Copy CDG Discs (Karaoke track)?  ISDN Modem Rec.?

Two quick but important (for me) questions.
I have mac mini with super drive--Can I copy CDG disks with graphic track using this drive, and if so, where do I get how-to information or software? Nothing visible comes up in Mac support search (CDG). Only internet products or software I have found are for Windows.
Also, I am operating mac mini in rural Italy and my only current choice for Internet is an ISDN line. I have a TRUST usb mini modem (Netherlands), but the drivers don't work with OS X, and the company has no plans to update. It crashes at least once every session, usually 3-4 times on download, and that costs me money, as I have to pay extra for each dial-in connection. Can anyone recommend ISDN/USB modems that work with OS X (Tiger) and run either off 230 v or self power from the connection. I will be in the US in October, so can buy there or off Internet if I can find the right product. Nothing else compatible is available here, and I haven't located any products that seem right from internet searching.
Thanks!! Appreciate your time and experience in answering.

I used to use this:

back in the days when I used ISDN. Plug it in and off you go. never a single problem with it.

  • Copying a disc image

I created a disc image from iDVD to burn a movie. All that worked fine. I put the disc image on my desktop. I am now through and would like to copy the image to an external drive for archive. I keep getting "error code 0." I have tried several different methods to accomplish this with the same results.. Please help. thanks.

The size of the disc image is the source of your problem. A drive that is formatted as FAT32 cannot contain a single file that is more than 4GB in size. You need to split the image into smaller pieces or reformat the drive in order to copy the disc image to it.

  • How do you copy automation from one track to another?

How do you copy automation from one track to another? Occassionally I mistakenly blow away a track's automation. I open up an earlier version of the song to try to get the automation. It doesn't seem that you can copy and paste the data. After some struggle, I find a way. Is there an easy way?

    1. Copy the track containing the desired automation to another track. (create a track below it to keep things organized)
    2. Double click on the region and delete the notes.
    3. Now copy the region to the desired track.
P.S. Of course when Logic asks if you want to copy the automation data you say yes)

  • I used the disc and track numbers, but it won't show on my iPod as separate CDs?

    Hi,
I used the disc and track numbers of get info in iTunes, and I would like to have my CDs separate like if they are 3 CDs on my iPod Classic rather then having a big long list of songs, but after using the disc and track numbers, I still don't see on my iPod which one is CD1, and etc. I took a screenshot of my iTunes. How could I have my CDs separate just like the originals?

    That's the screenshot.

  • Anyone know anything about paying royalties to karaoke track companies if you sing with their track and want to put it on itunes and it is a cover song also...not my lyrics???

Hi There!  I would like to put a song I sang on itunes. It is using a karaoke track from "Karaoke #1 hitmakers". And it is Justin Timberlake's version of "hallelujah. I can't find contact info for this karaoke company for starters...ANYWHERE in Google....and I wonder if someone can direct me on if I can even do this and how the royalties work so that it is totally legal and the "right thing to do" on all counts. I also want to give the "producer" of the song and myself royalties if there are any of course...as time goes on...is that something I need to register on BMI....you can tell I need some EDUCATIONAL TIPS and facts!  THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!      Mamalooshka!

I am only going to make one comment and I will leave the rest to someone with more experience on the model creation end of things. I am interested in that as much as you are since I have tried and and just couldn't figure it out and finally gave up on it.
My comment is about the model making business as you describe it. There are companies out there that already provide this service. I do not know what prices they charge for their services, but a Google search will pop up quite of few of them. A person would have to check on pricing and all the rest of the details concerning this, but they are out there.
I want to add that Multisim used to have a partnership with Edaparts.com to supply model information and footprints for free. When Edaparts became a portion of Partsminer.com this freebie ended and they now charge a subscription fee for this service. That really fudged things up in my opinion. Anyway, I thought I would let you know this if you didn't already and maybe you might be interested in checking it out.

  • Copying Clip in another Track

    Good morning,
I am using FCE 3.0 and am having trouble copying clips into another track. I have tried the Copy/Paste method as well as dragging the selected clip with the <Option>key.
The Copy/Paste method does not paste the clip at the playhead on a different track, and the <Option> key method simply moves the clip from one track to another.
I'm sure I'm missing some simple element here and would like to know what it is.
    Thanks.

    Hi(Bonjour)!
For the copy/paste way: pay attention to select the correct video and audio tracks targets.
Sometimes, it's easier to place your playhead right after the last clip of the sequence and paste. Reposition the resulting copy.
For the option drag: pay attention to use option key BEFORE clicking on your original clip, and drag.
Check if your tracks are locked.

  • Isdn modem for macbook pro

I am living in italy and the home i am in has isdn, does apple or someone make a modem for isdn that will work with my OS and laptop...i have the dialup modem, but i am told that isdn is faster.

Your Telco/ISP would provide an ISDN Modem with the service if it's available to you, give your Telco a call. (I think Tiscali offer ISDN across all of Italy)
I have an NTII (Australian Telco) ISDN Modem and it works OK on this MBP, it's just not as fast as my wireless link ...

