Copy Forecast values MD70

Hello,
I am trying to run the MD70 - Copy Total Forecast and copy the forcast values. But it is not copying.i have chosed the VV Forecast based planning for the material. also i have checked the configuration settings for MRP type. The Cons. Ind. F'cast is set to G Total consumption.
Even though i could not copy the forecast values.Some one come across this same problem.

Actually in MM02, you execute the forecast for material in Forcasting view., you can see there is an copy history selection. Or you can maintain manually also.
Did executed total forecast using transaction mp38 or MP30?
After executing Forecast , see the forecast values
Then , in MD61 , from the menu choose - Planned indep Reqmts - reference - select the radio button : material forecast
Copy forecast values screen will pop up .
In that , if you want to change the reference values enter the percentage , duration (months) etc...
Now the forecast values will be copied into the table, which you can see.
Then run MRP and proceed as usual.

Fox formula - Copy variable value to a characteristic in IP

Hi All,
I have to copy the value of a variable to a characteristic in Fox formula in IP. In this scenario I am forecasting data using copy function. Whenever new data is copied I need to save it as a new version. So in the fox formula I have mentioned only 'version' as the field to be changed. I get the value of version automatically from a function module. In BPS I think it is possible but I am using IP.
Example.
Copied data
Customer Material Version Year Qty
c1            m1          0           2012 10
c2            m2          0           2012 20
c3            m3          0           2012   15
This is the reference data got as a result of copy function. In the code I get the version computed from a function module in variable fm_version.
I wrote the logic like this.
data lv_version type version.
foreach lv_version.
{0quant_b, lv_version} = {0quant_b, fm_version}
endfor.
When it is execute it is showing error as records changed and deleted.
Is it the correct method or is there any other workaround.

You can use either standard copy function or fox formula.
So here I need to make the version as 1 since it is forecasted for the first time. I am trying to do it with a fox formula. In the fox formula I am trying to change the characteristic value of version from 0 to 1.
You can not change the characteristic value of version from 0 to 1. The copy function or fox formula will copy the key figures from version 0 to 1.
For example:
The transaction data contains data like -
customer     material            year     version    qty
c1                 m1            2012     0           10
c2                 m2            2012     0            5
After copy you will get both version like this
customer     material            year     version    qty
c1                 m1            2012        0        10
c2                 m2            2012        0         5
c1                 m1            2012        1        10
c2                 m2            2012        1         5

Which table can we see consumption and forecast values in forecast based planning

Dear SAP Gurus,
I am working on implementing forecast based planning for Spare parts for my client. They have one Main Plant which do purchase of Spare Parts and through Stock transfers moved to 60+ Plants from where Spares are being sold.
Now I am carrying out SAP trial runs for a set of 160+ materials with various models and want to compare with their existing methodology of requirement calculation.
I want to compile Consumption and Forecast data month wise for these trial materials (160+ materials in 60 Plants) . One way I thought is to go individual Material Master and looks for values in Forecast view. However it is tedious and time consuming.
The table name shows RMCP2 and RM03M for forecast and Cons values, but I could not find the table.
Hence I want to know which table if I can view I can get the consumption and forecast data calculated for quick copying and compilation.

Like I could able to get the consumption values for materials using table MVER and fields GSV01,GSV02 etc.,
What field I need refer in table PROP for getting forecast values.
As such I could not see any column where in data are similar to Forecast view.

1) How to copy forecast from simulation version to active version and viceversa in DP.
2) How pivot sorting works and the concept of it?

Hi Sandeep,
You can copy forecast (Key Figure values) from one planning version to another using transaction /n/sapapo/tscopy. In that transaction, you can specify both the source and target planning versions.
Pivot Sorting would be available after you have drilled down using the header. It enables you to change the order of characteristics and KFs in the planning table. Normally, during drilldowb the characteristic values appear in the order that you have drill-down. If you use pivot sort you can change the order without changing the drill-down order.

Copy selected values from a table control into another table control

hi there,
as seen in the subject i need to copy selected values from a table control into another table control in the same screen. as i dont know much about table controls i made 2 table controls with the wizard and started to change the code... right now im totally messed up. nothing works anymore and i don't know where to start over.
i looked up the forums and google, but there is nothing to help me with this problem (or i suck in searching the internet for solutions)
i have 2 buttons. one to push the selected data from the top table control into the bottom tc and the other button is to push selected data from the bottom tc into the top tc. does somebody has a sample code to do this?

How to find out user info for a forecasted value

Hi Experts,
Suppose, a user plans on a planning application and consequently creates some forecast values. How do i find out which user did the planning? Is there any way to know this? Please let me know of this if anybody knows.

