Copy and Paste from email to a new email

Does anyone know how to copy a small section of text from a received email to a new one?
Nothing happens when I press down... the option to copy does not appear.

I found a work around... after trolling through tons of pages on google ....
If you change the font size to 10 or above, copy and pasting becomes easier... not just on emails.
Change your font size
On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
Tap Settings > Display.
In the Font Size drop-down list, tap the size of font that you want to use.

There are a range of different kinds of forms. For example, this site uses very simple controls that don't automatically convert Word's formatting to an online format. The site where you are trying to paste your resume probably works differently.
What methods have you tried using to paste? Typically one of these will work:
* Ctrl+v
* right-click > Paste
* Edit > Paste (from the menu)
Some sites offer their own buttons to paste, but for security/privacy reasons, Firefox usually disables those.

Motorola Droid doesn't copy and paste from email?!

Is it really true the Motorola Droid will not copy and paste from an email? My business sends me emails with information that I need to enter in the NOTE section of my phone CONTACTS and obviously a copy and paste option is the way to do that. I use three different email accounts on my Droid two of which are Outlook Webmail. Tell me there is a way or why would I have a smart phone if it can't perform the most basic computer functions? I've been online with other forums and the consensus is that the Motorola Droid doesn't. My friend has an HTC smart phone that copies and pastes from emails. Thanks for any help and I have tried holding down the SHIFT key and that does not allow me to copy precisely what I need.

The only way to do this is to download K9 mail from the market (free). To copy paste in email you need you forward the mail, don’t send and then you can copy text. I know, it’s a kludge but that is where you are, and one of many reasons Android is not fit or the enterprise. It’s a work in progress. Sorry

No. Not that I'm aware of. If you're that worried about people being able to copy and paste from email messages and having confidential data get 'into the wild' that way, then maybe you shouldn't be issuing or permitting the use of smart phones.

Thanks but that is not what i need. In my scenario i literally just need to copy all 200 email addresses from a previously sent file and paste them into the box saying "enter recipient email addresses" so that i can send the exact same people a new file. Without this feature this program is virtually useless to me now. Typing them in one at a time or choosing them one at a time from a list is not an option - i will only do this when i send out the first round of files and then i should be able to copy and past the email addresses to send out any added files that every person on the list will need. I just need to select, copy, paste, done. Hope this makes sense.

Long press on the text you would like to select (tapping and holding) and then release after the magnifying glass shows up. This will select a single word. Then use the blue dots and drag them to select a region of test. Then press "copy". Open pages, and long press and release where you would like to paste. Then select "paste". That should paste the text.
If the text doesn't select within the browser, it might be an uncopyable format. Like if the text was within an image, naturally you would be unable to select it. The only thing to do there is long press the image and selecting "save image", adding it to your camera roll. Then you could insert the image within pages.

Cannot copy and paste from Word into Mail

I cannot copy and paste from Word into Mail. Neither from using the keyboard shortcuts, or using the Menu function. I can copy and paste from other applications into Mail- but for some reason, text copied from a Word document (both in .txt and .doc formats) will not paste into an open email. I had similar issues starting about the same time or within the past week. However, I can copy and paste, it just takes considerably longer than it used to before. Copying something from a web page into Word could take up to 30 seconds now on my computer but it shows a busy mouse pointer while it is loading, then clicks/pops when it loads into the Word document, but then actually takes about another 5 to 10 seconds to appear in the Word document. I have no idea why it is delaying now when it did not do it before, but since it is still going into the document I am living with it for now. Are you waiting long enough to see if it appears?

After highlighting something on a web page by left-click and dragging the mouse, you can go to Firefox button (or File) > Edit. Hover your mouse pointer over the 3 images to the right of Edit for a tooltip (scissors = cut, two pages = copy, clipboard = paste) or click the arrow to the far right of Edit for a drop-down, non-icon list of the functions available.
In Windows you can also right-click (without moving the mouse pointer around) the highlighted text, then choose Copy. On the document, email, etc., that you are copying to, you can use right-click, then choose Paste.

Copying and pasting is not usually a good idea. Try using the "place" command to place your external files or documents into InDesign. Nevertheless, you should be able to copy text from Word or other programs with no problem. How are you doing it exactly? Try to do it not only with keyboard shortcuts, but using the actual "copy" and "paste" menus on both programs.

Why can't I copy and paste from google seach history with firefox 4

When I try and copy and paste from Google drop down search box nothing happens. Only happen with Firefox 4. I tried to roll back to 3.6 but every time i reboot it puts 4 back

Previous attempts to resolve the issue
a. have reset keyboard preferences
b. have shut down and restarted twice
c. have shut down and restarted in safe mode, then restarted to clear cache
Learning: Appears to be just for browser software.
To reproduce:
1. Go into Safari or Firefox, select the URL or any text in the window, press CMD+C.
2. Go to Word/Text Edit/Evernote or open a new tab in the browser and press CMD+V
3. Nothing happens

Copy and paste From cs6 to cc 2014 Problem

Hi when i try to copy text or anything really from Indesign cs6 and try and paste it in CC 2014 why does it convert it to a image? I cannot edit it when i copy and paste. All the content stays the same but is i am guessing converted to outlines. How can i stop this? It did just fine copying and pasting from cs6 to CC from last year but not with the new update. Please help

The reason we did it was because our CS6 has q2id installed on it and CC does not. One person that works here didnt want to just save the file in CS6 and just open it in CC later. I just wanted to know if there was a setting i could undo to stop it from importing like that.

Can't always make sense of its effect, but I suspect what your seeing comes under the influence of Photoshop > Preferences > General > Options > Resize Image During Place

Copy and paste from gmail to Pages loses all links--why?

I get emails with embedded links that I need to work on, so I select the entire gmail message body, then copy/paste into Pages '08. What I get is a plain text document with all the links gone. The text is still there, but no hyperlink indicated nor http addresses carried over. What's wrong? How can I change that?

OK, so more details:
Let's say I get a long email in gmail that has links already in it, as in they are embedded--they are already clickable. For example, there will be a word that says "Washington Post" and it will be an underlined hyperlink, NOT "www.washingtonpost.com" or whatever.
So I open Pages and select "New" and get a blank document. Then I open Inspector and Enable hyperlinks just like you suggested. Then I copy and paste the email text that has the embedded hyperlinks. And NONE of them maintain their link data. All of them become plain text.
So what am I doing wrong that is making all the links die?
