Copy BPM to new SC and transport

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to copy existing NW-BPM process to new software component version and have to transport to higher environments.
And also suggest me to create directly on NWDI or create locally and deploy.
Could you please guide me on this requirement.
Regards,
SP.

H Siddant,
Thanks for the Quick reply.
I am proceeding as per your suggestion.
As per your comments,
I have downloaded the total BPM project to local file.
While creating a new DC, it is asking for the existing SC to refer and I can only see my SC where all BPMs present.
Issue here is to avoid version log for BPMs, we want to create a new SC and add my existing bpm project to that.(we have to do some changes to BPM after we add that to new SC).
We thought to add bpm to new SC and do transport seperatley for that SC.
And when I try to create a new product itself to have new SC, and when I select my  Development Configuration as my PI server, it is saying the error as:
Selected Development Configuration does not contain an empty and writable product description SC
Could you please put some light on this issue.
And please also share some info on BPM transportation.
and what exactly we transport is it SC ? DC ? or total product ???
Regards,
SP

  • Copied movie to new computer and plays distorted

Using iMovie 6 HD I made a movie on a new MacBook then copied it to my computer--PowerBook G4. The movie now plays with the video slow and choppy. The audio is choppy too but not in sync with the video. I thought it was a memory issue and dumped many things onto an external HD and upgraded my memory to 1.25 GB. However, it is still doing the same thing. Do I need a new computer to handle this 5 minute movie I made?

hey there Questionz, welcome to Discussions.
right now have questions only. what version of QT on P'Book? what version of iMovie on P'Book? do you have 3rd party plug-ins on one Mac & not the other? taking a guess i'd say your new iMovie/QT on MacBook isn't playing nice w/ old iMovie/QT on P'Book. you didn't copy old movie to new Mac, you copied new movie to old Mac. i may not be able to come up w/ the answer, but there are other good, smart, helpful people here.

  • Copying selection to new layer and changing hue/saturation?

I made a selection around someone's teeth and I copied it to a new layer.
    1. On the new layer, using Hue/Saturation, what is the best way to remove some of the yellow in the teeth? I chose yellow from the drop-down, though I am doing something wrong because the teeth are not appearing more white.
    2. Is it a better idea to do this as an adjustment layer instead of copying it to a different layer, or is it just a different way to do the same thing?
    Thanks.

"If you create a new layer it is likely to create more additional data than the Mask of an Adjustment Layer."
    1. What do you mean by additional data?
If you lift a part of an image onto a new layer that layer has as many channels as the image (3 for RGB, 4 for CMYK etc.) whereas an Adjsutment Layer has one channel (its Mask), so the file would increase in size more in the first case (unless it is a grayscale image or possibly if the layer has no detail etc.).
    2. To get rid of yellow in the teeth, are you suggesting to slightly desaturate in the Masters and than a bit more in the yellows? So doing it to both?
Yes, but just try and see if it helps with your image.

  • Copy Files to new iMac and fresh install of Apps?

    I am upgrading to a new 27" iMac from a Mid (2007) 24" Core 2 Duo
My understanding is that setup assistant or migration assistant, will copy over my user data, applications, etc....  My issue is, I don't want a lot of that copied over to the new machine.  For instance, If I understand correctly, if I copy the Apps, it is an all or nothing scenario, correct?
Would I be better off just setting up the new iMac "as-is" out of the box, and just reinstall the apps that I want?
Also, for my user directory, couldn't I just copy those files off to an external hard drive from the old machine, and copy them back into the new one?

With a new Mac running Mountain Lion, I would install the latest (newest) versions of all apps from scratch.  I would not migrate apps from an older system.  You said your existing Mac is a 2007 iMac - what version of OS X are you using?
You can easily transfer all your data files (things that are in your old user folder and elsewhere on your old Mac by starting it in Target Disk Mode and connecting it via FW to your new Mac.  Then just user the FInder to copy whatever files/folders you want to transfer to your new iMac. There is no need to do a "double copy" by copying them to an external drive first, and then copying them a second time from the external drive to your new iMac.
Note: you will probably need the Apple Thunderbolt-Firewire Adapter to do this.

