COPY FGroup M61N in ECC 5

Hi Folks,
There is a strange issue. We are able to copy standard function group in ECC6 and 4.7 but we are unable to do the same in ECC 5.
When we tried to copy it is giving error saying TOP include is inactive though it is active.
Can any one provide your inputs? If it is SAP product error how to raise a help request for the same?

hi,
please check for the following points:
1. check in ME21N, are referncing properly or not...
You have to reference it via using the document overview ON or directly entering the PR as source document for the PO...
2. check whether is getting properly saved in the table EBAN/EBKN...check it in SE16...you can check as per the document number...
3. If nothing is helping you from the above two points check with the ABAP and BASIS consultant...

Local client copy giving trouble SAP ECC 6.0

Hello All,
I installed SAP ecc 6.0 Implementation version. Then created 100 client as Development and 200 client as Golden client.
Our Functional people are using 100 client for development activities.
Now Functional people need sand box client 300.
Created 300 client by using 000 client, user ddic. Using transaction scc4.
Logged on with 300 client, user sap*, p/w pass. Gone to sccl transaction trying to copy 100 client data to 300 client.
BUT IT IS SHOWING
Runtime Errors            TIME_OUT
Date and Time              10.01.2008 11:12:12
Shot dump has not been completely stored ( too big)

Time Limit exceeded.
What happened?
The program SAPLSDBI_DYNSQL has exceeded the maximum permitted runtime with out interruption and has therefore been terminated
VIRTUAL MEMORY PROBLEM I AM GETTING, TRY TO GIVE THE SOLUTION FOR SOLVING THE ISSUE.

Configuration is not copied from CRM to ECC

Hi,
We have one contract in CRM and configuration for the line items are done in CRM. Now when that contract is replicated in ECC, configuration of that line item is not copied. So when we create sales order with respect to that contract in ECC, we will have to do the configuration manually.
We have observed that the item category for the particular line item in question is active for configuration in CRM and not customized to configuration in ECC. Is it because of that the configuration is not replicated?

the configuration (variant configuration and not customization) that is done in CRM contract is not copied to ECC contract. Is it because that item category in CRM is activated for doing the BOM configuration and the same in ECC is not activated for doing the BOM configuration?
My question is that if item category in ECC is not activated for BOM configuration then is it like that the BOM configuration in CRM will not be copied to ECC?

Query for copying standard program in ECC 6.0

My problem is when i copy a standard program to my Z program in ECC and then try making some changes there it says new enhancement point will be created (specific to top include in function module).Kindly suggest what action needs to be taken for above problem.

How to Copy a Non-unicode ECC 6.0 SR3 to WIN2008 and MSSQL2008

Good morning,
how can I make a homogeneous system copy of my NON-UNICODE ECC 6.0 (Nw 7.0 SR3) to a new machine running Windows Server 2008 and MSSQL 2008?
According to OSS note 1152240 to install SR3 on SQL2008 I have to generate and use a "SR3 modified installation master DVD".
My problem is that SR3 installation disk doesn't allow non-unicode installations.
Can I use SR2 installation disk, and modify it the some way I should do with SR3 installation disk?
Note 1054740 says "SAP products prior to NetWeaver 7.0 SR3 are not supported on Windows Server 2008", but I would
not run the SR2 system, just perform the installation and copy my "SR3 database" back. This should not be a problem as the
diference between SR2 and SR3 is at support package level. Is this correct?
Can the SR2 installation disk be changed in the some way of the SR3 disk, as described on note 1152240, and be used with
SQL2008?
Is there any way to move non-unicode ECC 6.0 to WIN2008 + SQL2008?

Hi,
If you are copying you can create a NON Unicode system, The installation for NEW systems is only permited for Unicode but if you are using SAPInst for copying your system, then it will ask if you are copying an Unicode system or not and will left it Non Unicode in the Target. So you could copy your system with no problem I´m pretty sure about this because we are running some copies (8 systems) and we have non unicode systems and we are using SR3 master DVD.
Just do the chages to the master DVD so you could use it on Win2008

How to copy preferences (keywords, layout ecc.) of Aperture?

