Copy contacts from Exchange ActiveSync to Regular?

The contacts on my phone are sync'd through my ex-company's exchange server. After leaving there, I no longer have access to the exchange server, but I dont want to lose all of my contacts. Instead of turning off the exchange account and deleting all of my contacts, I would like to just make them regular contacts and then sync as usual with my computer. Is that possible?
(Actually I would like to sync them with my gmail contacts, ideally over-the-air, but that is strictly bonus points! To start with, I just dont want to lost my contacts!)

I have suggestion! (not a tested solution =])
This is from the cuff as I sit here wondering how to make my e-mail notifier louder.
Export your GAL to an .xls file (spreadsheet).
Import your contact spreadsheet into a gmail or yahoo mail account.
Sync your iphone with the gmail address book and chose to MERGE the list.
I havent had a chance to test it but I was thinking that because they "merged" you can disconnect from the gmail/yahoo mail and keep the contacts sync'd.
Well that's my suggestion.... I wonder if it works =]
have a grrrreat day!

  • How do I copy contacts from exchange

Trying to copy contacts back onto my phone so they aren't only on exchange server.  Can't figure it out.

No such feature exists in iOS.
Export them or manage them via Outlook on a computer if you desire a second/backup copy.

  • Copy contacts from exchange to iCloud

I have all my contacts in an "Exchange account" on one iPhone6 and wish to copy them to iCloud and my new iPhone6 which is not connected to the exchange. Is it somehow possible to do this?

    Hi,
This has been an issue for a lot of people lately, including myself.
I personally prefer to have my contacts saved on apple's servers rather than microsoft's especially since I'm now using several apple devices.
I couldn't find any answers to this on the web, except exporting-importing manually each contact.
Worked that out by myself for a few hours and found this way of doing it "automatically" without the need of a computer, your iDevice will suffice!
Step 1 : have your windows live/exchange contacts synced on the idevice.
Step 2 : Install the Free application "My Contacts Backup" from the AppStore and make a backup.
Step 3 : Send the backup file to yourself via Email.
Step 4 : Make sure that the default contacts account on your iDevice is iCloud in "Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calender - Contacts - default account"
Step 5 : Open the backup file in the mail from the idevice and install all contacts.
Step 6 : Disable the contacts sync function of Exchange in "Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calender - your Echange Account name" if you do not want to have both in your contacts list. This will automatically delete all contacts on the iDevice from your Exchange account.
And Voila! Hope this will help a lot of people

  • "Copy" Contacts from Exchange

    Hy everyone,
I'm using the iPhone for a while now and i tried to "copy" my Exchange contacts to my iPhone. I had a phone from my company and also used it for private calls, so all my private contacts are on the exchange server.
Now, I have connected my iPhone to the Exchange server and all my contacts are on the iPhone, but if I want to delete the Account on my iPhone, all contacts will be deleted as well. I'm leaving the company in a month and I don't want to manually copy all my contacts.
    Any sugestions?
Thanks in advance and best regards.
    Tobi

  • Can you copy contacts from PHONE to SIM?

Does anyone know how you copy contact from  your phone memory to your sim card?? I have a backup phone which I use sometime when I go out but when I swap the sim cards over the numbers aren't ont here and I end up retyping them all.

    Hello,
    See this KB:
KB04205Copy a contact to your SIM phone book
To my understanding, it is a one-by-one function and not an "all" function. Mainly I believe this to be due to the fact that the SIM can only contain one phone number per contact while the BB Address Book can contain multiple addresses per contact.
    Good luck!

how do I copy contacts from one apple id to another?

I assume you mean you want to copy them from one iCloud account/ID to another.  If they're synced with iCloud go to Settings>iCloud, turn Contacts to Off, when prompted choose to Keep on My [iDevice], then delete the iCloud account, sign into the other iCloud account, turn Contacts back to On and when prompted choose Merge.  Note: when you delete the account it only deletes the account from the device, not from iCloud.  If you then want to go back to your previous account, delete the iCloud account from your device, when prompted choose Delete From My [iDevice], sign back into your other account, turn your iCloud data syncing back to On, and when prompted, choose Merge.

  • How do I copy contacts from an old SIM card?

Is there a way to copy contacts from an old SIM card to the iPhone? Thanks

the process i went thru was vigorous but it started by going to at&t and they sold me a flash drive for $15 and they transfered my numbers on there and then when i got home i had to go to att.com/support and type into the frequently asked questions, transfering contacts from sim to iphone and they gave me a program to download which extracted the numbers onto outlook and then i just synced my contacts from outlook but the at&t store will make it sound simpler than it seems

  • Copy contacts from iPhone to Address Book in Outlook

    Hi there,
I'm asking to see whether it's possible to copy contacts from an iPhone to the Address Book in Outlook, reason why I ask is that I am trying to help my Managing Director with his wife's Outlook issue as described in the following link http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-outlook/outlook-cont acts-wont-display-in-address-book/e7c919cd-3e68-4cab-9b21-4e0080827e21?tm=142262 7591302, if so please could you either instruct me on how to do this or to point me to some references on how to go about this.
    Kind regards,
    RocknRollTim

I have the same problem, sort of. When syncing iPhone with Windows Address Book, address entries that have more than one email address, get synced with only one email address. My only work around was to switch syncing address books from Windows Address Book to Outlook 2003. Now that iTunes 4 had messed up iPhone syncs with Outlook 2003's I've done one final sync with Windows Address Book, turn off the sync address feature in the sync window, and manually updated my address entries manually on the iPhone. I hope that Apple fixes this issue with Outlook 2003 soon, cause this is not why I shelled out $599 for a Treo upgrade!

What would be the easiest way to copy contacts from a Microsoft Outlook 2003 .pst file to iCloud, of not by synchronizing?
I am able to open the file with Microsoft Outlook 2003 and see, change and add the contacts. Synchronizing does not work.
