Copy and paste won't work

I cannot copy and paste I tunes songs in home sharing between accounts. I can see the lst of songs, but cannot copy
and paste, any suggestions?

I don't think the list style transfers. Copy and paste the text in to Mail, select it and then choose "Insert Numbered List" as a work around.

When I select songs in a playlist to copy to a folder in Windows 7, I can select all and copy. But nothing appears when I try to paste those songs. Paste is grayed out.

Correct.
You are copying the text from the columns displayed in iTunes.
You can paste that into a text document.
To assist others which may have the same question and see this topic, what was your solution?
Just drag the songs from iTunes to the folder you want.

Copy and paste buffers not working correctly in iOS 8.1m

Both iPads2's in my family arsenal are exhibiting what I believe to be a bug in the iOS8.1 (perhaps corrected by 8.1.1?), in the cut/copy & paste buffer stack.
When invoking the operation to copy and paste data from one application to another, the paste action consistently selects the previous (e.g., stack level 2 rather than 1 or Top) data as what is to be pasted.
In other words, if you have used the copy and paste routine twice, the second pasting will supply one with the paste data from the first operation, rather than the desired data from the second copy and paste operation.
Copy and paste appears to work correctly from within a single application, but consistently fails when copying data from one application to another.
Does anyone know of a work-around for this bug? Is it a bug that others have identified? Is there a new selection filter menu option for copy and paste operations, and what method is used to invoke the menu?
I hope this is addressed soon, as I use Cut/Copy & Paste operations extensively (I've already had Carpal Tunnel Release surgery once and don't relish a repeat performance, no matter how successful the first was in correcting the damage).
Any clues as to what's going on here?

All you can do is simply see if iOS 8.1.1 helps you with this. With some people it has, and others it has not. I would also recommend doing a clean install of your system, too.
Follow this procedure for a Troubleshooting Methodology ... basically reset to factory default condition -BUT- be sure to do the following methodically and also to follow the part with Apple Support!
First you want to make sure you have several backups of your data and done with a couple of "different" sources. Be sure to understand what data is backed up and what is NOT on iCloud Backup and iTunes Backup. Use a variety of methods for backup ... you might check into Dropbox, in addition to your Apple options.
Then turn off your desktop anti-virus software when using iTunes for this reset to factory default. After you do that reset, then leave your iPad in its factory default state and see how it operates then. If you encounter any problems in that factory default state, then take it to Apple Support, and let them know that you have just reset it to that state with iTunes and have not put any of your data back on and it is operating in this fashion (whatever the problem is) in that pristine state. Make sure you keep that trouble ticket number, because if it has to be escalated through Apple Support, you're going to find all communications tied in with that number. If the lower level help isn't able to help you, then escalate it to a higher level to examine the problem. Keep at it with that trouble ticket number until Apple Support arrives at a solution to that problem. Be methodical and keep at it.
On the other hand, if everything is okay with the factory default condition, then restore your backup. Some people have discovered that the problem resides in the apps or something in the restored backup. If that's the case, then it's going to be trying and difficult to find out which developer's app is causing you the problem. And ... it's true ... that a developer not following Apple's instructions and guidelines for his app can CAUSE YOU TROUBLE. This kind of thing does happen from developers, especially when a new system upgrade comes out, because some developers ignore what Apple tells them about changes coming, and what they do BREAKS SOMETHING.
This is a troubleshooting methodology that you are going through. See it through to the end.

Copy and paste function stopped working?

The copy and paste function stopped working on my laptop (ibook g4, OSX 10.3.9). It does not work in any applications, tried MS word, safari, preview.
How do I recover this function?

Your Finder may have lost contact with the clipboard, so try this.
In ~/library/preferences locate these two files and trash them
com.apple.finder.plist
com.apple.sidebarlists.plist
To re-establish them, log out and log back in again.
You will need to reset your finder and sidebar as you had them before.

I have just tried this and it worked. I found the image via google, opened up get info on itunes then dragged image into artwork box.
As far as I can tell this works as it has always worked.

Copy and paste has stopped working. Bad memory.