I'm using Aperture in my PowerMac and now also with the MacBook Pro. Is it possibile copy all the program preferences from one location to the other? Preferences like keywords, export pre-set, toolbar setup ecc.? I know that it is possible export, for example, the keywords but after I need to import in the new location... I preefer a system to take all the setups in one time and copy it.

Or more in general, how to sync the libraies and vaults without one designated master? I have the same setup as you, Desktop (iMac G5), Laptop (MBpro) and a firewire backup device connected to the G5.
How should one go about to keep all the libraries synchronized? If I change something on the MBpro or on the G5 I want to copy the changes to the other computer as well. If I delete stuff on one machine it should go from the other as well. Under Unix one could use tools like CVS to do this, but it would cost quite a bit of disk space, since that software doesn't know about binary files.

1. SAP_ALL profile would not copied using export/import method (SAP ECC --> BW ABAP) as most of the tables of ECC are not present in BW (mismatch of data dictionary structure).
2. You can copy SAP_USER (user master record)
3. If your ECC and BW systems are not in same transport landscape/shared transport directory (trans group), then copy/ftp the export files from ECC (data and cofile) to BW system (same path - usr/sap/trans) and add the transport requests manually to import buffer of target system/client.

Error copying company code in ECC 6.0

Hi all,
I encounterred the error "Enter numeric value only" aftern copying company code.
This problem is exactly the same with Copying of Company Code
However, I couldn't find the note Note 547875 that he mentioned in the thread.
I also tried to create company code before copying but no help.
Can anybody help?

This is what u need to do to resolve this error:
The problem is caused by an error in Customizing.
The TNIW5 Customizing table is a table with delivery class = C (= Maintenance only by customers - No SAP import). SAP has delivered entries in the TNIW5 table from earlier releases in the incorrect format (entries with the field contents '12') for the TNIW5-REICHWEITE field.
Solution
Use Transaction SE16 to delete all entries in the TNIW5 table that have the two-digit contents '12' in the 'Range of coverage' field.
If you want to use the lowest value determination by range of coverage (Transaction MRN1) with valuation level = company code, you can maintain your own customer-specific Customizing entries in Transaction OMW5.

VOFM Routine Copy in ECC 6.0

Hi,
When I copy a VOFM routine in ECC 6.0 (say billing document routine 001 copied to 901) to a custom routine, I see some messages regarding the existing enahancement points & sections, which do not allow me to activate the copied routine. Can any one of you suggest a good practice to copy the routine in ECC 6.0 environment.

Hi,
When ever you are copying it from the standard routine. The enhancement points and sections available in the standard will also be copied into the custom. So, Place the cursor on Enhancement-pont or Enhancement-section and right click select the option enhancement-> undo. Once you do this the enhancements will be deleted from custom routine and then you can activate it.

BDLS t-code Doubt after copying existing ECC to the new ECC

We are creating a new ECC client by copying other already exist ECC Client with SAP_ALL Profile. Both are at ECC 6.0. Source and Destination ECC have Development and Demo Server respectively.
Old ECC Client : ECDCLNT801
New ECC Client : PHDCLNT902 (Created by copying ECDCLNT801 with SAP_ALL Profile)
After Creation of Client , We run two BDLS t-code in PHDCLNT902.
Source : ECDCLNT801 and Target : PHDCLNT902 (On selecting Client Dependent and Independent Tables)
After done this I am getting the same GUID no in CRMPRLS table for both ECCs.
Is it fine having same GUID no. for PHDCLNT902 and ECDCLNT801 in CRMPRLS table as mentioned PHD 902 is the copy of ECD 801 with SAP_ALL profile , so the GUID should have different or the same?
Or have to delete that entry from PHD 902 and again need to re run *BDLS * to get the new GUID at PHD 902?

