Copy CSS missing from my PS CS6 Extended?

Hi everyone
I just upgraded my CS6 Design Premium (OS X 10.8.2), and I can't for the life of me find the 'Copy CSS' option? I have Photoshop CS6 Extended 13.0.3, and everything else works great, but no matter what I try, there's no Copy CSS option. Any help?
Cheers, Hans

I can appreciate your concerns and wish the product offerings weren't complicated by accounting rules and things could be simpler for customers.
Creative Cloud is a response to our customers and the creative landscape that demands faster feature updates than were possible using traditional licensing and 18-month cycles. If we continued on with *only* the old perpetual license model, everyone would have to wait 18-months for the latest and greatest. Now, customers have the option to buy software and get feature updates the way they have always done so, with a traditional perpetual license every ~18-months, or buy their software through a monthly fee and recieve feature updates as the features become available. So, the old way that customers were happy with for the past 20 years is still available and we packed a ton of new features in to CS6 for customers who upgraded from CS5 to CS6. There's just a new option, in the form of Creative Cloud, available to customers who want even more out of their software.
The 'obscure' link I provided was relevent to your question and helps answer the differences in accounting rules for one-time, up-front payment and ongoing monthly payments of a membership. Sorry if it was a bit esoteric, but I figured it was better to point to more info than not.

  • Copied project missing from Project Library

Copied a project from one desktop to an external hard drive than to a different iMac. Can see the project file in the Movies folder, but can't get iMovie to open it. Thoughts?

You can't copy the project from the Finder of OS X, you have to do any moving and copying from within iMovie.
Also you can Consolidate which combines the Project and the associated clips from your Events folders.
The Project itself doesn't contain the actual video but rather references to the clips and clip segments you used from your events.
In iMovie go to Help, type Copy Project in the search and select the first entry. It explains.
Also you should search Consolidate and have a look at that.

  • Send a copy option missing from Numbers update

Updated Numbers a few weeks ago to the newest version. Under the Share menu, the option to "Send a copy via email" is missing. The only options are "Share via iCloud" and "Share Settings", which only allows me to toggle on/off the iCloud sharing feature. Any ideas if this is a bug or am I missing something?

A stab in the dark...but my guess now is that this is not a Numbers problem but something to do with sharing on your machine.
Though about Safari and not Numbers you may be able to find something applicable in this thread.
    Or this thread.
One test you might do is sign in as another user on your Mac and see if sharing from Numbers works on that account.

  • Why is my eyedropper missing from my InDesign CS6 toolbar?

I have searched and searched, and can't find it anywhere.  If has disappeared from my Toolbar, is there some way to restore it?  Another place I can find it?  I'm operating Yosemite on a new (within the past year) iMac.
    Thank you!
    --BILL

    Hi Michael,
Mystery solved... the fix was actually quite easy.  I don't know where the eyedropper went, but I did a "Find File" search on my iMac and could see that there was still an Eyedropper plug-in within my files.  So I did some more research online and someone with a similar problem on Adobe Communities had been advised to replace their InDesign preferences because they must have been corrupted.  I'm trying to post the URL where the info was, but since I had to sign in to Adobe to access the information, I can't post a direct link.  Once you're in Adobe Communities, it was under the thread titled "Troubleshooting 101: Replace, or "trash" your InDesign preferences
Actually, what Peter Spier, the respondent, said in a nutshell was this:
[When InDesign starts to behave strangely, the number one suggestion for troubleshooting is to replace (or trash, reset or restore) the application preferences. This will remove corrupt preferences and replace them with a new set of default preferences, and often end bad behavior.
There is a quick and easy method for doing this using the keyboard: close and relaunch InDesign, and IMMEDIATELY hold down Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift (Mac), and respond in the affirmative to the dialog asking if you really want to replace the preferences. There are two downsides to this method, however. First, you must be extremely fast on the keyboard (if you don’t see the confirmation prompt, you were too slow), and second, anytime you replace the preferences you will lose most program customizations, and using the keyboard method leaves you with no backup to restore them when the problem turns out to be something else.
My preferred method is to CLOSE INDESIGN and do a “manual” prefs replacement, which consists of finding and renaming the two files which make up the preference set: InDesign Defaults and InDesign SavedData. BOTH of these files should be replaced at the same time. You can delete them, but renaming or moving them will give you the opportunity to copy them back in the event that new prefs doesn’t cure your issue. When you restart ID, the program will look for these two files, and when they are not found, a new default set will be written.]
I did the first method... Cmd + Ctrl + Opt + Shift on my Mac.  Eyedropper magically reappeared in the toolbar on the left.  Easy peasy.
Appreciate your attempt to help.  The online community can be pretty awesome sometimes.

  • Presenter 8 Missing from eLearning Suite CS6 Install

After installing Adobe eLearning Suite CS6, I have a folder under startup with that name. See below for what programs are installed.. I am assuming that the Presenter Video Creator is an additional portion of the program.  Can anyone tell me where that application is located after install?
    Thanks

    Hi,
I was unable to understand your question correctly. "Can anyone tell me where that application is located after install? " Did you mean you want to know the location(where the file is located in your hard drive) of Presenter Video Creator ? You can also refer to this link(ensure you change the "show me" section from "new" to "all").
    Thanks

  • "Copy" label missing from copied layers

When I make a layer copy the new layer retains the name of the original. That is, it does not say "copy" anywhere! Very confusing! How can I fix this?

Look at the Layers Panel Options and verify you have Add "Copy" to Copied Layers and Groups checked.

