Copy and paste gives incorrect number of signs in chatroom of community site
I write tekst in Word 2007 for about 700 signs. Select and copy, go to chatroom and paste. Error and tells there are 14835 signs, to large. I open Google Chrome and paste only (2th time), no problem. Go back, delete message and paste only (3th). Now error is 32631 signs. Delete and only paste (4th) and error showes 14835 signs like the first time. In Word, hyperlink is disabled.
Yes I did at the time (sorry for the delay - only just got notified), and got this response when I logged in:

Seems like I need to be a customer with a service contract to get my site re-assessed. The inference from that is "you can't have your website reassessed unless you're giving us money". Not what I'd call a fair situation if it's true, and would lead to accusations of holding sites to ransom or sharp-practice if it became common knowledge.
Any ideas how I get past this? I have absolutely no need of Cisco services because I'm a private individual and my site is hosted on a managed server, but IronPort is preventing my members visiting when on certain computers. Perhaps rename it to Iron(misre)Port?

When I open my hotmail or a website with FF and try to copy and paste to a MS Works document it tells me that MSWorks has stopped working and the availabe options only shut off MS Works. When I do the same thing with IE9 it copies and pastes just fine. Indications seem to me to be a problem with FF. I don't remember this being a problem a short time ago but it is NOW. Any fixes?
Ask Microsoft support forum, no? It sounds like an issue with MS Works that fails to accept pasting from FF.

i own acrobat 9 pro and had to re-download the program from a computer issue but when i get the serial code from the adobe website it give me serial code invalid error. i am using copy and paste to prevent miss typing the code.

I am unable to copy and paste a number from the call logs in the hub to the 'to' field in the text message. On pressing the number in the call log the copy number option appears but the number cannot be pasted in the text message 'to' field. The clipboard window is empty.
Also, how do i update 'my number'...it is currently showing as 'unknown number'

In the text message "To" feld, keep it pressed and you will get a menu on the side with paste option.
Also iin call logs if you keep the number pressed, in the side menu goto view call details and at the bottom you will get an option to text that number - so no need to goto text messages and then paste....
to update your number goto settings > Security & privacy > sim card > edit phone number

Copy and past Phone number bug?
This is quite annoying jumping from 9900 to OS10. When I copy and paste phone numbers into the phone app it overrides everything and you can't go back to the beginning of the phone number you just paste and add anything like *67 for example, it will only allow you to append to the end of the pasted number. Any idea if there is a way around this or some option that must be turned on or off?
Copy and Paste from Notepad to Contacts works fine here. Try rebooting your handset.

What do you mean by "copy and paste a page"? What tool have you selected? Or are you just assuming you can select stuff and copy/paste as in Word?

Cannot dial a number from a text message, or copy and paste
On my 9900 Bold I could press on a phone number in the text messages and the phone would dial. That function no longer works with the Z10. Can't even copy and paste a number from text messages to dial pad. Please help!

Copy and Paste InDesigne gives inserted graphic, not object!? Bug or "feature"?
When I copy and paste any object in Indesign (Vectorgraphics, Rectangle, Textarea, everything) it isn't pasted as another object, it's paster as an inserted Graphic. I use Creative Cloud, updating automatically. Is this a new "feature" or a bug? Copying and pasting an Object -> i want an object again (editable and with the same color etc) and not an inserted graphic. Can I change any settings for that or something? never had this problem before!
I would really appreciate your help as it's really uncomfortable in the workflow even though i could understand it would increase performance and reduce data volume.I have problem like this with indesign cs6 and windows 7, when i copy and paste frames it paste as there is graphic inside with a content grabner, my work around is from windows start>all program >go to indesign and run as administrator. Help! I've watched two tutorials and it appears that this should be so simple, but iTunes will not download my podcast that I host on podomatic.com. I've copied and pasted the RSS feed. What am I doing wrong?
Thank you!The feed itself seems OK and can be subscribed to manually in iTunes, and the latest episode downloaded OK.
However, on checking the URL of the latest episode's media file in Safari resulted in a download: it should play in the browser. Though forcing a download doesn't seem to upset the iTunes application, the Store doesn't like it since it needs to be able to stream the file to play it in the Store page.
It's also a requirement that the server can handle 'byte range requests' (where only part of the file is requested at a time instead of the whole thing) because this is the method used by iTunes. It was testing for this that showed there was a problem because I got a 'forbidden' error (in other words, because a download is forced it's not possible to request only part of the file).
It must be possible to get this straight on Podomatic since they handle a lot of podcasts, but you will need to take it up with them and check that it's been corrected.
The first test is to paste the media file URL into Safari's address bar and hit return: after a short delay it should play in the browser window. If it downloads you still have a problem. -
Captivate 6 - Cannot copy and paste to different slides

