Copy file path to clip board context menu

I remember seeing somewhere, a contet menu add on, so when you right click a file, an option to copy the file's path to the clip board is available.
anyone know where I can find/download this?
thx!

Is this what you're looking for (look at FilePathToClipCMPlugin on that page)?

  • Pre-configure save location for converting files to PDF from shell context menu

    Hi all,
    I like Acrobat's integration into the Windows Explorer through the shell context menu command "Convert to PDF", which allows me to drag select a number of files (word documents et cetera) to batch convert them into PDF. It beats doing batch processing fr the Acrobat interface.
    However, it asks me for the save location of each file individually. I would like to have them saved in the same directory as the original file, as the default option so I won't have to attend to the conversion. I can't find such an option in Acrobat's preferences menu though
    Any gurus or users here know of a way around that?
    Regards,
    Jay

    Does your user have custom add-ons besides the Acrobat PDFMaker add-on?  If so, try disabling the other add-ons as a test to see if you get the same results.
    Does your user have a custom template?  Try moving it out and using the standard MS Word template as test?
    Did your user have a previous installation of Adobe Acrobat??  If so, check the Add-ons to see if an older version is still registered with MS Word.

  • How to not display the file path when converting a file to pdf from the context menu

    When I right click an html file and choose convert to pdf, Acrobat puts the original file's path and creation date at the bottom of the pdf, how do I stop it doing this?

    excellent, thanks. For future readers:
    open acrobat
    click create
    click create from web page
    click settings...
    under PDF Settings uncheck "Place headers and footers on new page"
    click ok

  • Copy File Path?

    Is there any way to copy the file location path like how you can in Windows? ie, when you press "get info" under general info, it displays where the file is eg. /Users/bc/Desktop/file.doc
    is there any way to copy this piece of text easily and paste in an email?

    Sorry for the confusion. Well, for the life of me, I did not notice the incomplete posix path in the GetInfo window. Yeah, some movement. OS 10.3 GetInfo window lists the path with colons. OS 9? Hey, I just created a text file named my/new/file. I looks fine and opens fine in the Finder. In the other user interface:
    % cat my/new/file
    cat: my/new/file: No such file or directory
    Yes, I know about the smoke and mirrors. But path separators allowed in one interface but not the other? Choose one and use it! The path drop down menu doesn't work for me either. Can I construct a posix path?
    % cd /g5/g5drive/
    cd: no such file or directory: /g5/g5drive/
    I could go on but I'll stay on topic. My old friend the Finder needs an overhaul.

  • Copy to clip board

    I've tried to copy a graph to clip board by using EXPORT IMAGE Property node.But when i pasted it on a word document i got a black & white image without border like the one here in attachmement.How to get the colour image Programatically (not through short cut menu)?

    If you don't mind a Windows only solution (which I assume you don't), you can try using the VIs we used in the Code Capture Tool, which allow copying a bitmap to the clipboard.
    If you want to insert the image into a Word document, you might also try using Word's object hierarchy. There should probably be some examples in the example finder (Help>>Find Examples) and it's possible that the report generation toolkit already allows you to do this.
    Try to take over the world!

  • Copying a path creates a duplicate graphic style

    When copying a path by using the the menu commands, if there is any graphic style associated with that path, a duplicate graphic style will be made.  We deal with copying hundreds of lines.  As a result, we are left with hundreds of graphics styles that are duplicates.  This slows the program down by a significant amount.  Is there any fix to this?  We do use the ALT shortcut when we can, which does not create duplicate graphic styles. But, there are some instances where this cannot be used.