Error on saving the servicee order ( Error while copying doc into ECC)

Hi,
On saving the service order I am getting an error sayin : Error occurred while copying the document into ECC. I have checked the detailed error log on WEBUI. It is showing the below:
"Enter a (default) purchasing group for material group 900000000 (Notification E CRM_SRV_LOG_EXT_OLTP 002)"
Could you please let me know, Where do we maintain the above data.

I just added some fields to free characterstics.
Actually in Transport Connection n RSA1, its shown that the query is saved in a transport number. But other user can edit the query even if no task is there in his name undr that transport. Task in my name is there but I am not able even to save the query.
If its already in transport , how another user can edit and save it.
And if it is getting saved to $ Tmp, why is it so, as it is already in a transport request.

BP EEWB field in CRM to ECC zfield in KAN1

Hello all ..
I have added few custom fields to BP through EEWB and want them to replicate to ECC .
Here are the steps I followed ...
We are on CRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0
1) Added the fields in same order as EEWB in BSS_CENTIX (component type GB_BAPIUPD ) and BSS_CENTI ( data element/domain same as in BUT000) in ECC
2) Maintained table TBE24, Create a product and mark it active in ECC.
Maintained table TBE34 for the event DE_BALE with same product and Function module = Z_INTERFACE_DE_BALE
( copy of SAMPLE_INTERFACE_DE_BALE ) in ECC
3) I wrote the code in Z_INTERFACE_DE_BALE and mapped the custom fields to structures in the CT_IDOC_DATA.
I have mapped custom field/Z field in KNA1 to the eewb field in Z_INTERFACE_DE_BALE like this...
extended the Idoc i.e added a custom segment ZE1KNA1M under E1KNA1M
But still the field is not getting replicated. ( though eewb fields are replicated to standard fields in Kna1)

We have similar kind of requirement. Would like to know whether you are using BDOC to transfer BP created in CRM to R3? In this function module Z_INTERFACE_DE_BALE, if we populate the idoc structure for the required fields will it update the customer with required field information.

Hi,
With ASM I strongly recommend using rman. RMAN is the only way to keep you out of small problems down the road.

You can restore the database to that server if duplicate does not do the job.

Homogeneous System Copy to Upgrade Propouse

Hi all,
We're pretending to do a Homogeneous System Copy from a SAP ECC 5.0 that runs on Windows_X64 Server with DB2 8.1 . The target DB release is DB2 9.5 ( Windows_X64 Server).
We've read from IBM Help Page that DB2 8.2 it can be upgraded directlly to 9.x.
What is the right roadmap?
OPTION 1:
Backup offline of old DB2 8.1 enviroment.
- Run sapinst install centrall instance
- Run sapinst to install Database instance with 9.5 RDBMS full installation.
- Restore backup from 8.1 ?
or it will be:
OPTION 2:
Backup offline of old DB2 8.1 enviroment.
- Run sapinst install centrall instance
- Run sapinst to install Database instance with DB2/UDB RDBMS V8 FP18 Windows_X64 Server - Full Install .
- Restore backup from 8.1
- Upgrade to 9.5 ?

are you really using DB2 V8.1 ( DB2 V8 with fixpack level < 7 ) ?
not sure if OPTION 1 works since your DB2 V8 version is so old. Is it an option to upgrade your fixpack level on your source database first and apply OPTION 1 afterwards.

How to convert Tables in ECC to Tables in 4.6C

Friends,
I have a unique requirement where I need to copy the smartform from ECC to 4.6C. Everything seems to beokay except filling the table. I have a table in Main window with 2 line types. first one has only one cell (header) and 2nd one has 3 cells with item data. for each of the cell I have some abap code ( program lines node) and one text element. so when I write define them I see all of them under Table node in a messy format. even I am not able to see which program line code is related to which text element and CELL.
Can anyone advice me how to define in order to place the data in relevent cells ?

Hi Reddy,
No problem, these setting can be a bit tricky.
For your text elements, the first element in the row you need to check the 'New line' box and specify your line type, this will put the text in the first cell of that line. For each other element in the row only check 'new cell', this will put each element into a new cell working across the row. The 'Skip cells' field should only be filled if you want to leave a cell in the row blank and fill the next one.
