Copy item number

Hi guys,
I have following issue I need help with.
We have two sale organizations in our SAP and both uses the same sales order type (in our case ZOR) and one sales organization needs the number of items from sales order to be copied to delivery ( it means if item number in sales order is 50 the item in delivery should be 50 too).
The other sales org. wants the number of items from sales order to not be copied to delivery. I know that there is some settings to allow/disallow copy item number in spro, but this setting is not sales organization dependant, it depends just on type of sales order. And I don´t want to create two sales order types, I need to have just one.
Don´t you know if there is some user exit or whatever I could use to have one sales order type and different settings for copy item number.

Hi Malach,
You can maintain routine as per your requirement in VOFM and it should be plase into copying requirement at Item level in the Sales to delivery copy controls.

Item number to be regenerated when copying from contract to sales order

Hi,
I am copying items from contract to sales order, say there are 10 items in contract. I copy all items leaving 5th & 7th item in contract. The numbers in sales order has to be in sequence (regenerated leaving the 5th & 7th line item) rather than it is copying the line item number as in the contract. Can any one kindly suggest me how to handle this in sales order.

Item number in billing document not matching with delivery document-reg

Hi All,
In the billing document the item number is coming from Shipment document. ie., there are three deliveries in a shipment. Each delivery has got one line item, ie., 10. These three deliveries are assigned to a shipment, the order in which the deliveries are attached if we take as 10 for first delivery, 20 for th esecond and 30 for the third, In billing document the billing from first delivery is getting the item number as 10, the second delivery's billing document is getting the item number as 20 and the third as 30.
Can someone please reply where and how this is configured?

Item number in sales order versus delivery not equal

Hello Guru's,
Please help me solve this problem, i created a sales order with 6 items in it and save it. Before I create the delivery I deleted the sales order item number 1,2 and 3 so the item that was redy for delivery are sales order items nubmer 4,5 and 6. When i created a delivery for this materials the item number that was in it is not 4,5,6 but 1,2,3 so the item number 4 in the sales order was considered as the 1st item in teh delivery. What will I do in order that when i create a delivery for a sales order it will capture the item number maintained in the sales order.
example :
sales order-
item   material number material description
1              123                      abc                           deleted
2               456                     def
3               789                     ghi
delivery
1               456                     def
2               789                     ghi
it should be
delivery
2               456                     def
3               789                     ghi

Hello Ysabella,
Your requirement is justified since the numbering in the sales order would usually follow the sequence given in the customer's purchase order. If there are a lot of items in the PO, and if this sequence is messed up, then the customer would lose track of what he/she ordered and what he/she received.
To ensure that the item number from the Sales order is copied to the delivery, all you have to do is set a flag in transaction VTLA at the header level - 'Copy Item number' (V_TVCPLAK-POSVO).

Line item number change

i am creating delivery w/r to order, where once of my line item (line item-100 in order) is missing in delivery. and the item (line item-110 in order has taken the place of line item 100). i want to copy the same line item number from order to delivery, so if some item is missing then i can find it out line,, in this case line item 100 is missing in delivery but due to the fact that line item 110 as taken the place as 100 in delivery i am not able to find.
plz guide as how to maintain, the same line item number from order to delivery to billing

Hi,
You can maintain these settings in Copy Controls from Delivery to Order (VTLA), IN header Details, you have a Tab Control Data, in which you can check "Copy Item Number", this will copy the item number from the preceding document to the next document.
Try to replicate the same in your QAS and do update the same if it is helpful

Item Number is Differ from Order to Billing

                    I am Creating the Order relavent billing scenario with milestone billing plan. My sales order consists of three items like

In Billing it will reflecting as

Item number increment is 1 in sales Document, Please help me regarding why these item number are shuffling from order to billing and the material numbers, quantity and value are copying correct only

Copy Inventory Master Data to another Item Number

For the new database setup, I would like to copy from one Item Master Data (all tab details) to another Item Number to save time. Then just edit few fields only. How can I do it?

If there is provision of changing the item codes then you can try the import from Excel option also. As changing the item codes in an excel list will be much easier than opening each master data and changing the codes.
Try this-
1. Go to the test database where you create the test items.
2. Open the item master data in the find mode and open the search list.
3. With the f=Form Settings just make those columns visible which you want to import.
for ex in a DB i have some items, I wnt to import the to other, only the item code, item descrption and the manufactures. then i open the search list and only make these columns visible.
4. Now export this list to excel
5. Now change the iem codes of the desired in the excel format.
5. Save it as a txt file and import through the "Import From Excel Option"
Administration> Data Import/Export> Data Import> Import from Excel

Copy items to large number of users

I am a wee bit new to ARD and have (what I'm sure is) an easy question. I'm trying to copy a file to a specific path inside each user's home folder. is there a way to do this in ARD without having to type in each user's LDAP account name in each of the paths?

This is ABSOLUTELY possible.
We used this at my school to copy files to a PARTITION which was not the boot disk.
The ARD computer is turned off and unaccessible at the moment, but the functionality is in the COPY ITEMS interface.
Select a group of computers in the Scanner, add them to All Computers. Select the Targets and then choose the COPY button on the top of the screen. The first PULLDOWN menu has a choice which will let you enter a PATH to a directory.
To get the path, I used ARD to control one of the targets and I then dragged the partition into Terminal to get its path as Text. I copied that on the client, then exported the clipboard to the ARD control machine and then I could use the path to target the copy.
Of course, the partition and path name need to be the same on all the client computers.
Good luck. This is DEFINITELY POSSIBLE.
Just a caveat though, it uses MULTICASTING to broadcast the files out over your entire network. We have IP phones here and trying to push out 50GB of data as multicast is crashing our phones. I'm searching this message board to find a way to PREVENT MULTICASTING.

