Copy and paste picture in email

I have an OSX desktop Mac.  I used to have a dell and could cut and paste an image into an email and right click on my mouse to resize it.  I can't do it.  Safari is my browser and I use AOL mail.  How can I do this again?  Thanks to anyone that can answer.

Thanks again.  GUESS WHAT my computer was not set up for right mouse click!!!!!!  Something triggered off in my head when I said the dell mouse was set up with secondary click..I went under tool bar by the apple..system preferences, mouse and ...the right click was never set up for copying image, hooray!! but how do you resize it????  I just tried copying an image in email ...now it works. Thanks Stedman  Evie
Unfortunately I'm not familiar with AOL Mail - in Apple Mail you can just click and drag an image (from Safari or iPhoto or wherever) into an open Mail message, and there is a Resize button (Large, Medium, or Small).

  • Can't I copy and paste in my emails???

Who wrote the script for the email? I can't imagine why one cannot copy and paste in their emails. Also, why can't I create an email and be able to determine which account I would like to send later.... on the fly???

Correct, you cannot do either in the iphone so far. Maybe at a later stage, we can all hope.
You can drop a feedback note to the Apple team though: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
    hope this helps

  • Since I lost windows explorer I am not able to copy and paste pictures on my emails using either photobucket or just pictres

I send out flyers to around 100 plus people almost everyday. I have no problem forwarding someone Else's pictures but I can't copy and paste a picture into my emails with photobucket or my own pictures myself. I was able to do this with windows explorers but since it doesn't work I use firefox and that doesn't work. It is frustrating. I can still go to my pc and do this process but not my laptop.
I would really appreciate your advice are you compatible with yahoo?

    WHich system?
    Any third party plugins installed?
Any clipboard extensions in your system?
    Maybe Pushbullet?

  • Pix don't show in document that I made in Pages, copied and pasted onto an email

I've got a six month old Mac Air with OS X 10.9.2. I made a short document in Pages, version 5.2 (1860). I used the images link to put some photos into the document. I want to send this document to many people, using who knows what operating systems. I shared it with a few people first, but one person couldn't even open it, while the other person had a "hard time" (?) opening it, but finally got it opened, while the others (I thank them all very much ) haven't responded.
It isn't working as easily as I want, and feel that maybe it's not such a good idea to send the document out as an attachment anyway. So, now I want to copy and paste the whole document right into the body of the email. I've sent the document to myself to see if it comes up okay. Everything looks great except that none of the pictures show up. They're important.
Is there some requirement that the pictures are limited to a certain size, or a certain type, or some other requirement? The moment the document is pasted into my Gmail email, the pictures don't show up. I'd suppose if Gmail had a size limit they'd at least show up when the document (including the photos) is pasted into the body of the email, and just wouldn't show up when the email is opened up.
    Thanks for any help.
    Troy.

Got this in my inbox a little while ago:
    Hello there,
We have heard about your issue from the discussion thread below:
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6145799?tstart=0
We would like to know if you would be able to provide the following:
    - OSX and Pages versions- Is iCloud file sync On for Pages
    - copy of a document thatdoes not show images
    - details about workflow before the image dow not show in Pages
    - is the document stored on the local hard drive or on a network server
    Thank you,
    The iWork Team

I clicked the link but, it seems odd to me that this didn't show up here in the thread. I guess this is legitimate though.
    Here are my answers -
    - OSX and Pages versions
As I mentioned in my initial post I've got OS X 10.9.2 on a 2013 model MacBook Air, and Pages 5.2 (1860).
    - Is iCloud file sync On for Pages
I don't know where to find iCloud file sync in Pages. Searching the internet didn't help. I found some forum threads but they don't make any sense to me. I'm not so computer savvy and am still new to Mac. I can share links via iCloud by sending files as Pages documents, PDFs, Word documents, or ePubs. Maybe this is what you mean. But I don't see anything about turning it on or off.
    - copy of a document thatdoes not show images
Only way I know of is to use Google Docs. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pRfzSI8gpzKRavCbFRdLAUjddVqTMyyvTllJNvCVAeA/ edit
    - details about workflow before the image dow not show in Pages
I uploaded all the images using the "Media" icon in the Pages task bar at the top of the screen. Is there anything more that you'd like to know about the workflow?
    - is the document stored on the local hard drive or on a network server
    Local hard drive.
    Thanks much.

  • The edit button disappears when I have the link window open, so how do I copy and paste address for email link?

When I want to create a link to a web page in an email, I click the "link" icon and a window appears asking for the address. But simultaneously, the "edit" function and all other functions disappear from the Firefox toolbar. With no edit, how can I copy and paste the address? I have tried highlighting the address and dragging it into the window, but it won't drop into the window.
I have resorted to copying the address to a document and then pasting it into the link window, but there must be a less cumbersome way.

I have to agree with bmalmquist.  Need for Speed seems to work great on the Playbook.  I didn't buy the Playbook to play games though.  RIM needs to shift their focus from games to useful and productive apps.  The apps I need to use are either missing very important features, or are just completely missing.  It is somewhat disconcerting to see new apps appear in App World only to discover that the new apps are mostly games.  I'm seeing lots of apps that would help me waste time, but very few that will actually help me be more productive.

