Copy and Paste Variable Speed Ramp Curves?

Is there any way to copy and paste variable speed ramp curves from one shot to another.
I've got a rough cut with lots of speed ramps, and now I have to conform renders that came back from Color (pre-prepped with out ramps) to the offline with the same frame ramps.
I can't seem to do it any other way than by eye match, which is less than great.

Right click a clip in the Timeline that has the settings you want to transfer. Choose Copy.
Right click a clip in the Timeline that you want to transfer the settings to. Choose *Paste Attributes > Speed.*

Time consuming, yes. But what's consuming the time is translating the vertical movement (down) of the formula to a horizontal movement (right- from B2 to C2) of the formula's cell reference. Relative cell references move the reference in the same direction as the formula is moved.

Having Trouble Copy and Pasteing Local Variable in LabVIEW 2010

I am Having Trouble Copy and Pasteing Local Variable in LabVIEW 2010 in s subVI.
I have a VI that has a Local Variable called "Node Addr". I can select it OK, and it appears to Copy OK, But when I go to paste it, nothing appears. It doesn't matter if I use Cntrl-C Cntrl-V or the Copy and Paste from the Edit menu, I get the same results. I tried many times and got the same results. I made sure that I had click a paste location. I can insert the Local Variable if I use the Data Communication panel.
On one of the Paste, I got an error in the error list that said that a Local Variable was not connected to anything. When I clicked on the error, it took me to an insible item in the lower right corner of the block diagram that had nothing but a select box around it. I couldn't select the invisible item, but I could delete it.
Why does the copy and paste of this local variable not work?

The Data Communication panel is one of the panels that shows up in the Functions pop up list when editing the Block Diagram. It is the panel that includes the Local Variable function.
I don't know if the invisible item that was inserted in my block diagram was hidden or not. All I know is that the Errors List said that it was a Local Variable and that it was not connected to anything. I couldn't select it to get more information. All I could do was delete it.
You did not address my questions about why the Copy and Paste does not work properly for my Local Variable. Maybe it's a sign from the Software Gods not to use them LOL!..
So if I understand correctly, you are trying to copy & paste the Local Variable from within the same VI. How large is your block diagram? Did you try right-click on the variable and select "Find > Local Variables"? If it's a block diagram larger than 1 single screen (which it shouldn't), then it is possible that the Local is hiding beyond the screen. You should find it as I described earlier.

For example, TextEdit has "Paste and Match Style" which does what you want. Microsoft Word has "Paste Special …" with various options. I don't know Filemaker, so don't know what is on the "Edit" menu.

I believe that insufficient RAM may be the source of some of your problems. If you have a RAM of somewhere 4 to 8GB, you will experience smoother computing. 3GB doesn't seem right, so you might want to learn more by going to this site:

I don't know what know what's happening with your optical drive, but it seems you use your drive quite a bit. In that case, look into a lens cleaner for your machine. It's inexpensive, works quite well.

Copy and Paste not working properly in MLion

A week or so ago I purchased and installed the upgrade to Mountain Lion OS X. Whenever I try to copy large number of files from one folder to onother in my desktop, the copy and paste process does not.
Copy/Paste of a few files works, different from the previous OS system but works. However, if I copy 3000 files or more then the computer slows down significantly or freezes. The little colorful spinning wheel replaces the cursor arrow and cannot use anything else in the computer. I need to abort the finder (op+com+esc) to stop the process. While copying large number of files the copy status bar never appears to show the copying process. I was used to see the copy status window with information about the number of files, their size, time remaining and the little bar in the middle growing from left to right as the copy process continued. None of this happens with MLion.
I called Apple for service. I spent hrs with their customer service people on the phone who suggested a number of things that we implemented to try to correct the problem. Nothing worked! Finally they asked me to reinstall MLion and so I did. The problem was not fixed. They asked me turn on, off, unplug the computer, etc. and nothing fixed the problem.
In sum I just want my old OS system that used to work fine. MLion is substandard, we do not want our money back we just want the computer to work as it used to so we can return to be productive again. Any suggestion on how to reinstall SLeopard without having to reinstall every single piece of software in the computer? Thanks.