Strange new event. In some programs, so far two, if I copy some text there is now a clicking sound (new) and when I paste that text in to another place in the program then it either pastes what was in the clipboard before, in a prior paste, or it pastes a hybrid combo of what was there before and the just-copied text.
If I go to text edit, or to safari or mail program, then copy and paste work just fine. If I look at what is in the clipboard (via Finder) then the expected content is there.
Has anyone run into this odd thing?

Copy and paste does not work

I have windows vista, adobe master suite collection cS3. I am having trouble using copy and paste and screen grabs in Adobe Photoshop.
Does anyone know what may be cauing this?

I copied website captures fine onto Paint and copied text and screen captures on Microsoft word fine. I am mainly trying to copy and paste website screen grabs. For example I tried copying a website screen grab straight onto Photoshop.
I am using the manual form of copy and pasting through the mouse right click. Strangely when closing and reopening Photoshop the copy and paste tool works temporarily however after a couple of copy and pasting’s the copy and paste function doesn’t work again!

I'm using windows 7 and 8. I can copy and paste photos , but when I copy a URL the paste function does not work. It is greyed out.

Are you using remote desktop or other similar software? Please attempt to kill the related process, such as rdpclip.exe, etc.
Where do you want paste the URL?
Have you tried composite key Ctrl + V?
Please try running SFC /scannow command to fix some corrupt system files.

Cut, Copy, and Paste doesn't work for some Project files

We have some Project files where the Cut, Copy, and Paste function is not working. Suspecting corruption, I tried doing a "Save for Sharing", to no avail.
Is there a switch setting that we are missing?
We are using Project Server v2010 with SP2. Our Project Pro clients are on SP2.

It could be due to a enterprise global corruption. Does it happen on a specific enterprise view? Does it work well in the default Gantt view?
Try to open the enterprise global and make a copy of the table with the same fields and attributes, then replace the old table with the new one in all the relevant views.

Copy and paste doesn't work

I have attempted to copy values using copy/paste. When I apply the paste nothing is put in the designated cell. I have attempted to copy titles as well and they were not pasted.
I opened a new spreadsheet as a test and found that the copy/paste technique works on it. Why does this work on one spreadsheet and not the other? Have I turned something off or on which prevents this from working on the spreadsheet? Is there a preference that is involved?
I am running Snow Leopard on an iMac.

I had the same problem with a Numbers '09 SS that I got as an email attachment. I couldn't copy and paste cells, no matter what was in the cells. I couldn't move cells or groups of cells. The only thing I could do was highlight the contents of one cell and copy and paste that. But that gets old fast.
So I tried exporting the SS as an Excel document (I don't have Excel, but it doesn't matter) and then opening it again in Numbers. It Worked!! Now I can move and copy and paste cells, columns, rows.

Synchronize settings and copy and paste settings not working LR 4.1

Recently upgraded to LR 4.1.
The copy and paste settings and also synchronize setttings in LR 4.1 has stopped working.
Rebooted, nothing new added
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T 3.60gh
16 GB ram
64 bit

I am also seeing issues in 4.1 with Synchronize settings. I'll giove an example:
Select all images, change the white balance in most selected image, Click "Sync..." have only the "white balance" check box checked, click Synchronize biutton. All images in that folder appear to have synched, but looking more closely, some of the images did not get the white balance setting applied - this is really random also. Had the same issue trying to sync exposure across all images in a folder - 150ish images.
Never seen this in any version of LR prior to 4.1 - I have had them all since 1.2.
I am running Windows 7 x64 8GB on i7 920.
Hopefully Adobe are investigating this issue.

Copy and Paste Have Stopped Working!

All of a sudden, it's like a switch has been thrown: I can't copy and paste between applications, or even within an application. I've tried to use Edit->Copy and Edit->Paste, rubber-banding and dragging, and even Apple-C and Apple-V, all to no avail.
(When I do Apple-C, the Edit item in the menu bar goes blue, but then when I do Apple-V, I get the "boop" sound.) Was doing this fine until a day or so ago.

With your mouse select some text (which overlays a blue strip), press the Command key down and tap C, to copy it. (Keep your eye on the blue flash Edit),
Release both keys.
Check to see if it has copied to the clipboard by
Clicking the Finder icon in the Dock, in the Finder menuitem Edit
select Show Clipboard
Is the copied text there?
