player 8? I've tried to selec and copy/paste, and the right mouse
button, but nothing words....

How to copy images from another MC in reversed order??
Hi everyone,
I'm new to AS3 and have been fighting and searching for a solution to this problem for a week now, and I'm VERY close!
I crated a MC holding of a series of images (about 50) and I jump around in it using plenty AS3 scripts (most of which I don't fully understand yet, but I'm working on that to! )
I had to find a way to "rewind" (= play backwards) the MC. Since there is a stop(); command in almost every frame, prevFrame does not work and if I put that in a loop, it goes WAY to fast (but worked).. So I could think of only one way...
Create a new (reverserd) MC with the same image sequence ald reverse it manually and play that one.
This all works fine (very proud of it ).
Now my question:
To get this to work for multiple image sequences, I have to load all images twice (once in MC_1 and again in MC_2 and select them and reverse them).
Not a big one, unless you want to create MANY of those SWF's...
Is it possible to load the 50 images of the first MC in reverse into the second MC dynamically? JUST the images, noting else.
extra info: the MC_2 is already in the lib(empty) and placed on the stage.
something like:

I cannot direct you in the loading of the images approach, it will be too complicated, and will probably not work anyways... when you move away from a frame that has dynamic content, you lose the content. So basically, there is nothing practical in taking that approach.
I do niot understand what the problem will be with the enterFrame/prevFrame approach. If everything you can do with the mouse is already used (which I doubt) by the first mc, then there is nothing else you can do with this file. You probably just need to rethink your control scheme. You should search Google for "AS3 slideshow tutorial", and to lighten up your design, add "XML" in that search.

Adobe Reader 9 Mac - cannot copy images
I upgraded to Reader 9, and another person in our office is using 8 with the same problem. We can no longer copy images out of a PDF - when we try to paste an image that appeared to be copied we only get a gray box. We've tried many ways including pasting directly into Word or Excel, choosing 'New from Clipboard' in Photoshop Elements, creating a blank Photoshop file and pasting, etc. This has works perfectly in Acrobat 5.0 and in Reader 7.0.5 (which I have gone back to using - I'm sure glad I waited before removing it from my system!).

I was wrong on both counts. With the help of the local Apple store, I found a solution. First, I Moved to Trash all adobe related files/folders from /Users/*myaccount*/Library/Cache and /Users/*myaccount*/Library/Preferences. When I started "Adobe Reader 9", I at least got the license agreement but again it failed with an "internal error". I then moved the /Users/*myaccount*/Library/Application Support/Adobe folder to my desktop. I was then able to start "Adobe Reader 9" successfully.
I was having the "Internal Error" message on all my repeated installs of Reader in Mac OS 10.6 ("Snow Leopard") and this fixed it for me. The only thing I did different, was after the app finally launched without an error, I dragged all the non-Acrobat Reader folders inside of /Users/*myaccount*/Library/Application Support/Adobe back to the folder. I then re-launched Reader just to check and all was fine.

How do I copy image from web and paste into Open Office Document
Whenever I choose Copy Image from Safari and then paste into open office, I only get the image url and not the image. I am sure that I am not selecting Copy Image Address.
When I copy images from my iTunes album artwork and paste into open office it works fine.
Any thoughts?I have done the same thing using Firefox and it works just fine. It seems to be an issue with Safari.

Can't copy image/video from Nok 5800 XM to PC
Owh...i have no idea again....... i've tried many ways, but the files are failed to be copied, i've tried by using nok pc suite&mass storage mode to transfer them, but it's always failed. it seems that the files i copy are corrupted or uncompleted. let say,,,i want to copy image(400 KB), but the result in my PC is only 5 KB, so i can't open it. but when i copied files from other phone(nok 7610&N70),it's no problem, i can do it by pc suite or mass storage mode,,,,, Anyone can help me please...............