    I'm going to take a guess here - if you create a brand new document and do not paste anything into it, but create a path, apply a Graphic Style, then copy and paste that path, you do not see this problem right?
    If that is correct, then my guess is that you frequently work with files where some of the content was created in a much older version of Illustrator and you should refer to this knowledge base article to see if it can help: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/408/kb408008.html

  • The item Hierarchical Context Menu does not support pre-calculation

    Hello,
    Trying to download pre-calculated web templates via RepAgent, using the Hierarchical Context Menu feature within the template (populated via control query with Hierarchy) the system returned the following message upon file download:
    "The item Hierarchical Context Menu does not support pre-calculation"
    As a result the Hierarchical Context Menu is not displayed on the downloaded html-files. Navigation not possible.
    Could not find any constraints documented in the online help, at this point.
    Question: is there something missing on our setup or is this really out of scope for precalculation with navigation?
    Any other experiences on that or shall we open OSS-message?
    Best regards,
    Markus
    (We are on BW3.1)

    Hi,
    we have the same problem. Does anybody have any hint or workaround? Is there a solution for this in 3.5 or any upcoming version.
    Any input is appreciated.
    Thanks,

  • Using a real file path to include a JSP using RequestDispatcher

    Hi,
    I am trying to figure out how to use RequestDispatcher inside a servlet to include a jsp page using a real file path instead of a context path. So for example I would want to do something like...
    RequestDispatcher rd = this.getServletContext().getRequestDispatcher("c:/tomcat/conf/think.jsp");
    Is this possible? tomcat is complaining that the path does not start with a "/"
    From a higher level I am trying to setup a solution where all of my web applications can share a set of global jsp pages and other resources. I know the easiest solution would be to put everything into one web application but this does not make sense in my situation because I have differnet web applications for different companies on the same server. Any help would be greatly appreciated. - krebsnet

    First of all...
    My test environment is Tomcat 4.1.24 and it runs on port 80 as my webserver as well.
    I can place the .jsp (or .html) in the shared folder. Not in the lib or class folders but right in the shared folder. I can then call it from multiple contexts without using the context path. Just tested it a minute ago. For example I have test.jsp in the shared folder and loaded it from two separate contexts (one named /demo and one named /inetapps) by calling Load test. It loaded in both of them and neither contain a test.jsp file.

  • Firefox hangs when opening any context menu - save as, download window, options window, etc

    this is the third time i've had this problem with firefox...
    firefox hangs when trying to download images, files, etc. the right click context menu opens (with bookmark, save page, save image, etc options) but after selecting an option, save image or whatever, the actual save as dialogue box doesn't open and firefox locks up.
    many pages say to open the download pane and clear the history... i can't do that as trying to open the download pane locks it up, too. as does trying to open any other dialogues.
    the first time this happened the only solution i could find was a total wipe and re-install (simple uninstall/re-install didn't work... it had to be weeded out of the registry manually).
    the second time i just happened to be rebuilding my system, so i just did a fresh install on a fresh OS.
    this time i can't seem to resolve the problem with uninstall and re-install...
    help?

    found out what was doing it!
    after trying firefox safe mode and windows safe mode and any number of other things i'd kinda given up for a bit there, but i woke from a dream in the middle of the night thinking "based on the behaviour involved it *must* be something in the shell that's causing this." (sorry, i dream in geek.)
    so i grabbed a shell viewer editor - ShelleExView (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html) (had to use an icky, lesser browser to be able to download it) and gave it a run.
    i listed all the extensions by the date they were added as a clsid and tried to think back to when the problem began... about a month or so after a fresh system reinstall. and through a little trial and error disabling i found the culprit.
    it was an icon overlay handler put in by something called WagerLogic. after looking into the company name i'm going to have to assume this was related to one of the annoying "come lose real money at our virtual casino" pop-ups that infest the net nefariously panning for an easy mark like dickensian orphans.
    i disabled it et voila! firefox is back to full function again.

  • MW64,  cs6 bridge when I move or copy files the  context menu does not retain  recent folder destinations after I close the program

    W64,  cs6 bridge when I move or copy files the  context menu does not retain  recent folder destinations after I close the program. The context options that show are the ones from original install. The workspace I set up is also gone. I have every explorer box and cleaner checked to save recent. Had to disable nivedia desktop software because of weird display conflict. Have Dell pro support and they cannot fix. Any ideas to help me with this would be appreciated.

