Copy and Paste is highly unreliable! Help!
I've tried to do copy and paste video from my camera roll into the email. NONE of them work!
I've also tried to copy and paste equations in picture format into the email. Everything looks fine and perfect on my iPhone 3GS, but both my computer using Firefox and my adviser's computer can only see BLANK, that means all equations are not being displayed, text including format are okay!
Anybody experiences the same problem as I do?

Copy and Pasting Motion? Please help!
Im quite new to flash. It's really, really annoying me at the minute.
My situation: I've got 7 frames of animated motion that is exactly the way i want it. I want these 7 frames of motion to loop so it gets to around 300 frames. So rather than doing every frame manually (which takes ages) i went to copy and paste motion.
So i highlight my 7 frames and click 'copy motion'. Then I try pasting them and i get the error mesage (in the attached picture) that nothing is selected. But i've clicked on the 8th frame, the place were i want the motion to begin, but still it says this error message.
So then i insert a new frame on the 8th frame space and paste the motion over the top of the 8th frame, but it misses the first 2 frames of animation (therefore messing eveything up) out and the motion is also wrong on top of that!
Im desperate here, all i want to do is something simple and i dont know how.Yeah i want to animate my keyframes.
I know i can copy and past the keyframes, but thats not what i want because if i do that my character does not progress forward (or to the right of the screen in this instance). I want to copy and paste the motion so he goes forward (to the right of the screen).
I have the character and i want him to walk from left to right across the screen whilst moving his, arms, legs and head etc (the motion) in a certain way.
Also i had already converted my layers to symbols. I will attach another picture to show you my character. -
For some reason i'm suddenly unable to copy and paste text either with shortcuts or through the menus. It's not application specific...it happens everywhere. Also, starting at the same time, I'm not able to drag and drop programs to my applications folder or even things on my desktop to the trash bin. What have i done????

I see by your profile you are using OS X 10.5.1 (I have not installed it as yet). After running the "standard" troubleshooting things, you might also look in the OS X 10.5 forum to see if there is a similar problem.
I woud run permission repair from your HD and then run repair disk from yoru software install DVD.

What about copy and paste builds?
In Keynote 2 you can copy and paste attributes which really helps if you are doing an intense project. What would have been great was if Keynote 3 offered you to copy and paste builds as well. I have read here that you can make masters and build the... builds there but what if you want to have a certain build that can be used for let's say a text object. Is there anything like this in Keynote 3?
Just bought 5 new Keynote 2 licenses so I think it will be a while before we upgrade to number 3. I loved your post Brian about not buying anything before a Mac convention. I just never saw an update to Keynote this soon. I mean there was such a delay between the first two. Oh well you learn something new every day.
There was something about Keynote 3 becoming just a player after the trial 30 days. Has anyone heard if that "player" is available now with out the trial? And if so does it play on a PC? (grin) Because you know that would be great!

AdionNo, you can't copy builds unless you copy the actual object...but you can set builds on the master slide for say, the body box. Not the same thing, but it's leaps better than the old way. The media guy at my church said that feature alone was worth the price of iWork 06 as it saved about 10 min setup time off each presentation he makes.

Thank you very muchYou simply cannot have two files with the same name in the same folder. No operating system will allow this. Remove old page1 from folder before you copy & paste the new one.

A few days ago, I copied text from an iBook onto my text notebook. When I went to my kindle on my ipad and attempted to share a quote from it onto Facebook it pasted the previous quote from my iBook. I can't copy and paste anything except that quote. HELP

im having trouble with syncing my ipod touch with my itunes library that i keep on a external hardrive. when i plug up my external hardrive that has all my songs on it, it doesn't sync to my ipod correctly. i have to copy and paste the songs to my ipod device when its connected. i dont want all the songs on there and i want to be able to manually control whats on my ipod. and id like to take some songs off of the ipod also but i want them still in my itunes library though. i usually check the songs i want on the ipod but it isnt working that way maybe because its a external hardrive?? i never had a problem with past ipods with my library on itunes but i ran out of space on my computer and had to transfer all of the songs to my external hardrive. please someone help me!! i thought it would be simple! but it isnt the case! i plug up my hardrive then my ipod, i press sync and nothing gets transfered unless i copy and paste them to the ipod. even though it says ipod syncing in progress! this is really confusing! please help me!! sorry if this is jumbled up and confusing..
Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

I'm not able to copy and paste files from my mac to hard disk and usb. I have tried dragging the items I want to copy to those devices but it won't work. I also have tried copying and pasting those files onto those devices too but that doesn't work too. Can any one help?

When I copy and paste from Word to my e-mail using Firefox it changes the font and spacing to single space and 10pt.
It just started doing this a month ago.
It does not do it when I am on my laptop or using Explorer.
Help, I hate explorer.If this were a project that I was involved in, I would recapture the media at the correct frame rate and rebuild the sequences correctly.

Copy and paste from CS5.5 to CS6 help
I work at a newspaper and we recently upgraded from CS5.5 to CS6.
When I open my CS5.5 documents to copy and paste type it shows up like a graphic in CS6.
If I make a text box and paste the type into it, it is unformatted.
If I copy and paste an image from CS5.5 and paste it into my CS6 InDesign document it appears, but not as a linked file.
Why would this be different now with CS6? It is really a hinderance considering we use parts of ads over and over again in the newspaper industry.

I haven't upgraded to CS6 yet, but I'm having this very problem with InDesign CS5.5. If I copy and paste the box in InDesign - vector or text - it pastes as an image. If I copy/cut selected text with text tool - even if it's copying and pasting in the SAME text box - it pastes unformatted. This happens across all documents, but most irritatingly when working in the same InDesign document.
Checked all preferences in InDesign and even cross referenced it with another Mac with the same version, but every setting was the same. Adobe won't help unless it's CS6 annoyingly, well they will if I pay!
Other than removing and reinstalling the whole package, I can't think of what else to do! -
I am pretty new to this design thing, and I am running CS3.
I am basically trying to copy and paste from one photoshop doc to a new one to create textured prints.
I was able to do it once, and with the notes I took, I cannot figure it out on my own.
Everytime I paste my selection from the first doc to the next, there is a white border around my selection that shouldn't be there.
I am missing a step between flattening and unlocking the one layer in the first doc to the next doc.
Here's a screen shot that will probably explain this better than I can. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!! Thank you.

The far left doc is the one I cannot figure out how to edit in way where I can copy and paste without having that white border around my selection in the new one.
The middle one was done correctly, I just can't figure out what step I am missing.

Thanks.Hi! Another simple way to accomplish what you want would be do use a Multiply blending mode. For example, in the far right document in your screenshot with the red background, you could select Layer 1, the pattern with the white border, and change the Blending Mode from Normal to Multiply in the Blending Modes drop-down. See the screenshots below.
A layer set to Multiply will only darken the layers below, so the white border copied with the texture would not show up over a red background. You can read more about the Multiply blending mode here: http://www.photoshopessentials.com/photo-editing/layer-blend-modes/multiply/
