Copy layers or pieces of a layer from one page to another, without masters?

How can I copy layers or pieces of one page to another? I created a master, and I want to create a second master that uses much of the same setup, but I need to go in and input a background photo. However, the only quick way to get the menus and headers from the first master into the second master is actually assigning the master, but then I cannot move the photo to the back of everything. Is there such a way that I can copy those menus and such into a new master without having it assigned to the first master?

In your site plan, right click on the master you would like to use as a second master and choose 'duplicate page'. This will create a new master with all of the elements from the first master but can be edited separate from the first menu.

Our department currently uses MS Paint to place varied colored boxes for callouts on top of screen figures used in our documentation. As you know, MS Paint is not a robust image editing application, and we are frustrated at its limitations (especially not having a "non-destructive" edit capability). I can't seem to find an option to do this. Is there? If not, is there another workflow in PS that you can recommend for this type of procedure?

P.S. How do you drag and drop a layer? I tried dragging a layer to the other open image, but nothing happened. Do you have to hold down a specific key for this (I'm using Windows)?

How to copy and paste manual menu with hyperlinks from one page to another?

Copy paste does not duplicate hyperlinks. Neither does putting it in the library. Both erases links. This is a general menu that will be on every page of the site, do I really have to hyperlink all 40 buttons in accordion menu again?
There has to be a way to copy the accordion with inset vertical menu with the hyperlinks for each button of menu?!?!?

Use a Master Page and create the links on that. (Use A-Master if that will work for your site, but otherwise create a B-Master page (with A-Master as its master - again if that works for your site)). You can then add the hyperlinks once to your new master page and use it for each for each of your other pages. (The new master page is added at the bottom of the "Plan" view of the site and once created you just drag and drop onto the other pages to apply it to them. Hope that all makes sense - it should be pretty easy to do what you want to achieve.

Need to Copy a subform along with content from one page to another page

I am new to Adobe Live Cycle .
I am facing a particular problem in one scenario.
I have a growing list of item i.e the number of Items are uncertain. I have put all these item in a sub form.
Now I need a copy of this sub form from the First page to the 2nd Page.
Basically , I want to copy a Subform along with the content from one page to another.
Can anybody please help me.

In source project open Tempo List (the one that is a list editor). Select all tempo changes and "copy them (command+c)
close project
Open destination project, open Tempo List delete all information and paste (command+V). Remember that Logic should be stopped at the exact position where the first tempo event happens. This is ussually 1.1.1.1, but check it in the source before closing it.

Use File > Import.
Open the File, then navigate to the page you want to import
Be sure to select Insert after current page, or FW will just import the content into the current page itself.

Photoshop: how to drag a layer from one tab to another?

Hello, I am trying to drag a layer from one tab to another in Photoshop and I was able to do this less than 1/2 hour ago and now it will not drag. I have closed the program, restarted my computer, everything and it will not drag. What is wrong???

How come when i copy a color from one page to another, the color looks faded?

I'm using the same color in a multi-page layout. When i copy a color box from one page to another, the color looks faded on some pages. WHY?! Thanks!

So i checked the blend spaces - both are CMYK (as this doc will be offset printed). Something really strange is happening! See attach below: the 2 blues (same setup/blend space, color breakdown, etc...) look different! And my client is PICKY! ugh. HELP! Thanks again!

How can I copy/paste text from one page to another?

I feel like I am taking crazy pills... is there really no way to copy a text box (or group) from one page to another while creating books in Aperture 3? Lets say I have my entire book laid out and I want to add one paragraph at the end on one page which will push text and photos down a half page or so... in most programs for the last decade or so they added really cool functionality... cut/paste... It seems like the apple developers are aware of it because they are in the context menus but they don't work on text, only photo boxes. Additionally, you can copy/paste text but it erases all formatting.
Seriously, am I missing something? I have trouble believing that they can't include this function.
Anyone else have this issue?

Update... it seems to only happen with text boxes which I create. So when I try an existing theme I can cut/copy/paste just fine, but in that same theme if you edit the layout and add a new text box, I can't copy paste it anywhere... the options are in the menu but nothing happens.
Thoughts? Solutions?

Can Pages automatically copy text from one page to another?
For example recurring text in a document e.g. addressee details or a date (not today's date).
I want to type the topic title of one letter and have it automatically filled into the correct field in the next page which will be a letter to a different recipient.
The letter text will be different for each recipient so mail merge probably won't work.

Cannot copy buttons from one page to another 95% of attempts.
5% of attempts button copies, but only once.
2nd paste attempt 100% failure.

I copied the iPhoto Library to a CD and from there to the new MacBook
If you copied the library to the CD via the Finder it would be no different than the methods Terence suggested. If you used the Share ➙ Burn menu option from inside iDVD you'll get a mini library that has to be accessed from the open library and the events/alubums copied into the destination library. Not the same as the other methods.
The Share ➙ Burn method is no longer supported with iPhoto 9 and later.

You can copy it to the new page and delete it from the first one.
To copy it:
1. Open your page that contain the region.
2. In the Regions division is icons for 'Edit All','Copy' and 'Create'. Click on copy.
3. A list of your regions will show. Choose the one that you want to copy / move.
4. The next screen asks you to which page you want to copy it. You can also specify if you want to take the items and buttons with.
5. Click Next.
6. Click Copy Region.
Just remove it now from the first page.

Move a site from one Mac to another without losing sites already there

I would like to move a site from one Mac to another without losing the websites that I have already built on the other Mac. Transfering the Domain file is not helping. Is there away to open the new domain file and adding those sites to the domain file associated with this copy of iWeb? I have searched the discussions but am not seeing any clear answers. They all seam to invilve new users or losing the sites already on that mac.

I seem to have solved my own problem. This may help other users. I found a tip and a web page that suggested moving the Domain File from the application support folder to another on the desktop on one of the computers and then putting the 2nd Domain File from the other computer in a separate folder on the desktop. This is because you can not change the name of the Domain File . Then by double clicking the Domain File with the site wanted, iWeb opens with that set of sites.
I started with what was to be the new master Domain File and stated a new site with a blank page. saved, did not publish and closed iWeb. Opened from the other Domain File and then clicked and opened the site and page I wanted, then selected all, copied all and closed iweb. Went back to the master Domain File , opened iWeb using that, went to the blank page and pasted in the page from the other Domain File from the other computer. Saved, closed iWeb and repeated till I had all pages. Changed the names to match the sites and Pages. I did not allow iWeb to publish during this process. Took all of 10 minutes and I now have a Domain File with all the sites in one place. I then copied this file back into its original location in Library/application support/iWeb on both computers. I now have all sites in iWeb on both computers.
