Copy Express - Copying Print Layout Designs from one company to another

Dear All,
i was wondering if one of you on the forum could help me with copy express.
I understand through the DIAPI, you cannot code to copy print layout designs, and if you copy the fields through SQL, SAP will no longer support the database.
It is the first time using Copy Express and am very confused about what to do.
Could someone post a step by step was of saving a design and then copying from one database to another.

You can do this......
Go to PLDs and save a different copy of every PLDs by making Save as and then try to copy such PLDs.
I also encountered such problem and I tried the same I suggest you.
So try once.....

Can't load Print Layout Designer from Query Manager

Hi All,
I'm facing this issue when I try to load the Print Layout Designer from Query Manager.
I define my own query report and I need to change the layout for the report.
When I click on the print layout designer button is nothing happen. I've check the the RDOC table the report already created in the RDOC.
How do I call out the layout to customize it?
Please advice.

If i remember correctly you must use the menu at the top. Click tools->queries->query layout designer.

How to copy attributes (as in which playlists) from one song to another

Hi,
Does anyone know how to copy the characteristics of a song--as in which playlists it appears in--from one song to another, so that the new song then appears on all those same playlists also? Or, if not, maybe you have some other idea for me:
I'm working with a Mac. I have several hundred playlists with ~100 songs each, and about 3,500 songs in my iTunes. Most of these songs are currently AACs. I've realized I have a problem: If I want to burn disks with MP3-format songs, I will need to convert the AAC to MP3s to burn them. If I don't want to have thousands of duplicate songs, I will need to trash the AAC versions of those songs from my library. If I do that, they will disappear from the playlists they are currently in (one song might be in 20 different lists). If I had to manually take each MP3 version created, look at which playlists the original AAC version is in, drag the MP3 version to each playlist, and delete the AAC version, it would take a Looooong time. Does anyone know of any shortcuts? For example, is there some way to copy the information about which playlists a given song is in and then paste that info onto the new version so it now appears also in these playlists? Or some other idea? Thanks very much!

Can you copy custom To Do List settings from one project to another?

Using RH9. We created a number of To Do List entries for one of our Robohelp projects that we now want to use in all of our RH projects (File > Project Settings > Manage To Do List for Robohelp Project). Is it possible to copy these entries from one project to another? Or do we need to re-create the list of To Do tasks for each one of our 20+ projects?

The "To Do" list items appear to be stored directly in the ProjectName.XPJ file. So theoretically it would be possible to copy them by opening one XPJ using Windows Notepad, copying them, then opening the target XPJ and pasting. However, this will likely cause a disparity between the XPJ and the .CPD. So before actually opening the project where you are copying them into, you would want to close the project and delete the CPD. Then modify the XPJ and re-open the project. A fresh CPD should then be baked up and things should be in sync.
You might also want to submit a Wish Form to ask for an easier way to transfer custom lists. (link is always in my sig)

Copying an entire software instrument track from one project to another

Hello,
Is it possible to copy or import one entire software instrument track from one GB 3.0.2 project to another? At the moment I've got to copy a region from one project, open another project, paste it in the 2nd project, and open the other one again (which appears to close the 2nd project) to copy the second region. This is incredibly cumbersome because I can't have both projects open at the same time.
Has anyone found a less tiresome method to do this?

The easiest work-around I can imagine is to join all regions of the track and copy that. Another option is to freeze the track, which will turn it into normal audio. You might also add your MIDI parts to the library. That will avoid the need to switch between projects, but does require one or two more actions.

How to copy very large number of files from one drive to another???

I'm a fairly experienced Mac user for serveral years but this problem really has me stumped.
I'm trying to copy or move 152,000 files from one external drive to another drive. I can highlight (Cmd - A) all the files on the first drive and drag them to the second drive but Finder always shows 32,768 files being copied no matter what I try.
Any and all suggestions on how to move/copy a large number of files from one external drive to another are greatefully appreciated.

I would use the command line tool rsync.
For instance with: rsync -av source-dir destination-dir
-a The files are transferred in "archive" mode, which ensures that symbolic links, devices, attributes, permissions, ownerships, etc. are preserved in the transfer.
-v Verbose, so you see the progress.
Rsync is fast and really, really powerful and many times used in shell scripts and the like to automatically backup and/or sync stuff. Google a bit for more info.

Need to Copy a subform along with content from one page to another page

I am new to Adobe Live Cycle .
I am facing a particular problem in one scenario.
I have a growing list of item i.e the number of Items are uncertain. I have put all these item in a sub form.
Now I need a copy of this sub form from the First page to the 2nd Page.
Basically , I want to copy a Subform along with the content from one page to another.
Can anybody please help me.

In source project open Tempo List (the one that is a list editor). Select all tempo changes and "copy them (command+c)
close project
Open destination project, open Tempo List delete all information and paste (command+V). Remember that Logic should be stopped at the exact position where the first tempo event happens. This is ussually 1.1.1.1, but check it in the source before closing it.

How do I copy a GarageBand for iPad part from one song to another?

