Copy and paste while screen sharing

While screensharing during an ichat session with my mum, I'd like to copy a URL from my mum's Safari address bar to my computer. Is that possible?

I have not mentioned iChat 6 as I don't have a version in front of me (Although my son has Upstairs - and he was not here when I posted yesterday)

Copy and Paste While Editing Bookmarks

I am having a problem on my iPad 2 (ios5) copying and pasting while trying to edit bookmarks. I can copy and paste in the name of the bookmark, but cannot on the web address. This has become a problem because I would like to use a bookmarklet and I need to copy and paste the long code. Has anyone else had this issue and fixed it? The bookmarklet I am trying to use is called dotepub and it converts any web page to an epub format. I was shown this by an Apple employee and it worked great for him and will not for me. Thanks for any help.

My itunes wont copy and paste from a shared library

I am trying to move my itunes library from one computer to a new one. I can see my shared library, and copy the list of music, but then it won't paste into my new library. My daughters computer with itunes will paste her shared library, and when viewing the shared library she can see a menu at the bottom of the screen allowing her to choose 'all content' or 'content not in library' (or something like that). My itunes doesn't have this option. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling itunes.
How can I move the library to a new computer?

You can drag and drop it into Pages from the Finder but it sounds like you want to either edit it or add something to it.
The pdf will just be an uneditable image in Pages.
If you want text from it you can open it in Preview.app and drag over the text to select and copy it.

Copy and paste does not work

Hi All,
I have windows vista, adobe master suite collection cS3. I am having trouble using copy and paste and screen grabs in Adobe Photoshop.
Does anyone know what may be cauing this?

I copied website captures fine onto Paint and copied text and screen captures on Microsoft word fine. I am mainly trying to copy and paste website screen grabs. For example I tried copying a website screen grab straight onto Photoshop.
I am using the manual form of copy and pasting through the mouse right click. Strangely when closing and reopening Photoshop the copy and paste tool works temporarily however after a couple of copy and pasting’s the copy and paste function doesn’t work again!

Open both of your images in the Editor. Click on the image you want to copy and press Ctrtl+A (select all) followed by Ctrl+C (copy) then click the tab for your other image and press Ctrl+V (paste)
Alternatively click on your background image then simply drag the second image from the photo/project bin and drop it into the main editor workspace on top of the background image. Use the move tool to position and the corner handles of the bounding box to scale.

I had the same error and reported it to Oracle. They requested an XER copy and I am waiting for thier response. This problem is for that particular project only. To work around it do the following:
Create a new project, open both projects, go to wbs view, copy all wbs's from the correpted project to the new project. The new project will work fine and get rid of the correpted one.

After the most recent firefox update I can no longer copy and paste. the fuinction only works in Windows and I HATE usign it. Any suggestions on how to restore the copy and paste function while using Mozilla?

I have been unable to use the copy and past command while using mozilla. the fucntion does work in windows IE, but I don't want to use windows. How do I restore or fix this function? I varies, works some days and not others.

Try to use the keyboard if the buttons on the web page aren't working.

Using grab or anything else to copy and paste screen shots into MAIL

Using Grab to copy a screen shot into Mail-
All i get is a smaller picture of the screen shot and it can not be read in mail as it looses all definition and is too small .
is there a way one can copy and paste into mail using grab or any other utility?

You can do this using the standard screen capture keyboard shortcuts. cmd-shift-4, for example, let's you select a region of the screen to capture. By default, the results will be saved to your desktop as a png image file.
However, if you also hold down the ctrl key (so, ctrl-cmd-shift-4), the resulting screen capture will be saved to your clipboard. Once in the clipboard, you can simply cmd-v paste it into your mail message...

You can't select objects in Ideas, you can copy/paste the whole layer's contents by duplicating it, there is an icon in the layers panel, next to flip and merge down icons.

I don't think the problem is the number of characters that
can appear in the tooltip, as I'm having no problem with putting in
as long a reference as I need. My problem is the actual cutting
from the RH "document". If I try to cut a relatively short piece of
text from RH, <100 characters say, and then paste it into word
(which I did to check that there wasn't any weird formatting), I
get a line break at between 80-90 characters and always on a
complete word, i.e. it doesn't break in the middle of the word.
I was hoping for some solution that would allow me to copy a
reference from one part of my RH file and then paste the whole
thing in to my tooltip, but if this is not solveable then I'll just
have to build in some extra time to my project.

Cannot Copy and Paste anything in "Code" screen

Hi - something happened, not sure what I did but pressed some
button on the keyboard or combo of buttons, and first when I press
F8 to open up the files - instead of opening up an external window
it locks it in also I cannot paste anything when in "code" mode.
Not sure if the two are related, but need to fix both - any help

Do you have the same problem with IE or Safari? Please try using a different browser to see if you can copy and paste your content. The current version of Firefox is 3.6. Do you have the same problem if you update Firefox?

Copy and paste text while typing

i am sure that someone somewhere has posted this but i couldnt find it. LOVE the Iphone BUT wish it had the ability to allow copy and paste of text. These are basic to most phones, and word processors, and would make it easier to use....ALSO it would be nice if you could send contact details like a V-Card, or vcf like you can in outlook.

Pix don't show in document that I made in Pages, copied and pasted onto an email

I've got a six month old Mac Air with OS X 10.9.2. I made a short document in Pages, version 5.2 (1860). I used the images link to put some photos into the document. I want to send this document to many people, using who knows what operating systems. I shared it with a few people first, but one person couldn't even open it, while the other person had a "hard time" (?) opening it, but finally got it opened, while the others (I thank them all very much ) haven't responded.
It isn't working as easily as I want, and feel that maybe it's not such a good idea to send the document out as an attachment anyway. So, now I want to copy and paste the whole document right into the body of the email. I've sent the document to myself to see if it comes up okay. Everything looks great except that none of the pictures show up. They're important.
Is there some requirement that the pictures are limited to a certain size, or a certain type, or some other requirement? The moment the document is pasted into my Gmail email, the pictures don't show up. I'd suppose if Gmail had a size limit they'd at least show up when the document (including the photos) is pasted into the body of the email, and just wouldn't show up when the email is opened up.

As I mentioned in my initial post I've got OS X 10.9.2 on a 2013 model MacBook Air, and Pages 5.2 (1860).

I don't know where to find iCloud file sync in Pages. Searching the internet didn't help. I found some forum threads but they don't make any sense to me. I'm not so computer savvy and am still new to Mac. I can share links via iCloud by sending files as Pages documents, PDFs, Word documents, or ePubs. Maybe this is what you mean. But I don't see anything about turning it on or off.