Item Number in Dynamic Table Quirk

I'm a new LC user, ramping up to speed on this package, thanks to everyone for the useful information here and other places.

I added a dynamic table to a form I've been working on. Most everything works, except the caption on the Row/Item number. So, I yanked out the subform with the table on it to create a simpler copy of the form to post here. Get this... it works on the simple form. So, there's something going on on my not so simple form that is preventing my Row/Item number from working.
I'm hoping that if I post both forms here, someone can help me fix this thing.

Try changing the code in the layout:ready event from;
this.caption.value.text = (this.parent.index + 1).toString();
To;
this.caption.value.text.value = (this.parent.index + 1).toString();
That is add another ".value".
Your form that works targets Reader 8.0 or later and the one that doesn't Targets Reader 9.0 or later, I'm guessing that is the difference.

PR Line Item Number should be Same for PO Line Item Numebr

Hi Gurus,
I have a rare Requiremenet. I will convert Only one PR to PO(So It is one to one) PR Item Number should Be Equal to PO Item Number.. can anybody suggest me is there any way to achive this.
Explanation:
Actually we will create third party Sale order and with A BAPI we create PO in background.
I will change Sales Order qty(Decrease directly or increse with schedule lines) so new PR items will be generated or Existing may be deleted. now i want my PR Item number should be equal to PO Item Number.
In BAPI we have a provision to provide PR number still system is taking in sequential intervel of 10,20,30....
How to overide this...

Thanks a lot my issue got resolved. annd i have another question regarding BAPI_PO_Change.
Actually i am passing Price from PR to PO and i am making no_price_from_po while chenging PO and i am passing PRICE from SO to PO. Below scenario will explain My requirement.
In third party we are creating Automatic PO from SO. we have developed one ZTrasaction for SO Approval in two stages, in second level Approval we are converting PR to PO.
while creating we are able to pass Price value from SO to PO From Condition in the Pricing procedure.
while changing we have 3 scenarios
1.Changing Existing PR Item quantity
2. Adding one more schedule line to the Existing SO so it will create one more PR Item
3. we are adding one more Line Item in the SO in this case also one more PR Item will be generated
we are able to convert each PR Item will be one PO line Item
But while changing we will have PO still we don't want to copy the Price from Previous Document.
we have activated no_price_from_PO in the BAPI but still system is taking from previous Document.
Pl suggest me if there anyway to over come this issue...

Copying PO Number from SO Number to Billing Document

Hello,
My requirement is that I need to copy the PO Number from Sales Order to the Billing document whenever there is a Return Order created. What would be the Copy routine number that I need to modify? Or do I need to create a new Routine and then update the Billing Item with the PO Number from Return Sales Order? Please let me know.

What subroutine VOFM are you using in your copy rules? Copy this VOFM to your own VOFM in your range name, and add a line to copy the PO number from SO to invoice (see Note 327220 - VOFM function and its objects).

Copy Clipboard in OSX - Can I access a history of "copied" items?

Hi-
It sure would be cool if there were a feature that allowed one to view a list of the past 10 or so copied items / photos / text, etc. - so that he didn't have to keep reverting back to various original sources in order to work with and paste a number of various pieces of information.
A clipboard is the common term for it I suppose --
But how do I access it in OS X? Or can I at all?

Photos App Copying items to Photos Library regardless of checked option

I have been trying for hours to start my Photos App. It keeps saying via thermometer that it's either Preparing, Updating or Uploading, and this happens for hours with absolutely no progress on the "thermomether". I have been monitoring on Activity Monitor and there ARE packets going out. My System Photo Library is about 1.5 Gb. I have read on so many forums that a huge number of people are having this problem. So I gave up on updating the library as I have my photos in other database applications, except for a select few I use for various reasons.
I restarted photos while holding the Option Key and creating a new System Photo Library. I imported four test JPEG files and they did import properly into the App. However, even with all iCloud settings on, none of these photos made it to either my iPhone nor to the iCloud website. I then imported other test photos directly into my iCloud on a web browser. They immediately showed up and within moments were also available on my iPhone.
Furthermore, there is an option in Photos' Preferences that allows you to "copy items to the Photos Library". Whether I have this checked or Not, Photos keeps importing the photos to the Library, as I can see the library's size increase with every photo imported. This is really baffling, and really disappointing that this application has so many bugs.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I think you'll be better off starting with a new library. There are two ways you could do that.
1 - create a new library and use the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager to copy the events and albums from the old library to the new one. That way you can keep keywords, comments, titles and albums.
2 - follow Tutorial #1 to write the keywords and comments to the original files of the old library and then create a new library and import those files into it.
After either method once you're satisfied that you have all your photos safely in the new library you can delete the old library and its source image files.
I recommend using the iPhoto Library Manager method. It would be easier but both will do the job.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Change purchase requisition item number

Hi,
I want to copy an existing line item in the PR but, also I want to assign it the item number. Right now this field is display only for existing line items.
Example:
I have one line item with item number 10. Item number can not be changed (display only). Then I select the line item and click on "copy item" button.
The new line item is created but, the item number can not be changed (default is 20).
I looked for some fields in field status group but this field is not available for PR's.
How can I change the item number for new copied items?