  • HT1364 I am trying to change the location of my itunes library and the library doesn't copy to the new location.

I am trying to change the location of my itunes library and the library doesn't copy to the new location.  I followed the steps in the help message (HT1364) exactly but I am not prompted to consolidate in the new location.  Any suggestions?

Hi ed2345 and diesel vdub,  when I consolidate, the files start copying to the new location and part way through I get a message that the copying failed (-50) even though all of the files are already in place in the new location.  Should I just delete the itunes in the new location and manually copy the files again?  But in itunes, I have indicated that the new location is on the external hard drive but itunes seems to ignore that and still looks for itunes in the original location on my internal hard drive.  I disabled the location of itunes in the old location (by labelling itunes as "itunes old") and it tried to create a new itunes at the old location and prompted me to import music and videos from a CD or other source.  I hope I am making sense.

  • Copy widgets to new book

I have a sort of dummy book where I try out widgets, etc. to see how they work and to get them right. Maybe everyone already knows this, but I discoverd that if I copy the perfected widget, go to the book I hope to publish someday, open an Interactive Widget, I can paste in the one I copied.

I just purchased a new computer and downloaded I tunes but when I go to sync my iphone and ipad touch my library from my old computer doesn't show up on the new one. Only the purchased itune songs come up. How do I get my original itunes library?

Have you copied your content over from your old computer and onto the new on ? If not, and you still have your old computer, then there a number of methods described on this page which you can use to copy your library over : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527 . If you no longer have your old computer then have you got a backup of your content that you can copy onto the new computer and add into iTunes ?

  • Syncing on new PC and I now have a new iPhone, help!!

    Hi All,
The issue I have is that the iPhone 3GS I use at the moment was first synced on an old PC.  That PC died and I have been syncing to a new PC.  However, when connect to iTunes, it will keep a copy of any new Apps and updates. It will also update the iSO software. However, If I click on my phone (listed on the left side of the iTunes screen and then choose movies or music etc..  The sync option brings up a window saying that the phone was not synced to this PC. to do so will remove all data from my phone.
Is there anything I can do?  I still have the old hard drive that I could link to my new PC and get off any itunes files?  Will that help?
The other issue I have is that I have just upgraded my phone contract as was able to get a new iPhone 4s .  I want to give my old 3gs to my wife.  Is it as simple as taking out my old sim card and putting hers in?   Also, how will itune behave if I not have two iphones syncing to the same PC?
Sorry for the odd questions.  But I'm sure you lovely people can help.
    Thanks

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your phone. Only if you back up manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
    Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your phone to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your device without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPhone for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
There is 3rd party software out there, but not supported by Apple, see this thread:http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0

How to download apps for free again:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
Saving other data is also described here. How to back up your data and set up as a new device
As for the second phone, iTunes will recognize each device as a separate phones and remember all settings for each one.
Switching the SIM will work if your phone is not locked to a provider anymore and your wife has a dataplan as well. If the phone is officially unlocked by your provider, she can use it with her SIM, but make sure to set up a dataplan for the phone, using mobile data without a contract can be very expensive.
To prevent from mixing the contacts and events for each one, you can create a new Windows user.

  • Hi, just got a new computer and need to move my library from the old one to the new one.  Does anyone know how to do this or where I can get the information?  Thanks!!

I just got a new computer and need to move my itunes library from my old computer to the new computer.  Does anyone know how to do this or where I can get the information? Thanks!

If you Google ipod nano 6th generation manual, you can download the PDF manual. Here's a quote from page 19:
Transfer purchased content to another computer:
1 Open iTunes on the other computer and choose Store > Authorize This Computer.
2 Connect iPod nano to the newly authorized computer.
3 In iTunes, choose File > Transfer Purchases from iPod.
Songs that are not from the iTunes store can be copied to the new computer, and you just have to do File>Add to Library to get them into iTunes. And if you don't plan to continue using your old computer, you should deauthorize it because you only get 5 authorizations for iTunes store purchases, and this will cancel out the authorization on the old computer.