  • Photoshop CS6 Extended Upgrade will not install

I have Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 Extended installed and activated on my system. The installation for the upgrade from disk for CS6 extended doesn't recognize that the CS5 Extended installation exists or accepts its serial number and I can't proceed. It also doesn't give me CS5 Extended as an option in the drop down menu for previous installations. CS5 shows as being activated on my computer. I did have to do a full system restore to a new hard disk some six weeks ago when my C drive crashed.

As Baljeet said, please clarify. Could be thast you simply have the wrong installer. if so, you may wish to get in touch with support. they can eitehr help you generate an install code or advise about exhanging the wrong media.

  • I want to download a trial version of CS6 not CS6 extended.

    HI
I want to download a trial version of CS6 not the extended version. If I want to buy it I dont want the extended version to be on my computer. Any suggestions please, as I can only find a link on Adobe to the extended version.

    Hi Bill,
I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing here.
I agree completely, with respective to the Trial version - having some options that you may or may not want available, to try them out, is not a problem.
But once I decide that I do or don't want those extra options, I would like to be able to install only the version with the features that I want.  I don't want my hard drive and registry to be cluttered with features/options of the extended version that I do not want.
So back to my original question - is it possible to purchase, and install, the 'plain' CS6 version, and not the CS6-extended version?  Again, I'm not talking about the trial version - I'm talking about the final purchased version installed on my computer.
Have I explained it better this time?  If I understand the replies above, they indicate that I will have the full CS6-extended version installed on my computer, regardless of whether or not I want that version.  The Serial Number/License I purchase will determine which version I will have available to use, but the whole installation will be the same, regardless, with unusued files, folders, etc. from the 'inactive' CS6-extended version.
    Thanks.

  • Adobe Helper for Ps CS6 Extended (OSX Lion)

I don't know if that was just me or not. You gotta to be kidding when I saw all legacy helper info still sitting inside Adobe Helper.
I was out of my curious running Adobe Helper from Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended. My goodness gracious, what is Adobe thinking?
This should haven't released much sooner. Adobe Helper itself is a messy helper app, it included legacy Master Collection CS5.5 apps along with the latest Master Collection apps CS6.
I don't want to see all of CS5.5 helper files sitting in Adobe Helper.
Where can I submit this feedback/bug?
Adobe Helper team should ought to be shame of themselves in this situation.
Anyone know any workaround solution to get rid all of legacy helper files? Please explain the steps in layman's terms.
    Thanks in advance.

The help files are for multiple versions, to be more discoverable through a web search.

  • Upgrade to CS6 extended

I have Photoshop CS6. Can I purchase Photoshop CS6 Extended as an upgrade without having to buy the full version? It says at checkout that I must own CS5. I went from CS4 to CS6, don't have CS5.
    sghall

You can, but I think you have to call Customer Support. Here is from the PS CS6 Extended FAQ:
Can I upgrade from Photoshop CS6 to Photoshop CS6 Extended?
Contact Adobe Customer Service at 800-833-6687 for assistance.
I'm sure they just charge the difference CS6 from to Extended. At least I hope they would!
From what I hear, all PS CS6 software is Extended, it just uses a different product activation number to unlock.

  • I have PS CS6 Extended Windows (from hard copy download which was for Windows only) on my desk top along with LR5.  On my laptop (Mac) I have LR5 . Are there updates for PS6 to add to my Mac Laptop?

I have Photoshop CS6 Extended windows version. Is there an update to allow me to also use it on my Mac laptop?

The disc you used would have been the install disc that came with your Mac. These can only be used on that as they are made for that specific model.
Make sure your machine meets requirements
Macs with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Core i3, Intel Core i5, Intel Core i7, or Xeon processor.)
    At least 2GB of RAM
Mac OS X 10.6.6 or later (Mac OS X 10.6.8 is recommended)
7 GB of free hard drive space is recommended
Once you've purchased it would be a good idea to create a bootable DVD or USB

  • Missing the install.app file for Adobe Photoshop CS6 Extended...

Recently, I purchased a new Mac computer. We noticed there was not a CD drive, so we moved the Photoshop files over to a USB from my old computer. But, when we tried to open and install Photoshop, the install.app file was missing. The other install files were only compatible with Windows computers.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

    KylieSommer wrote:
So, I checked out the second linnk and it says something about needing an upgrade if I don't have to most recent version? Does that mean I'll need to upgrade to Photoshop CC before I can get a cross grade? Or can I keep the CS6 Extended version?
Adobe loves confusing people with their marketing copy. Without trying, they often obfuscate the simplest of processes with poor wording.
The platform swap process only applies to perpetually licensed versions since they're tied to platform specific serial numbers: Mac or Windows, never both ( applies to CS6 and lower). Not CC which is licensed for both Mac and/or Windows via your Adobe ID, so there's no platform swapping necessary.
What Adobe is trying to say is that you can only swap platforms for the most current perpetually licensed version.
e.g. CS6 Windows can be transferred to CS6 Mac.
However, CS5 Windows cannot be transferred to CS5 Mac. You must pay the upgrade cost from CS5 to CS6 and swap platforms at the same time (that's a crossgrade). e.g. CS5 Windows to CS6 Mac is OK.
Photoshop CC is entirely different. It is available to anyone but only via subscription, even without ever previously owning any Adobe software. There's no upgrading or crossgrading. You simply join up - but keep in mind that you never own the software.
You don't need CS5 or CS6 to start subscribing to Photoshop CC. There's no connection with your CS5 license other than you can use your CS5 license to get a discounted rate for the first 12 months of CC membership.
