Copy Multiproviders

Hi Gurus,
I'm copying multiprovider and it consists of the three ODS and one InfoSet, I did the copy of each one of the ODS and Infoset but finally when I’m copying the multiprovider it is not ok and appears a message like this:
Caution: InfoProviders (EMTIINV, for example) have been deleted
Message no. R7I120
Diagnosis
The InfoProviders have either been deleted manually from the initial screen where you maintain the MulitProvider,or the InfoProviders that previously belonged to the MultiProvider no longer exist.
This problem arises by the Infoset ! What can I do?
Somebody help me pls

Hi ,
Yes, you were correct. I copied the MP which consists of ODS's,  and cubes but when you try to copy a Infoset the system throws that error.
I assume we canot copy MP which consists if infosets.
Its not the problem with the EMTIINV, I have the similar problem with APJ area now.
Let me know if you find an answer
Thanks

  • How to copy multiprovider ?

    hi,experts
is there a simple way to copy multiproviders without the action of  assigning  infoproviders for each component in the muliproviders? I want to do some test on the existing model after a little modification ,and the query is based on multiprovider which includes 2 infocubes.
I find that the tcode RSZC is not available in such situation . it can only be used after the multiprovider is copyed .
can anyone give me a clue ?thanks in advance~~

    Hi,
The tcode RSZC is used to copy Query/Query elements from one infoProvider to other infoProvider. You need to first copy the multiprovider as suggested above and then you may copy the existing query using RSZC.
    Thanks...

  • Copying queries between multicubes without having the same info objects

    Hello all,
I have heard that it should be possible to use the debugger in order to copy a report between two multiproviders without having the exact same info objects in both multiproviders. All the info objects in the report are off course available in both multiproviders.
Could anyone explain to me how this should be done?
    Best regards,

    Hi Fredrik.

  • WHAT IS  THE USE OF COPY/MATCH OPTION  IN BUISNESS CONTENT

WHAT IS  THE USE OF COPY/MATCH OPTION  IN BUISNESS CONTENT  GIVE DETAILS

    Hi,
    Match (X) or Copy
If the SAP delivery version and the active version can be matched, a checkbox is displayed in this column.
With the most important object types, the active version and the SAP delivery version can be matched.
From a technical point of view, the SAP delivery version (D version) is matched with the M version. As in most cases the M version is identical to the active version (A version) in a customer system, this is referred to as a match between the D and A versions for reasons of simplification.
When a match is performed, particular properties of the object are compared in the A version and the D version. First it has to be decided whether these properties can be matched automatically or whether this has to be done manually. A match can be performed automatically for properties if you can be sure that the object is to be used in the same way as before it was transferred from Business Content.  When performing matches manually you have to decide whether the characteristics of a property from the active version are to be retained, or whether the characteristics are to be transferred from the delivery version.
    Example of an automatic match
Additional customer-specific attributes have been added to an InfoObject in the A version. In the D version, two additional attributes have been delivered by SAP that do not contain the customer-specific attributes.  In order to be able to use the additional attributes, the delivery version has to be installed from Business Content again. At the same time, the customer-specific attributes are to be retained. In this case, you have to set the indicator (X) in the checkbox.  After installing the Business Content, the additional attributes are available and the customer-specific enhancements have been retained automatically. However, if you have not checked the match field, the customer-specific enhancements in the A version are lost.
    Example of a manual match
An InfoObject has a different text in the A version than in the D version. In this case the two versions have to be matched manually. When Business Content is installed, a details screen appears which asks you to specify whether the text should be transferred from the active version or from the D version.
The Match indicator is set as default in order to prevent the customer version being unintentionally overwritten. If the Content of the SAP delivery version is to be matched to the active version, you have to set the Install indicator separately.
The active version is overwritten with the delivery version if
¡        the match indicator is not set and
¡        the install indicator is set.
In other words, the delivery version is copied to the active version.
If the Install indicator is not set, the object is not copied or matched. In this case, the Match indicator has no effect.
In the context menu, two options are available:
                                a.      Merge All Below
The object in the selected hierarchy level and all objects in the lower levels of the hierarchy are selected as to Match.
                                b.      Copy All Below
The Match indicators are removed for the object in the selected hierarchy level and all objects in the lower levels of the hierarchy. If the Install indicator is also set, these objects are copied from the delivery version to the active version.
The most important properties which are taken into account when versions are matched are now listed.
When referring to InfoObjects it is important to differentiate between:

    ¡        MultiProviders
    ¡        InfoCubes
    ¡        ODS Objects and
    ¡        InfoObjects
InfoObjects are discussed above (see the first table Valid for All Objects Named Above).
Valid for All InfoProviders Named Above:
    Properties Matched Automatically:
    Properties Matched Manually:
    ·        New InfoObjects
If InfoObjects in the delivery version do not yet exist in the active version, they are transferred.
    ·        Manual matching is not necessary.
    Valid for MultiProviders
    Properties Matched Automatically:
    Properties Matched Manually:

    Properties Matched Manually:
    ·        New dimensions
If dimensions in the delivery version do not yet exist in the active version, they are transferred.
    ·        Manual matching is not necessary.
With the InfoObject catalog object type, InfoObjects that are assigned to a catalog in the delivery version are transferred to the active version automatically. Manual matching is not necessary.
With the transfer rule object type, those objects that exist in the delivery version but are not yet contained in the active version (for example, additional attributes) are added automatically when the match is performed.  Manual matching is not necessary.
With the process chain object type, those objects that exist in the delivery version but are not yet contained in the active version (for example, additional objects in the process chain) are added automatically when the match is performed.  Manual matching is not necessary.
    ·        Active Version Available
In this column, the following display options are available:
¡        : The object is available in an active version. You decide whether you want to retain this version or reinstall the latest version of the object.
¡        Date symbol: The object is already available in an active version. However, the active version belongs to an older Content release. SAP recommends that you install the latest version.
¡        Gray symbol: An activated version of the object is available in the system. However, the object status is inactive. If an object version is activated, this indicates that all metadata for the object can be created successfully. The inactive object status indicates that the processed object is inconsistent and cannot currently be used for processing data. Transfer the object again from the SAP delivery version (D version).  If this is not enough to change the object status from “inactive” to “active” the object has to be postprocessed. You find notes on postprocessing in the activation log.
Postprocessing: An inactive object status may also occur for an InfoObject if changes are made to the structure at field level. Postprocessing the object involves converting the relevant tables in accordance with the activation log.
¡        No indicator: The object is not available in an active version.
    7. Make Settings in the Selection List and Install.
Make the required settings in the  Install selection list:
    Installation Type
    Installation Type
    Information
    Simulate installation
The system runs a test to see whether any errors are likely to occur during the installation. However, not all errors that may occur can be identified during simulation: Some error messages can only be generated when a real A version (and not just a simulation) is available in the system. You should, therefore, only use the simulation function as a rough guide to help you identify and remove basic errors.
    Install
The selected objects are installed immediately.
    Install in background
The selected objects are installed in the background.
    Install and transport
The selected objects are installed immediately and then written to a transport request.
SAP recommends you use the Install in background option because installing a large number of objects can take a long time. Modifying objects that are already active can take an especially long time to complete. Make sure that when you install objects in the background that the versions are not matched. It is always the delivery versions that are installed. These are not matched with any available customer versions.

  • Copy Calculated/Restricted Keyfigures between DIFFERENT InfoProviders

    Hello Gurus,
I am struggling with a problem and there doesn't seem to be any clear help on the web. But maybe you can help me.
How can one copy a restricted keyfigure from one infoprovider to another different one when all the infoobjects used for the restricted keyfigure are present in both the providers? (multicubes)
And of course TCode RSZC doesn't work with non-identical infoproviders.
Thank you very much for your help!
    Marius