  • Table copy and transport

    Hi all,
i have copied a few existing tables and  used it in my program.after activating my tables(tables that are copied)
i ve sent it for transport from development to quality.but my basis consultant replied me with RC = 8.
and in the report output it showed like this.
    Activate table YQM_TBL_TC_REF
/ | Key field TCNO has unpermitted type                                                                                |
/ | Field TCNO: Component type or domain used not active or does not exist                                                              |
Field TCNO cannot be used as key field because no default exists for type
/ | Nametab for table YQM_TBL_TC_REF cannot be generated                                                                                |
    Table YQM_TBL_TC_REF was not activated
    Activate table YWBG
/ | Field EXCESSM: Component type or domain used not active or does not exist                                                           |
/ | Field MOIST: Component type or domain used not active or does not exist                                                             |
/ | Nametab for table YWBG cannot be generated                                                                                |
           |   Table YWBG was not activated
but i have activated all the tables and even adjust and activated.i have to transport these tables along with the program. any help in resolving wud be greatfull.
    Thanks,
    naren

    Hi Naren,
First activate all the Data Elements, Domain in the Package. Then activate all the structures and then finally the Database Tables. It so happens that sometime during Generation, some problem happens and this doesn't gets generated properly. And hence inactive Objects are locked in a Transport  Request. And when it reaches the Q system, the dependent transport fails.
So, I would suggest you to regenerate all the Objects. And then check for any generation related errors. Then lock them in a new transport and release the request. I hope this will solve the problem.
Have a look at the Runtime Object of the DDIC Tables. The way to navigate is SE11 --> Open the DDIC Table --> Utilities --> Runtime --> Check. This will tell you the status of all the Runtime Object.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Samantak.

I bought an iPhone 4 from a youngster who had put his own Apple ID on it but could not remember the password. I backed it up yesterday and restored to my new iPhone and it copied the Apple ID across too. Now I have 2 phones with it on. Anything I do?

that must be really annoying !!
so this is what you call
FIND MY IPHONE ACTIVATION LOCK Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support
when you start using iCloud on any iOS device and enable find my iPhone, this prevents  a new user from using it, and also prevents anyone from using the phone
as it is locked to previous owners account ,this is also the case if when a phone is lost or stolen.
the only way around this is to have the previous owner reset their apple id by going to  @ applied.apple.com
if they are unable to do this, then the only other way around this is to have the previous owner get  a copy of their original receipt and call apple support who can then lift this lock if they get a copy of the receipt
unfortunately there is no quick fix -> the below link explains what you should do before you sell or give away an iPhone

  • I copied all of my CD's onto my iMac's hard drive. Now I'd like to buy a new iMac and am wondering how to transfer the music I have loaded on  my iMac from CD's on to my new computer w/o  going through the process of loading them into my iTunes Library.

I have copied all of my CD's, probably over 100, on to my iMac, through iTunes and now am considering buying a new iMac. Would like to be able to transfer what's in my music library w/o having to recopy all of the CD's. Any thoughts? Can I do it throught the iCloud or do I need to buy and external storage device?
    Thanks Brenda

When you buy your new iMac you will be able to have the installation process transfer all your applications, data (including music, pictures, documents, etc) and settings to your new computer. In the past that was done via Firewire. I'm not entirely sure of the process with the new iMacs that don't have firewire. I think it can be done via ethernet and probably via tha thunderbolt cord using a firewire adapter but you'll want to check that out.
With the your new computer properly connected to your old computer, the initial booting of the new computer will include the ability to move everything over.
If for some reason you don't want to do that (smart if you have some horrible software issue that is causing problems) you can connect your old computer to the new one and start it in Target Disk mode where it will be seen as a hard drive. You can then manually copy over all your music and import that into iTunes (and any other data you want).
Somebody here will surely point you to directions for connecting an older iMac with no Thunderbolt to a newer iMac with no Firewire.

As long as they are already ticked in your iTunes then yes. Just to check do a sync and as long as everything stays the same you are good to go.