Surely this must be an obvious thing, but I see no way to do it.
I am working on 2 versions of song on my iPad. I want to copy a part from one song to the other.
I know I can duplicate the entire song, but that is not the same.
I really need help on this one and I'll be most disappointed if it's a basic feature Apple have not provided - I'm writing a soundtrack and at the moment and bought the app and to some extent the iPad especially to write on the road, but this will mean we have to abandon GarageBand for iPad entirely if its not possible.
The other secondary question is why can't you copy parts (using Sonoma copy/paste or similar) OUT of GarageBand into other apps? Another basic function Apple should not have skimped on. This is necessary to, say, apply an effect externally and bring it back to GarageBand for mixdown. I'll raise this separately too.

Hi Here is a guide I wrote about bouncing tracks in GarageBand for iPad. You could use the methods in here to bounce the track you want to open in another app in to Hokusai , into your other app, and then back into GarageBand. I hope this helps! Cheers

I would like to copy some part of the project clip into another new project. I would able to copy Video and its sounds but not external voiceover sound which is attached to the project.
Can anyone please tell me how to copy voiceover part as well with video?

Thanks for the mention of the Project Archiver. As I normally set up Projects on externals, in anticipation of migrating them between my computers, I had just not thought to mention that. The OP will benefit from that tip!
One thing for the OP to remember is that many systems will not boot properly, if a thumbdrive is attached first. Many USB devices get in the way, if plugged in and turned on, prior to boot up. My Epson printer MUST be turned OFF, or my laptop will not boot. Many have had the same thing happen with most thumbdrives too.

How can I copy develop settings on multiple images from one folder to another?

I have a bunch of Fuji X-T1 raw images that I have converted to DNG form. Once Lightroom supports X-T1 raw images directly, I would like to replace the DNG files by the corresponding raw files (which I have saved) without having to redo all of my edits.
I've tried an experiment with a NEF file, which Lightroom supports: If I convert it to a DNG file, import the DNG file, then replace the DNG file with the corresponding NEF file, Lightroom still thinks the file is named DNG. This behavior makes me nervous.
So what I would like to do is to import all of the Fuji raw files, then transfer the develop settings from each DNG file to the corresponding raw file, then finally archive and delete the DNG files.
Is there any way to do this other than by hand? That is, if I have a folder with a few hundred DNG files, is there any way to tell Lightroom to take the develop settings of every file in the folder and transfer them to the correspondingly named file in the folder of raw files?
If not, can someone suggest to me a way of accomplishing this that does not involve copying and pasting the data for every image by hand?

Copy and Paste audio track MIX from one track to another??

What's the best way to handle this.
I have a video with one long music track, that I mixed using Adobe Premiere's Audio Mixer.
The musician made a new version of the track with some very slight modifications in the music.
Rather than having to remix the entire new track, I would prefer to either:
1) Copy and paste the attributes of the orginal audio track onto the new music track -- retaining the Mix I did from the original mix. Is this possible? I tried it once and it did not seem to work. (I used the Mixer, not keyframes, to do all of the mix.)
or
2) Is there a setting in Premiere's Audio mixer to "gang" the new track to the old one -- with the new track cloning the old track's mix.
Or would it be better to bring the two audio tracks into Soundbooth and do it there?

I did a complicated mix on one long background music track and was not looking forward to doing that remix because of various minor music changes made by the musician scattered throughout that long track.
Your Alt (for replace solution) worked perfectly and saved me a ton of time.
The fact that Copy attributes for Audio doesn't work for copying audio keyframes is another reason do do audio mixes using the Mixer instead of using keyframes to adjust volume.

Isues copying a Lightroom 5.5 catalog from one computer to another.

I have the following weird issue, see if somebody can help. I have to computer (an iMac and a MacBookAir), both running the same version of the OS (latest at this moment). I have also Lightroom 5.5 running on both computers. I want to bring one of my catalogs from the iMac to the Air, and for that I copy the catalog files and the photos over. The weird thing is that when I try to open the recently copied catalog in the Air, Lightroom ask to convert it to Lightroom 5 first, like if it comes from an older Lightroom release. It is a Lightroom 5 catalog already! How come? If I proceed, it created a new version of the catalog (with a 5 at the end), but when it finally opens it's not really the same, missing collections for instance. Any ideas of what could be wrong? I've done exactly the same with some of my other catalogs, and everything is fine.

HOw to copy a playlist on Creative Mediasource from one HD to another

I recently had to install a new HD on my computer. The new HD is now the master dri've. The old HD is still in the computer and used to back up files. I had to reinstall my Creative media source organizer on the new HD but can't get access to the playlist? on the old HD. I can no longer run Creative Organizer on the old HD. Is there a way to recover the playlist for use on the new setup? Is there a way I can copy the playlist from my Zen Vision M to the HD? I'd hate to recreate all of my playlists. Help is desperately needed please.

This would require renaming the files on the computer.
iTunes is not going to do this magically when copying files to the flash drive, iTunes does not even copy/sync files to a flash drive.