    Self-solved!  I work in column view in Finder so get there in a Finder window with folders and files appearing.
    There really is no problem, just select an ITEM in the COLUMN before right-clicking!
    The "old" context menu will appear. If you click in the white space in that column (or anywhere in a Finder window) and then place the cursor over a folder or file WITHOUT selecting it and right-click you will bring up the secondary context menu - Open, Copy, Duplicate, View Options and a greyed out Labels option. No "Move to Trash".

  • [TUTORIAL] Context Menu to export EML files

    Hello there folks!
    I'm pretty new to the topic of C3PO, GW and all the Novell stuff and one of my tasks was to "code an export mechanism for GW8 thats lats us save e-mails to our storage system". Ok, that was a hammer. But wrapping my head around it and starting to error out the things got me pretty far and I guessed it was tutorial material. So here we go:
    @Moderators: This is the thread that has everything in it. the other one can be deleted.
    This tutorial is intendend for C# only. I don't like VB and I'm too dumb for C++ so if you need it for another dialect you need to work it out your self.
    Agenda:
    Needed packages
    C3PO wizard
    Loading to Visual Studio 2010
    Needed Imports/References
    Simple MessageBoxing
    Export Code
    Registering and caching the .DLL
    Testing (please help me with a better way here)
    1. Needed packages
    the novell-gwc3po-devel-2012.11.15.zip file (unzip this after downloading)
    an installed version of Visual Studio 2012 C# (or if you want to work with a different dialect choose another)
    cmd access to some of the registering tools:
    It may be the best thing to set tose paths up in you env variables. Allthough when running the cmd with administrator privileges you can't use regasm from env variables and need to cd to the directory.
    RegAsm (regasm.exe): C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319 (the version depends on the target)
    GACUtil (gacutil.exe): C:\Program Files(x86)\Micrsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\Bin\NETFX 4.0 Tools\ (this path is also dependent on your target framework version, I chose .NET4)
    StrongName (sn.exe): C:\Program Files(x86)\Micrsoft SDKs\Windows\v7.0A\Bin\NETFX 4.0 Tools\ (this path is also dependent on your target framework version, I chose .NET4)
    a good beverage :D (you should obtain multiple of these :D)
    2. The C3PO wizard
    In my case I wanted to add the functionality via the context menu. So the code executes when right-clicking on one or multiple messages displays another menu item and is clickable.
    This is pretty easy to realize via the C3PO wizard. You'll find it in the downloaded and extracted novell-gwc3po-devel-2012.11.15.zip from above. Start it (it is located in extracted-zip-folder/gwc3po-FILES/C3POWizard/C3POWizard.exe) and setup your project:
    Setup the project in the wizard step 1
    I usually setup the Wizard inside my Visual Studio 2010 projects folder, create a new folder there with the name of the project and check the options i want to have.
    In the next step I chose which type of View should display my custom context menu. Since I was only interested in exporting and working with e-mails I chose "GW.MESSAGE.MAIL" and added it to the bottom list via, you guessed it, "Add".
    Setup theView that invokes the new context menu item
    In the next step you I had to setup a new entry for the context menu. You could make side-droppable menus here etc. But for me a simple "Add Menu" was enough. Give it a name of your choice (beware: I'm yet to find out where to change this setting in the source files).
    Creating a Menu Item in step 3
    Click through next and the wizard will sum up you choices. In the next dialog window you will be prompted to specify the language you want the code to be generated. I chose .NET C#.