I am actually CUTTING and Pasting (CMD+C, CMD-OPTION-V) and Finder gets stuck either with the keyboard or dragging (Holding CMD to Move the Files)
I was downloading Midi files from a reliable website that I've using for years www.vgmusic.com. I was using Safari, so I downloaded Midi soundfiles from a particular videogame using the ALT key to speed things up. Say I downloaded 120 small (10-100KB ) files. I SHIFT selected them from the Downloads Folder and then I dragged them with CMD to place them in my 500GB (the non-system) partition. It got stuck. File is being used, was the message given.
So I thought it was Safari-related, so I switched to Firefox and downloaded another batch and dragged them to my Midi folder on the 500GB. Same thing. I've restarted and quit all open programs. I thought it was an external drive that was hogging access, so I unplugged all my external HDDs (320GB FAT32, 1GB NTFS, 3GB HFS+).
I also thought that VLC was the culprit so I reinstalled it and erased the preferences. Now it is not running.
Now I have some greyed-out files that are zero-kilobytes in the destination folder.
Let's say I try to move the first one "pkrs_petersburg.mid" and "pokecenter.mid" , this appears,
A message saying "preparing to move to "PokemonRSE" "preparing to move 2 files". Come on, I would expect to see this if the files were large, these are 23KB and 9KB!!
The message is in French and it means "It's not possible to move the file "pokecenter.mid" right now because it is being used by another task, such as the copying or moving of a file or the emptying of the Trash. Try again once the task is finished.
The other message (from a previous attempt) is "It is not possible to place all selected files in the same place: at least one of them, named "pokecenter.mid" is being used."
I already emptied out my Trash!

How do I copy and paste pics from one event to another in iPhoto?

I'm trying to copy and paste in iPhoto, but every time I get to the paste part nothing happens. The word "paste" even appears on the screen, but it's grayed out. Any suggestions?

From the picture in your post, it seems that you are using SharePoint 2010 workflow platform.
If that is the case, I recommend to use Copy List Item action to copy the current item to other lists instead.
If you still want to use Create List Item action, could you please provide more details about the two steps in your workflow:
I am not sure why you need to set the workflow variable to get the ID in the Checklist2.

How to cut, copy and paste a tree node in JTree?????

I am working on a File Explorer project with JTree. There are cut, copy and paste item menus in my menu bar. I need three EventAction methods or classes to implements the three tasks. I tried to use Clipboard to copy and paste tree node. But I can not copy any tree node from my tree.

CS4 problems copying and pasting masked items

The problem: Copying and pasting a placed image combined with other Illustrator art with multiple gausian blurs that have been masked/grouped. Placed image type does not matter. PDF, JPG, TIFF, etc placed in Illustrator CS4 (or 3). Some images are complex and others are not.
What happens: After copying and pasting, the masked (grouped) image breaks apart into separate components that are no longer masked/grouped. Happens with different files with different images on different computers. WIth or without text in document. Sometimes image pastes correctly but most times it does not.
Hardware/OS: 3 separate iMacs (20" and two 23") all with intel chips but different processing speeds. All running latest and most updated version of Leopard. All with 4 MB Ram and more than a 100 GB of free hard drive space.
Software: Illustrator CS4 (latest update) and CS3 on one of the 23" iMacs.
Solutions tried so far: Ran Onyx, repaired permissions, scripts, cleaned caches, zapped PRAM and on one iMac, ran Disk Warrior. Tried in Safe boot mode and tired with a new user account. Created new files with new images and tried old files. Tried opening files from the server and from the desktop. Threw out illustrator prefs and emptied trash.
Thought it may have to do with font conflicts but some files don't have fonts. Turned off font management programs (Suitcase on one iMac, Font Explorer Pro on others, all updated to latest version) and restarted so only system fonts loaded. No luck. Turned on fonts used in various documents, still no luck.
Thought it may have to do with memory issues after copying masked items. Sometimes the copied image would paste correctly and then the next time I pasted it, it would not. Before pasting a second time I would copy a small item (to clear the memory) and then paste it and then recopy the masked item and paste that. Still no luck.
Checked activity monitor but nothing looks to be a memory hog or out of place. Happens on all three iMacs and while the OS and Illustrator are common to all three, Fonts and font management tools are not. No weird plug-ins or third party extensions installed. Plus it happened in safe boot mode so all extraneous fonts and such should have been deactivated.
Curiously, if I drag copy the masked item using the option key, the masked item copies fine. I know this can be used as a work-around but I would like to resolve this as sometimes the designers need/want to use command-c/command-v.
Not sure what else to try. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks you.

This might work, this might not. I have copy paste problems
on a regular basis and all that works for me is closing Captivate
down and then re open and continue. At worst, a reboot tends to
solve this glitch in my experience.