  • How to copy and paste text into email without HTML gibberish

I've had trouble for some time now copying and pasting text into and out of yahoo emails. I can't just copy and paste text, I have to first transfer to Word for Mac and then paste into a yahoo email. Then I end up with what looks like three lines of HTML gibberish at the start of the pasted text each time. Isn't there a clean and direct way of copy and paste of text into and from emails in yahoo? No other email I work with has this problem, and the Safari browser doesn't give this same issue

== some recent Firefox update, I think

  • Copy and paste pictures from preview to ebay problem

    Hi.
I am creating adverts on eBay with my macbook and when I copy and paste a picture from preview, into the body of the advert it works fine and displays fine. I then save the advert and go to view it on my mac and all displays ok.
However my problem is when I view it on anything other than a mac. The pics just show up as a small block with a strange symbol in it.
    Anybody got any ideas?
It seems daft that I can create an ad on a PC and you can view pics no matter what machine you use, yet when I use a mac it's not the case. I hope it doens't mean I have to keep using my PC.
So you know, I have tried it with the picture file being a ".png" file and a ".jpg" file and it made no difference.
    Thanks
    Mark

Sorry to disagree but this isn't right.
I copy and paste on my PC and it works just fine to view on anything so if what you're saying is right then it would surely do the same on a PC.
Aslo it IS saving the image in the body of the ad because if I view it on another mac it displays correctly.
I'm not sure what you mean by you upload the pictures at the end. I want to type a bit about the product, then have a picture, then type some more and maybe put some more pics. Like this
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180637405596&ssPageName=STR K:MESELX:IT#ht1600wt1141
    or this
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180635082165&ssPageName=STR K:MESELX:IT#ht1266wt1141
The only difference here is these were created on a PC.
I must add on thing though. When I'm trying to add the pictures, I have them open in "preview" and I crop them by using the instant alpha cutting tool. Then I copy and paste it. I've even tried savingit as a jpeg file and a bmp file and makes no difference.
    Thanks

  • Copy and paste JPG into email not working

Upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.2 yesterday from Snow Leopard.  iMac from 2009.  Copied JPG from web page and pasted into email.  Looked fine.  Sent email to myself.  When I read email, the JPG photo is replaced with small blue box with question mark.  This always worked flawlessly prior to the upgrade.  I tried the terminal with defaults write com.apple.screencapture type jpg to no avail (screen snip and paste behaves the same as copy and paste).  Set the defaults back to png ... verified with a defaults read.  I'm missing something, but I can't tell what.

To reassure you: You don't need to do anything to trigger these issues. ;-) They happen regularly, yet under lab conditions there seems no clear way to nail them down... Most of the time restarting the system and starting with a clean slate gives back the functionality.

  • I can't copy and paste pictures from the web to my email like I could with Explorer?

With IE you can copy a picture from the web and paste in to an email, with Firefox I have not been able to do this?

In Firefox, right click over the image you want to copy and select "Copy Image".
Go to your email application and then right-click and "Paste".
    This should work.
I notice that you are using an older version of Firefox, so it might be worth upgrading to the newest version Firefox 6.0.2.

  • When using Yahoo Mail in Firefox, I can't copy and paste pictures from a third-party host. I can do this in MSIE 8.

I'm accustomed to copying pictures that I placed on a third-party host (Photobucket or Multiply) and pasting them into the body of a Yahoo Mail message. I can't do that on Firefox. When I click "Paste," nothing happens.

  • Can I copy and paste pictures from laptop (windows 7) to ipad

I had to remove pictures taken with iphone (photo stream)  to make room to load ISO8.  Copied them to my Toshiba laptop but now trying to copy & paste back to ipad but it is not working.

Sync the Photos using iTunes on your laptop.
iTunes: Syncing photos - Apple Support
There are also third party WiFi apps that let you transfer photos to the iPad from the computer and the other way around. I use this one.

  • Please help: simple copying and pasting pictures

I want a picture off of a website..when i highlight it and press save as...it saves it as a web archive not a picture format! I just want to __copy and paste__ images off of the internet..why am i having such a hard time?
the main reason i want the picture is to have it as a screensaver? i dont know if that information helps or not...

    Hi
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
i want the picture is to have it as a screensaver?
Do you mean as a Desktop picture? If so, per Neil, right click to open the Contextual Menu, then select "use image as Desktop picture" (I believe this feature is the same in Safari 3.0.4 in either Tiger or Leopard). This will automatically place the image as your Desktop picture. The larger the image size the better the image resolution on your screen.

  • How do I copy and paste a picture from my Photobucket account to an email

The only reason I use Internet Explorer is because I copy and paste pictures to make emails for friends but don't know how to do it here

Kind of depends on where the picture is. Usually you can just select it and if you can move it you can drop it onto the desktop.
You should always check usage rights when you use a picture off the Internet. If it's for a school project or personal then there should be no problem.
Pictures that require a royalty fee are usually marked.
