attachment. I couldn't copy and paste cells, no matter what was in the cells. I couldn't move cells or groups of cells. The only thing I could do was highlight the contents of one cell and copy and paste that. But that gets old fast.
So I tried exporting the SS as an Excel document (I don't have Excel, but it doesn't matter) and then opening it again in Numbers. It Worked!! Now I can move and copy and paste cells, columns, rows.

I did the fix a few times and restarted firefox, with no success. Also, I installed the latest version of firefox and it is slower now. I have to use firefox for school, otherwise I would just find another way.

Another alternative is to save it to the Reading list for offline reading at your leisure - if all you want to do is to be able to read the web page when you are offline. You saved it after setting the Password? :
Inspector > Document > Document > Require Password to Open
I just tested it and it shows up ijn The Finder with a padlock on the file icon and does require a password to open.

Why do you want to prevent copy and paste? They can take screen shots of the pdf if they are real insistent? If you password protect your file, to prevent copy and paste, but that is trivial to circumvent. You can convert your pdf to tiff and then re-import, the resulting file will be an image pdf file.The contents will be an image which doesn’t prevent copy and paste, will prevent it being done as text.

Caro Fabiano,
Obrigado por ter contactado as Comunidades de Suporte Apple.
Na origem do seu problema podem estar várias causas. Nomeadamente:
O ficheiro (arquivo) que está a ler pode não ser texto, ou seja, pode ser texto transformado em imagem e exportado como PDF.
A aplicação de destino (onde está a tentar colar o texto copiado) pode não aceitar a colagem de texto formatado.
A aplicação que está a utilizar para abrir os ficheiros PDF pode não ser indicada para certo tipo de documentos. Experimente o iBooks, o Dropbox ou até mesmo o seu e-mail.
No caso de nenhuma destas causas estar na origem do seu problema, forneça, por favor, mais informações sobre a origem do ficheiro (descarga pelo Safari, Mail ou outro) bem como o destino (documento Pages, Keynote ou Numbers ou outra aplicação que não o iWork).