Can I copy images from Album to Album
Can I "copy" images from Album to Album and then expect to be able to export that data into Keynote?
I put copy in quotes because I am such a new user I am not even sure at this point when I am copying or moving images as opposed to pointers.
But the bottom line is that I need to know if I can use the data in Albums that I see images in for a presentation.
Thanks.Aperture 3 does have a few things that work in different ways than Ap2, but dragging images to albums is the same. Cut/copy has never been a feature. It works in a different way. Allan

I have an evaluation copy of Vision Builder.
I want to load images from files and do an image divide, yet when I copy images to the buffers, the buffers remain empty. Help!It sounds like you're using the Vision Builder AI eval and launching the Image Assistant tool to process your image. Buffers in the Image Assistant don't carry over to other steps. However, in one session of Image Assistant you should be able to save an image to a buffer and retrieve it in the same session. If this is not the case, then you should go to ni.com/ask to get in touch with an NI Applications Engineer.

Instead of copying images (jpgs, etc) from my iPad Mini to my desktop PC, I'd like to do the opposite, that is, copy existing images from my PC files to my Mini without going through a multi-email process which involves resizing the images by experiment.
I hope someday Adobe Lightroom can add this feature, but I'll settle for some simple transfer, perhaps by cable between my PC and my Mini.
Jim MohundroYou can do it via your computer's iTunes. If you are on iTunes 11 on your computer then you may want to re-enable the left-hand sidebar via View > Show Sidebar (option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), which might make it easier to navigate and my instructions may make more sense.
To sync photos, connect and select your iPad on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes (if you've enabled the sidebar), and on the right-hand side there should be a series of tabs, one of which should be Photos - if you select that tab you can then select which photo folders to sync to the iPad. There is a bit more info on this page. You will need to sync all the photos that you want on the iPad together in one go as only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad - synced photos can't be deleted directly on the iPad, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next photo sync.
If you haven't enabled the sidebar, then from your library click 'iPad' at the top right of the screen and you should get a series of buttons along the top of the screen, including one for Photos -

01. Connect your camera launch 'Image Capture' ('/Applications/' folder - if it does not automatically launch.
02. Select the 'Image Capture, Preferences...' menu item.
03. Click on the 'General' tab.
04. From the 'Camera:' 'When a camera is connected, open:' pop up menu - select the 'Image Capture.app' menu item.
05. From the 'Devices' menu select your camera from the menu items list. A window will appear with the title of your camera.
06. From the 'Download To:' pop up menu select where to save the camera's photographs. You can select any folder anywhere on your hard disk drive(s).
07. Click the 'Options...' button, and from the drop down sheet click on the 'Connection Options' 'Automatically download all items' check box - to add a check mark. There are other options you may have be interested in.
08. Click on the 'OK' button.
09. If you want to download the photographs now - click on the window's 'Download All' button. Or, to test the above setting changes - quit 'Image Capture' and disconnect your camera. Then reconnect the camera - and watch the above setting changes take effect.
Note:
The above automatic action can also happen if the storage device of the camera were inserted into a USB digital camera card reader. So long as apply the Steps above, and you select the USB digital camera card reader from the 'Devices' menu's menu item list in Step 05 above.
'Image Capture' is not scriptable; but, may be control-able via 'tell application "System Events" to tell process "Image Capture" ....
When a camera is connect to the Mac, the storage card of the camera is mounted onto the 'Desktop' and also listed, as an alias, in the (invisible) '/Volumes/' folder.
Now that you know the name of the storage card ... you can create a 'Folder Action Script' (an example is presented below) and save it into the '/Library/Script/Folder Action Scripts/' folder,
Open the '/Volumes./' folder (in 'Finder' via 'Go, Go to Folder' - enter '/Volumes/').
Perform a right button click ('<control> - click, for single button users) on the 'Volumes' folder's window, and select 'Enable Folder Actions' (if not already).
Rpeat the right button click (<control> click) and select 'Attach a Folder Action...' - selecting your script ('Volumes_FAS.scpt' as shown below).
Below is a 'Folder Action Script' example - where you will have to substitute 'NO NAME' with the name of your digital camera's storage card's name.

