Copy and paste function stopped working?

The copy and paste function stopped working on my laptop (ibook g4, OSX 10.3.9). It does not work in any applications, tried MS word, safari, preview.
How do I recover this function?

Your Finder may have lost contact with the clipboard, so try this.
In ~/library/preferences locate these two files and trash them
com.apple.finder.plist
com.apple.sidebarlists.plist
To re-establish them, log out and log back in again.
You will need to reset your finder and sidebar as you had them before.

Are you using remote desktop or other similar software? Please attempt to kill the related process, such as rdpclip.exe, etc.
Where do you want paste the URL?
Have you tried composite key Ctrl + V?
Please try running SFC /scannow command to fix some corrupt system files.

Copy and paste has stopped working. Bad memory.

Strange new event. In some programs, so far two, if I copy some text there is now a clicking sound (new) and when I paste that text in to another place in the program then it either pastes what was in the clipboard before, in a prior paste, or it pastes a hybrid combo of what was there before and the just-copied text.
If I go to text edit, or to safari or mail program, then copy and paste work just fine. If I look at what is in the clipboard (via Finder) then the expected content is there.
Has anyone run into this odd thing?

Copy and Paste Have Stopped Working!

All of a sudden, it's like a switch has been thrown: I can't copy and paste between applications, or even within an application. I've tried to use Edit->Copy and Edit->Paste, rubber-banding and dragging, and even Apple-C and Apple-V, all to no avail.
(When I do Apple-C, the Edit item in the menu bar goes blue, but then when I do Apple-V, I get the "boop" sound.) Was doing this fine until a day or so ago.

Alright, Open text edit, type a few words,
With your mouse select some text (which overlays a blue strip), press the Command key down and tap C, to copy it. (Keep your eye on the blue flash Edit),
Release both keys.
Check to see if it has copied to the clipboard by
Clicking the Finder icon in the Dock, in the Finder menuitem Edit
select Show Clipboard
Is the copied text there?

Copy and paste has stopped working in all applications.

It looks as if the text is being copied, and it looks as if there is somwething to paste in the Edit dropdown window - but nothing appears when you do paste. Also, the 'Undo' button appears in the edit window, as if it has pasted...

When you say "edit window" I am going to presume you mean the Edit menu.
If you start your MacBook in Safe Mode (that is by holding down the shift key on startup and during the login process) does this change anything? This takes a little time, so don't lose patience.

My Copy and Paste Function is not working

I recently upgraded to Firefox 16.02 and everything worked fine for a while but last night out of the blue my copy and paste function stopped working. As far as I know I have not done anything different. My copy paste function still works in Chrome and IE.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox and that did not solve the problem. As we speak I am running an AV scan and I also cleared the web cache and what not in Firefox. Ran it in safe mode... nothing seems to work!
Interestingly though, when I went to Copy and Paste the "trouble shooting info" from the clipboard to here on this page it worked fine.

My copy and paste functions are not working properly since iOS 8 update

Ever since I updated to iOS 8 on my iPhone 4s the copy and paste function isn't working. It'll work the first time but any time I copy something else it pastes the first thing I copy. The only fix I've found is rebooting the phone but that is a pain to do every time I want to copy something and should be very unnecessary. I updated to 8.0.2 but that didn't fix it.

Cannot use copy and paste function in PSE10?

Today i went to copy and then paste an image onto another one,i could not use the copy or paste function(in pse 10). Only the paste function was usable and when i hit it it pasted the picture of an eagle onto the image. This eagle i had copied from a particular website(unrelated to photoshop) amd pasted it to a folder in windows live photo gallery. I tried deleting this eagle from the windows gallery,but still i could paste the eagle onto the other picture. And it created another layer with the picture of the eagle.This is very strange. How can this be corrected. Also as usual my lassoo tool is malfunctioning in pse 10? Maybe uninstalling and re-installing pse 10 would solve the problem and if so can you give me instructions on how to do this safely or refer me to a link. Would appreciate a quick reply. Thanks!!

Really slow copy and paste function

I'm having alot of trouble with the copy and paste function in Numbers on my Mac. I work from home and have to copy and paste alot of spreadsheets and numbers but when I copy a large set of numbers from one spreadsheet to another it takes FOREVER to paste and it constantly freezes my computer. Does anyone else have this problem and have you found a solution?

I have windows vista, adobe master suite collection cS3. I am having trouble using copy and paste and screen grabs in Adobe Photoshop.
Does anyone know what may be cauing this?

I copied website captures fine onto Paint and copied text and screen captures on Microsoft word fine. I am mainly trying to copy and paste website screen grabs. For example I tried copying a website screen grab straight onto Photoshop.
I am using the manual form of copy and pasting through the mouse right click. Strangely when closing and reopening Photoshop the copy and paste tool works temporarily however after a couple of copy and pasting’s the copy and paste function doesn’t work again!

Copy and paste is second nature.
Does anyone know if its possible to have several open copy and past functions.
Often one needs to carry more than one thing one needs to copy.

Cut, Copy, and Paste doesn't work for some Project files

We have some Project files where the Cut, Copy, and Paste function is not working. Suspecting corruption, I tried doing a "Save for Sharing", to no avail.
Is there a switch setting that we are missing?
We are using Project Server v2010 with SP2. Our Project Pro clients are on SP2.

It could be due to a enterprise global corruption. Does it happen on a specific enterprise view? Does it work well in the default Gantt view?
Try to open the enterprise global and make a copy of the table with the same fields and attributes, then replace the old table with the new one in all the relevant views.

You need to set Copy'n'Paste security policies for that domain in Firefox.

I don't think the list style transfers. Copy and paste the text in to Mail, select it and then choose "Insert Numbered List" as a work around.