How to copy and paste vector graphics

I have a program that draws curves and I would like to copy and paste them as a path into Adobe Photoshop.
I am using the Clipboard class (Clipboard clipboard = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit().getSystemClipboard()), but I
do not know what string I should use for the StringSelection argument in the setContents method. I tried the
string that describes my curves in PostScript.
But that didn't even work for pasting into Adobe Illustrator, although Illustrator is capable of opening
a PostScript file. (However Photoshop only opens a PostScript file as a bitmap, not as a path.)
With Illustrator, instead of pasting the curves, it just pasted the PostScript text.

For me, freehep is the fifth hit when googling "java vector graphics library". But of course I don't get to "[Access hidden information|http://www.copernic.com/en/products/agent/index.html]" without paying up :).
For a simpler way: since you already say you can save to postscript, make a temporary ps file and export it in a file list (keywords "java drag and drop files"). Perhaps Illustrator then opens the file and the user can copy/paste it there. Otherwise you have to figure out what Illustrator expects on the clipboard and put it there in the same format.
Another option might be to use some com wrapper to talk to Illustrator directly (but probably need a commercial com wrapper for that).

I have to agree with bmalmquist. Need for Speed seems to work great on the Playbook. I didn't buy the Playbook to play games though. RIM needs to shift their focus from games to useful and productive apps. The apps I need to use are either missing very important features, or are just completely missing. It is somewhat disconcerting to see new apps appear in App World only to discover that the new apps are mostly games. I'm seeing lots of apps that would help me waste time, but very few that will actually help me be more productive.

I have been having several issues with Firefox since I installed it two weeks ago.
First, there is about a 5-second stall when I right-click to copy and past something. I work off of this computer so speed is paramount. I do not have this issue with Explorer, Chrome, or and offline programs.
Second, when I send emails from my Gmail account, I will send links or imbed pics in the email. When that happens, the first link or pic will show up, and the rest are broken links or code. This does not happen on other computers or web browsers.
Lastly, I have the flash player crashing quite often (multiple times a day).
What steps should I take to remedy these issues? I really like this browser and the add-ons, though speed is what runs my business so I may have to switch to Chrome if I cannot fix these problems. How to copy and paste text into email without HTML gibberish

I've had trouble for some time now copying and pasting text into and out of yahoo emails. I can't just copy and paste text, I have to first transfer to Word for Mac and then paste into a yahoo email. Then I end up with what looks like three lines of HTML gibberish at the start of the pasted text each time. Isn't there a clean and direct way of copy and paste of text into and from emails in yahoo? No other email I work with has this problem, and the Safari browser doesn't give this same issue

I have to agree with bmalmquist. Need for Speed seems to work great on the Playbook. I didn't buy the Playbook to play games though. RIM needs to shift their focus from games to useful and productive apps. The apps I need to use are either missing very important features, or are just completely missing. It is somewhat disconcerting to see new apps appear in App World only to discover that the new apps are mostly games. I'm seeing lots of apps that would help me waste time, but very few that will actually help me be more productive.

Copy and Paste from MathType

I am using MathType with Adobe InDesign in Mac computers (OS X 10.4.11 and Leopard OSX) . After creating an equation in MathType and copying to the clipboard I paste it in an InDesign CS3 file. When pasting the equation, which was written using an appropiate font (Time, Book Antiqua, or New Century Schoolbook, etc), the fonts change to Arial, independently of the fonts used in MathType. This does not happen when pasting the equations in Word. Using the Save As command in MathType and the Place command in InDesign, which I don´nt want to use, solves the problem. Does someone knows why this happens and how to cope with this problem? Thanks.

Thanks Peter. In fact, I had the preference for clipboard in InDesign set to "text only". However, changing it to include all the information (formatting, etc) did not resolve the problem. I continue getting the Arial font, whenever I paste an equation from MathType. I should mention that I am using a Spanish versión of InDesign CS3 and don´t know if this is causing troubles. I Hope to find an answer to this question in the near future.
The reason I don´t want to use "Save as" in MathType and the "Place" command in InDesign is that when a variable or an equation occurs several times in a given chapter of the Calculus book I am writing, InDesign creates a link each time I use it, even when "Copy" and "Paste" are used within this last application. In other words, once I "Place" an expressión or a symbol (for example the symbol for irrational numbers) from MathType and I use the same symbol or expression in the InDesign chapter or page, I get several links on the link palette. As a result, I have a lot of links, all of them referred to the same expression, symbol or variable. May be this answers what FivePicaPica says.
As I know, by the way, Macs and MathType are not limited to only two fonts. In fact, any of the system fonts can be used and "copy and paste" with Word. The problem arises when cpying and pasting from MathType to InDesign.
