Copy and paste PDF attachment iOS 6 not working.

I cannot copy a PDF dcoument attachment in iOS 6 for iPhone 5 mail.app and then paste it into another email (or other application for that matter).
When you touch the Copy button it doesn't do anything. Is this a bug or a worthless feature?
Copy and Paste does work for images, video, etc. But not PDF documents.
Anybody else have this issue?

I also didnt get that command, and it is nowhere explained? I use Documents to Go to send multiple attachments

Upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.2 yesterday from Snow Leopard. iMac from 2009. Copied JPG from web page and pasted into email. Looked fine. Sent email to myself. When I read email, the JPG photo is replaced with small blue box with question mark. This always worked flawlessly prior to the upgrade. I tried the terminal with defaults write com.apple.screencapture type jpg to no avail (screen snip and paste behaves the same as copy and paste). Set the defaults back to png ... verified with a defaults read. I'm missing something, but I can't tell what.

To reassure you: You don't need to do anything to trigger these issues. ;-) They happen regularly, yet under lab conditions there seems no clear way to nail them down... Most of the time restarting the system and starting with a clean slate gives back the functionality.

Hi alvintheartist,
Please try the following steps.
Press & hold your finger over text in a PDF document.
Move the blue circle "grabbers" (handles) to expand/reduce the text selection.
Select Copy from the context menu that pops up.
You can paste the copied text into other iOS app or the Search field in Adobe Reader for iOS.
Please note that you cannot paste text directly to a PDF document (because Adobe Reader for iOS is not a PDF editor). However, you can add text annotations to a PDF document.
If you are not able to select text at all, it is highly likely that your PDF document is a scanned PDF (that contains no text).
Please let us know if you have additional questions.

The quickest way to do this (tested with OS 10.8.2, MS Word 2011) is in one line:
tell application "Microsoft Word" to close every document whose name begins with "book"
The reason why your script doesn't work is that you aren't specifying to Word which document you want it to close.
So, changing one line ought to do it:
close document incrementvalue -- instead of "close document"
But... when you close a document, you change the document count. Document 2 becomes document 1, document 3 becomes document 2 etc. So eventually you'd get a message saying "The object you are trying to access doesn't exist".
Because of this, if you want to do it in a repeat loop, you have to work backwards:
tell application "Microsoft Word"
set doc_count to count documents
repeat with x from doc_count to 1 by -1
if name of document x begins with "book" then close document x
end repeat
end tell

Copy and Paste text into AEFX stopped working

I have succeeded in copying and pasting two paragraphs of text from Word Pad into AEFX. (ie two layers). I applied Typewriter FX and adjusted parameters , exported etc all fine.
Took a break and now I can not seem to get the Copy and Paste to work and I have another 8 layers to do.
Not exactly sure what I have done or changed to stop this Cut and Paste method from working. (And I do not wish to hand type in the test if possible - Pharmaceutical Mandatories)
Any ideas? Thanx.

Copy and paste function on my windows 8 laptop is not working. For texts and links it would work when I copy it from a website to word but when I try to copy an image to word it wouldn't paste it.

Meanwhile, I suggest you check whether you have any third party anti-virus programs installed in your system, some of those software might prevent such copy\paste function, if you have, please temporarily turn off or uninstall them as a test.
Or as
raghuramu mentioned, it is a software restriction in some websites.
By the way, are you able to copy and paste between other application, such as word to word, not IE?

How come when I copy and paste, my font is not carrying the shadow??

I am trying to edit a menu and when I copy and paste the script it does not carry over the shadowing. I am new to Adobe PS and I dont even know how to shade in the first place! Someone please guide me in the right direction! Thanks

Here's a handy thing: If you right-click on the layer in the Layers palette you can copy just the layer style, then right click on the layer in the destination image and paste the layer style.

Cut, copy and paste from other applications not completely cleared

Hi,
I'm using build 573.
When I cut, copy and paste inside Adobe Story synopsis or research content types, I often get text from other applications pasted instead of the text I have cut or pasted from my working document.
Just to say, it's a little bit annoying when everything else about Adobe Story is so lovely.