    In the prompt after that you will be asked if the wizard should create a .DLL-project. You click yes.
    Quit the wizard with the "Done" button.
    3. Loading to Visual Studio 2010
    Open up your Visual Studio and go to File -> Open Project. Navigate to the folder where you just created the files with the C3PO-Wizard. and open up the .csproj file.
    All the files get loaded and it seems quite well. but now it's time for some other stuff: Signing, or better, providing a key for signing.
    Allthough the README.txt (also in your project folder) states this is not neccessarily needed I did not get it to work without a key file.
    Open up a terminal and tpye in sn /? to see if the environment variables work. If not you can yuse the abolute path to sn (see: 1: Needed packages). If everything works as expected you can generate your keyfile with sn -k <PathToYourProject>\Archive.snk.
    In Visual Studio, go to Project -> <ProjectName>-Properties -> Signing -> Sign assembly [x] -> Search and pick the .snk-file you just created.
    Good. A first compilation of the project with F6 should rumble through without problems. Go to <ProjectFolder>\bin\Release and copy the .dll files to <GroupWiseInstallPath>.
    After that you need to open a cmd windows as administrator and cd to the RegAsm.exe directory and execute the following: [I]regasm "<GroupWiseInstallPath>\<TheDllName>.dll". Then execute gacutil -i "<GroupWiseInstallPath>\<TheDllName>.dll".
    RegAsm will register the extension to the Windows registry and GACUtil will cache the .dll content to make it available to GroupWise.
    You need to re-cache the .dll everytime you compile in VS. So basically the workflow is Compile -> Copy dll to GroupWise directory -> re-cache with gacutil -i -> Start Groupwise
    I have not found a method to post-build execute a script that does that. Problem is the copying and the gacutil caching (both must be done as administrator).
    IIf everything worked you see a new entry in the context menu when right-clicking a mail in Groupwise. When you click it, there will appear a message box.
    The MessageBox is defined in GWCommand.cs L. ~125
    4. Needed Imports/References
    Since we got the skeleton to compile and function properly, it's time to get our own code in there. FOr rapid prototyping I do all the stuff in GWCommand.cs.
    Go to Project -> add Reference -> COM and select "C3POTypeLibrary", "GroupWareTypeLibrary, "GroupWiseCommander", "GroupWiseConnectorLibrary" and click OK. The selected entries now appear in the project explorer.
    5. Simple MessageBoxing
    A thing I like to do (because I'm not a very good programmer) is to get all sorts of infos to get displayed with
    Code:
    MessageBox.Show();
    Just fling it in the code and see what get's where etc. An important thing is allready in the comments of the file.
    It is this line:
    Code:
    C3POTypeLibrary.IGWClientState6 myCL = (C3POTypeLibrary.IGWClientState6)WIASSArchivButton.g_C3POManager.ClientState;
    . Uncomment it and play around with the myCL-object in your code.
    The myCL has some properties we will use later on such as myCL.SelectedMessages which is exactly what we need for our archive functionality.
    6. Export Code
    Now we get to the code:
    With the
    Code:
    ClientState
    dug up in the code we can pass the
    Code:
    SelectedMessages
    into a
    Code:
    MessageList
    . Over this MessageList we will iterate and save each
    Code:
    Message
    with the so called
    Code:
    GroupWiseCommander
    to our disk. well that sounds simple. And, well after digging through a lot of threads here on the forum and the documentation, it is.
    Here is the Execute() method from GWCommand.cs:
    It has comments that should serve as a documentation.
    Code:
    public void Execute()
    try
    switch (m_PersistentID)
    case WIASSArchivButton.vWIASS:
