Copy Key Figures between Queries

Hi BI Gurus
I have two Queries 'Query-1' and 'Query-2' on the same InfoCube.
I want to make another query 'Query-3' which is the combination of 'Query-1' and 'Query-2'.
I have saved 'Query-1' as 'Query-3'.
Now, I want to add all the Key Figures in 'Query-2' into 'Query-3'.
All the 3 queries are on the same InfoProvider.
Please guide.
Regards

HI Anil
As mentioned by you that all th e thre queries are on same infoprovider hence all the key fig of that infoprovider are available to you in  all the quries. If a key fig is created locally then save it in a structure and copy that structure in the new query.

  • Copying Key figures between flexible sop info structures

Shall we use mcsz or olix to copy key figures between the infostructures planned with level by level planning. or Defining user methods and copy profile is mandatory??

    Hello,
    What was the correct transaction?
I am trying to accomplish the same.
I'm not sure to use MCSZ or MC7M to create the copy method.

  • Copy Key figure data between two planning area with different storage bucket profile

    Hi,
I have a DP planning area ' PA1' with monthly storage bucket profile data view 'PA1M' ( monthly TBF) and I want to copy the data to another planning area 'PA2' whose storage bucket is weekly. This would need me to write a custom program which will split monthly to weekly and then populate 'PA2'.
However, In 'PA2', I created two data views 'PA2W' (with weekly time bucket profile) and 'PA2M' (with Monthly Time bucket profile). If I am able to copy the data from PA1 (PA1M) to PA2(PA2M), it will automatically splits monthly to weekly in PA2W.
So my question is if there exists a way I can copy key figure data from PA1M to PA2M? Any BAPI?

    Hi Rakesh,
You can use COPY/Version Management Function to do this.
Path: Demand Planning > Environment >Copy/ Version Management
The system takes into account only those periodicities that are common to both planning areas.
For example, if the data is saved in months in the source planning area (PA1) but in months and weeks in the target planning area (PA2)
the system copies to months in the target planning area and then Disaggregates the data to the storage buckets in accordance with the Time-based Disaggregation.
hope this wil help to understand the basic concept.

  • Key Figure in Queries migrated to BI 7.0 front-end

Hello Experts.  We are currently migrating queries from 3.5 front-end to 7,0 front-end.  Some queries that used to work in 3.5 withoug key figures no longer work after migrating to 7.0.  Can someone tell me if there is a way to resolve this?  Changing the query is out of the question.  Can someone point me to any forum document or Blog if there is any?  Thank you for your help.

    Hi Sree,
I did encounter an error -  the error said that a key figure needs to be specifiied.  The other thing is, the query does have a formula which means it does have a key figure.  It migrates in spite of the error but does not execute and displays the same error message about a key figure needs to be added.
We are on Pacth Level  13.
On a side note, there is a way to restore the query from 7.0 back to 3.5   Abap program 'Component_Restroe' will do it.
    Thanks for your help.

  • Copying Key Figure

I have created an agg. level on a plan cube to input Planned Hours at a cost center level (Employee Excluded from Agg Level).
I then want to assign these planned hours to EVERY employee within that cost center. I currently have Master Cost Center as an attribute of 0EMPLOYEE, and I have created a characteristic relationship on 0EMPLOYEE to Cost Center. I am trying to use a copy function on a new Agg. level that includes employee, but have not been successful.
I am able to successfully perform the copy function if I specify exactly which employee I want to copy to, but how can I copy this key figure to ALL employees within this cost center?
    Ex: Cube contains the following:
    Cost Center   Plan Hour
    0000006405   155
I want top copy the value 155 to ALL empoyees who are contained within the employee attribute cost center 6405.
Emp:  Emp_CC     Cost Center   Plan Hour
    123     6405           6405            155
    145     6405           6405            155
    156     6405           6405            155
In the copy function, I am using # (not assigned) as the from value. This works if I input a specific employee as the to value. I have attempted to use ># as the "to" value in the copy function, and that produces the error "cannot generate combinations in step 00."

Definitely on the right track. Can you please be more specific?
THe FOREACH loop is not returning any values for employee. In debug, it looksl ike this is trying to loop all entries of 0EMPLOYEE that already exist in the cube. Initially there won't be any employees in the cube. I am wanting to read the MD table of 0EMPLOYEE.
Here is what I have so far:
    DATA ZEMP TYPE 0EMPLOYEE.
DATA CC TYPE 0MAST_CCTR.    <= This is the CC in the cube
DATA EMP_CC TYPE 0MAST_CCTR.   <= This is the 0EMPLOYEE attribute Cost Center
    BREAK-POINT.
    CC = OBJV().
FOREACH ZEMP.   <= This foreach has no entries
    EMP_CC = ATRV (0MAST_CCTR, ZEMP).    <= Therefore this EMP_CC is blank
    IF EMP_CC = CC.
    {WCCMTRGD, ZEMP} = {WCCMTRGD, #}.
    {WPLGLPRC, ZEMP} = {WPLGLPRC, #}.
    ENDIF.
    ENDFOR.
Any additional info would be greatly appreciates.
    Thanks!