Hi, I'm using BPS so can't say forIP. But if you really want to see who posted which data, the planning application has to be set up that way in order to capture the user, time, date details, as indicated by the previous post. This will ptentially of course create very many more records in some cases, where data is amended.
But your post also requested info about who ran which planning functionality, and when. You can get this sort of information in BPS from the transactions BPS_STAT0 and BPS_STAT1. You may want to narrow the amount of analysis using the username/ date /time filters.

In SOP- transfer forecasted values from material master to info structure?

I wanted to test out a few scenarios. Do you know the answers / can you help simulate and check the below?
1.     If I run the forecast using different models for different materials using the total forecast run (MP38), the forecast values will get updated in the material master. Can I get these values transferred directly into the SOP (standard or flexible), without re-running the forecast in SOP? What I am looking at is a possible scenario where individual materials have different forecast model, so do not want to run forecast from SOP using one model for all.
2.       Can you have the capability of selecting diff model (say based on material master data) in SOP for diff materials? When I ran SOP, the model I specify there for forecasting is applied for all materials
3.       If I upload historical values/forecasted values in the material master, can I directly transfer them to SOP without any change to the value?

I am executing my program in background with bmv0 transaction with variant, in development I can run this job in background with out any logical errors but in QA I am getting errors.
Can you please help me in the above case.
In Bmv0 transaction first I defined the job and in program rmdatind (execute) screen first I mentioned the Max. no of logical errors as 500 and Transactions per commit unit as 500 and I run the program in background in bmv0 transaction and I am getting the message background job terminated immediately
Because of this again I changed the Max. no of logical errors 500 to 99999 and transaction per commit unit 500 to 999999 and then i scheduled my program in background.
Alomost it ran for 27 hours and then it has given the message background job terminated.
Job log entries are as follows.

I know it has taken long time to process the job because of I changed the transactions per commit unit (500 to 999999) it kills the system
But I am supposed to provide some number < 999999 in transactions per commit unit
actually I haven't tried like I said above < 999999 because i don't have any hopes.

First of all, I'm french. I hope you could understand my poor english.
I've a got a form with a tab where u can ad or sup raws.
I've gat a second tab.
I'd like to copy the value of the cell (textfield) in a cell in the second tab.
I've try "this.rawValue = evolution.forobj.tab1.r1.txt1.rawValue ;" in change event but it doesn't work.

Your English is much better than my French
The change event fires when the user is inputting data into the object that contains the script. As you have it in the change event of the object in tab 2, it does not fire at all when the user is inputting data into the object in tab 1.
Also the change event needs xfa.event.newText and not .rawValue.
I would recommend that you move the script to the calculate event of the object in tab 2. This way as soon as the user leaves the object in tab 1, the information will be undated in the object in tab 2.

Could anyone please help me with the information with any database table or the function module or any other source to get the forecasted value against the key figure ZCONSTR form the planning book data.

You can more details from transaction BAPI->Supply Chain Management ->Advanced Planning and Optimization ->PlanningBookAPS ->GetDetail2 .Here you can find input parameter and in detail documentation.

Picking or copying Characteristics Value from material master

Dear Experts,
Please i create five Characteristics which i assign to a Class ( of type 022 ). The Class is then assigned to materials in the classification View of the Material Master.
I want one of the five Characteristics to copy its values from specific parameter value maintaned in the Material Master.
Please assist on how to accomplish this?
I did the following but did not get the desired results; While creating this Characteristic, in the Values Tab, I filled ''MARC'' in the Tablename field & in the Fieldname field, i enter the technical fieldname of the particular field from table MARC which i want.
I want this particular value to be automatically copied into the Characteristics Value field in the Foreground for eacb batch anytime Goods Receipt is done.
after doing this, anytime Goods Receipt is done & a batch number generated, it takes me to the Classification screen, but this particular field which i desire to be auto updated remains blank.
Please assist ?

1. This will not automatically updated just as we wil fill the addtional date table and field.
2. you need to write the object dependency to get it updated when you call somewhere
3. Generally in the batch level you will be able to do this .( even you can use function / object dependency )

What is the JavaScript to copy the value from a field to the clipboard?

I have a "Save As" Button scripted. But would like the button to first copy the value "SiteCode" so when the user is prompted to enter in the name they can just paste it.

That's not possible. It is possible to save to an existing folder with a filename derived from one of more field values, but the code that does that save has to be in a folder-level JavaScript file or in a certified document that the user chooses to trust for privileged JavaScript execution. So each user would have to manually install the JavaScript file or manually add the certificate to their list of trusted certificates and specify that it's trusted for privileged JavaScript execution.
I've had good success providing instructions for copying the field name from a form field so that the user can paste it as the field name in the Save As dialog that's invoked using an "Execute a menu item" action (File > Save As), so this might be a viable alternative you can use.