1. I mainly use the client on my macbook, or samsung netbook running windows xp and then sync over the web
2. using cmnd-c, cmnd-v, cmnd-x for mac, ctrl-c, ctrl-v, ctrl-x on windows netbook
3. I use safari latest version on the mac, and chrome or opera on the netbook.

Bug: Copy and Paste shortcuts still don't work

Copy and Paste shortcuts still don't function. I have to manually go to the menu to copy and paste. Is this being addressed? This is a basic function used often.

Copy and paste short cut keys stopped working

Im not too sure when it happened, but "command C, command x and command V" don't work. I can highlight and go up to the menu bar, select copy, then select paste and it will work. I can't add a custom shortcut for copy, cut and paste. Any suggestions on how to fix this???

I've shut down and restarted my computer over and over. Whenever Im done using it. That obviously hasn't fixed the issue.

Cut and paste from text field not working in early access JRE 1.90-ea-b38

I noticed that cut and paste no longer works with JRE 1.9 on Windows 7 professional. Anyone else having that problem?

Again why do you have a custom TableModel? It is not required for the SSCCE and in fact is not required for your real program.
Why is KeyListener code included. It has notthing to do with your question.
2) I also suggested you add the mouse listener to the text area. Well, the text area is defined in the popup dialog, not the editor in my original SSCCE. So why have you made the code so complex by defining a second text area?
I did look at your sample program (the table with pop-up menu appearing on right-click) That was only a wild guess because you didn't respond the second time when I asked you why the mouse listener wasn't added to the text area.

Copy and paste a transition (doesn't work)

Select a transition in a sequence.
Select Edit > Copy.
Move the current-time indicator to the cut line where you want to paste the transition.
Select Edit > Paste.
Done all that. nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?
So in the timeline I click on the transition. I goto edit and copy. I click on goto next edit point. In the edit menu paste is not available.

So apparently you have to
1. target your clip
2. select existing transisiton
3. Copy
4. goto next edit point
5. select clip
6. paste.
That is more than you need to do. Something is wrong. A screen shot of the timeline showing the tracks and track headers would help.
The Help advice you quoted is correct, it even works using the keyboard shortcuts.

Why would they monitor these forums looking for problems when they already have internal and external developers/testers doing that for them?

Bring back copy and paste TITLE of song, not only URL

Latest update only copies the URL, so if you're sharing a song or playlist they only see that, not the title. Surely this was unintended, can you bring it back please

The f eature as it was before it was taken away: 1. You can copy specifically URI or http. One is "spotify:track:<id>" the other begins http://. The useful thing is that you can copy it back into spotify to load the track. 2. If you paste into notepad you always get the URI.3. If you paste into Word or Excel, you get a clickable link but the text is in the format Artist - Title except it isn't a - but some strange dash symbol. And if there is more than one artist on the track you only get one of them. However it is still fairly useful. I create my playlists in one of two ways: 1. My search program. This returns me URIs (or http links), artist and title. I don't need the copy-paste feature at this point. All I do need to do is copy a selection of URI/http links into spotify. 2. I "filter" the lists. This is done through Spotify - the tracks are loaded into a playlist and then I listen to them all or a bit of each and copy into a new playlist the ones I want to keep (or delete the ones I don't want). That gets me the playlist I want. 3. I then maintain this by pasting it into Excel, both the artist & title and the http link. At this point unless I'm going to do some kind of "Join" (and Excel doesn't have a proper join) I need the artist / title info from Spotify. 4. I also filter them during the week further and want to maintain the spotify playlist in Excel too. I then create "retro" or "old chart" playlists. I do this by selecting a load of songs I want and using ivyishere.org to "find" them on Spotify. Typically it doesn't find all of them and I need to see which ones are missing. (Unlike the very useful spotmysongs which told you which ones were missing, this one doesn't). So I copy the playlist into a Spotify playlist then into Excel and can scan down to see which ones are missing. Many of them are on Spotify. Either I mistyped (possibly put in Dreaming instead of Dreamin' for example and it can be fussy about that, or the way I put in & / and) or it's one that ivy has some problem finding (which includes any songs by A-Ha or Hard-Fi now matter how I type their name). Sometimes the song isn't on Spotify and I have to put it on from elsewhere (e.g. I have it on mp3) but in any case I do need this feature.