    //C3PO WIZARD Put execute command code here for WIASS Context menu.
    /* this was in the comments and is essential!
    * the myCL object provides us everything we need to interact with the messages */
    C3POTypeLibrary.IGWClientState6 myCL = (C3POTypeLibrary.IGWClientState6)WIASSArchivButton.g_C3POManager.ClientState;
    // get the selected messages
    object o = myCL.SelectedMessages;
    // and convert the SelectedMessages to a MessagesList
    MessageList ml = (MessageList)o;
    // iterate over all the selected Messages
    // this was tricky: the index of the MessageList starts by 1 and not at 0
    for (int i = 1; i <= ml.Count; i++)
    // the .Item() method expects either a string or a long
    // see http://www.novell.com/documentation/developer/groupwise_sdk/gwsdk_gwobjapi/data/h20s5bdo.html
    long index = (long)i;
    // instantiate a Message object to get access to the different properties like subject, sender etc
    GroupwareTypeLibrary.Message oMessage = (GroupwareTypeLibrary.Message)ml.Item(index);
    // instantiate a GroupWiseCommander
    // this is the interface to the TOKEN API
    // TOKENS: https://www.novell.com/developer/documentation/gwtoken/index.html
    GroupWiseCommander.GWCommander cmdr = new GroupWiseCommander.GWCommander();
    // the GWCommander has an Execute() method that is able to take certain tokens kind of like SQL
    // lets build the token (the complete list is huge and awesome) to save our Messages
    // ItemSaveMessage(): https://www.novell.com/developer/documentation/gwtoken/gwtokens/data/hbt0bd7x.html
    string tokenCommand = "ItemSaveMessage(\"" + oMessage.MessageID + "\"; \"C:\\archiv\\" + oMessage.MessageID + ".eml\"; 900)";
    /* what happens here ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ is that we build us a TOKEN command that the
    * GWCommander is able to execute.
    * the actual command is ItemSaveMassge()
    * everything between the semi-colons are the parameters:
    * \"" + oMessage.MessageID + "\" : builds an ANSISTRING of the MessageID which we get from the oMessage onject
    * \"C:\\archiv\\" + oMessage.MessageID + ".eml\" : build an ANSISTRING of the output filename
    * 900 is the type we want to export. 900 stands for Mime
    * CAUTION:In this example I use C:\archive\ as the destination folder. It must exist and be writable to the program
    // now that we have setup our command we can get it executed by the commander
    // the result is sort of a callback variable
    string result ="";
    cmdr.Execute(tokenCommand, out result);
    /* here can the error handling be done with the result string
    break;
    default:
    MessageBox.Show("Unsupported Case", "Error", MessageBoxButtons.OK);
    break;
    //A way to get the GroupWise client state with newest interface
    //C3POTypeLibrary.IGWClientState6 myCL = (C3POTypeLibrary.IGWClientState6)WIASSArchivButton.g_C3POManager.ClientState;
    //uncomment the code below to unblock the base command
    //IGWCommand baseCmd = (IGWCommand)WIASSArchivButton.g_C3POManager.CreateGWCommand(m_objBaseCmd);
    //baseCmd.Execute();
    catch (Exception e)
    MessageBox.Show("Error Executing GWCommand: " + m_PersistentID.ToString() + " Error: " + e.Message);
    return;
    7. Registering and caching the .DLL
    After that you need to open a cmd windows as administrator and cd to the RegAsm.exe directory and execute the following: regasm "<GroupWiseInstallPath>\<TheDllName>.dll".
    8. Testing (please help me with a better way here)
    Is there a good way to hook every thing up together to jsut stay in VS , compile, files get copied, registered, cached and GW starts?
    Thanks for reading!
    I wrote this up to have a documentation for myself and others. please let em know if you need help or anything is missing or not clear. It's certainly not a total noob guide and I expect a bit of knowledge to be honest.
    Regards
    Sebastian

