Copy Exchange Contacts to iPhone or iCloud

The problem started when I configured exchange account on my iPhone and I selected sync of Contacts also with the exchange account. I had quite a good number of contacts on my device, but once the exchange sync was done all the contacts became exchange contacts. So, if I remove Contact sync from exchange account settings, it deletes all the contacts from my iPhone (Even the contacts which I had even before I configured exchange account). Is there a way I can copy the contacts to my iPhone or iCloud, turn off the contact sync with exchange account and not loose any of the contacts.

You need to ensure that each device (including the MBP) is using iCal from iCloud (NOT a local version of iCal). Using the MBP as an example, click on the Calendars icon in the upper left corner and look for something similar to the following:
If it does not say ICLOUD at the top, there's your problem. Post back and we'll go from there.

This is not a question. This is an explanation of how to merge contacts from iPhone to iCloud.
I cant believe how difficult Apple makes this process. I figured it out on my own because Apple does not explain it. In fact, Apple hasn't even provided directions or guidance on this topic since 2012.
Here it is. Go to Settings on your iPhone. Go to iCloud. Un-hook the slider next to Contacts. Hook the slider next to Contacts. A pop up asks Merge, hit merge. This will copy all contacts in your iPhone to the Cloud.
Apple needs to get back to basics or risk losing customers.

If the contacts are solely on your iPhone and not apart of iCloud, go to Settings > iCloud and turn off Contacts. It will ask if you want to delete or keep the contacts on your iPhone. Go ahead and keep them on your iPhone. When that is done, turn it back on and iCloud will merge all that contact data back onto iCloud.

When connection your iPhone to iTunes, go to the "info"-tab (I think it's called), and check the box "Sync contacts from Address Book". This should do the job.

Having trouble with Outlook 7 on a PC (NOT MAC) not synching with the iCloud to my iPhone. Called Apple, the tech went through several steps, I kept asking him if he understood Outlook, said he did "enough" although he is a Mac user (of course0, and the upshot is that after hours of trying to make it work myself before calling, and spending 30 minutes on the phone with him, he had me uncheck the Contacts box on the iCloud control panel on my PC and now it is totally broken. Can anyone suggest anything that might work? He kept telling me their servers were causing problems, but the calendars were synching. I think it may be a problem in the contacts in Outlook. Maybe I need an Outlook specialist, if I can ever get the Contacts fixed on the iCloud control panel? At my wits ends.

On my iPhone, all my contacts are synched with my MobileMe Account. Now I've set up iCloud on my iPhone by creating a NEW iCloud account, with a different Apple ID (I mean, different from my MobileMe account and from my Apple Store/ITunes account, to test the new iCloud).
In fact I would like to move all my iPhone contacts to my new iCloud account. I have chosen the appropriate settings under iCloud settings, but (even after several days) my contacts have not synched with iCloud.
How can I do this?
I would like to avoid migrating my MobileMe account to iCloud for the time being.

I have left that company and want to know if the contacts that show up under the Microsoft Exchange account can be transferred to the basic iPhone contacts directory? Yes, if you turn off Exchange the contacts will disappear. Apparently, an app called iDrive Lite will allow you to export those contacts from the phone:

All worked.
After I settings->icloud->contacts on (backup on icloud is off)
After a while I noticed that all my contacts are empty.
Checked on www.icloud.com if my contats were available, but nothing.

Itunes does not store contacts.
The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer regularly. Your contacts should be in whatever program you have chosen to sync.

Syncing Exchange Contacts from iPhone to outlook 2003

I just recently left a company where I had Exchange set up on my iPhone for company emails, contacts, calendar, etc. I saved quite a few contacts that I pulled from Exchange to my iPhone. I just recently left the company and want to delete the email folder from my phone. The problem is, I don't want to lose the contacts. I just "turned off" wireless sync of my calendar and it deleted my entire calendar. How can I sync these contacts back to my personal PC? I have it set up to sync contacts in iTunes but they won't sync. Any help would be appreciated.

Not possible. Contacts synced over the air with an Exchange account or with a MobileMe account are kept synchronized with the server only. You can't sync contacts direct with a supported application on your computer via the iTunes sync process that were downloaded from the Exchange server and kept synchronized over the air with the Exchange server. It is possible to sync contacts over the air with an Exchange account or with a MobileMe account and sync contacts direct with a supported application on your computer via the iTunes sync process, but these contact data stored are kept separate.

Changing contacts from iphone to iCloud

I lost my iphone 4S and somehow the new owner managed to sync his contacts on my icloud. I've changed my apple id several times now, and in my new phone (actually my old 3S) I've placed an old back-up, so on my iphone I have my own contacts again.
But now it seems impossible tot get my own contacts back on my Icloud. It seems my Iphone can't replace the existing (not mine) contacts in Icloud

If your Mac is signed into your iCloud account and is syncing contacts with Address Book (Contacts), download the app My Contacts Backup to your 3GS and use it to back up the contacts on your phone to as a vCard attachment to an email that you send to yourself. Then go to icloud.com from your computervand delete the existing iCloud contacts by selecting a single contact, pressing Command-A to select them all, then pressing your Delete key. Now open the email you sent earlier on your Mac and tap the attachment to import the contacts to your Mac, and to iCloud. You can then enable iCloud syncing on your phone and allow the iCloud contacts to overwrite the ones on your phone.

My iPhone 4 won't sync the "all contacts" section of my phone to the iCloud contacts. I just want to put all of my contacts from my iPhone onto iCloud so they can then be synced to my Macbook Pro. As of right now I have an incomplete contact list on my Mac. Thanks for the help!

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that contact syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the contacts you are adding are added to your 'iCloud' group and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud group (you can do this by checking in groups), non iCloud contacts will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your contacts are in the iCloud group, you might try unchecking contact syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling contact syncing.

I wish to upload my contacts from my old iPhone to the icloud. I have opened and accessed the cloud and plugged-in the phone. I can see the contacts on the phone via the cloud but don't know how to save them to the cloud. Any help ?

It sounds like you want to sync the contacts on your iPhone to iCloud. If you have signed in to iCloud on the phone, your contacts may already be synced.
You can use the steps in these articles to verify that you're signed in to iCloud on your iPhone, and that Contacts are set up to sync:

You can also log in to iCloud.com to see your contacts and other information that's stored in iCloud.
