Copy and save a picture?

I'm a new mac user, wondering how i go about copying and saving a picture on the internet with mac. With a pc you can just right click and it gives you the option to save to your hard drive. Can't find this option on mac. thanks.

You can Control-click on the image, which will then present a list of options, including Save Image to the Desktop…. Select that option and it will be saved.

Thanks for your fast reply. I discovered how to fix my problem by chance. After doing what you told me, still have a few more steps to complete.
The pict i try to copy is still downloaded in "DOWNLOADS" ( NOT in "MY PICTURES") but in the "DOWNLOAD" list, underneath the pict name i just tried to copy, it is written "CANCELLED". I simply double-clicked on the name of the downloaded picture and a scan ( for viruses) starts. Once the scan finished, the picture finally appears in "MY PICTURES" folder.
Don't know why it has to be scanned ( is it McCafee or Windows or ...) but it needs to be scanned for viruses or else it'll never be copied to "MY PICTURES" folder.

Copy and save pictures from slideshow

I have a dvd slideshow of my wedding pictures and I need to know if I'm able to copy and save each picture within the slideshow using adobe photoshop elements 5.0, can I?

Sorry to disagree but this isn't right.
I copy and paste on my PC and it works just fine to view on anything so if what you're saying is right then it would surely do the same on a PC.
Aslo it IS saving the image in the body of the ad because if I view it on another mac it displays correctly.
I'm not sure what you mean by you upload the pictures at the end. I want to type a bit about the product, then have a picture, then type some more and maybe put some more pics. Like this

The only difference here is these were created on a PC.
I must add on thing though. When I'm trying to add the pictures, I have them open in "preview" and I crop them by using the instant alpha cutting tool. Then I copy and paste it. I've even tried savingit as a jpeg file and a bmp file and makes no difference.

Process and save a picture

I tryed to make a code with Labview to process and save a picture.
I have 2 cameras, connected to a CVS, and I want to save only the red, so I created a Labview code to extract only the red with Vision Assistant, and I add this to the exemple call "snap an save to file.vi".
But when I tried to run the program I have the folowwing message:
imgSessionAttribute.vi loaded with errors on the target and was closed.
LabVIEW: Failed to load shared library imaq.dll:imgSetAttributeFromVoidPtr:C. Ensure that the library is present on the RT target. Use either MAX to install NI software or FTP to transfer custom libraries to the RT target.

Can you run any example Vision-related code?
Can you try one of the simple "Grab" examples of the NI Example Finder (eg. "Grab.VI") to see if it works?
Did you always get this error with all Vision-code/applications?
I haven't personally seen/experienced this error before, so it might be that the error is (like mentioned in the message) due to some incorrectly installed software on the RT Target (CVS).
There are also a few things that I wouldn't expect one to try to run on a RT system.
The one that "bothered" me the most are the Dialog Boxes.
These should not be used on a RT system like CVS, but these will not cause the error you're seeing.
Do you have much experience with writing RT Applications (for the CVS)?

Where are you trying to copy the picture from? If it is from a website - tap and hold down on the photo until a Copy option pops up. Tap Copy in order to copy the photo. Go the mail app, start the email, tap and hold down on the body of the email and a Paste option will pop up. Tap Paste to paste the photo into the email.
Not all pictures can be copied from a website. If the photo is copyrighted, you will not be able to copy it.
Now since your question was a bit vague, if that didn't answer your question, provide more details

Windows do not repect the digital EXIF specification. Use a free viewer http://www.irfanview.net/ for Windows.

Tiff Viewer which disables print, copy and save TIFF file

I am looking TIFF Viewer solution which woul disable any print, save and copy functions for a TIFF file. Thisfunctionality is available for PDF but I need to disable print, copy and save for TIFF files.
Would anyone know a TIFF viewer or solution that supports the following functions:
1)      TIFF viewer where we can turn off any options to print the TIFF file or save it to disk. That would include disabling any options where the user could right click on the TIFF and save the file somewhere else.
2)      It would need to be able to open multi-page TIFFs.
3)      It would be nice if the TIFF viewer could be run on both Mac and Windows platforms.
I need to send files to users for view only, and these should be in TIFF fomat, not converted into a PDF.

The same answer applies to any kind of file.
You need a Digital Rights Management solution. Very expensive.

My lap top wont import pictures from auto play. it keeps saying there is a file error and a device connected to the computer isnt working properly. i have tried going into the internal storage to copy and paste the pictures but this wont work either.

I have decided to dedicate this thread to the wonderful errors of Lion OSX. Each time I find a huge problem with Lion I will make note of it here.
Today I discovered a new treasure of doggie poop in Lion. No Save As......
I repeat. No Save As. In text editor I couldn't save the file with a new extension. I finally accomplished this oh so majorly difficult task (because we all know how difficult it should be to save a file with a new extension) by pressing duplicate and then saving a copy of the file with a new extension. Yet then I had to delete the first copy and send it to trash. And of course then I have to secure empty trash because if I have to do this the rest of my mac's life I will be taking up a quarter of percentage of space with duplicate files. So this is the real reason they got rid of Save As: so that it would garble up some extra GB on the ole hard disk.
So about 20 minutes of my time were wasted while doing my homework and studying for an exam because I had to look up "how to save a file with a new extension in mac Lion" and then wasted time sitting here and ranting on this forum until someone over at Apple wakes up from their OSX-coma.

Kind of depends on where the picture is. Usually you can just select it and if you can move it you can drop it onto the desktop.
You should always check usage rights when you use a picture off the Internet. If it's for a school project or personal then there should be no problem.
Pictures that require a royalty fee are usually marked.

The simple answer is, "Yes". Use Aperture's crop tool to create a Version that shows only the part you want to be visible.

In my Thunderbd 24.4.0-Windows7-how can I copy and save to DVD all the emails? Unlike in previous Thundrbd they no longer come up in Defaults under Mail.

In my win XP, after Profiles to Default with all those numbers, then Mail, up came Local Folders which contained all the current emails, which were then easily open-able and save-able.
How can I now do the same with my newer thunderbird on my windows 7?

Thank you - I now can find the Mail folder, and then only when I select : pop3.virginmedia-1.com (my server) from it's 3 choices, does it show all my email folders. They are all in 2 versions. Those ending .msf I cannot open as they are "not a valid Win 32 application". The others with a little page icon, do all open - in Wordpad or Libreoffice, but the messages are almost totally lost amongst dozens of complex data pages before and after each little actual message! How can I open and see just the actual email messages without all the vast other data, so that I can then save them to a DVD?