Thank you Cornelia, but this method was clear for me from the begining... it is not an option though... there are about 30 InfoObjects (and another 40 Multiproviders) so there has to be another way. And there is a way because there is an article on BWExpertOnline which describes an easy method (unfortunately this answer is not worth a thousand dollar subscription for me):
    Quick Tip
    Copy Queries Between InfoProviders Painlessly
by Joerg Boeke, syskoplan AG BEx Analyzer, InfoCubes, Performance, Query, Debug Mode, InfoProvider
Perhaps, like me, you have spent countless hours successfully creating great queries that contain complex structures for a particular InfoProvider. Then, down the road, you find you need this exact query again for another InfoProvider, but the new InfoProvider has a single characteristic that differs from the one that was the object of your original query. Using SAP transaction RSZC (copying queries between InfoCubes), query definitions can be copied only for use on InfoProviders with the same characteristics. If the key bfigures and characteristics of the new InfoProvider do not match the original 100 percent, this standard method fails.
So close and yet so far, right? I’ll show you a way, however, to copy the query definition from one InfoProvider to another, regardless of the characteristics of the new target. This method works with both BW 2.x and 3.x installations.
    Source: [http://www.bw-biexpertonline.com/archive/Volume_03_(2005)/Issue_06_(July)/V3I6A2.cfm?session=|http://www.bw-biexpertonline.com/archive/Volume_03_(2005)/Issue_06_(July)/V3I6A2.cfm?session=]
The above mentioned method handles the copying of queries but when we copy the queries we copy the restricted/calculated keyfigures also.
Does anybody know this painless method?
    I thank you in advance.

  • Copy Query between Aggregation Levels

We wish to copy input-ready queries between Aggregation Levels using NW2004s, however the old BW transaction RSZC to copy queries only appears to work for queries on InfoCubes or MultiProviders.
Does anyone know if it is possible to copy queries between aggregation levels or do we need to manually recreate them each time?
    Cheers,
    R

    Hi RM,
I have also been looking for this when setting up integrated planning.
As far as I know, you have to manually recreate them.
Please assign points if this solved your problem,

  • How to copy Bex queires from another multi provider

    Hi Experts,
I developed one new multi provider in dev box, i need to developed some queries on this multi provider but same queries having another multi provider.
finally i need copy some exesting queries to another new multoprovider with different technical name? how to do that?
    Many thanks
    David

    Hi David,
RSZC allows to copy queries from one cube/mutlirprovider to another cube/mutliprovider having same structure..
if not you use the below procedure to copy between multiproviders of differnt structures.
    Function Module Name : -       RSZ_I_COPY_QRY_TO_CUBE
    Step :- 1
Open the Function Module in se37.
    Step :- 2
Set break point in the line below.
      IF l_subrc <> 0 OR l_is_compliant = rs_c_false.
Itu2019s the check just below Infocube compliance check.
    Step :- 3
         Run the FM.
    Step :- 4
Give the inputs for source infocube and target infocube.
    Step :- 5
It takes you to the breakpoint set in the FM.
Change the value of l_is_compliant to u2018Xu2019 in the Variable screen.
    Hit F8.
    Step :- 6
The system takes you to the select component screen.
         Select the query and transfer.
    Step :- 7
It now leads to Rename component screen. Rename the query as per naming convention.
         Hit Enter.
    Step :- 8
You see a lot of error messages because of the incompatibility of the cubes. Just scroll down in the log to end. Your query copy message should be in green. If it is green that shows the query was copied
Once the query is copied , you need to open the query on the target multiprovider and then you need to save in eitther cases..whether using RSZC of same source/target structures or using the above procedure for non simialar strcutures.

  • List all MultiProviders in Development server

    Hi Guru's,
I would like to list all the MultiProviders in my Development server. Could someone tell what is the transaction code to list all the MP.
    Thanks in advance.
    Krishna

    Hi Krishna,
Please have a look into this table RSDCUBEMULTI,its specfic to the multiprovider and related infocubes.Give the vesion as A .You can also extract only multiprovider names by writing a simple select query in a report program as per your need.
Please copy this code into a report program.
DATA: BEGIN OF itab OCCURS 0,
          mcube TYPE rsdcubemulti-infocube,
          END OF itab.
SELECT DISTINCT infocube FROM rsdcubemulti INTO TABLE itab order by infocube ascending.
    IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
      LOOP AT itab INTO itab.
        WRITE: / itab-mcube.
      ENDLOOP.
    ENDIF.
I hope it  might be helpful.