Mac OS X (10.4.4) -
I have just completed an upgrade to Mac OSX 10.3.9, the security update and the accompanying update to Safari to 1.3.2.
And my wife pointed this out to me... the Contol-Click "Copy Image" function is not broken, as it does not copy the image to the clipboard, but rather the URL of the image or the LINK is what gets pasted into other app.
According to Safari Help, that is NOT the correct fucntionality.
To save an image, drag it from the webpage to the desktop or a document in another application. You can also hold down the Control key and click the image, then choose Save Image To to save it as a file or Copy Image to paste it in another document.
The cntl-Click options pop-up now read:
"Save Image to the Desktop
Save Image"
This is definitely a Safari glitch, as Drag and Drop still works to move the image, not the URL or Link. I was also able to do a proper "Save As.. " with the ablility to select the destination, this in now gone as well.
Bug, or new (crappy) "feature?"
Anyone run into this, or have a fix to restore the functionality?

Possibly the issue is that some coding changes in either Safari or OS X have the function work correctly in 10.4.x but are glitchy in 10.3.9... ?
The same problem persists in Safari 1.3.2 (on our iBook) in 1.3.9
Ahhh.. interesting (not all apps have "Paste Special"...) Works in MS Word X, but not Appleworks. Preview "New From Clipboard" works as advertised.
Problem could just as easily be with Appleworks somewhat outdated code? 6.2.4 dates to 2002.

Copy images to new computer, but keep settings in Aperture - How?
My subject pretty much sums it up. I have two computers running aperture. I want to copy my images & adjustments made in Aperture, to the new computer while keeping the adjustments & ratings, etc.
Here's the goal:
1. Download images to my computer for backup.
2. Copy images to External Hard Drive for Computer #2.
3. Let assistant edit/rate photos on Computer #2.
4. When done, copy adjustments/ratings/photos to Computer #1.
How do I do this?

PS. I tried just copying the referenced files to Computer #2, but it didn't keep the settings.In that case, if you have 2 machines, here's what I'd recommend:
On the machine you're using for remote shoots, use a managed library (keep the shots in Aperture). On the weekly basis, export the projects from the wedding(s) you shoot in their entirety. Import them to the other machine, and at that point convert to a referenced library.
I don't do weddings but I shoot landscape and this is how I handle managing my shots between the MacBook Pro I travel with, and the Quad G5 I use in the office. -

LR 3 move/copy image to a new catalogue
I need to move/copy images from the master catalogue to a new catalogue. when I select the image and in File/export LR asks for a catalogue name and then proceeds to copy the entire folder I am in. How do I copy JUST ONE image? the instructions on the help don't do anygood becuase it indicates options which don't show up.
Thank you, but the problem arises from the LR Help file..What I really want to do is to create a new catalogue of selected images. The Help file says exactly what I want to do BUT:

"You can export one or multiple photos as a new catalog.
To export individual images into a new catalog, they
must first be selected. Then, from the File menu, choose Export as Catalog. Also, if
you press Option or Alt, you’ll see the standard Import and Export buttons (bottom
left, Library) change to Import Catalog and Export Catalog; see Figure 9–14.
In the resulting dialog box you must type a name for the new catalog. A folder
will be created using that name. Inside the folder will be the catalog and preview
package, using the same base name. In the Export as Catalog window you also
have the following options:
Export selected photos only: when this is checked, only selected photos will be
exported to the new catalog. Otherwise, all photos from the currently selected source
will go into the new catalog. A text display above the checkboxes indicates this.

Nothing likes this actually appears. So what to do?? -
On right mouse click, there is no "save as" or "copy image" when I want to save a picture on line. I have to go back to IE to use this option. Is this not available? Many thanks, Joy
There are so many occasions on line when I want to save an image that I can't believe I can't do so using Firefox, which I find so good in all other ways. I can Bookmark, save a page or send a link, but not take a simple copy image.Hi, Many thanks for replying, it's much appreciated. I started Firefox in safe mode and found I had the full right click menu on a pic on my home page. However, after moving around the web, I've found that the problem still occurs in eBay and it doesn't make any difference in safe mode. still no full menu. After returning to normal mode, I find that this still stands i.e. I do get the full menu on other sites but not in eBay. As I often want to save a pic in Ebay and can do so in IE, I'm baffled as to why this one site is giving problems. As this is where I've mostly been trying to save pics, I didn't realise that it was a "one site" problem and not applicable to everywhere else. If IE didn't work in this respect, I could blame the eBay site, but it does, so that just makes it more puzzling - and very annoying! I have tried accessing Ebay direct, rather than clicking on the toolbar, but this makes no difference. Any further thoughts would be much appreciated. Joy