  • I want to copy a disc

How do I make a copy of a disc with blueprints on it

Hmmm...that would be a data disc. Assuming it's not protected (and it probably isn't), double-click on the disc to reveal its contents. Make a new folder on the desktop  and call it something.  Press Command+A (for select All)
on the opened disk, and drag the contents of that disc to your new folder. That should copy the information on the disc to your new folder on your desktop.  Had you wished to copy the disc itself, that's a different thing entirely
    hope that helps

  • Copy and paste midi tracks

How can I copy an existing midi track and paste the content to another midi track.  It seems that I can copy and paste to the same track, however, the clipboard info doesn't appear to be available when I create a new track and attempt to paste the content.

ctrl-cmd-E does not work? And cmd-1 doesn't work either?
Let's hope then that alt-K works, because that is where you can set keycommands. Any of the presets in the dropdown menu top left contains the commands you need.
I just did it myself, to check it; every keycommand preset there is, contains both combo's I've given.
I have no idea if there's a menu item for the Automation Event list, I guess there should be since there's no • in front of it (• before a command meaning it has no menu item), but I cannot find it, and I don't even know if it works using menu items. cmd-1 should work, always, but it's also under Window>Arrange.

  • Downloading Karaoke Tracks from iTunes

  • I copied 7 cd audiobooks to I tunes, but they appear as track 1 of disc 1, track 1 of disk 2 etc. How can I arrange these tracks in correct order of each disc?

I don't have the audio CD's any longer, but the information is on I-tunes, but not just in the correct sequence. Is there any way to correct this? thank you!

You can change the Track # information for each track on those albums.  If iTunes cannot find an album in its online database of CDs, it will not have detailed information about the tracks.  This often happens with things like audiobooks on CD.
Select one of the tracks in a listing in iTunes.  Right-click on the track, and select Get Info.  On the Info window, go to the Info tab, and update the Track # information, so that it is correct.  You can update the Name of the track and other information you see there, if desired.  You can also go to the Options tab, and change the Media Type to Audiobook, if the item currently appears under Music in your iTunes library (and you want it to appear as a Book).
NOTE:  You can select multiple items at once in iTunes, and do a Get Info, if the change you are making for all the items is the same.

  • When Recording a new track, previous track is copied to the new track as well

I have an Audigy 4 Pro. I am experiencing a problem when I try to record a multi-track project. I have a microphone plugged into the "Line-In 1/Mic In" input. I can record the first track fine, but when I record the second track, the audio from track one is copied onto track two along with the new audio. This occurs in both Cubase LE and Magix Music Studio 11. I am following the software instructions very closely, so I don't think the problem is there. It seems to me that the Audigy is probably mixing the playback signal with the input signal before sending it to the recording software, but I don't know how to correct this. I am wearing headphones, so the track one audio is not being picked up by the microphone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're propably using non native ASIO drivers w/ .rec source set to "What U Hear" or native ASIO drivers w/ rec source set to "Mix L".
Use native Craetive ASIO drivers (you should have there Creative ASIO, SB Audigy 4 ASIO and SB Audigy 4 24/96 ASIO to select from) and set input to "Mic n" for microphone, "Analog Mix L" for line source.
There are some explanation on ASIO drivers (it's made for Audigy 2 Plat eX but, I suppose it's about the same w/ A4 too.) behind link -->
    http://forums.creative.com/creativel...essage.id=1726
You can also use below settings for microphone when using CT ASIO:
Also, on Cubase LE, remember switch the Input Monitoring (speaker button on every track header) "ON" when recording and switch it OFF when playback/mixing.

  • Copying and pasting Garageband track data from a project file to another?

I am recording my music using an iBook and Garage band in the room where I havemy musical instruments and MIDI equipment. Then, using a one Gb Kingston memory stick, I move the files to my brand new 24" Intel iMac in another room. When the files are on the iMac hard disk I copy and paste tracks from the recorded files to the final project file for adjustment.
Initially this works but after saving the final project file and reopening it again many tracks have been lost?
    Questions:
    1. How to avoid this problem in Garageband? Is it a bug?
    2. Is it possible to extract the aif-files from the Garageband file and move them to another file by mouse dragging?
    3. Or is it better to record the music track by track using another program (like Audacity) and mouse drag the tracks then into the Garageband?
    Topias
    Intel iMac 24"   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    1. The way you are doing that, you are only copying pointers to the original file into your final project. As soon as you remove one of the single-track files, you'll get an error msg, and the recording is gone. To avoid this, you have to "Save as Archive" the final project each time you inserted a new recording!
    2. Yes, it's possible, but a bit tricky, and you risk damaging you projects:
    - Locate the source project in the Finder.
    - Ctrl-click it and select "Show Package Content".
    - Open the folder called "Media", and you'll see your recordings.
    - Pick the ones you want and drag them into your opened targed project.