  • Unable to capture IdcService on certain webdav actions like copy-paste

We wrote a simple checkin filter long back for the Dynamix Prefix functionality.
We have written an If Clause to restrict running this for any services other than CHECKIN related ones, by checking the value of IDCService parameter
There is a scenario where users copy files present in one folder in UCM and paste it under another folder (thus creating a new content item altogether), using Webfolders.
In 10g, even this case produced correct Prefix as service name. We used to have "validateStandard" filter used for this activity.
In 11g, due to some complications and changed filters, we started using "preComputeDocName" filter.
In 11g PS3, We are unable to capture IDCService here and hence unable to assign Dynamic Prefix. Any suggestions?
Currently we only fire the code if IdcService contains "CHECKIN_" or "WEBDAV_PUT" or "COLLECTION_COPY"

Good morning! HP AiO Remote App is installed on my iPad4 and in the same WiFi network with my HP Envy 120 printer. The printer is recognized by the app and marked with a green led. When I tap on scan or copy in the app menu, it tells me that these functions were available in the app only for printers which provide these features. But HP Envy 120 has both scanner and copier. Hi UJKarl, welcome to the HP Forums. You should be able to scan from the HP AIO Remote App on your Envy 120 printer. You probably just need to power cycle the printer, iPad and router to regain proper function.
Turn off your printer with the power button. Power down the iPad by holding the sleep button down until you get the option to 'slide to power off'. Then disconnect the power cord to your router and count to about 10, and then plug it back in. Once the router comes back online, turn the printer on. When the printer comes back online (blue wi-fi light stops blinking), then power the iPad back up. Try again, and it should work.
Let me know how it turns out.

  • Aio remote update copy

Been using the aio app for sometime now with no problems, very happy!
But.....the latest upgrade seems no longer to have a simple "photocopy" function, used it a lot in the past...simple!
Now it seems I have to do scan or photograph and then fiddle with parameters like paper size and getting the right configuration etc. not nearly as simple as before....document on table close lid and then "copy" and that was it!
Anyone else seen this, am I missing something? Hopefully I'll get my "copy" button back in the next version......??

    Hello John_france,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see that the current is version is 4.3.1, if this is the one you have, then it appears that yes, that feature has been removed. Why, I do not know and with this knowledge I do not plan on updating my All-in-One Remote app on my iPad. I'll keep and open eye for updates and let you know what I find out. Cheers!

  • Copy file from mounted DMG to the Applications folder?

I'm wanting to copy file (application) from a mounted DMG to the Applications folder. Something like:
    tell application "Finder"
    try
    copy "Volumes:Dropbox Installer:Dropbox.app" to folder "Volumes:Macintosh HD:Applications"
    end try
    end tell
    (But that doesn't work).
Preferably overwriting the existing application in that folder. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    tell application "Finder"
duplicate file "Volumes:S001TEST:S001-S001c-TEST.zip" to folder "Volumes:Macintosh HD:Applications" with replacing
    end tell
I tried this principle in Applescript (Mavericks) and received error...
Finder got an error: Can’t set folder "Volumes:Macintosh HD:Applications" to file "Volumes:S001TEST:S001-S001c-TEST.zip".
"001TEST" is a disk image with filename of "S001TEST.dmg"
Any ideas why this won't work?

  • Copying file from mounted disc image.

    Hi
I'm trying to copy a file from a mounted .iso file but it says i don't have permission to do so ( error code -39).
Is there any way around this?
    Thanks in advance.
    George.

Its a folder containg many files, most of which it copies fine then it gets to one particular file and the copying stops giving the following error.
' The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “Session Strings Pro020.nkx” can’t be read or written.
    (Error code -36) '
My mistake it's error code -36!
I've tried copying to my internal and external harddrives.
The file that fails to copy is 1.05gb it copies just 250mb of it before stopping.

  • Delete file from original location and when copied size of file increases.

    hi !
I have 2 exe's both of 1.15MB which I want to move to another folder. The files are copied to the folder but the size of exe increases to around 350MB each. What can be the problem ?
    BufferedOutputStream bos=new BufferedOutputStream(new FileOutputStream(filename));
    int o=bis.read();
    do{bos.write(o);}while (o!=-1);
    boolean del=this.fpara.delete();
System.out.println(del);          Also, the file is not deleted from the original location even though I have used the delete function. The last line produces null output.

    And do follow coding conventions

If your original source is all jammed up like the snippet you posted, I'm not surprosed that you can't spot your mistakes.