    As said this works fine for me.
    But note that unfortunately the paths to "regasm" and "gacutil" changed
    (compared to the time where you wrote your tutorial).
    Definitely. That way, as you mentioned, the post build scripts integrate very well.

    Yes. You can leave it at 2.0. I just have the 4.5 installed so i will target this version

    This is quite specific to your case since my example on exports a flat EML file to the hard drive

    And that is definitely wrong!
    See:
    The result was a C# project that does not show any new context menu entry.
    So I tried at the next wizard run "Add Menu Item".
    The wizard created again a C# project but still no new context menu entry in the GroupWise client.
    (And that after all needed steps
    like
    copy to GroupWise installation path,
    regasm and gacutil over all .dlls

    It took a complete day to get the idea to "merge" the two wizard created projects!
    Why merging?
    Because the second project contained a "const" which were used in the switch statement of the "Execute()" method
    (with the same meaning like your "WIASSArchivButton.vWIASS" - see your code snippet above!)
    and the "CustomizeContextMenu(...)" method in "CommandFactory.cs" looked also different
    while the first project does not contained something similar.
    ( For example:
    The "CustomizeContextMenu(...)" method had more statements.
    And that made more sense to me compared to the first wizeard created C# project.
    Since I uploaded a better example this is obsolete.

    This is, as I assume, due to the Interop.C3POTypeLibrary.dll. This must me cached every time the project is build. maybe you could use gacutil -i Interop.C3POTypeLibrary.dll -f to force the recaching

    Thats is correct. But I never had to do this. The thing is, that the "Add Menu Item" is giving you the opputunity to specify a command, which the "Add Menu" doesn't.

    I added a fix for this in the second post, but it isn't working in GW2012 anymore. I have a very ubly fix for that in my new code.

    "SOFTWARE\\Novell\\GroupWise\\5.0\\C3PO\\DataTypes \\...."

    This is all part of the official documentation and wasn't touched by Novell since quite a long time.
    I think i will make a github repository in the futer as a proof of concept and kind of a accessable documentation for everyone.

  • Is it possible to create a Visual Studio plugin that can copy TFS work item ID by adding a context menu in the work item UI?

    Our team is using VS2013 and TFS 2013, and in our daily work we often open a TFS query, then we need to open a work item, and we often need to copy the ID, for example, to the email.
    But currently the field is read only, and we often manually copy it.
    So is there any convenient way to solve this? Any built in ways?
    If no, is it possible to create such a plugin?

    Hi Lei Yang
    You can try the following work around to copy work item ID
    for VS 2013:
    Right click on work item tab header in VS 2013 and click 'Copy Full Path' from context menu
    When you paste it on notepad/email you will get work item ID at the end of the path:

    For Web Portal:
    Right click on work item link at top and click 'Copy shortcut' from the context menu
    When you paste it on notepad/email you will get work item ID at the end of the shortcut:

  • Why does the drag and drop context menu always popup when dragging files between windows explorer instances ?

    I have fusion 7.1.1 on an iMac 27 inch retina. 32GB ram of which 6GB assigned to Fusion and 2 cores. Windows 7 Home Premium installed. Mostly working fine but a few funnies. First and foremost: Whenever I drag and drop between instances of windows explorer, I get the little pop-up context menu offering me Copy Here / Move Here etc.  etc. I have never known Windows to ask me what I want to do when I drag stuff - why is this happening ? I have scoured the net for info on this and found nothing. Please note that this is NOT associated with the Start Menu (For which I found a zillion solutions to whatever that problem is). Also, It is NOT to do with stopping drag & drop and Context menus: yes, I know how to do that but that is NOT what I'm asking to get rid of. This may not be related but I have also had to set my Internet Properties / Explorer settings / Launching-applications-and-unsafe-files to "Enable" to prevent every shortcut I create causing a "Do you want to run this ... ?" message every time I click on them. Doing this has caused WIndows 7 to turn into a finger-wagging safety-nanny glaring at me over its demi-lune spectacles.

    Ok ... fixed
    Here is the way http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/3/944828
    In your sequence, on the left most column you should see a V1 (left of the Lock Track button). Click that to make sure its highlighted, it allows you to drop video to the sequence.

  • Combine supported files context menu missing

    After upgrading a Citrix server environment from 32 to 64 bit users have noticed that the "combine supported files" option is missing from the context menu. Both servers use the same version of Acrobat
    I tried this command from an administrator login at the console.
    regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat Elements\ContextMenu64.dll"
    Still no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Good day,
    Take a look at the solution below:
    Add the following key to the Windows registry that Citrix is running on top of:

  • How to I add options to the Context Menu for html files under Site Content

    Currently in Web Page Composer...  if a developer wants to get the Target URL to an html page in a WPC site (i.e. under the Site Content folder) they have to take several steps...   Content Menu -> Details -> Settings -> Properties -> Access Links -> copy the Target URL.  I would like to add this ability (i.e. to copy the target URL to clipboard) as a option to the "context menu" of each html file.  Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how it can be done?   It can be a global change if necessary.

    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
    If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
    You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
    You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
    Also check the Mouse driver settings in the Control Panel.