  • Key figure schema in CO-PA reporting

    Hallo SAP Gurus,
Is there any method to copy the key figure schema created in one operating concern to other operating concern in the same client?
In our company, we have 18 operating concerns for 18 company codes.
I have created one key figure schema for one of the operating concern ( Since as per my knowledge, key figure schema can be created only at the operating concern level. )
Now, since the schema is common to all the operating concerns, I want to copy the same to the other 17 operating concerns.
Expecting your help since creating key figure schema 18 times and updating any changes is very much time consuming.
    regards,
    Viswanathan T R

    Hi Vishwanathan,
I have a same requirement, I want to do KECP because this is asking us to give the transport request and I know when we create key figure scheme we save it under a transport request.
Did KECP help you in doing that? If not, please let me know how did you copy key figure scheme from one operating concern to other.
    Thanks

  • Reset Manually Entered Constrained Forecast Key Figure

We use Demand Planning to forecast future Sales Volumes.  Not too sophisticated.  We take a monthly extract from R/3 which summarize the last months Sales Actuals.
based on a given period of Sales History we then run a statistical forecast whicgh generates future months foreasts.
Once a manual adjustment has been made to a key figure by either Acciount Manager/Marketing Group?Demand Planner, that particular field is highlighted in 'YELLOW'.  Once this is done any future copies of stat numbers into those fields does not overwrite the users manual inputs.  As you would expect.
However we have some apparently manually entered values in our Constrained Key Figures that are completely incorrect.  However because the cells are yellow, the copy key figure macro will not be able to overwrite these values.  Is ther a way I can somehow reset these yellow cells so that they no longer resist the copying of data into them.
Apologies if I am using the incorrect terminology here.
Thanks for anything you can suggest.

I think your requirement could be met by exploring macro functions CELL_BG(), CELL_FG(), CELL_INPUT(), ROW_BG(), ROW()FG or ROW_INPUT() functions. All the macro functions can be made conditional, example a specific technical/business situation leads to color/editability etc.

  • Where are the key figures in standard 0PCA_C01 queries?

    Hello BW experts
I am evaluating the standard BI content queries related to profit center accounting. I found all 0PCA_C01_q* queries don't have any key figures in their column. But when I execute the query It brings out the value.  How is that possible? Is it something related to global structure? Where can I see the information?
Further more, I can not drag and drop any key figures from left panel to the column area. Why is that?
Your help is very much appreciated
    Thanks
    Subbu

    Roberto
I am looking at 0PCA_C01_Q0004, My question is about the columns. It has Plan, Actual, etc. But if I double click each of them, they are all characteristics (0version and 0vtype. Not key figures,. And I can not add any key figures (0credit, 0debit etc) from the left pannel. I made a copy from that query to another query the symptom is still the same.  I am confused. I thought on the columns we need to have key figures not characters. But this query is strange.

  • What is diffrernce between key figures and characteristics?

    Hi all,
I am a newbie to SAP BI....i am doing Masters in ERP(SAP)....I have confusion about what is basic difference between key figures and characteristics?
Why do we have to define attributes in characteristics?
If any one can refer me a thread that answers my questions or explain with very lucid example I will highly appreciate it.....please answer this question as I have just spend 4-5 months studying BI and have not really implemented in the Industry but we do have access to SAP BI where we perform tutorials....
Also please let me know the links to materials where basics of BI are explained in a very simple way.....
    Thanks,

KF is anything which can quantitatively measured: Amount, Number, Value, Price... whatever you want to measure is called Key Figure. This key figures are also called KPI (Key Performance Indicator). If you want to know the number of sales orders, the number of deliveries, the amount of deliveries... all are key figures
And to add to that, key figures are also divided into two:
Cumulative KF: Like I said, amount, value, price
Non-cumulative KF, this is different kind of key figures which shouldn't be summed up, for example: Age, Inventory, Number of Employees.  When  you measure this key figures, you don't add the age of every body, because that doesn't make any sense, but adding the sum of all deliveries, or adding all Sales does make sense, that is the difference between the two key figures.
Characteristics: are anything which couldn't be quantitatively measured: material, customer, plant, employee ID and so on...
Aways, in BI you measure the KF against the Key figures..
    thanks.

  • How to ignore blank/null key figure value in BI Queries

Reports on Multiprovider - we see some cells of a Key figure as blanks. These blanks are interpreted as zeros by the system and calculated accordingly resulting in incorrect values. As per our requirement, we need a count of all hard/real zeros only, not the blanks. For example, if there are 10 rows of which 6 are real zeros and 4 are blanks - our count should be 6 and not 10.
How to ignore the blanks in BEx queries please?
    Thanks for your help.
    Upender

    Rakesh,
It is not possible to find a pattern because the report is on a MultiProvider with 2 InfoProviders- Purchasing documents DSO and Material Movements InfoCube.
Every Purchasing Document has several materials associated with it. These materials are compared with materials in Materials Movement. Not all materials in Purchasing Document are found in Materials Movement. For those Materials found in Materials Movement, the Quantity is obtained. For these found rows, the correct value is showing up - if the quantity is zero, it is showing in reports as zero. If the material is not found in Material Movements then Quantity shows up as blank values.
My requirement is ignore such blank quantities and not count them. Only Quantities with 0 values should be counted. Currently both blanks and zero values are counted showing inflated count.
    Thanks,
    Upender

  • How to copy restricted key figures in query designer ?

    hi,
i have created a query in query designer (BI 7.0).
How can i copy existing restricted key figures ? i can't find anything. i always have to create a new one, and then i have to do all the things like 'details of selection' etc.... manually. that CANNOT be, there MUST be a way to copy those key figures.
    any ideas ?
    best regards, Martin

    Hi Martin,
Restricted key figures can be stored on the infoprovider basis . For which right click on the key figure (left hand side pane ), Select the necessary key figure and assign the restriction through characteristics combination, and give it a restriction and save it . Next tiem when you create query on the same info provider it should appear in the left hand side as readymade reusable piece .
    Hope that helps.

    Hello Elif,
it's not possible because it requires a tecnical name to a restricted or a calculated keyfigure which are cube level. This technical name should be given by you.