I have recently spent some time creating an Captivate template to use for my company' s eLearnings. I noticed when I created a project from this template, I am not able to copy and paste objects (eg buttons) from one slide to the next in the new cptx file.
As a test, I created a simple dummy template, and then created a project from this dummy template, and I have the same problem.
Within the dummy template, I can copy and paste objects to a new slide, but within my company's template, I cannot.
Note: the pasted object doesnt show up on the stage nor the timeline.Thanks. Yea, I think I incorrectly used the template. I inserted a number of text captions (not place-holders) into my template, and these annoyingly essentially became master slides within my .cptx project - in other words, any inserted slide in the new .cptx project placed after one of these "template" slides inherted the text captions from the "template" slide, and I couldn't delete these text captions. I essentially had to delete the "template" slide and rebuild it within the .cptx project. What is even weirder, is the inherted, un-wanted text captions did not appear during playback or in the film-strip, but only were visible on stage in "editing" mode.

For an unsigned java applet (Swing) I could not copy from a notepad document into my applets JTextField and JTextArea fields.

For this same applet (Swing) running under 1.5, I could copy and paste from the notepad document into my applets JTextField and JTextArea fields.
Does anybody know why the difference?

Ios8 copy and paste / Digital AV Cable / internet dropping and other bugs!
hello -
so like everyone else else there is a number of bugs I am running into. so here's my list- Yes I've tried to restore, so I am praying that the ios8 update will contain these fixes:
- copy and paste doesn't work between applications- but it's sporadic! (issue originally found when copying from a webpage to an email, then into notes from another webpage)
- my Apple lighting to digital AV cable doesn't "read/transfer" to the TV
- internet randomly drops for a few seconds to minutes for no apparent reason the it being an iPhone 6
- Facebook and other internet heavy apps like Associated Press are extremely lagging or give me an error unable to connect to server
- randomly freezes while taking pictures or taking notes- it won't even let me shut down
- voicemail set up doesn't work
I am sure there are more bugs but haven't seen them or I've forgotten about them! If anyone else has these problems please check the box that you do have the same issue. Also any known resolutions would be appreciated!

Do not duplicate the graphic style when you copy and paste a feature
I rely heavily on the use of graphic styles. However, when I copy and paste a feature that has a graphic style assigned to it, a duplicate of the graphic style is created. I sometimes end up with a large number of these duplicate graphic styles that I have to trash. This does not happen with the selection tool+alt shortcut for copying. However, I can't use this shortcut when I want to paste in front or paste in back, which is the case at least half the time.
Only advice I can offer is Option Left cursor, then right cursor, to make an exact copy in same position.
This will give you a clone as the action does form the previosu poster, but unfortunately no oslution for when you want to target layers.
If anyone else has any input on this here is how to reproduc:
New document, create a graphic style (eg: fill yellow, stroke none) and save
Close the document
Open the document
copy and paste the element with the graphic style, and with every paste multiplies faster than a tribble on Star Trek
I played with changing the clipboard options, no luck. Exists on CS4 Mac, CS5 Mac & PC, might go back as far as graphic styles do.
